She never fails! Brenda Jackson has the ability to draw you in from the beginning to the end. I love the families that she's created, the bond. I also love the strong protective men she write about, nothing makes you feel more feminine than a good man. WELL done on ALL of her books!

Mrs Jackson never seems to let me down! Lord knows the Westmoreland men gets better and better. Riley made me want to take a walk in the cold.. that man is so hot!!! I loved Alpha for the woman that she stood for and how she knew the true meaning of standing by your family when others are against them (NOT GIVING ANYTHING AWAY. . LOL). Through all the turmoil that Riley and Alpha went through in their lives seperately.. it was total combustion when they came together. Showing again. .. that true love conquers all!!

Anything with a Westmoreland is hot and this one was no exception. Brenda is one of my favorite author and I've read almost everything from her but the Westmorelands are my favorites. I want to find me a Westmoreland.

I love the earlier Westmoreland books , but I feel the last two books were more filled about the other family members than the main two. I feel there could of been a lil more drama or something instead of filler of all the family members. Thank goodness Mrs. Jackson didn't repeat some of the Atlanta Westmoreland stories! I still love the books, but I am tired of hearing so much about the other family members.

Nailing the various male depth and variety was key . . .
Overall 4 out of 5 stars
Performance 4 out of 5 stars
Story 4 out of 5 stars

Riley Westmoreland was in for the biggest surprise of his life when he meets Alpha Blake. She was the event planner that he was a bit reluctant to working with. After one long appraising look he changed his mind. It became his mission to find any reason to see her. Alpha was in a new environment all together. This was the girl use to the fun and sun of Florida. She was determined to make her new life all part of Denver. Brenda Jackson gave us a romance that was sweet and inevitable. There were some moments but we know that it would all work out for them. Alpha and Riley both needed to talk more and trust more. There were communication issue and of course a jealous ex. This one had more and less all at the same time. But following the family was worth the read.

The Westmoreland family is full of strong independent males and to have a narrator that portray that and the female side was nice.

As far as I'm concerned these Westmoreland books can go on into perpetuity, that's how much I love them. I even spent a weekend recently re-reading some of the older stories. That's a big deal because I have way too many books on my to-be-read list to go back and read something twice. One Winter's Night is a great addition to the series.

Riley Westmoreland is part of the Denver branch of the family and one of the last one's to settle down. The company he owns with his brother Dillon, Blue Ridge Land Management has an upcoming holiday party. Dillon normally handles these type of events, but because his wife, Pam, is due to give birth soon, the responsibility now falls on Riley to make this party a success.

Working closely with Alpha Blake, the event planner, proves difficult for Riley as their attraction to each other is immediate and he has a strict no mixing business with pleasure rule. Alpha is in the same boat having relocated to Denver from Florida after a failed engagement. Neither are looking for anything permanent, but sometimes these things can't be denied.

Riley Westmoreland meets his event planner Alpha Blake when she gets stranded on the side of the road on the way to the meeting with him. She is just Moving from the south to a place that is amazily colder than she suspects or even thing. In comes this gorgeous man with dark piercing eyes that catches her attention the moment they meet. She begins to have feelings for him without actually telling him the full extent of the reason why she's suddenly changed career and moved away from all she has ever known. Along comes a sex tape with a girl on the cover that looks shockingly like Alpha. Riley knows its not Alpha so he doesn't even confront her on it but like most women whom gets wind up their sail she jumps to the wrong conclusion and dumps Riley. Will he take her back? Or should he just move on to the next girl especially if the one he loves isn't willing to even trust him the most important details of her life?

This was a solid read from Brenda Jackson. The story has a nice flow, and kept me interested. There was great chemistry between Riley and Alpha. Their love scenes were super spicy and extremely passionate, some were border line erotic which was nice. I liked how this book was mostly about them. Yes we got snippets of the other Westmorelands, but this book primarily concentrated on Riley and Alpha which is a welcomed change. If you are a fan if this series I think you would enjoy this one.

I love everything about this book, though I wished it had been longer. The main characters were wonderful, the book was mostly about them, with few distraction. I liked their instant and intense attraction to each other. But I especially liked that the hero recognize his love first. I really hated it when the heroine falls in love early on in the book, and keeps waiting for the hero to do the same. I also liked that the heroine was beautiful and strong, and did not dwel on the fact that their relationship was not serious. She did not come accross as needy or clinging ( a turn off for me).

And last but not least there was a lot of the hero's point of view, love that too.

The Westmorelands is a lengthy series that illustrates the lives and lifestyles of the large Westmoreland Clan. Each book is complete in itself yet ties to the next book in the series. This is no "read one - read them all" series and in One Winter's Night, Riley Westmoreland throws down the gauntlet to show the uniqueness of The Westmorelands. This is book #24 and if you think it can't get better, Riley and Alpha demonstrates that it can get better and with their story, it did.

Ms. Jackson has hit another homerun on her schedule. Every woman wants that special someone who can make them forget its cold outside. In this story, that's exactly what happens to a girl who only has liked warm weather places. The object of her desire thought he could not be caught but my oh my was he fooled. Ladies, I am a believer of "what God has for you is for you" and this book was an example of how it can be tailored just for you. Thank you Ms. Jackson for making a winter night something to look forward to...

Another great book by Brenda Jackson. I love the Westmoreland family and the more your read about them, the more you CRAVE~!!.. Riley Westmoreland and Alpha Blake are two individuals who have immediate chemistry from their first meeting. The interactions between these two are what romance stories are made from and prove that love at first sight does exist even if the two parties don't know it yet. Brenda Jackson has done it again with a passionate, page burning story. PICK UP YOUR COPY TODAY 5++++ STARS!!

This time go 'round Riley Westmoreland is smitten with Alpha Blake, the event planner hired to plan the 40th anniversary for the family's company. From the first meeting there's instant attraction. I love reading about the Westmorelands and how the fall in love and this was no different. There were some obstacles to overcome, namely an ex lover of Riley's as well as Alpha's insecurities about her sister's past and Riley's possible reaction. This was a short sweet read. Still waiting on Bane's. Looks like Zane's up next. Can't wait!!

Riley is one of the Denver Westmorelands and he never mixes business
with pleasure until he meets Alpha. Alpha is dealing with some issues
from a previous relationship that she rather not deal with. She doesn't want a relationship.
Riley realizes that one night will never be enough and vows to win her heart for good and show her that true love conquers all.

Riley and Alpha's story was quite steamy. I simply loved the way they had such an immediate deep attraction for one another and once their affair began they both realized the attraction was much more than just sexual. Ms. Jackson's books are mostly fantasy, however they can help you appreciate that when a person finds the right fit it can be wonderfully explosive.

I love reading Brenda Jackson, so I was not disappointed. I always know a good book if I react out loud and this book had me laughing out loud, shaking my head and wanting to shake a few characters. Wonderful job again.

Loved this Westmoreland story and they just get better and better. Riley Westmoreland of the Denver Westmoreland's is not in favor of love after seeing the pain his brother Bane went through losing the love of his life. Alpha Blake was not looking for love after some past painful relationhips and a broken engagement. Riley and Alpha find out that when true love happens, love will prevail. Great story!
