This is Skye’s version of the Step-Brother trope, and let’s be honest, Skye’s version of anything is always better.

Harper and Christopher meet each other when their parents marry. At first, they hate each other…duh, they’re step-siblings. It doesn’t get better than when 2 people meet and hate each other right away. These two hate each other so much it’s delicious. Even though the marriage doesn’t last, they find some common ground and keep in contact. I love the letters that these 2 write each other! And they are actual snail-mail letters…classic. I’m usually not a fan of letters in a book, but these 2 are just so adorable and snarky at first.

Harper is a budding artist, a great one. Christopher is a business man, and when Harper’s father leaves everything to Christopher, Harper and her mother must rely on him for funding. The will is so detailed, and Christopher is so honorable (as far as we know. Lol) that he will uphold the father’s wishes. This is the line being drawn between Harper and Christopher, MONEY.

Even in a novella, I get caught up in Skye’s writing. It’s like she hypnotizes me every time with her words, and I have no choice but to love all the things in her brain.

Now we have the story behind the full novel, and I can’t wait to read more about these two. I have to admit. I am a little scared because there is another man mentions in the synopsis of the full book, so I am hoping Skye doesn’t write a love triangle….right, Skye? Right?....Skye?.....Hello?....

Trust Fund is the prologue for Harper’s story.

In this short story we have Harper, is 15, she the daughter of a billionaire. Harper’s mother and father divorced when she was younger. Her father does pay for her private school and boarding, but that is all. Harper loves to paint and is very good at it.

Harper goes out on her father’s yacht with his new wife and her son, Christopher who is 18, and working on completing his freshman year of college with a 4.0. Harpers father loves Christopher as his own son. Harper knows his mother’s time will soon be up as her father is a serial divorcée.

Over the next few years Harper & Christopher write letters and keep in contact with each other.

Harper has a big art gallery opening and her parents will be in the same room with one another. Christopher is coming also to the opening. Harper’s father cannot believe that Harper’s art is a glorious as everyone has ever said. She is a young protege. Christopher can’t believe her art either, he knew she was good but really can’t believe the pieces she’s out together.

Tradgy strikes and now Christopher will be in Harper’s life for the next five years and possibly longer.

Since reading the Endgame series and then the Masterpiece Duet by Skye Warren I was hoping for Harper to have her own story.

Trust Fund is the prologue of her story. Oh I love this interesting and addictive beginning of her story.

Harper St. Claire is 15 years old is a gifted painter who has been hurt by many men in her short life and her billionaire father has just remarried again; from a string of divorces. But it is Harper’s new stepbrother who interests her.

Christopher Bardot is about eighteen; a freshman in college with a 4.0 GPA. He is ambitious and crave the kind of world that Harper’s dad moves in. He is dark and brooding but also has a caring side. His mother’s marriage doesn’t last long but Harper and Christopher keep in contact through letters for five years. These letters bind and connect them closer and build their friendship of each other more.

Tragedy strikes and Christopher is now 18-year-old Harper’s Trust Fund executor. Fireworks explode between these two as Christopher struggles with duty and obligation against matters of the heart. Harper is left wondering how her mother and she will survive.

This novelette is a great teaser to the novel that will soon follow. I just finished it and cannot wait to read the rest of the story.

Harper is the daughter of a super billionaire. Although the child supports her dad pays can only be spent on the exclusive school she goes to and the luxury loft she and her mom live in, she adores her dad. Whatever happened between her parents to cause the divorce is still a mystery. She only knows they hate each other now. Food is scarce and there is no money for other necessities, so her mother keeps marrying men who do not stay loyal just to support them.

This is the story of how Harper meets Christopher, son of one of the many wives her father goes through in the last ten years. Their friendship is one that will last longer than either of them could have predicted.

I will not give away the plot of this prologue, just know unexpected events will set the stage for a story that you will not want to miss.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the author for sharing a copy with me.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

Trust Fund is the Prologue to Skye Warrens soon coming Survival of the Richest. In this prologue we meet Harper St. Claire when she is fifteen years old. Coming to stay with her dad and newest step family for a week on his boat. These new wife's and kids never last long with Harper's dad who is a very rich man so she knows better than to even get to know any of them. However with Christopher the latest stepbrother she is drawn to him. Yet the next year he is no longer her stepbrother but Harper writes to him. Now in college and having a art showing Harper invites Christopher never expecting that night to change her life forever or throw Christopher into it in a way that she doesn't want him there. Her life is falling apart and I for one can not wait to get my hands on Survival of the Richest to see what happens. I loved this prologue and it has just enough information in it to keep you reading and then wanting more. This is a must read for sure.

Sometimes, words can be simple and still haunt you with their depth. That's how it feels to read this author's stories. That's why I'll never stop.

This novella is a preface to the novel that will release in June, yet it feels deep, weighted, and haunting.

The poor little rich girl ceases to be a cliché soon enough when Harper opens her mouth to utter her intelligent remarks and her righteous, artistic rage. Even though she speaks real-life tragedy, it was a wondrous thing. And specially because it was linked to Christopher, that stepbrother who could have been a temporary nuisance but turns out to become a white knight in a suit.

I loved the beautiful words, the bittersweet family bonds, the blossoming relationship that starts on a yatch, and the heart-breaking ending that holds so much promise and drama for the characters' future.

Oh, how I love to suffer with this author...

(I'm happy to share my honest opinion of this arc)

Wow! What a compelling beginning to one of my most anticipated reads for Skye Warren. I have been waiting for this story since we met Harper, Avery’s eccentric best friend, in The Pawn. And Dang, the wait was absolutely worth it! After reading Trust Fund, the extended prologue for Survival of the Richest, I know that this couple will have one heck of a story and I am salivating for the rest of Harper and Christopher’s story. I really love how their story begins in Trust Fund. It was about time I learned the mystery behind Harper and Christopher’s love/hate relationship that we got a glimpse of in The Endgame trilogy. Just from this extended prologue, I can tell that Harper is going to be one of my favorite Skye Warren characters. She is strong, caring, and eccentric which are my favorite qualities in a girl! I’m so pumped to get the rest of her story in Survival of the Richest, and I am so glad that I won’t have to wait super long to get my hands on it.

Skye Warren has piqued my curiosity with this prequel to to her upcoming novel Survival of the Richest.

I've already been waiting for Harper's story and now to learn she has a past with Christopher is extra enticing. Harper has been in and out of Skye's Endgame and Masterpiece series books and was such an interesting supporting character. Now we've been given a glimpse into her backstory, we understand her a lot better, and I am so eager to read all about her life.

Trust Fund has set the stage for a very steamy and rocky love-hate relationship between Christopher and Harper. Christopher is now bound to Harper out of loyalty to her father but that very loyalty will test them both and may very well tear them apart.

Survival of the Richest is going to be amazing and Trust Fund gave me just enough to grit my teeth and beg for more.

This story was so enlightening! Why Harper seems to have a deep distrust for her stepbrother Christopher. I was saddened to see how their very special relationship was seemingly destroyed in a matter of minutes. Due to a reading of a will, and her love and need to take care of her mother. Even though she was shallow and only cared about her station in life, not Harper. Christopher is such a loving and tender man, who cares about Harper above all else. Skye Warren draws you into her stories and lets you see through their outer facade and feel their pain. The beginning of Christopher and Harper's relationship was so tragic, I hope that in the next book they realize how much they really love each other, and get past all their past differences in opinion.

Good God people!! What a story!! Trust Fund was everything I want and love in a Skye Warren story. It was sexy, explosive and sets the scene for all the explosions to come in Survival of the Richest. I was seriously addicted to Harper and Christopher from the Endgame series and Escort but OMG I am ready for the fireworks to come!!

When 15 year old Harper St. Claire's father marries Christopher Bardot's mother, she could never have expected her new stepbrother to rock her world so soundly. They have a deep connection that deepens through friendship over the years but when obligation and duty get in the way of their burgeoning feelings - it's pure fireworks!! I seriously cannot wait for Survival of the Richest! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

This book is everything! This is highly anticipated story of heiress Harper St Claire and mysterious step brother Christoper Bardot. Harper met Christopher at an early age when her father and his mother married for a short period of time. During that encounter , Christopher saved Harper’s life. That brief meeting sparked a friendship that expanded several years even after the divorce of Harper’s dad and Christopher’s mom. When Harper meets Christopher again, she is now a woman and the sexual attraction is intensified. Soon after, Harper’s world comes to holt and the pending circumstances brings a wedge in their relationship. The storyline continues with the follow up story Survival of the Richest. Let the angst and struggle for love begin!

At last we get Harper!!!! And what an introduction to she and Christopher this was.
We’ve had teases of this deliciously forbidden stepbrother romance for a while now; each time getting only an inkling into the mutual attraction and dislike for one another.
Trust Fund gives us a deeper look into the first meeting, the intervening years, and finally the catalyst and aftermath of what their relationship looks like at the point we first meet Harper in the Endgame series.
As always, the writing is flawless, the descriptions evocative and the characters intriguing in their combined secrecy and frankness.
I’m sure I’m not the only person now impatiently awaiting Survival of the Richest!

As always with this author, the writing is phenomenal! I recommend reading this prologue ASAP, so you will be ready for more come June!

Harper is the daughter of a billionaire. She likes to push the limits and she is witty and passionate. She loves to paint and soon will become well known for it.

Christoper is mysterious. He is working on his freshman year of college. He’s protective of Harper and always keeps his word.

OMG Skye has done it again.........This is the prequel to what looks to be another FANTASTIC series.........My curiosity is going to kill me until I get my hands on the next book! Harper was a back character in her last series that was to die for. Now we get to see her character play out in a story of her own......Harper and Christopher meet when she is only 15 and then run into each other again a few years later......Let the games begin!

I was lucky enough to get to read and ARC of this book......And I honestly cant wait for the next one!

Fantastic story. The connection between Harper and Christopher is intense. One of many step-siblings, Harper doesn't expect to feel anything for her very dark and handsome stepbrother. After he literally saves her life, they develop a very unsibling relationship. Throughout the years, they secretly keep in touch. After an unexpected and sudden tragedy, they are thrown together in an unattainable situation.

I couldn't put this book down. The twists and turns made the story so intriguing. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Skye Warren fans have been patiently waiting for Christopher and Harper's story...well maybe not patiently...LOL
But, it's finally here and it's just the beginning...it's true what they say about that fine line between love and hate.
Christopher is torn between protecting Harper and doing his duty, and Harper is torn too, but her struggle is less about duty and all about heart.
I'm all in, I can't wait to see if these two will finally get their HEA...I'm so thrilled to see how their story began.

We have met Harper and Christopher in plenty of Skye's books, this little teaser about their background story makes me yearn for Survival of the Richest which tells the whole story of these two. Harper isn't your average heiress and Christopher isn't who he seems he is. A tale of trust and betrayal sets the groundwork for the fireworks that are sure to follow in their book. I loved the chemistry and the outright devotion that started them off.

We met Harper St Claire and Christopher Bardot in Skye's previous books. I can't express how excited I was to read this prologue.

“I learned early not to trust men or money.”

Harper meets her stepbrother Christopher and is intrigued, she know not to get attached because her fathers marriages never last.
In a moment of weakness Harper allowes Christopher in.
I can't wait for Survival of the Richest.

For fans of the authors previous books this story has been greatly anticipated I know I've wanted Harper and Christopher's story.
This is a an extended prologue that is the back story to what I just know is going to be a passionate story full of angst. Even though Harper is young when they meet you can feel the chemistry and connection between them.

I can't wait to we get the full story.

omg.. how can emotions be invoked so strongly in a prequel story.. again! only skye warren can do this to me holy crap what a beginning. absolutely loved Christopher until the end. also loved harper's awkward wit but that moment near the end when she was talking about medusa as if it was her in third person.. my heart shook. I was guessing it but still made me sad at the realization of it all.

Only Skye Warren can grab me so tightly with just an extended prologue - a novella - and leave me desperate for the full story of these characters. Harper meets Christopher when she's only 15 - he quite literally saves her life. The friendship that blossoms is everything I love about romance reads. The cliffy left me throwing my IPad on my bed. I can't wait for Survival of the Richest!!!

The chemistry between Harper and Christopher was hot. The book was and fun and short read. This was a good older guy, younger lady romance. Skye sucked me into the story. I found myself saying one more chapter until I reached the end. It was a short story that you are able to finish in one sitting.

This is Harper and Christopher’s backstory. They are in the Endgame trilogy as secondary characters. They meet when Harper is visiting her father. They bond over a shared experience.

Amazing start to the new series. Leaves you wanting more yet setting up the acrimony perfectly!!
