This book shows a different writing style for this author. I have always enjoyed her books having a co-author and writing a different type of books is darning but it works I enjoyed it and will read the follow up novels

First, a little backstory. I fell in love with Kathy Reichs aboard an airplane from the UK to Guadlajara Mexico. I had been standing in the bookstore in Stanstead Airport, trying to decide which book to buy. A fellow shopper suggested Kathy Reichs as a 'good read.' Typical British understatement. There were two Reichs novels available (this was May 2010) and I bought them both. I was facinated and intrigued from the first paragraph. I have since purchased and read all her
Temprancee Brennan books. I order them from the store before they are published. I wasn't sure about books for young adults; kids don't seem to read these days. But I had said the same thing about the Harry Potter series, too, so what did I know?
THIS IS A GREAT BOOK! I loved it. Kathy Reichs hits exactly the right note for discussing teenaged angst, being a 'brain' in a school for debutantes, and not being a member of the 'in' group. And developing a strange virus that is contagious amongst themselves and their wolf-dog.
Buy it, read it yourself and give it to your favorite 14 year old. They will thank you.

I liked the adventure and fast pace of the book. I also enjoy the idea of a dog virus giving them wolf like powers upon command. The author does not need to add extraneous swear words to the novel. Anger and frustration can be expressed in other ways especially if this book is being sold to teens.

Seizure was a great development of the Virals series. I feel that Virals, while a good book, was more of a set-up book or prequel written in order to introduce the characters to us, and that Seizure was the true first book in the series. Overall, an awesome series and a great book.

After being captivated by Virals I had to get the next in the series of these unusual teens. You cant wait to see how they get themselves into and out of danger. This one also gives you more insight into the history of the region. Definitely a step away from Kathy Reichs usual formular. Read the first book Virals to give you the background to this book. A really good riviting read.

This series is written for young adults. But I found the series absolutely delightful for adults and I am 72 years old. The dialogue reminds me of how I acted when a young adult. The characters will keep you riveted. I guarantee you will not want to put down the book. But first make sure that you read the first of this series. Now guys don't get your dander misplaced just because the leader is the youngest and is a GIRL.
