I have always loved the Anne stories, but with this series I got to read them all. Anne Shirley never disappoints me. The last two books were anecdotal of PE Island. Several of the stories were disturbing for there bluntness. Some had very unexpected endings. Some were not at all what I would have expected from. Montgomery. I wouldn't say they were all delightful, but I can say the first four deserved 5 stars enough to over ride the rest.

This looks like a cheap knock-off production. The cover image quality is very low resolution, there are no illustrations and the book layout/design suggests someone is trying to make a quick $. As a book lover who holds classics in highest regards, I am beyond disappointed with this item.

I read three books from this series that had belonged to my mother when she was a young girl. She was, and my sister and I still are, huge Anne fans. I had not realized there were other books until they started being reissued in the late 70''s or early 80's. At that time I bought them all, along with anything else I could find by this author, and gave them to my mother. Although I have kept the original three Anne books, much tattered with multiple readings and age, I am trying to downsize my book collection which threatens to take over an entire room. I am very happy to be able to add this to my Kindle and donate the others. L. M. Montgomery is a Canadian treasure and I believe Anne will continue to charm future generations of young girls.

Anne of Green Gables is a classic and the companion books are just as wonderful. I enjoy slipping away to another time and place and losing myself for a few hours in the misadventures of Anne and her friends. Seeing her grow from an orphaned child into a confident young woman is wonderful. These books are wonderful for young readers and adults alike.

I don't care how many times I reread this book, it's still a favorite! Main characters you can identify with, emotional situations that wrap you up in your own heartstrings, and a plot that drags you bumping down the dusty road. If you haven't read this YA classic already...Read. This. Book.

This is the most drippy book I have ever read. I read someone who said it was her favorite book so I wanted to read it. Predictable story line, lots of redundancy and written for a 10 year old. A waste of time.
