I absolutely adore Jenny Lawson and her work, and this book is no exception. It is so relaxing working my way through the pages, occasionally coloring bits here and there if I want to. Her words mean so much on each page. Definitely a buy you won't regret!

Jenny once again nails it. Her drawings are beautiful, and her words heal. She is an amazing human, and I feel so lucky to have found her. If you need a little help, order this book. You will not regret it.

I pre-ordered Jenny Lawson's coloring book "You Are Here" even though I don't color anymore and it was on the wrong side of affordable at the time, because it was Jenny Lawson and I loved "Let's Pretend This Never Happened" and "Furiously Happy". It arrived a couple of days ago, and I got around to opening it today, wanting to flip through the pages and see what's there. I started crying 3 pages in, because everything she was saying was exactly what I've needed to hear for the past year, and somehow hearing it from an utter stranger makes it more true than hearing it from someone who loves me. I'm making myself a little nuts at the moment because I put it down to do something and now I can't find it - I think the mind monkeys hid it because they're lying little bastards who want me to Feel This Way Forever... but I know it's here in the house and when I find it I'll use it along with my journal to get my head back in order.

If your brain weasels and mind monkeys have been messing with you the way mine have - or if you've ever been depressed/anxious/struggling/hopeless - get this book and some gel pens. It's worth it.

This is such a lovely piece of art--it couldn't be called a book exactly. It's made for coloring and doodling, and Jenny Lawson's reflections and observations are so insightful, funny, and real. I absolutely adore it. I'm sending copies to my dearest friends.

A great gift for myself and friends......definitely is nice to share with people that are recovering from surgery, medical problems, life crisis, etc. Ms Lawson's humor is hilarious and the recipient gets to read and color !!! Her other books are amazing too !!

Absolutely beautiful as well as inspiring, complicated, nostalgic and a safe place. I love this owner's manual for dangerous minds to easy anxiety with therapy, a old friend, a dose of humor and a lot of coloring!

I love this book! The humor, the thought provoking words, and the coloring doodles are an inspiration to me. So much so that I bought one for my daughter and she loves it also. Jenny Lawson tells it like it is. She is real and raw and open.

This is not just a picture/adult coloring book there is a lot more of Jenny’s thoughts and quotes that really make this book more than expected.

I am a huge book worm. I get a little thrill when I walk into a bookstore or library. I love to read it has always been an escape for me. To say I love books and get passionate about them is an understatement. However until You Are Here I had never pre-ordered a book or waited in line at a book store until midnight. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE books and get really excited about new releases from my favorite authors, but until two months ago I had NEVER pre-ordered a book because, really what’s the big deal, I can walk in a book store and buy it the same day, right?
I pre-ordered You Are Hear about two months ago, because I had been so impacted with Jenny’s previous books, and if you don’t know me I seem so normal and put together on the outside but always feel like I am falling apart on the inside and forever battling my inner demons.
The book came today and I am blown away! IT IS AWESOME! I have only spent 15 minutes flipping through it and I know I will be buying a few more for friends. IT IS AWESOME! I already got a warm and fuzzy from it (and cried a little) but only just begun. However, as a disclaimer if you have never questioned your own sanity or wondered if there is something wrong with you this probably isn’t for you. It’s for all the beautiful misfits that have so much to offer the world but need some encouragement that you are not alone and you are ok just the way you are. Did I tell you IT IS AWESOME!

I love Jenny Lawson and I love this book. It's beautiful. Every word, every sentiment, every drawing (she calls them doodles). This is a book that is a forever book - pick it up every now and again to check in. You can color when you want to. You can write in it when you want to. You can feel like you or feel like you are not alone.

My favorite page of writing is page 93: Not all pain is visible. But not all love is visible either, and that doesn't make it any less real. We believe the pain because we feel it, but we often forget how much we're loved because it doesn't always present itself in ways that make you physically gasp. It's real, though. And you're soaking in it.

My favorite page of doodle is page 85: It's a picture of tall city buildings all warped and pointing to the night sky. She writes: Sometimes I have to remind myself that even when the walls feel as if they are closing in on me I can always look up at the sky and see infinity stretching out before me.

It was actually difficult for me to choose a favorite doodle.

Jenny's voice is important to me, and I know she is important to many others. She is brave and loved.

I have been looking forward to this book since Jenny Lawson first announced it, and for my birthday, I decided to buy not one copy for myself, but two. One to color and scribble and write in and tear pages out of if I choose to, and one to keep intact and nice, possibly to use to make copies for friends or clients if I can get permission to do so from the author. When the books arrived, however, I was less than pleased to see that both copies had printing ink smeared and smudged on the covers. I was honestly pretty irritated about it. I mean, did it have to be both of them? I couldn't have one perfect copy to keep?

But then I started flipping through and reading it, and I calmed down and realized that, in a way, it was kind of a fitting metaphor for the point of the book. Here I have these books that are filled with wisdom and beauty and laugh-out-loud humor, despite some minor surface imperfections on the outside. It's almost like it was meant to be.

(That said, I wouldn't say no to a partial refund, the store. Because sending a birthday gift in less than perfect condition is just rude. Didn't your mother teach you any manners?) ;-)

This book was the best purchase I've made all year. I have been a friend and fan of Jenny for a long, long time, and as soon as I could I was more than happy to buy this coloring-book-that's-also-super-helpful-for-depression-because-there-are-inspirational-passages. The pages that you can color are amazingly detailed - I'm partial to the ones that have big drawings on them, like the whale or the bear, where my partner prefers the circular, symmetrical pages - we can both enjoy the book for various reasons, and I love it a lot.

Jenny is an inspirational, powerful, strong person, and I love her a lot. If you like to color, you should buy this. If you are lost, you should buy this. If you are depressed, you should buy this. It will help you.

I felt like she had been reading my mind and write this book for me (and except for the foul language, which I will tolerate in this book because I need this book)! I just opened the box this afternoon and I already want to build a fort and hide and read the book straight through.

Being a fan of Lawson's previous two books, I was elated that she branched out into combining doodles with her words! Once this was in my hands today I excitedly flipped through the images and found myself absorbing the words that complimented the art. Immediately I went out and bought more copies to give to friends. Self care is so important and can be hard to motivate yourself to do it when you're struggling with mental health issues - this allows for simple self care, great laughs, AND a message that you're not alone. This book surprised me as my favorite of Lawson's three works! If anyone you love has anxiety, depression, etc, then they NEED this one.

One minute you're shedding a tear over the dandelion metaphor, the next you're laughing your head off at the use of the term "face-meat." Not your usual sappy coloring book or book of Facebook mom platitudes. Very, very funny, in a slightly outrageous way. I gave my copy to a coworker for her birthday, and immediately ordered four more (one for me, three for other friends.) Everyone loves it. Note also that in Jenny's blog she suggests that if you are not into the whole coloring craze, just get a metallic gold Sharpie and jazz up the designs as you see fit. The pages are perforated to allow you to tear out anything you are particularly proud of (or if you need to torch that page), but I think I'll keep mine intact. The Bloggess is the funniest.

It's not often that a colouring book will make you cry.

Good tears though, it's good to realize there's someone out there who feels this stuff too, who gets it, and who can make form of it.Jenny's work is powerful, she knows what it's like to hurt, and to heal, and to do that over & over.

Get this book.

And get some pencils, because you'll be spending some time in these pages.

Best coloring book, motivational book ever!! Jenny Lawson is a real person with real issues like the rest of us and I love that she shares with all of us. I know for me, she has helped me so much with my depression and anxiety! Knowing that there are others out there gong through the same thing helps a lot. I am going to use this book as my coloring book and am buying another one to frame some of the tear out pages. The paper is a heavy high quality and absolutely delightful!!

As with anything written (or in this case, drawn!) by Jenny Lawson, you're going to fall in love with it as soon as you open the front cover. The drawings are neat and clean, and while some may be more detailed than I would be comfortable with coloring, I know there are people out there who enjoy coloring such tiny details. Not only are the pictures amazing, but the entire book reads like a refreshing, gentle reminder of how awesome you are and how much you have accomplished. I love the feeling I get when I read Jenny's books. I haven't started coloring mine yet, but I know that when I get up the courage to do so, it'll be an experience.

If you enjoy this, please buy her other books because she is a wonderful and amazing person who has helped me recognize so many things about myself and helped me know that I am not alone.

OMG!!! This woman is the BEST!!! Once I start one of her books, I have a real problem putting it down. I identify SOOOOO much with her and I love that she helps us all feel it's ok to be our own kind of cray cray!! Yep, I have been in a mental institution, I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, and brain fog, but that's ok. It gives me my own crazy stories to tell and helps me meet people who are crazy like me or crazy NOT like me. We crazy folks gotta not be ashamed of who and what we are and hang out more together. Let's face it, there are more crazies out there that people would like to admit. Jenny Lawson has helped me no only love who I am for what I am but she's helped me truly embrace myself and others like me. I haven't found a book of hers I wouldn't recommend!

I arrived home from work to find my copy waiting for me! My teen son swooped in on it the second I finished reading through it.

For me, life has been insanely frustrating lately.

Anxiety, stress, and life happen. It gets better, Jenny Lawson is all of us trying to remind ourselves that we can do life. This book is a wonderful gift from Jenny, to us.

Thank you, Jenny!

I opened the mail and expected a coloring book. I didn't expect my heart to stay in my throat the whole time I was reading it. Or to get so emotional. Or to feel so very heard and affirmed and uplifted. This is amazing. Everyone with anxiety needs this book. Everyone who suffers from depression needs this book. Everyone needs this book.

Now this book is TRUE art therapy. Thank you. I love this even more. I feel the desire to carry it around with me, and an extra copy for those people I happen upon that need it too. I will hold onto this one, I needed it a few months ago, but couldn't find it. Knowing that I have been there, and that it's possible to end up back in the dark, I will keep this on the surface (of whatever is stacked next to my bed), to remind me that it's ok, I will be ok and that this is real, but full of lies and to remember to find the truth. Thank you.

I have all of Jenny Lawson's books and this one does not disappoint. From the opening pages she had me laughing and in tears. Jenny bares so much of herself that we feel like she is the friend we've had our whole life. If you or someone you love suffers from depression or anxiety issues I strongly suggest you get this book. It will help you understand your loved one or understand yourself a little more. And on the plus side you can color this book too!

I've just recently discovered author Jenny Lawson's work in her book Furiously Happy. I can relate to her in so many ways and she has me laughing til I cry. Her new book is a beautiful collection of drawings and little snippets of wisdom. I have recommended her to many close friends and can see that this book would be a perfect gift for that special someone who might need some doodles to color, some brave words to connect to, and just to enjoy, smile, laugh, and heal. Keep sharing your wonderful self with us, Jenny. We are grateful that you "get us", as we know what a struggle life can be.

I. LOVE. THIS. BOOK!

Yes, I was expecting cute little doodles to color; I didn't think about what the pages might say. I have one of Ms. Lawson's books, but I haven't read it yet. So I wasn't sure what to expect besides the coloring.

I feel like I found someone who understands me! Truly. I suffer from depression and anxiety, and Ms. Lawson certainly taps in to what dealing with it is like. "An Owner's Manual for Dangerous Minds"? Absolutely! Besides some really deep thoughts that really make you think, it's the humor that I most appreciate. Funny, smartass, sarcastic....Miss Lawson, you have a new fan. Thanks for sharing with us!

This book, oh seriously what can I say about this book?
It has helped me find some peace on nights when I feel really lost.
It has helped me get through hard times without screaming.
It has even been just a whole lot of fun when I want to remember that I can play like a child and still be a responsible adult.
Perforations to remove pages if wanted have changed my life forever, I now require this or something like it in any further journals I purchase.
I hope that everyone takes a moment to find a book of this ilk to soothe his or her soul and find a safe place in his or her own world.

Jenny knows. She takes all your deep, dark secrets and brings them to the light. You're not afraid when you're with Jenny. This book? The quality is amazing. The drawings are amazing. The words will cut through the crap you think you're hiding well. She knows. She knows how to make life hurt a little less each and every time she publishes a book.

Witty as always and got me started coloring. I've never found another coloring book I like as much. The one criticism I have is that some images are printed back-to-back. I use ink for coloring and it bleeds through ruining the picture on the other side. I'd recommend copying these images onto heavy paper. Pages are perforated so easily removed. Book also lays flatter than those without perforated pages. I'm eagerly awaiting her next book - coloring or otherwise.

So much more than a gorgeous adult coloring book! If you've never heard of Jenny Lawson, this is a fantastic intro. She is hilarious, creative, talented and broken like the rest of us. This book is not only great for stress-filled days but fabulous for gorgeous, intricate designs to tear (along perforated pages no less) and frame for some daily inspiration with a dash of irreverence. I'm in love with this book. Happy Coloring!

I pre-ordered this the day Jenny announced it was going to exist. It arrived today and has exceeded my expectations. This book is wonderful, the paper quality is terrific. The writing is typical Jenny, funny, raw, and inspiring. The art is fabulous and the quotes added i to the drawings charmed my socks off. I adored this so much that I ordered it for my mom within ten pages of looking through it. I highly recommend this, especially to anyone going through struggles who needs to smile.

I love Jenny Lawson. I feel like she is one of my best friends and she doesn't really know it. If you haven't read her blog or her two books I would highly recommend. I actually got teary eyed when I opened this coloring book because she doesn't sugar coat mental health issues. She's the real deal and goes through it herself. Thank you Jenny Lawson for helping me everytime I was in a rut, and thank you for making this coloring book I can turn to when I don't feel like I'm 100% myself.

It is wonderful and gives anyone not familiar with The Bloggess a good idea what to expect when you go to her website, without all the drawings, of course. But sometimes she does post her latest drawing, and that is how this book came about. She thought her doodles were just for her, but so many people said they found meaning in them that Jenny made up this book. It even has a couple conversations with Victor, which I love. They sound like they were made for each other.

I never review things. I'd pre-ordered this book the moment Jenny told the Tribe about it and counted down the long months waiting for it to arrive. When it showed up a day early it was most assuredly the best thing all day, possibly all week, and I know it will continue to give solace, advice, inspiration and words of wisdom for a very long time to come. After reading through it I immediately ordered 3 more. I know people who NEED this in their lives and I intend to share. I imagine I will acquire more to give when those moments of need in others present themselves. Long Live Jenny Lawson!

After loving Jenny Lawson's first two books I was so disappointed to get this. It's more of a fill in the blanks workbook. Hey, everyday is work, I was looking for her qwerky sense of humor and escape reading that for the most part is nonfiction. I think this is an example of "rush to publish" on the heels of two great books. I gave it two stars because I think she is awesome and it was probably Victor's fault for pushing her to produce. Maybe the humorless editor was involved. I have faith that Jenny has another great read in her. So back off people, let her create
In the mean time I will continue buying her books to give to all my friends. Sometimes I call my brother and just reread a page that we had previously laughed until we almost wee-wee our pants. She's that good.

This is so much more than a coloring book. Jenny knows exactly what that tiny voice in the back of your brain is saying. How you're not good enough or how others are so much better. She really gives you great tools to fight back and be your own champion. There are pages of advice, ramblings, and beautiful drawings to color.

The book is beautiful! It is satisfyingly dense and stays mostly open on its own. The pages are perforated for better coloring and distribution.
Its a perfect book. I already gave away my first copy and I'm buying more!

This book is really fun to draw in. I definitely feel less anxious when I am focusing on what to do. Additionally, Lawson is hilarious and there are some great (and motivational) one-liners throughout the book. My biggest plus is that the pages are perforated, unlike other adult coloring books which makes it easy to show off your work or color without worrying about the book binding getting in the way.

I love Jenny Lawson's other books, so I had to check this one out, and it is awesome! It's so much better than I even expected. The drawings are great, but the writing is also wonderful. Jenny Lawson is an amazing writer and now I know she is an amazing artist as well. Being part of #TheBloggessTribe is very important to me and when I heard Jenny was releasing another book, I pre-ordered it in August of 2016. I have been eagerly awaiting its release in March of 2017.

Today I received the book in the mail. I didn't know what to expect from it, but when I opened it and started reading and admiring the beautiful artwork I was amazed. You can color in the art work folks! I have yet to color in anything because I am too busy admiring it first. But as expected Jenny Lawson is very honest with her wording, she is supportive to all of her fans who she understands and knows, a lot of us have been through similar situations or have depression ourselves.

This is a book I would buy my friends and family. It says a lot to a person, it speaks to me personally and I cannot wait to see what other books Jenny Lawson produces. (If you haven't bought or read her other two books, Furiously Happy and Let's pretend this never happened, I suggest you run out and buy those now, on audio or book form, they are great!)

A note to the author: Thank you for sharing your life with us (the tribe) and many more. And thank you for the beautiful artwork. You are inspiring!

Jenny never fails to deliver something heartwarming and wonderful. This was my first adult coloring book and it's so much fun I ordered one for a friend today, too. It's more than a coloring book, though, it's a "I'm not alone" book - this makes it even more wonderful.

At this point, I'll buy anything with "Jenny Lawson" on the front.

My grandma suggested this book to my mom for me. And I was not even in the mood to hear bout it. I was suffering from a bad toothache due to an up and coming root canal. I bought it and then forgot bout it. It came and I was recovering from root canal surgery. I looked through it later and loved it. My momma loves it too. The designs are super cute. And love the sangs.

I can say with 100% certainty this is my favorite book ever. Jenny Lawson is not only hilarious but she is a constant beacon of hope for those of us who need a little light sometimes. She reminds people that depression lies, that we're worth this life, and that coloring is necessary for adults too. I am so thankful for Jennifer Lawson.

I love the book! I read it and now I am only coloring two pictures because I am sending it to a friend of mine that I know will love this book and figured she'd like some personalization from me also. I will be actually buying this book AGAIN for myself to color everything! I added a couple pictures I took earlier.

I could not wait to get this book, I had no idea what to expect, but it exceeded all expectations. This book was just what I needed, and will need going forward. These pages are meant to be read over and over again, and they will be. I love how Jenny explains mental illness, and when she goes on one of her tangents you have to reread to ensure you understand what she meant. And even then you're not really sure, but it now has a meaning to you, and that's the best part about it.
She describes pain in a way everyone can understand by saying, "Pain is real whether from depression or anxiety or arthritis or one of the many invisible illnesses that don't really show themselves, but still exist and have to be treated, and -more importantly- have to be believed in order to be treated. If you struggle with mental illness you need to know that your fight is real and your survival is something to be proud of." I never thought of my survival as something to really embrace and be proud of, but Jenny has a way of helping you through your depression or anxiety by sharing her journey with us, and for that I am truly grateful.
You don't only get an amazing coloring book here you get a new outlook on your this crazy ride we are all on. You will laugh, cry, and color all in one book.

My friend recommended Jenny Lawson and I saw some of the coloring pages from her copy, but I'm so glad I got mine. It's absolutely awesome. I relate to her so much. This is going to provide hours of benefit.

LOVE IT! As others have said, it's so much more than a coloring book. The pages are high quality - nothing like the typical weight and color of a regular coloring book. I seriously could not love this book more and have been recommending it to all my coloring friends. Thanks Bloggess for your bad-assery!

SO WONDERFUL! More than I expected. I think it might be my favorite book from Jenny Lawson and i loved the other two also. It is different than her other books, but she still adds humor and puts feelings into words and pictures as if she is reading my mind. LOVED it! Highly recommend. (Also LOVE her blog.)

Maybe 7?! Read out loud funny! Jenny, you cheered someone up today. Six hours away from a speech that I am still planning and riddled with, "I could do this. Maybe that. It will be awful. But it will be me." I am going to do the same for others. Thank you.

I love Jenny Lawson's books AND I love coloring. Buying this book was a no-brainer! The text inside is pure Jenny Lawson goodness: non-cheesy, insightful, and hilarious enough to elicit snorts of laughter in public. The images to color have some sections with intricate details as well as larger, easy to color portions. The paper is thick enough to resist bleeding and is a good quality paper. I love this book so much that I'm planning to purchase several more copies to give as gifts!

I love Jenny Lawson's other books and this one is just as amazing... coloring book, inspiration, real talk.... it is the perfect mix of these. I wish there were more books like this and I hope she does another one soon. :)

When I found out one of my favorite authors was releasing a book that was part adultncoloring book I was over the moon! I waited months for this to be released. When I finally got it I was disappointed in the coloring pages. Don't get me wrong, Jenny's doodles are awesome but they do not work well for coloring. They are so extremely intriquite that not only does one page take quite awhile to finish but They are so detailed that I found it hard to find coloring utensils that had a tip small enough to color with. I also found myself getting bored coloring in it. Pretty much each page has the same pattern of lines and swirls so it gets boring coloring in the same patterns on each and every page.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in this book. I had expected the book to be similar to Jenny's prior two publications with long entries and stories that lead to me laughing until I cried. This book is more along the lines of an adult coloring book, with motivational reminders. It made me giggle slightly from time to time so I couldn't give it a two. If I had not read her other books and was expecting something similar, I probably would have given the book a 4.

I love, love, love this book. I love everything by Jenny Lawson. This is different from her other work, though. It's a coloring book and encouragement book with plenty of humor mixed in. It's a really good combination. I very highly recommend this book to people who suffer from depression, self doubt, or mental illness.
My only criticism is that the paper could be better. My markers bleed through a lot of the time. which is disappointing.

I just love paging through this book, looking for inspiration! It's playful and relaxing and comforting. One can color without worrying about achieving perfection, doodle in the blank areas, and meditate while following the circles within circles.
