Sierra moves to Colorado to be close to her brother and his wife. She finds work and friendship in their small town. She develops self confidence and faces old problems head on. Written in Robyn Carr's familiar style, establishing an array of friends and extended family that could appear in a future book in a series about Sullivan's Crossing.

Anything "Sullivan's Crossing" captures my attention! You will absolutely lose sleep wanting to read " just 1 more chapter" before you put your Kindle down!!!
Please send me last two " Chesapeake Shores" books so that I may complete the series, "Along Came Trouble" I have already paid for. Can't remember name of last one which I have not paid for. Then I would like to purchase "The Charleston Trilogy" as a series. Bottom line: "Keep them coming!"
Thanks,
Pat

I totally enjoyed catching up with the characters after reading the 1st Sullivan's Crossing book. It was fairly predictable but a few twists kept it interesting. I also enjoyed the AA parts of the story. Felt like I learned more about what goes on in AA why it is successful for so many.

I had not read any books by Robin Carr. But Any Day Now is the May book for Brenda Novak' s Online Book Club. I really enjoyed reading both Sullivan's Crossing books. I am looking forward to the next one I. This series and reading other books she has written. Highly recommended this series.

I love Robyn Carr's writings! Even tho they seem to run together sometimes, the stories are so genuine. The characters at Sullivan's crossing are down home caring people. Sully runs a camping site, enjoy the evening, sitting on the porch of the store, listening to the night sounds, the campers fires going, I felt as if I were right there. We have seen Maggie, Sullys daughter, find the love of her life, and Sierra found happiness, what next? will there be a continuation of this series? I hope so!

It must just be me. I see all the four and five star ratings and wonder what I'm missing!! The story dragged and I felt like I was getting snapshots of what it could be. This story, in my opinion, could have been tightened up. It was too long, characters didn't seem to flow together.

Any Day Now by Robyn Carr is a captivating novel of new beginnings, healing and love. This second installment in the Sullivan’s Crossing series can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the first book in the series as well.
Sierra Jones has finally gotten her life back on track and moving closer to her older brother Cal and his new wife Maggie provides her the opportunity to leave her troubled past behind. She quickly finds a new job but when she needs a less stressful place to live, she takes Sully (Maggie’s father) up on his offer to live in one of the cabins at his campground. In exchange for her living accommodations, she is more than happy to fill in wherever Sully needs an extra hand. Easily settling into the slower pace of life and forming new friendships, Sierra is not looking for love but will meeting firefighter Conrad “Connie” Boyle change her mind?
Sierra has worked hard to leave behind her poor choices and concentrate on turning her life around. While at first, she was just trying to escape from a truly horrifying experience, she instead discovered she had more problems than she imagined. Through hard work and determination, she manged to overcome several of her demons but she continues to work on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Needing a fresh start and wanting to reconnect with Cal, Sierra is looking forward to her new life in Sullivan’s Crossing. Despite her past troubles, she is well-adjusted and upbeat with a refreshingly positive attitude. Living one day at a time, Sierra is not looking too far in the future when she meets Connie.
Having his heart broken in the past, Connie is not looking for a serious relationship when he is introduced to Sierra. He is rather wary when their paths continue to cross but he is also quite drawn to her as well. Once their friendship begins to deepen, Connie is surprisingly open to exploring his unexpected feelings for her. He is content to let Sierra control the direction of their surprising romance, but he does become a little impatient over her reluctance to fully confide in him once she is ready to fully face her past.
A secondary story arc featuring Tom Canaday and Sierra’s co-worker Lola will delight readers who are fond of older characters unexpectedly finding love. Although it has taken a while, Tom is finally moving on from his divorce and he is suddenly viewing Lola in a whole new light. However, Lola’s life is plenty busy and lacking self-confidence when it comes to dating, she is not exactly looking for a relationship. Once they realize how much they have in common, an easy friendship springs up between them, but Tom never gives up hope Lola will eventually be open to taking their relationship to the next level.
Any Day Now is a heartwarming novel with a wonderful cast of charming characters and an engaging storyline. Sierra and Connie are an appealing couple and they are refreshingly well-adjusted despite the issues they have dealt with in the past. Their friendship provides a firm foundation for their slow growing romance and their relationship is delightfully free from unnecessary angst or drama. The issues from Sierra’s past are serious and provide the storyline with plenty of depth. Robyn Carr deftly handles this difficult subject matter in a sensitive and realistic manner. Old and new fans will absolutely love this latest addition to the Sullivan’s Crossing series.

Life can be a struggle, especially for Sierra Jones who has had to struggle from the time she was a little girl, living with a father with a mental illness, and seeing her brother, her protector, the one who cared for her, her best friend, leave home when she was only ten years old. Things go from bad to worse as she deals with alcoholism and a man who stalks her and abuses her in the worse way imaginable.
But after going into rehab, joining AA and staying sober for 9 months, she joins her brother and his pregnant wife in Colorado. In Sullivan's Crossing she finds the family she always wanted, including a substitute father in Sully and a hot fireman boyfriend, Connie. She even rescues a puppy from its abusive owner.
Robyn Carr creates multi-dimensional characters who warm your heart and make you feel like you are part of the story. Sierra was a strong-willed woman learning to be independent. Conrad (called Connie) was a sweet and sensitive and strong man that I couldn't help falling in love with (Yes, another book boyfriend). And Sully was a straight forward lovable old coot! Even the supporting characters were well developed. Tom and Lola (now THAT was a sweet romance), Cal and Maggie, and many more.
The story starts off slow. Very slow. I have to admit that I put the book down a few times because not much seemed to be happening except for a lot of dialogue being repeated over and over. But midway through the book the romance between Sierra and Connie heated up and there were lots of tingles leading up to the heavy stuff. And oh how I love tingles!
The real action didn't occur until the last 25 to 30 per cent of the book when everything fell together.
Generally, I prefer a book that hooks me and reels me in within the first few pages. This book did not do that but I'm glad I stuck with it because it definitely got better as it progressed.
*Disclosure: I received a complimentary advance copy from NetGalley and the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, comments and opinions are my own.

This is the second in the Sullivan's crossing series. You do not have to read the first book to read this. In the first few chapters its explained that the heroine in this book is the sister to the hero in the first Sullivan's book. Sienna has come to Sullivan's crossing at her brothers insistence. Sienna has just come from a rehab clinic in which she is dealing with being an Alcoholic. The novel is similar to the previous title in the sense it not only covers the main characters but it has sub characters stories. Sienna makes an effort to be on her own and tells her brother Cal she will not be staying with him and Maggie. She begins staying at a Hostel but eventually takes a cabin in Sully's home(Maggie the heroine from the previous book father). Sully runs a shop in which hikers and individuals with RV passes through the quaint town. I actually found myself loving this title more. In the first book to me it took awhile before any excitement or action took off. In this title right away we find out not only Sienna is an alcoholic but she has been holding a secret for so long that this was one of the reasons that pushed her to rehab. Two months into her new home she strikes up a friendship with the firefighter Conrad or Connie as he is called. She at first ward him off about not being interested in a relationship but one night after out walking the dogs she sprained her ankle and was rescued by Connie and so started the romance/relationship. We catch up with Maggie and Cal who are about to expect their first baby and we get to see their progression as married couple. We also meet up again with Tom and his family. As stated there is a sub-story Tom and Lola starting a friendship that seem like it would be more. As previously mention something in Sienna past is keeping her from going all in with Connie and its only matter of time it catches up with her and she has to deal with the consequences. Throughly enjoyed this novel would have love to know the truth behind Neely maybe this might be explain in another book of Sullivan's crossing. Was giving an ARC by netgalley.

Ever since the Virgin River series ended, I have been trying to find another series from this author that I could fall in love with just as much. I thought that this series would be it but sadly it was not. The location is great. It is what drew me to this book. Any mention of Colorado and I have to check the book out. I actually could see this series being one that I might like but the issue was that I had no interest in any of the characters or their stories. In turn, this caused the story to be slow reading. I kept trying to get into this book and thought that the beginning was just a slow start and it would get better but after getting a third of the way into the book, I struggled to find any interest in picking this book back up. Yet, I still hold hope that one day I will find that magic again with another series form this author.

I am a fan of author Robyn Carr and have been one for years. I've read all of her books and have never been disappointed.
I re-read the first book in this series WHAT WE FIND right before I
read this one and enjoyed it just as much the second time around.
ANY DAY NOW is the second book in the Sullivan's Crossing series. It takes us back to Sully's campground in the Colorado Rockies (one of my favorite places to be in real life - the Rockies that is).
Sierra Jones shows up in the area because her big brother Cal and his now pregnant wife live there. She has been through some very tough times over the last few months and wants to be near her brother and to feel safe.
I love that author Carr can take damaged characters and show them that life is worth fighting for because all, or at least most, of us are damaged in some way. She writes about courage, doing the right thing, and most of all hope.
I am a huge fan of Carr's Virgin River series but this one is starting out to be a favorite of mine too.
I received this book from MIRA Books through Net Galley in exchange for my unbiased review.

Carr shares Sierra Jones’ story and introduces us to more locals, in particular, a hot Firefighter/EMT named Conrad, but folks call him “Connie.” Sierra is Cal’s younger sister. She’s trying to rebuild her life and has come to Colorado. I quickly connected with Sierra and admired her strength. We learn she is on the road to recovery both from addiction and a troubled past that has left her scarred. Not wanting to crowd the newlyweds, she checks into a hostel but soon finds herself in one of the cabins at Sully’s.
ANY DAY NOW felt like coming home and visiting old friends. The heart of the story, however, was Sierra and it had me flipping the pages hoping for an HEA. As Sierra settles in she soon finds herself building ties within the community and her friendship blossoms with Sully. I adore Sully and the way he gets involved. Sierra finds work and for the first time cares for something. While Sierra isn’t ready to handle a relationship and doesn’t trust her own feelings, Conrad soon shows her there are good people out there. I loved getting Conrad’s back story. It was nice to have an honest to goodness good guy for a hero. Their developing relationship felt genuine and provided moments of humor and swoons.
Side threads included a developing romance between two single parents, a strange woman who lies, and updates on characters we have previously met. I loved seeing Maggie and Cal. We catch up with them as they work on renovating their barn.
The suspense thread offered some nail biting moments and a family reunion. It allowed Sierra to grow, become confident and faces down her fears. Carr did an excellent job with character development, bringing to light addiction and showing how woman become trapped. She seamlessly shed light on these darker subjects while delivering a feel-good romance.

I wanted to like this novel. I do enjoy a series of novels set in the same small-town setting with each novel focusing on one or two members of the town. And while there were things I did enjoy about Any Day Now there weren't enough to make me want to read the first novel in this series.
What did I enjoy? I enjoyed the idea of a campground in the middle of Colorado that is owned by on old man. A campground that soothes a troubled soul and helps people to find their way in life. I enjoyed the small-town feel where most everybody is there to support one another, where people give strangers a sense of familial belonging.
Sierra is one of those people. She came to Colorado to be near her older brother. Within a few days, she has a new job and her own place. With this new start, Sierra is hoping to be able to forget her past. Unfortunately, her past, like all of ours, has a way of catching up with her. It threatens her new peace, her new life, her new existence. She's scared to deal with it but Sierra knows that the only way to finally be rid of her past is to face it head-on.
Now, what I didn't like ... I didn't like how Sierra was written. I had other issues with the writing but Sierra is the main one. In the novel, the reader finds out Sierra is 30. The way she's written, though, makes her sounding and acting more like she's 20. Who she's supposed to be and who she actually is, in my head, don't jive. The two just don't mesh. I've been through A LOT of what Sierra has been through and, I can tell you, by the time I hit 30 I was more sure of who I was and who I wanted to be. Yes, I had some reservations and I was scared of certain things in a relationship but I found a way to deal with them and get (mostly) over them. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, by 30, a woman has reached her maturity and Sierra was written a little immaturely.
I feel like I'm talking in circles about Sierra so I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey about her. Overall, the novel is a quick read but not one that I'm interested to read again. It also doesn't interest me to read any more novels in this series. I'd say this is a 2.5 stars out of 5 for me, but don't let that stop you from giving it a whirl if this is your type of genre.

Sienna has come to Sullivan's Crossing after alcohol rehab. Her brother lives there and she wants to be near family while she gets her life back on the right track after years of bad choices. As part of AA she is trying to make amends to people she hurt in the past. She also has a secret that pushed her to go to rehab and finally admit she had a problem with alcohol.
This is the second book in the Sullivan's Crossing series but could be read on its own. This is primarily Sienna's story but characters from the first book are a big part of this story. There are several sub plots about other characters. I loved reading this book and hated to see it end. There is a character in the book that I am hoping to see in another future novel. We need to know her story. I hope the author takes us back to Sullivan's Crossing in a future book. I would give this book 4 1/2 stars. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

What a great experience reading Any Day Now was! I enjoyed it immensely while it held my interest and it captivated my mind. I got to know the characters in-depth, in a special way that still mesmerizes me.
Sierra Jones was a complex character, her life had been nothing but easy, yet she managed to hold a positive attitude. Through recovery and treatment, she had found herself, her strong soul and mind. She finally had a balance and peace in her thoughts, she had found her place, her people, her destiny. And I felt like I was right there with her, while she was learning, living, loving, and growing to be the best version of herself. I felt challenged and encouraged by her courage, spirit, and bravery she showed through the journey. There are some triggers in the story about rape and violence towards women, and while raw and real experiences to Sierra, the incidents are dealt with tender hands without unnecessary details.
I admired the connection she made with such different kinds of people in town, and how she learned that her instincts were not that off after all when it came to people around her. Some of the town folks are introduced better than others, there is even a secondary romance budding on the side that takes fragile roots.
Conrad Boyle was the perfect mate for Sierra. With his open mind, patience, affection, and attention he slowly but surely won her trust, her confidence, and friendship. By always being there for her, always willing to support her, listen to her, and wait for her when needed, he proved to Sierra that there was a new chance with life, the kind of chance she never dreamed of having again.
Despite the slow tempo, or maybe because of it, Any Day Now was a true journey of finding yourself, learning to trust yourself again, starting new, and what all it entails. After everything Sierra had gone through with her life, making friends wasn't easy, not to mention something more than that. Yet she found her way, her own way, to make it happen, to built a new foundation, to be able to start from the scratch new again, with the wisdom of the past guiding to a better life, for the smoother, quieter waters. And while going through this journey to find herself, she doesn't only challenge the characters in the story grow, mature, and see their life in a new light, the story challenged me as a reader to rise to the occasion and widen my horizons. I loved watching her thrive and flourish, through the storms and temptations, and danger she faced.
Any Day Now is an adventure of the mind and I recommend you to take it!

Finally, the second installment in Robyn Carr’s Sullivan’s Crossing series! This novel does have a romance plot but it was Sierra’s journey of sobriety and need to finally lay down roots, build relationships and a home, that rang true for me and struck an emotional chord. Robyn Carr builds great family relationships and Sierra’s relationship with her brother Cal strengthened and grew into a relationship that all readers would want to have with their siblings.
Connie, Sierra’s love interest, had a previous relationship that ended poorly but didn’t spoil him for love. He knew almost immediately that there was something special about Sierra, and truly, Sierra doled out her issues to him a little at a time, which enabled him to see her strengths instead of those problems overshadowing her uniqueness. He was a rock, telling her that nothing she told him would scare him away. Who wouldn’t love that?
The added plot of a possible stalker gave this novel a sense of urgency that sped up the slow pace of the relationship stories. I enjoyed the psychological thriller, but more so because it helped bring Sierra together with her brother and gave him the chance to stand by her and be that older brother that she needed to have in her youth.
This series is becoming one of my favorites of Robyn Carr’s. Sullivan’s Crossing sounds like it’s an ideal place to “come to Jesus” with the difficulties of life and find love, but even more importantly to find yourself. I may need to take a trip!

This series is becoming one of my favorites of Robyn Carr’s. Sullivan’s Crossing sounds like it’s an ideal place to “come to Jesus” with the difficulties of life and find love, but even more importantly to find yourself. I may need to take a trip!

Sierra Jones has had a pretty troubled life and is now ready to pursue a more productive path. She decides to visit her brother, Cal, in Sullivan's Crossing and what began as a short stopover turns out to be an indefinite stay.
This was a very compelling story as we followed Sierra's journey to sustained sobriety. I learned so much about the realities experienced by those recovering from addictions, things we take for granted but are serious triggers for the addict. She was a pretty woman with a not so attractive history and her honesty about it all was admirable. I liked her caution about her developing relationship with firefighter and paramedic Conrad (Connie) Boyle, despite his wonderful personality and full court press to hurry things along.
The secondary storyline involving a more mature couple was also interesting, addressing the issues faced by single parents trying to provide for their families and have time for meaningful relationships. It was beautifully written.
The strong sense of community is an important element in this series and it resonated loudly in this story. There's also a suspense aspect I really enjoyed, adding even more tension and conflict to an already complex set of issues. I really enjoyed this book, especially the nail biting climax as Sierra's past returns in a terrible way. I'm looking forward to the return to Sullivan's Crossing.

Robyn Carr is a mastermind when it comes to creating realistic, touching stories. Any Day Now is no exception as readers are introduced to a young woman who suffered a traumatic experience, but comes out on the other side stronger than ever. This is an inspiring romance for readers of Mariah Stewart and RaeAnne Thayne!
Sierra Jones, the baby sister of Cal Jones from the previous Sullivan's Crossing novel, What We Find, has finally made the move to Colorado. She's struggling with her dark past but is determined to recover and remain positive about her future. What she doesn't expect to find is that Sullivan's Crossing is just what she needs to heal her soul. The air, the view and the people, especially a certain hunky firefighter, convince her that it is possible to have it all.
I enjoyed Any Day Now for so many reasons, but the foremost is because of how real the characters are. Even the secondary characters like Tom Canaday and Lola, who get a little romantic page time, have a story that reflects the situation of single parents. The writing is vivid and humorous. When it comes to writing the scenes that are more intense and dark in nature, Carr follows up with lighter interactions and the antics of the cutest puppy in literature!
Sierra is a well rounded character with a big heart and even bigger future. I love that she isn't perfect and hasn't always made the right choices, but still pushes toward redemption and happiness. The Sullivan's Crossing series will surely continue in the same vein and I'm excited to see whose story is next.

A fun jaunt into a world of second chances looking for that elusive happily-ever-after! A great cast of characters gather round to support a lost soul who wants to change her life for the better. There is happiness and joy, sadness and pain and most of all, hope and love surrounding the plot. I enjoyed my trip to Sullivan's Crossing and would love to visit again!
Sierra Jones spent too many years just getting by and making excuses for why life was the way it was before she came to make big changes for the better ... and mainly by happenstance. She's not sure where life is going to take her going forward, but she knows she's going to go into it steadier and stronger than ever before. Her first stop is a visit to Colorado to visit her big brother Cal and his new wife Maggie. She's just planning on passing through, but after a warm welcome from the newlyweds and hitting it off with Maggie's dad Sully who runs The Crossing campground, she decides to stick around for awhile. Setting down roots seems to be a work in progress as she starts to collect a few friends, inherit a wayward pup and baby step her way into a possible relationship with a hunky man. Just when she starts to let her guard down, her past rears it's ugly head and threatens to crumble her very existence once again!

This is the second book in a series about the residents of Sullivan’s Crossing but I haven’t read the first, though it wasn’t an issue at all. Apparently the first book followed Cal as he meets and falls in love with Maggie, and the second follows Cal’s sister, Sierra as she moves to town after completing rehab for an alcohol addiction. She meets a local firefighter and sparks fly, but of course issues arise. This was the standard girl meets boy, both have baggage, they fall in love, something dramatic happens, they persevere, the end. BUT what makes this book standout in a sea of similar romance novels is the fact that the characterization is fantastic and the story is infused with plenty of heart, humor and even a little suspense.
The town itself was an utterly charming place, the perfect quaint little setting for a romance novel. Sierra immediately strikes up an unlikely friendship with Sully, who is Maggie’s father and their relationship was beyond cute. All of the residents of Sullivan’s Crossing were endearing in their own way and I can easily imagine hearing more about them in future books. This was a totally lighthearted read, the secondary characters were almost as well drawn as the main ones, the writing had an easy, laid back charm, and the storyline was sweet without being cheesy.

Sierra Jones is starting over in Any Day Now by Robyn Carr. Sierra’s brother encourages her to come for a visit to Sullivan Crossing for a new start. She will be able to meet his new wife and the people of Crossing, a place where building a foundation is expected. Sierra agrees that a visit may be a nice new beginning on her path of reclaiming her life.
After arriving, she meets Sully, the campground owner and they form a friendship. Whenever things seem to be going well for Sierra, the past interrupts her future. She isn’t giving up especially after meeting, Connie, a man who could possibly be the much needed change she has been waiting on.
I enjoyed taking the journey with Sierra as she worked through her past issues. It was also enjoyable to meet the characters of Sullivan Crossing. I loved how Sierra came to realize just how important her family is to her. This was a well-written story with wonderful characters, well thought out plot and the setting made me want to visit the Crossings. This book had a great message about recovery, family and learning to accept love again. I recommend Any Day Now to others.

Another GREAT novel by Robyn Carr. I get these books for my 80 year old mom. She loves the writings of Robyn Carr. I don’t recall one that mom has disliked. And “Any Day Now” did not disappoint. I always know when its a good novel when mom is in her chair with her nose in the book, reading away. And if she is hooked on the story line, the book is usually read in a day to day & half. Well this was no exception. She never set this book down.
I never talk about the storyline in one of my reviews. I know that might upset some, but I never want to spoil something that the author has in the book. Mom tells me all about the story but I figure a person can read the blurb that the author has put on the the store site for the book. This book is a continuation of the story in Sullivan Crossing in Rural Colorado.
“Any Day Now” is the second book in the 2 book Sullivan’s Crossing Book Series. The first book, “What We Find” was released in Feb 2017. That one also is a great read.
If you like reading any of Robyn Carr’s books, you will definitely love this one also.

The concept of a second chance always draws me into a story and author Robyn Carr has a great way of doing that.
In this second installment in her Sullivan’s Crossing series, the author once again introduces characters that are realistic and likeable. She makes them seem like people you know down the street or wished lived down the street. They have traits, faults, and problems readers can relate to.
The small community setting is another drawing card that makes ANY DAY NOW a delightful read. Through vivid descriptions and rich details, readers are drawn into Sullivan Crossing as it comes to life on the page.
The interaction of the characters and the bonds of family and friends will stay with you long after you read the last line. A story of second chances that will make you believe.
FTC Full Disclosure – A copy of this book was sent to me by the publisher. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review. The thoughts are completely my own and given honestly and freely.

For Sierra Jones, Sullivan's Crossing is a way to start a new life after a very troubled past. Not only is she running away from trouble that she know she is innocent but the guy responsible for that trouble. Being close to her brother, Cal, and his bride Maggie, she feels that will be the best way to recharge herself. When she stays in a cabin at a local campground, she finds herself surrounded by the owner Sully and Molly, a dog she rescued, and she feels like she is finally at home. Add in a special guy named Conrad who shows her what love really can be like. When her past begins to catch up with her, she can only hope that she will not chase away her only chance at happiness. Loved reading this story and how strong people can be when they really need strength.

Having been an avid reader of Robyn Carr’s books for a long time, this book took me a bit to get into. I’d read the first book in this series, What We Find and enjoyed it, but this one just didn’t jump out and grab me like most of her other writing.
Conrad (Connie) is a fire fighter and Sierra is relocating to Sullivan’s Crossing after going through rehab and is a recovering alcoholic. She is drawn to the area because her brother Cal and his wife Maggie are there and because she wants to get away from a scary former acquaintance.
The book is a bit slow in the beginning, but the ride gets really wild as the story continues. Although this is the 2nd in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone. Because of the slow start, I would have only give this book 3 stars, except the ending was perfect for the story and I was quite invested in the outcome…so a solid 4 stars for a fabulous ending after a slow start

Any Day Now was a great follow up book in Ms. Carr’s new Sullivan’s Crossing series. I really enjoyed book one What We Find and enjoyed Any Day Now just as much. I really enjoyed watching Sierra try to portray herself as this tough as nails and I don’t need anyone person. Only for her to find out that while yes she is stronger than she thought. And the idea of having people in her corner is really not that scary.
I loved the dog saving scene. I loved that Sierra would risk herself to save such a sweet puppy.
Connie and Sierra are get together. It was great to see how patient Connie was with her. Letting her realize what he knew all along.
I can’t wait to see what is next for this series.

I enjoyed this book and this series is growing on me. Of course for me nothing will ever compare to Virgin River but this is a close second. This installment in this series has a few more emotions than the first one. It deals with issues of abuse and date rape. I am still not sure if I like Sierra or now. She is not a bad person but there is something about her that I just do not care for. Although I still love Maggie. I also liked to get to know Connie better and yes I do like him. One thing I did like about Sierra is that she was quick to protect Molly (a dog) - for me that means a lot. You do have to feel bad for Sierra and I found myself wanting the best for her and for good things to happen for her. The ending of this book was really good. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Sierra, Cal's sister, shows up at the Crossing at her brother Cal's house, after time spent in rehab and at home. She's running from a stalker and hoping to get her life back on track. Conrad, aka Connie, a local fireman/rescue workerm finds himself drawn to her, first woman in a long time, and the feeling is mutual. All the folks from the first book show up -- Maggie, Cal's wife; Sully, her father; Tom Canaday, the contractor -- and some new ones as well. All feel like old-time friends.
The stalker angle adds the suspense, the relationships the love story. New characters include a bunch from AA meetings, which adds another thread. The author shows how addiction can shape a person, how they can grow and overcome their addiction. The stalker adds a dark shadow and shows how women can get trapped.

The second in the series set in a small town in Colorado and this book focuses on a sibling of the main character of the first book. Sierra has moved to town to escape a few things and she has decided that living close to her brother and his newly pregnant wife is the safest place she could be.
I love series of books where we are in the same small town, but each book focuses on a different character. Usually in these circumstances I would say you can skip book one, but Cal and his story from book one definitely impacts this book, so start there before you read this one.

A good Robyn Carr, but not her best. Once again, wonderfully vivid characters meet and fall in love (more than one couple in this book), after many obstacles in their path. Once again, the good-hearted folks of Sullivans Crossing play their roles. Once again, Sully's taciturn wisdom is in play. Reading Carr is like settling into a warm bubble bath - delicious, relaxing and making you feel good. Does this one have the great drama of some others? Frankly, no. But the main issue of a recovering alcoholic facing life is very well-drawn and informative. One caveat: Connie/Conrad is almost too perfect a hero. Yes, I know this is fiction but even so......

This story is the epitome of warm, caring and cozy. The hero is a tall, sweet and sexy man whose understanding goes beyond the bounds of what every girl dreams of--in a very realistic way. The heroine is a very troubled and emotionally scarred young woman whose life has been up and down over substance abuse, but her reality is sobriety. When these two, Sierra & Conrad, get together, the sparks fly, the moon turns blue and the world slows down, giving the star-crossed young couple a chance to find healing and love.
You want the plot? Gotta read the book... you'll be glad you did!

Pretty much any book by Robyn Carr is a 5-star review for my wife. She loves to read, and many times, we'll read a book together to discuss it during our car rides. This one she read out loud to me, and much like a good audiobook, I enjoyed listening to her. Since I went into this knowing it was a romance novel, I kept waiting for the happily ever after, but the fun thing about this book was that there were so many other topics for us to discuss beyond the relationship of Sierra and Conrad.

I would have given this five stars if I were not a Colorado resident, but Carr's complete lack of knowledge about the area kept smacking me in the face. I realize Sully's Crossing and Timberlake are imaginary places, but every time she mentioned real places supposedly nearby, she got them wrong.
Aside from that issue, though, the story and characters grabbed me from the first. I want to know more about Sierra and Connie, Cal and Maggie, Tom, and everyone else, including the non-central characters, whom Ms. Carr brought to life. What will happen with Dakota? Tom? Lola? Her plotting always seems to be right on the mark, with just enough unexpected twists and turns. I'll keep reading pretty much anything she writes!

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. There are characters from previous book in this so might enjoy it more if read first book. I enjoyed the main characters as they felt like people you could know in your own life and like being with. Sierra is a strong female but the catch is she doesn't really know this for herself. Loved Molly. Ya when you read about her you will too. Was not expecting some of what happened at the end. Would I recommend this to a friend, yes I would.

It worked well as a stand alone, but I am intrigued to go back and read the first one now too. This is the second book I've read by Robyn Carr and I like her writing. Any Day Now has romance, is set in a small mountain town in beautiful Colorado, and is full of stand up characters. Another great book in the Sullivan Crossing Series!! I liked how Connie Courted Sierra. It was nice to see the book progress slowly. The way this story is written and how much Sierra more then Connie had to get over I think the book was passed just right with everything. It was really fun catching up with Cal and Maggie and of course Sully. I look forward to more books in this series, just wish we didn't have to wait so long for the next book.

Robyn Carr's Any Day Now (Sullivan's Crossing) is a novel, a sequel to her novel What We Find. Though, the novel does stand alone too. I haven't read What We Find yet. It is the Sullivan's Crossing series. Any Day Now is a look at friendship, family, romance (a bit too explicit perhaps), community, law enforcement, nature's heating powers and love - for people, animals, mountains, and forests. Then there is evil too.

‘Any Day Now’ is a book that brings the reader into its setting. Sullivan’s Crossing is a place you would like to go to. Sierra comes to visit her brother and finds more than she was looking for.
As usual there is a love story and a bit of a hazard to some of the characters.
Previous characters are in the story but this is a stand-alone book that gives you an enjoyable read.

Any Day Now is the second book in Robyn Carr’s Sullivan’s Crossing series. We meet Cal’s sister Sierra who is one year sober and looking for a new start in the small town her big brother now calls home. She’ll stay at Sully’s campground and help out while looking for another job. It’s the best possible place for her to start fresh. Soon she also has a waitress job at a diner in town which makes meeting locals very easy. One of those people will become quite special to Sierra and she to him.
I love how Robyn Carr creates a sense of place in her novels. She populates them with the kind of people most readers will relate to easily. I look forward to seeing several of the secondary characters in future books in the series. Most of all, I love the second chance trope. I wasn’t disappointed with Sierra’s story.
There’s a reason Sierra doesn’t drink anymore and that reason eventually catches up with her. That provided a dark and dramatic finish to the novel. I was happy to read the epilogue that closed out the book with an upbeat scene. Recommended to fans of Robyn Carr and the Sullivan’s Crossing series. *I received a galley from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review.

Another hit by Robyn Carr. Each story centers around characters we can identify with as they deal with the joys and struggles of every day life. This one is no exception. I look forward to each new story and wonder where it will lead... In the next book in the series.

Oh Robyn, I could hardly put this book down but I had to get some sleep because my eyes were beginning to cross. I thought "What We Find" was amazing and it was but this book was fantastic and had a very badass woman who went through a bunch of stuff. I really hope this isn't the end of this series because I am really loving what I'm reading! Thank you Robyn!

I loved loved loved this book. I think it was better than the first one in the series. I had become tired of stories with the same old story lines. It was wonderful reading this story. I actually didn't get my chores done because I was reading it, or bargained with myself to get the chores done quickly, so I could get back to the story. Highly recommend!!!

What a thrilling ride this book took me on! First, I love that it was centered in Colorado (my favorite place) second, I just loved the characters! Sierra and Connie are so perfect for each other, I love Sully, Cal, Maggie, and of course Molly -her dog! Definitely put this one on your TBR list if you want to read a fun, romantic, suspenseful story

I really enjoy Robyn Carr's books, and I was excited to read this second installment to the Sullivan's Crossing series. The story of Sierra and Connie is one of second chances and hope. It was a great read. The supporting characters all added to the story except for Neely. She seemed out of place with no real purpose. I recommend.

I am a huge Robyn Carr fan and she did not disappoint with this book. It was fast paced the characters were likeable and believable. This is book two in a two book set but you don't have to read the first book (but you will want to). A++ Thank you Robyn your why I love to read. I was given an arc by Netgalley for an honest opinion

The second book, l loved more wasn't expecting Sierra to hook up with Conrad. I know they where both mentioned in the first book but they went perfectly together. Her with major problems and him gun shy on love. The Protector his is he couldn't resist. I have fallen love with this series. They keep getting better.

I just finished this book, and loved it. When I am reading Robyn Carr's books, I feel like I am transported to wherever the book is centered. Sierra has lived a tough life. She lucked out when she arrived in Sullivan's Crossing. Great characters in this book and something to keep you going with every chapter.

We read this for our August book club and it was an amazing read. There were some frenzied discussion about things I won't spoil. If you are a fan of Robyn Carr's Virgin River this is a must read for you. I immediately felt at home with these characters.

This is the second book in this series by Robyn Carr. I love the setting (Sullivan's Crossing). It reminds me of a time when I use to camp with my family. The book has a very inviting setting, uplifting story of how life can change and of course finding true love. It is a quick, easy and enjoyable read.

This book was so good. Genuine characters, great story line. Makes you want to find a spot like Sullivan's Crossing and move. Sierra and Connie are a cute couple. I hope there are many more to come in this series. I am enjoying it as much as the Virgin River series.

I thought the first book in this series, What We Find, was excellent. I don't know how Robyn Carr does it but each subsequent book is as good as or better than the previous one! I was sobbing while reading parts of this book and enjoyed every single word read and tear that fell. I hope Dakota's story is next; I'll be first in line to pre-order it!

Sierra Jones is on the run and Sullivan’s Crossing looks like a good place for a stop over. Her brother Cal and his new wife Maggie are expecting their first child and she could use the time to talk with him. She has some money, but she is going to need a place to work and a place to stay. Maggie’s dad, Sully, quickly offers her one of the cabins and some work to do during March, which is the prep month for the cabins and campgrounds. Sierra has no intentions of love until she meets the local paramedic, Connie. He is handsome and built like a rock. But she has a past that she wants to keep closed. Can she be safe in Sullivan’s Crossing? Or will she have to keep running?
Another love story set in Colorado is never a bad thing. And this one had quite a bit of suspense and mystery to it. The layers keep pulling back on Cal’s family, especially his siblings. It makes me wonder if the future installments will be based on the other two siblings. It’s been fun to meet his family and learn more about them. This book was not as difficult to follow on the viewpoint transitions as the first book. However, there was still some sex scenes and language. I still recommend this book for mature readers.

This is the second book in the series, I hope the author will do another one, and it did not disappoint me. I love how the author gives the reader such good characters to love and care about. It is a book I did not want to put down until I had finished it. Sierra comes to Sullivan's crossing to be with her brother Cal and his wife Maggie. She has a history of being a heavy drinker and making some bad choices along the way. She dated a man once and he stalked her, assaulted her and that put her on the run. First into rehab where she dealt with her drinking and then on to be with her brother Cal. She meets Sully, the owner of the camp ground and finds a friend. She meets Conrad, also known as Connie, a local fireman and paramedic and a friendship develops. Through several months of forming relationships with all her new friends she has to learn to trust herself, open herself up to a romantic relationship with Conrad, and believe in herself. But does the stalker come back into the picture? She keeps thinking she see him but is it just fear she is feeling or is it really him and he found her? I feel the author did a great job of moving the story along but letting time pass in a realistic time frame for Sierra to make the changes. Sierra struggles with situations, mostly Conrad, but he is the perfect boyfriend sensitive, caring and letting her work things out at her own pace. I also loved the part the dog Molly played in the story giving Sierra comfort and peace allowing her to gradually handle the new relationships in her life. Great easy read with some suspense and I highly recommend it.

**RATING 4.5**
ANY DAY NOW by Robyn Carr is the second instalment of her hugely popular Sullivan's Crossing series, and even though I did not read the first book, it didn't take anything away from this engaging novel which can easily be read as a standalone story.
Sierra Jones has moved to Colorado to be closer to her brother and his new wife and hopes that Sullivan's Crossing will be the perfect opportunity for a fresh start. A recovering alcoholic, Sierra is determined to leave her troubled past behind and wants to reconnect with her brother who was always there for her as a child. But when danger trails behind her and tries to pull her under, Sierra will discover so much more from this warm-hearted community who have taken her under their wing.
Through beautiful descriptions, this community comes alive and is the kind of place you long to live in. The characters in this story are so loveable because they are realistic - they have flaws, troubles, hopes, dreams, and fears, just like everyone has in the real world. Sierra is a remarkable character and I love her honesty, strength, and determination from start to finish in this story. ANY DAY NOW by Robyn Carr is a well-paced, captivating story of love, family, and fighting for your future, and I highly recommend it.

Robyn Carr amazed me with Any Day Now, the second book in her Sullivan’s Crossing series. In addition to coming to Sullivan’s Crossing to visit with her big brother, Cal, and his wife, Maggie, Sierra Jones came to make peace with her troubled past and find a path for the future. Independent Sierra soon bonds with Maggie’s dad, Sully, finally finding the father figure she always wanted. When her past catches up with her, it's a special man and an adorable puppy who give her the strength to face the truth and fight for a brighter future. While in Sullivan's Crossing, Sierra learns to cherish not only the family you are given but also the family you choose.
Once again Robyn Carr has written a winner. I loved the way Robyn Carr took the reader along Sierra’s journey to find peace with her past and figure out her future. Through that journey, Sierra and the wonderful people she surrounded herself with faced their challenges with humor, strength, and love. I highly recommend this book to all readers as I struggled to put this book down.

I did not want this book to end.
Sierra has lived a really tough couple of years. She has moved to Sullivan's crossing to be nearer her brother and sister-in-law.. Connie is a local firefighter and search and rescue volunteer.
They both have had bad relationships and are not sure if they want to try again. .
I highly recommend this title., you will be so glad you read it and like me looking forward to the next one.

There is just nothing better than a Robyn Carr...except maybe a Robyn Carr book narrated by Therese Plummer! The story was classic Carr, a small town romance with lots of back story that is so spectacular that you become engaged in the characters lives and just want it to go on and on forever.
