I love Patricia Cornwell! She writes such smart novels-she's brilliant and Scarpetta is one of the best characters ever! Compared to many other lead characters, Kay is so real and well rounded and I can never wait to see what she is going to do next! I preorder all Patricia Cornwell because I know, without a doubt in my mind, that they are going to be great! I have yet to be disappointed!

Very good plot, it keeps your interest. The relationships are a bit overdone, but they have a long history. The technical aspects of Trace are interesting and accurate. Look forword to the next book. bmwc

I don't remember the previous books being so difficult to read but this one is. The tense is weird and all of the main characters are so bitter and angry it's difficult to get through. The mystery is sort of intriguing and I was curious enough to make it to the end but I would not recommend this book.

It was a fabulous story and kept me intregued all the way through it... Didn't like the ending though. It was too abrupt; nothing about what the justice was for Edgar Allen Pogue. Left me wondering.

Another great Scarpetta noval, rich with her old stomping grounds in Richmond ; her old morgue and the unsolved death
Of a 14 yr old girl who she has been called in to consult after being fired 5 yrs prior . After being disrespected by the very man who replaced her , Scarlette & Moreno set about to solve the girls murder and unknown lead to a case involving Benton & Lucy. Great Novak that you can't put down .

Kay is angry. Marino is angry. Lucy is furious. The whole books seethes with angry people. One suspects that Cornwell is angry, perhaps at her readers for asking for another Scarpetta novel. Well, she's taught us a lesson. If you've read and enjoyed all the previous Scarpetta books (as I have), don't bother with this one -- you'll be sorely disappointed.

This is the last Patricia Cornwell book I will buy. This book starts slow, does nothing to capture the attention of the reader and goes absolutely nowhere. Very disappointing to a big Kay Scarpetta fan!

All of Patricia Cornwell Books are for great reading. There isn’t one book I’ve come across that wasn’t great. I’m a Crime Scene Investigator and these books are great for individuals that maybe one day would get into Crime Scene Analysis. You can’t go wrong with a Patricia Cornwell Book. Thanks A Million!
