The heading says it all. With the exception of a very little bit of the story devoted to characters introduced in The Road to Woodbury, this book is just the storyline from the graphic novel installments devoted to the Governor. I won't be buying Part 2.

I love the Walking Dead comic book and the previous two novels but this one just felt stretched thin in some parts for example the part where Lilly has to find a pregnancy test. Woodsbury was described as a place where prostitution occurred frequently. I find it hard to believe that she would have had to go searching for one outside of the fence and that there wasn't one being traded at the store in town. Also a large portion of the book is just a novel retelling of the comic book and it just felt like last minute filler. I liked the story but I feel it would have been better if all of the stuff that was already covered in the comic was left out and wished they had just focused on Lilly.

I have enjoyed all the books, and pre-ordered this book. Much to my surprise, it is 1 of 2 books, what a rip off. The book wasn't very long either and $11. I'm thinking I won't order or purchase the next book. Enjoy!!!!

Interesting twist to what went on between Mishone and the Governor. When watching the show every week and getting attached to the characters and the comic books being different and the books, like different endings!

I was really excited about getting this book. I liked it but I was disappointed that it was so much like the comics. I read the comics so I was hoping the book was different. The other two novels were different from the comics.I will get part two of the book but i hope the second one is not like the comics. Love the comics but I wanted an original story line for the novels.

I read on the walking dead website that the decision was made to split this book into two because the story was too large. They cared about the fans so much that they didn't want us to miss one word of the story. I have no problem with that.
What I DO have a problem with is charging full price for a half a book.

There's no denying Kirkman is cashing in right now. The onslaught of garbage merchandise is staggering. I have no problem with that either because I'm fine with just the comics, show and books. But this type of three card monte just doesn't sit well with me. And I find it interesting that Kirkman couldn't find the time to mention this in the letters page of the comic...because had I known, I wouldn't have bought this book...to send a message.

This "review" has nothing to do with the books content. I haven't read it yet. I'm just angry because I came on board thinking I was getting the full story for $75 and now it has been upped to $100 and two of those volumes are thin in comparison to the others (yet inexplicably, the same price.)

Enjoy your money, Kirkman...get it while you can!
