The book is really clear and easy to read, also covers all the basic topics and provides examples when necessary. If you want a well written intro to one of the classical machine learning algorithms, you will really enjoy this book

This is the first book I have read on this topic, and I found it very easy to understand. I have a background in more traditional data analysis such as multiple linear regression, control charts and cluster analysis. This book has given me a good start in extending my options for analyzing data.

I have been on the lookout for a similar easy-to-understand book on machine learning algorithms that would help me to understand the algorithm itself instead of R or Python codes. Of course the topic is complicated, but this book is the proof that a good Subject Matter Expert can walk the reader through the processes behind the code. Excellent work!

I read this book to quickly refresh on random forests for a data science course and found the examples to be simple and intuitive. Links and references are included throughout if you need more details.

This book permits to understand the Random Forests tecnique in around two days. It is concise but clear. It was exactly the kind of book I was looking for. The Engineering Cheat Sheet is a nice reminder about the most useful parameterers.

Actually the book is useless. It's small and doesn't have any in-depth explanations (how to learn a decision tree for example). There is no reason to buy this book, I think you can find information of equal quality anywhere on the web.

Being my first read on machine learning, I absolutely liked the concise and a very hands-on approach used by the author to keep the text engaging. Highly recommended if you are looking to learn about some machine learning algorithms and resources to get started.

Pickup any academic book on Machine Learning and you will find yourself buried deep in Jargon that makes most heads spin. Therefore, people just end up memorizing the execution in frustration. This book provides an easy understanding of Random Forest without sacrificing technicality.
