And Hot Six (Stephanie Plum Boxed Set Book 2) - Four to Score

This was my first Janet Evanovich book, and I loved it. If you are looking for funny, romance and mystery this book is for you. Wonderful fluff beach holiday reading. If you enjoy Stephanie Bond you will love Janet Evanovich.

Janet Evanovich is one of the best authors I have read. Her humor is such that I have to laugh aloud as I'm reading. She gives her characters traits to which one can relate and you feel you've known them forever. If reading her books do not cause you to laugh to yourself or aloud, there is something wrong with your sense of humor. I recommend her books highly.

I was disappointed when told the book's eta was 3 weeks, but it did show up in less than that. I ordered 2 books and they were shipped separately. I did not request combined, but thought they would see that they went to the same place. They showed up 2 days apart but luckily I got the first in the series firts. The books were in great condition. Overall I am satisfied.

I didn't realize (just didn't look, I guess) that this was a combination of the first three books. I loved them when I read them. This is a nice book to give as a gift to get someone interested in the series.

I can always rely on Evanovitch to make me laugh, however formulaic her stories are, and this book didn't disappoint. One looks forward to meeting her characters again and their antics continue to amuse. It may be years before I pick up another Plum but know I won't be disappointed.

When does the story advance? Stephanie has her boyfriend Joe Morelli and her boy tease Ranger. For the last five books, we,the readers, have been overwhelmed with descriptions of the seductive powers of these two men. She seems to prefer Joe, but Ranger is waiting in the wings. Stephanie is an unconventional bounty hunter. In every book I read so far, something happens to her car. Her insurance company must be ready to drop her any day now. I know I am.

I loved the books when I read them. However, the reader on the audio books has such an accent I could not listen to them. It probable would not bother someone from the North but it grated like a nail on a blackboard to my Southern ears. Debi Mazar is a very good actress and I can take her in small doses. I do think though, that a reader should appeal to everyone and not just folks from New Jersey. I realize Stephanie Plum is from New Jersey but I would not enjoy the books nearly as much if thought she sounded like that.

My Aunt recently recommended Janet Evanovich and now I am addicted. These books are hard to put down. The characters are lovable and funny. You will laugh out loud so be careful where you read these books.

I didn't read this book. As I began it, I realized it was a repeat of
another Stephanie Plum book I had already read. In fact, it was a compilation of 3 Stephanie Plum books, all of which I had already read.

This book is a follow up to Stephanie Plum One, Two, Three and contains books 4, 5 and 6 of the Stephanie Plum series. This collection is as gloriously funny as the first three and I'll review each book separately.

"Four to the Score"

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has to bring Maxine Nowicki to the police, but it turns out the case isn't as simple as she initially thought. Maxine's ex-boyfriend pressed charges against her on account of car theft and decides to hire Stephanie to find Maxine as well. The whole case gets more mysterious when Maxine's ex starts starts receiving encrypted messages, and it is Stephanie who decodes them with the help of a dressing drag queen - Sally Sweet. To confuse the plot even more, Maxine's best friend and mother show up with missing body parts and there are fake $20 bills circulating in Trenton. Is Stephanie going to outsmart Maxine? The whole set of funny characters is back: Morelli, Lula, Grandma Mazur and even Joyce!
It seems Evanovich's imagination is far from running dry in this 4th book of the series. As the others, this story is very funny and there are a lot of passages you'll feel the need to share and read out loud. The mystery is intriguing and compelling, Maxine is smart and that helps the plot. I liked Sally Sweet, I think he was a good addition to the unusual set of characters in the novels and Stephanie's family keeps the good moments coming. Explosions, dangerous situations, weird mysteries and even more laughs - this book won't disappoint the fans.

"High Five"

This series is an amazing good mix of mystery and laughs, and this book doesn't disappoint at all. Stephanie's uncle is missing and even though he was known to be a scrooge, he might have been onto something bad when he disappeared. Stephanie is asked to look for her uncle, while Vinnie doesn't have much work for her. Since money is starting to become a problem, Stephanie decides to ask Ranger for help on getting her a job. Hilarity and explosions ensue. I didn't realise how much I missed big explosions! Stephanie really attracts dangerous situations and people - either in the form of criminals or sexy men. And it's a known fact that people in the burg don't like that other people get shot or blown up - the viewing isn't the same with a closed casket. Morelli is finally getting some competition from Ranger and I cannot wait to read the next book and find out exactly what was happening in the end. As always, Janet Evanovich delivers and if you love Stephanie as much as I do, this book is a must read. Mix a lot of Stephanie, Morelli, Ranger, grandma Mazur and Lula, and then add a little of a sheik, a little person and a lot of cars: you are ready for the action!

"Hot Six"

I wanted to know the end of "High Five" so bad that I started reading this one straight away. It's again filled with very funny moments, but it doesn't have as many explosions as the previous instalment. But don't worry, instead of explosions we get Bob: the wonder dog that eats (and therefore poops) like a cow! Besides this great addition, Stephanie is surprised by both grandma Mazur moving in with her and Ranger's disappearance. Ranger is the last person caught on tape leaving a murder scene, and Stephanie wants to help him but has no idea how, specially considering that almost every criminal in town is looking for him and hoping she leads them to Ranger. To make matters even worse, Joyce Barnhardt is the bounty hunter responsible for bringing Ranger in. Things can't get any more complicated for Stephanie, unless we add a man who is badly in need of sex and is called Morelli! Wow, this series is unstoppable!

Love all of the Plum books! I would tell everyone that needs a good laugh to start from the beginning with One For The Money, and work their way through. There are 21 Plum books plus the between-the-numbers books. That's a lot of laughs. Stephanie Plum is hard to describe. At times a walking disaster waiting to happen, at times unbelievably lucky. The two men in her life are as she would say to die for! Her family makes you think yours isn't as dysfunctional as you thought! ALL of them just plain fun anytime reads!

I WAS VERY SORRY THAT I BOUGHT THIS BOOK. NOT ONLY DID IT COST WAY TOO MUCH OVER $17. DOLLARS BUT WOULDN'T YOU KNOW ALL IT'S THREE OF THE BOOKS THAT I ALREADY READ WHICH THEY DON'T TELL YOU. IT'S A BIG SURPRISE WHEN YOU GET IT ALL EXCITED TO READ MORE JANET EVANOVICH AND YOU OPEN IT UP AND SURPRISE!! SURPRISE ITS FOUR TO SCORE, HIGH FIVE, AND HOT SIX IN JANET'S PLUM SERIES. SO NOW I'M OUT THE MONEY AND I AM THE PROUD OWNER OF A 5 POUND BOOK AND IT'S 3 BOOKS I ALREADY READ. IF I HAD KNOWN THAT'S WHAT IT WAS I NEVER WOULD HAVE ORDERED IT, SO DON'T GET SUCKED IN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY READ THE PLUM SERIES AS I HAVE FROM THE BEGINNING ONE FOR THE MONEY, ETC. I'M UP TO THE NEWEST ONE FINGER LIKIN FIFTEEN. SO NOW IT JUST SITS ON THE SHELF COLLECTING DUST. OH WELL....

Great Books, enjoy everyone of Janet Evanovich's books. I have about 5 or 6 more to read and then by that time she will have written another Stephanie Plum novel. Received my book in about 4 days. Ordered it on a Sunday and had it by that Wed. or Thurs. Great people to order from.

I actually got a copy of Twelve Sharp from a friend, and loved it. I started looking into buying the whole set, when I found Three Plums in One, and now More Plums in One. Can anyone tell me if they are bring out any more Plums in One? I love this concept of having three books right there and just being able to continue on. Please publish Much More Plums in One!!!

I spent a rainy afternoon reading this book and I just loved it!! I was laughing so hard during some of it I had to wipe the tears from my eyes!! It's one of those easy reads that you can't believe you're reading but once you've started it you can't put it down!

I heartily applaud the publisher of this omnibus and pray they continue to make the Stephanie Plum series available in this format. Well bound, easy to read print, and stories that keep the reader engaged and smiling.

These are great stories to read on the plane. There's adventure, romance, and some funny characters. This is not high literature nor will it change your world view. It's just fun! Three books in one is a great deal, too.

This book is actually book 4, 5 & 6 of the Stephanie Plum Series. Three great reads in one! For anyone who loves the adventures of Stephanie Plum and wants to collect all the books this one is a must have to add to your collection.

Although I have read the "unnumbered" Stephanie Plum books as well, they do not reach the pinnacles of hilarity, fear for the heroine, curiosity about what Lula will wear, whether Joe or Ranger will get laid, and how much longer a hamster can live. But the numbered books are impossible to not to read in one sitting (and yes, some of them can be really long sittings. I have sacrificed many a night's sleep attempting to find the answers to the questions posited above.

More Plums in One
Ordering this item was a breeze, even for me, since I'm slightly computer challenged. The price was excellent ( 3 books in one about $11-$12 total ). Actually received the book in less time than they said.
