Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Book

We found this book a delight for anyone let alone a Harry Potter fan, The popups are truely amazing as we collect pop up books this is something we will be able to read for many years. I think it needs careful handling as some of the pop ups are rather delicate but apart from that a great gift or purchase for anyone

The book was in fine condition with only two little glitches- two really small tears around the "Maps" slits inside the front cover and the other was only a melted hole in the plastic bag cover which won't affect it's value. Lea Wagner

I am always intrigued by the clever paper engineering of pop up books and this one does not disappoint. The quality of the art work, as well as the intricate engineering, is excellent. Each scene unfolds dramatically and presents a complete 3D view - there are no blank bits or areas with weak illustration. Excellent value for money.

Folks, seriously, this is wonderful. I couldn't help jumping up and down every time I turned a page. I'm a massive Harry Potter nerd and this book, although I'm fonder of the book series rather than the movies, is simply wonderful. Pop-up scenes are GREAT, no other word to describe them, and the props and replicas are fantastic. Definitely my best purchase so far.

Absolutely the best pop-up book ever. Incredible detail from the movie with several small surprise pop-ups. Even after many uses, the pop-ups work very well; no binding or jamming. Will keep a child (and adult) occupied for hours.

This is a large book with quality illustrations and nice pop-up's. The illustration of Harry Potter, however, did not look like the Harry we've grown used to seeing in the movies. I think this book would be suitable for a young fan (4-8yrs), but might be disappointing for older children.

First off, the images are beautiful, detailed, and accurate to the movie series. I've enjoyed looking at the images and reading the information on each page.

That said, I did find some issue with the pop-up construction. These are large pop-ups and I assume the construction is complex, but I didn't expect to have continuous issues with pop-ups sticking half-open and having to finagle with them to get them to straighten up. Also I don't know if it's just a flawed book I have, but the dragon head is positioned so it looks like it is staring at the floor with her chin/jaw planted on her chest. It looks awkward and wrong, bothering me every time i look at that page.

I had purchased two because it was such a great deal at the time ($9 ea.) and am still intending to give the second as a gift. I know that even if the pop-ups are sticky my friend (a true HP fan) will still love it.
