Gunpowder Chowder (A Hooked & Cooked Cozy Mystery Series Book 1)

I really enjoyed the conversational style of this book. Friendships grow as things become crazy in the harbor town. Lots of characters to choose from before the murderer is revealed. Definitely for fans of cozy mysteries!

Good plot! What has the sand sculpture competition have to do with murder? The characters are good and the family dynamics are easy to relate to. Nice twists and the romance is played just right. Shame about the proofing errors but a good read. Recommended

Great setting with some very interesting characters. The hijinks that figure in the past problems are without a doubt funny. And the turns that happen through the book finally get the murderer caught.

Ms Cole should be awarded for her writing skills. The Black Cat cafe series and the Lily bloom series keeps you turning pages even when you know you have other things to do. Read them all and loose yourselves in her books.
