I really enjoyed this book. It's been a while since I found a book that I just can't wait to sit down and read. I find myself reading it in all the little books and crannies of my day. I was in awe at how quickly Besmir realized his great power, but was still in fear of it during the sea battle and in the woods with the stag.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book

What to say??? Well, take a look at the 1 star reviews, then imagine them all consolidated here. Grammar= -5, Punciation= -4, Word Use= -5, Missing Words= -4 (for a totally unedited book), Finally the story, formulaic in the extreme, easily predictable, shallow characters, bland, uninspired ending, just sad really. Not worth anymore of my time, I forced myself to read the whole book, hoping it would get better. It just did NOT happen.
Review Done, I'm Done With This Author, Moving On.
Just My Opinion, YMMV

Ever get put in a situation where there are like ten new names and faces thrown right at you? Except most times you at least get something in the ways of an introduction. Yeah, well that's what you get in this book, minus the introductions. Enter Chapter 1. The book felt disjointed.

The author shows creativity and wits. But story is poorly delivered. There is no world-building, no character development. I think the author tries to infuse some level of romance, but it was god-awful and cringe-worthy and has the emotional impact of reading a calculus textbook.

I enjoyed your book alot I loved how when I started reading I just lost myself in the story. I was disappointed at the end when I couldn't just read some more. I'm looking forward to some more great work from you

This is honestly a good story, it all just seemed so... easy. Any fights are easily won by the good guys. They seem unrealistic. Especially when powerful beings, that should take more than some cuts with a sword to take down, are easily dispatched by women who have barely had any training with the swords they carry. Throughout the book the conflicts last all of .3 seconds. The main character can do magic, but barely does any other than to use animals and light a few things, and bad guys, on fire. It kind of feels like the author rushed it a bit. This story could have been a lot better if there had been more to it, the fights more realistic, etc.

That being said, I am going to continue on with the series. I liked the characters, and some events made me smile and chuckle a bit. I like that in a story. Hopefully the next one will be less easy for the characters and more of an in-depth story.

The entire book was rushed; from the plot to the relationships. There is potential for a really good series here and I hope the future books learn from the mistakes of this one and learn to pace better. Because of how rushed the book was there wasn’t much in the way of character development or world building. Overall a big disappointment in my eyes.

Another fabulous book. I have read the prequel and loved it and this continues the journey of Besmir as he moves from Huntsman to King. Along the way he learns how to use his powers, sometimes to his detriment, he falls in love and makes many, many friends. Looking forward to the next episode in his life.
