The Emperor of Evening Stars (The Bargainer Book 2.5)

Oh my god! This book was fantastic. I always love reading a book from a different perspective and this was a perfect read. It didn't even take me a day to get through. The best part about Laura Thalassa's books is that they're really hard to put down. I love that the book covers so much of Des's life and I just love when it starts to coincide with Rapsodic!
Anyways, Laura Thalassa did an amazing job with this book and I can't wait for the next book!

Who is the Bargained? Read the life story of Desmond Flynn from the beginning. Love his story and how he became. Love how he and found Callie. Cannot wait for the next installment of this wonderful book series!!!

This was the best book in the installment by far! We got such rich backstory and character development. It was a pleasure to read from start to finish.

I am realizing why I had trouble with the others: Callie is just a boring protagonist.

Just absolutely love get the story from Desmond's perspective. All the Back ground info in to his past and thoughts just brings a whole new dynamic to the aeries. As always can't wait for the next book.

The book was good and I enjoyed the backstory but I'm a bit disappointed that certain events with Cali that we read in the first two books didn't line up correctly when retold. I would have given a higher rating if it wasn't for those incidents that were either revamped or left out. For example: In the first book when she killed her step-father she calls the Bargainer and he almost leaves before helping her. She tries to use her siren powers on him and he yells at her. There's also a conflict with when/how he presents his wings to her. Other than a few inconsistencies it was a good read.

Loved hearing things from Desmonds point of view. Enjoyed this book a lot but really looking forward to the next one, though I am not ready to be done with the characters. Really really love this series.

I really enjoy reading the bargainer series. I am a little disappointed in this book. Though the story is great it's just to much of a repeat of the other books. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in this series.

That being said, I really enjoyed this. I think it is probably because of how short it was. I hate when writers change POV for a book, it ruins the illusion for me. This was very short, very sweet (tooth achingly sweet) and very well done. Hats off to you Laura!

I loved literally everything. I see most complaints of how this book slowed the story down. And I appreciated it very much. It’s nice to see they actually have time between fighting this bad guy just to turn around and fight another. They actually live their lives.

Laura outdid herself with this personal view into Desmonds life. Taking a walk through his past into their future just made me love the couple even more. I am hooked by his darkness and can't wait until the ending ties everything together.

I've always wondered what went through Desmond's mind and his secrets. This book sated that craving to know all about Des. Love this character and want so much more! Can't wait for the next installment, hoping it truly isn't the last!

Very addicting series! I suggest you start with the first book in the series, Rhapsidioc. Callie and Des have come a long way since book one. This series gives you all the feels and is truly one of my most favorite reads. I can't wait to see what happens in the final installment I this series!

To think I almost didn't read this one. Generally when it's the pov of the hero or heroine after reading all the previous I choose not to read it because it is usually very repetitive. This is not the case with this novella. I loved it. It was from des's pov but not repetitive we get to see his beginning and when he meets his mate. His struggle to love from afar. And the epic cliffhanger. This was actually my favorite so far of the series.

This is my favorite series I’ve ever found! Romance, funny banter, steamy, great story, good world building and character development. And I really enjoy Laura’s writing style. Can’t get enough of this series!
