My significant other is a fan of these books and wanted this coloring book very much. He loves art, so I bought for his birthday. The pictures are high quality and there are plenty of them. He uses it frequently. I'm pleased with the number of pages, detail of the artwork, and accompanying quotes from the books... but I still found the price to be a bit unreasonable as it IS just a coloring book. I realize GOT is very popular, but I didn't feel like I got an awesome price on this item.

Otherwise, the enjoyment a fan gets out of it made it worthwhile overall.

I love the series and bought this for my girlfriend who watches it with me.
She colors quite a bit. Yet the details of this book and the actual characters are not even close to what they could have been.

Honestly, a review process should have taken place from the publisher and not allowed them to release it in its current condition.
It truly takes down the quality of the name "A Game Of Thrones"

So I like a few things about this book, but only a few. I LOVE the Cersi picture and the Sansa Stark one, as well so some of the more intricate pieces, but I'm irked by the 'quality' of some of the images. Coloring Book brings to the mind of sharp crisp and bold black line, but there are some pictures that feel more like sketches and are unfinished in some fashion. This is counted by the good intricate and complex images. I was really wanting to see more characters, but we only get Cersi, Sansa, Loras, Melisandra, Vareys, Daario, and even Khal Drogo... no BIG players everyone would love to color. No Tryion, Jaime, any of the other Starks, Cersi's spawn, Danerys... etc.

TL;DR: Some great images for coloring, the rest feels... poopy. Honestly I'd rather scour the internet for free linearts from artists for the series. Check the book out in stores and see if its for you... but I can't honestly recommend buying this book.

The cover picture is great but inside the designs are disapointing. Only a couple pages have designs the quality of the cover. Most are simple & unintetesting. I would return it if I wouldn't loose money on it.

The drawing are nice...but most of it is just scenery and castles. the only characters in it are Cersi, Sansa, Loras, Melisandra, Vareys, Daario, and Khal Drogo. Was really hoping for more of the core main characters, Jon Snow, Tyrion, Daenerys, or Ayra. Probably wont color due to the lines being so small.

This coloring book is great. Love the detailed pictures. The paper sometimes doesn't seem to like crayons, varies with color or type like the glitter crayons and I wonder if color pencil would work better. In any case the art is great and I'm really happy I got this book. Yes I'm an adult who colors get over it haha

I really love this coloring book. The illustrations are beautiful and quite detailed. It takes me awhile to color one picture, which I actually enjoy, since it means that the book will last longer. I will admit though, coloring doing of these will be a struggle; they almost have too much detail. Regardless, I love this book

The pages are really thick, so I did not have any issues when coloring. I prefer colored pencils; even when I pressed hard, I did not leave dents on the page. I also tried markers for some small details and they did not bleed. I did notice that some of the text transferred onto the following page as I colored. I was able to use an eraser to remove the markings. I then started putting a sheet of paper between the pages to prevent this issue from happening again. I also think it was quite smart to have all of the drawings on the right pages, rather than on both the left and right. This helps prevent the transfer of color between the pages.

I could be wrong, but it feels like this is going to be just one of several coloring books for the Game of Thrones / Song of Ice and Fire series. I look forward to seeing if more become available.

Very cool indeed. Lot of spoilery involved if you haven't read the books! I got 2 and may get a couple more. For those not happy because some main characters were missed I'm sure this is just one of a planned series.

I just received my copy today. It looks like it will be a lot of fun. My only complaint is that it was designed for right-handed people as all of the pictures are on the right side. Maybe if you release another one you could make it half and half?

I am an avid fan of A Song of Ice and Fire, and also love adult coloring books. Imagine my delight when this was offered! I couldn't wait to get my greedy little hands on this official coloring book featuring my favorite fantasy characters and locations. Now, imagine paging through this book to find that none of your favorite characters are included. Ostensibly, there are five MAIN characters in the series: Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Tyrion Lannister, and Bran Stark. NONE of these characters is included. We get Ghost and Longclaw, but no Jon. We get Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viseryion (and Daario), but no Dany. We get Cersei (which is a lovely page), but no Tyrion. We get a giant Weirwood, but no Brandon (or Brynden Rivers for that matter). Of all the Starks, they give us Sansa? You do know what your fans want, right George? While the Sansa page is pretty, we all know she is the least interesting Stark. And Loras Tyrell? Does anyone care about LorasTyrell?

We do, however, get a nice Coldhands page, and a Child of the Forest. Giants and Mammoths aren't particularly interesting to me, and the while prospect of coloring thousands of tiny Weirwood leaves and ocean swirls (on the Pyke page) doesn't excite me, at least the subject matter is interesting.

Aside from my complaints regarding what subject matter was chosen, the art is hit or miss. Some of it is perfectly rendered for coloring, full of detail but not so much that it is a deterrent to actually coloring. Some of the pieces are too rough to believe they were sanctioned for printing in a professional and official publication.

All in all, if you are a hardcore fan, this is a fun thing as long as you temper your expectations. Otherwise, wait until it goes on clearance, because I have a feeling it will.

I can't really color this book how I wanted to. The SKETCHES are okay quality, I could have done better, and even after having the show give you an idea of how most people will see the characters, i couldn't figure out half the characters in the book without looking at the quotes. Why does Melisandre look like an anorexic Pocahontas? Why does Sir Loras look like the uglier twin of Fabio? I actually thought Sansa was Bran or Jon until I saw the long braid. This coloring book was like watching Dragonball Z go through all the different animators on back to back episodes all over again.

Misleading cover! This drawing is the only one like it in book. The rest of the pictures are mostly just dumb, and definately no more costumes to color as the cover would suggest. $10+ bucks for one picture is not worth it.

Was so excited to order and receive this but I'm a bit disappointed. While I like the pictures and the accompanying text, the pictures are very detailed and seem complete already to me. They're like pencil or ink illustrations from a book and, in some cases, already have shading and detail that would be lost if I colored them. When I opened and flipped through the pages I was pleased with it as a picture book but did not feel at all compelled to immediately grab my pencils and start coloring like I felt when I received Secret Garden. The first several pages are the various house sigils so I'll likely color those but not much else. I don't hate it, it's actually lovely and the illustrations are beautiful so I'll look at it often, but I wish I would have waited to purchase until I could see it in person first.

Kind of neat but as posted it's more illustrated to where it's not a great actual coloring book. Also would have anticipated based on the release date to have characters look like the actors from the show. My husband who this was for -said some of them just loom like bad fan art.

I received this for Christmas, it was the best present I got! I understand the other comments about this book and yes it is a bit difficult to figure out how to color some of these pictures. I like the challenge they present to me. I am in no way an artist so may not have a good judge of what is good to color and what is not. I love the Game Of Thrones and this gives me the opportunity to put color to the story, but I've been known to go through B&W comic books and put color to them so what do I know. I can't draw so I love putting color to just about anything in B&W.

I really love this one! So my husband had intended to buy me the Harry Potter coloring book for my birthday but they were sold out before they even hit the shelves so he bought me this book instead. TALK ABOUT LUCK! From the instant that I opened it to browse the pages I was just itching to get started and could hardly choose which picture to start with. I ended up going with the picture on the cover but how I'm going to choose the second picture when this one is done is just beyond me. There is SO MUCH detail, which I love because I can really take my time with it and have it feel like a finished piece when I'm done instead of it just looking like a page from any other coloring book. Recently reviews for the HP book have started posting pictures and I am SO GLAD they were sold out and my hubby ended up getting me this one instead. The artwork is supremely better in this one!!! All the reviewers talking about how it's too detailed probably aren't into the Secret Garden and other super detailed, fine work, adult coloring books either and that's fine ... but if you're like me and you love complex depth and use coloring as a form of meditation - this book is PERFECT!!!

For a GoT coloring book, I feel it was sincerely lacking in content. It was nice to have the house crests to color, but there weren't very many important characters to color -- this means no Eddard Stark, no Jon Snow, no DAENERYS or dragons, or quite a few others. I'm hoping there will be a second, and maybe third additions to this coloring book. If not, I'm going to be really disappointed.

Awesome, I love the sketchiness of the prints, they feel more natural that way. I also like how they use each picture fully and don't leave a lot of negative space. The quote page is also nice so you don't have to worry about colours transferring.

I'm a huge fan of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, and my friend gave this book to me as a gift. It has beautiful illustrations, they are very complex and are of high quality. My favorite part about them is that they are from the book series, not the show. Not that I have anything against the show, but it was nice to see the characters brought to life in a way that could never be done with actors. There are corresponding quotes with each illustration, so there are minor spoilers. That aside, I highly recommend this product!

I love this coloring book! Unlike some that feel like they were thrown together last minute for money, this one has beautiful, detailed images with accompanying text passages that make it feel more like a story book. The drawings are rather complex and some have a more hand sketched quality instead of the traditional thick lines of coloring pages, but I think there is still plenty of detail to color.

This is one of my first attempts at adult coloring and I'm loving the dragons page. I like the soft pencil sketches. But some of the pages are complicated or just uninteresting. And there aren't enough of the main characters. But I'm having fun with it so far. But where is Daenerys Stormborn?? And Arya Stark?

I love my new co!oring book. If i had one thing I'd change it would be there isnt enough fantasy pictures, like more Dire wolves, the whitevwalkers, and the places like starks landing, or the land that's across the narrow sea. Some pictures are intricate some aren't so much, so over all I'd rate it a B+.

I received this book as a Christmas gift and have been tickled pink -- as well as every other color of the rainbow. The negative reviews with regard to the lack of characters depicted must have been written by fans familiar with the show, but not the books. I have read the SOIAF series three times, and am always enchanted with GRRM's vivid and fanciful descriptions of the architecture, decor, feasts, sigils -- but most of all, the suits of arms! This book has it all, and more! I love the show as well, but was disappointed with the plain armor. Of course, those intricately enameled breastplates are more easily imagined than realized, and even HBO's budget can only go so far. Personally, I would not be inspired to color this book if it were more focused on the characters. People just look like people. While the characters depicted in the coloring book are minor; e.g., a child of the forest, masked Brazen Beasts, the flamboyant Tyroshi, Daario, they will certainly be much more fun to color! I think a coloring book depicting the major characters engaged in various activities such as horse riding or sword play, would be of more interest to children. But there's the rub. If young children are familiar with the show, then their parents need a smack upside the head!

My wonderful wife bought me this a few months ago as I have been dealing with crippling back pain and then a surgery. The detail in this book is exceptionally well done and I have spent many hours working to give this incredible book the attention that it rightfully deserves. If you like the series of novels, the show, or even just coloring you will not be disappointed!

This book is excellent I love the drawings that are available however I felt as if it was unfair considering there are so few characters in the book. Cersei, Sansa, Melisandre, Loras, Varys, and what seems to be Drogo are included in the book however the rest is mostly senery of castles and events that have happened in the novels. I only felt as if there were not enough characters included in this book and I hope they make another which does so other than that the pages are perfect for coloring. I just thought they would include more characters and that's the only reason why I gave it 2 stars.

If you are a Game of Thrones fan or a fan of complex adult coloring books than this is the good choice. This book is very detailed and has known scenes and characters form the hit TV show. The book is very big, so there can be a lot of time spent with it.

I bought this book for a friend who likes Game of Thrones and she has been loving it. The details are amazing and there are parts of the picture scenes that is right out of the show and books. You have the power though and can color as you desire or follow what you already know. If you have a Game of Thrones fan in your life then you will like this book and it will take them hours upon hours to color it all and in a precise manor.
