I have read some of the YA books this is one of the best I have ever read. The characters are great finished in 2 nights. The writing is very good i can't think of a bad thing to say about any of the book it is just a very good read.

I will continue reading the series. I will say Avlyn and Meyer did not build enough of a relationship to be already in love. Way too soon for myself to feel that from either one of them. Maybe next book will get the relationship going better with more feelings.

I've been on a dystopian/post apocalyptic book kick for over a year. It's hard to find a book that doesn't begin to fit a certain mold or storyline, but this book does. A great, believable read with characters I actually cared about.

This is a great book! The storyline as one I not read of. It in a time where everything is controlled by the government for the better good! I did not want to put it down! I would recommend this book to others!

This book is a compelling read. It sucked me under right away, and kept me oblivious to the world around me for a few hours. This author's characters are well drawn. I am off to search out book #2...

I was surprised to read that this was the authors first book. It was really well written and very engaging. I read a lot of dystopian and zombie books. This is one of my favorites in quite a while. Definitely a good read if you like this genre.

This was a really great read. Set in the future in which love is all but forbidden and children don’t know the love of a parent, it is a powerful look at what the world could be like without families and love and how empty an existence life would be. Is age appropriate for 5th grade and above and a presents great topics for disciussion for children.and parents.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy from the author for an honest review.

Fast paced, great read. This book stands apart in a literary world where Dystopian future fiction seems to be taking over. Reminiscent of 'The Hunger Games' or 'The Gender Game' where you have a character that draws you in so completely you don't want it to end.

I reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This novel had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. It had so much action it was hard to keep up! The technology that the author introduces and the corruption of the new society make this book so interesting you won't want to put it down. I can't wait to read book two in the series!

Loved the unique premise and rapid fire plot! I have a house to clean and bills to write which I totally ignored til I finished the last page. Downloading the next book before my family comes and gets me...

This book has absolutely everything I was looking for in my search for the next good read. So much so that i read it in less than 36 hrs! I really want to join this lovely group of sci-fi/dystopian genre writers, the possibilities are endless!

I couldn't help but enjoy reading this book, it was a true page turner. I enjoyed how it was fast paced and full of action. For me, the beginning felt slow but making it through was worth it. The characters developed smoothly. If you enjoy Divergent or even dystopian books, this is for you! 4.5/5 stars recommend!

all types and I rarely leave a review however I would love to see more of this series it has definite potential to go the distance.... Good luck to this author I hope to see this as a series that send young people flocking to books like many others have over the years she could pull it off with this series if she continues to add complexity to them as she has

I received this as an ARC and am so grateful that I did. I can't say enough good things about it. There is adventure, romance and intruige from page one. The characters are believable and easy to relate too. You are pulled into the world and turning the pages as fast as possible. Can't wait for the next book.

The no was too confusing. The writer did a poor job of creating the world. When an author decides to write about technologies that don't exist yet they should be able to do it in a way that makes it easy for the reader to understand. This book lacked that.

To start, I received an advance reader copy of this book.

I give this a book a 10 out of 10 stars.

To start the cliche saying of don’t judge a book by it’s cover, is not true in this case; go look at the cover and the book trailer, you will see the thought placed into it and how well it fits these genres and how intriguing they both really are! Sets the book up to be great and the book delivers! Now back to the actual content of the book ...

I am a huge Dystopian Reader and this book is able to combine science fiction, dystopian, fantasy and more to create a book that attracts people with all different interests. For me, being a teen, I found this book to be very connectable from the times when she said “my heart’s doing its best to escape again” to when she says, “I am not who I thought I was.” This brings me into talking about Avlyn, the main character. Avlyn is a very connectable character for the time right now, she combines several different personality’s that makes her relate to so many people. This book is also my definition of a “modern book.” Ok nobody will know what this is so here is my explanation: this means that it connects many different aspects of things that have a growing presence in our world. The big thing that the book talks about is the hacking, which a prediction I have made several times, will have a growing presence in all books, especially in the YA genre. Going back to this book, the hacking part is intertwined with action of the book, in a very, very perfect way! This book has you sitting on the edge of your seat through the end with the multiple places with action involved and the end that is - I will end that sentence there, in the hopes of not giving to much away. Majority of book reviews will say that same thing, but I read Dystopian A LOT and when I say that this book is new, different, and action packed I really mean it! Many books will be intertwined with a character that is driven by love, romance, or something that just doesn’t seem real, but this book creates a real passion and interest about this new dystopian world.

I hate it when people begin with for a “debut author” this is an awesome book, but here is the thing: For a debut author she writes amazing. For an author [just like anyone that has written a book or two] she writes amazing! Jenetta Penner creates connections between the beginning of the book and the end, with the first and the last, everything connects back to Avlyn who in a way changes herself and in a way stays herself (I guess you will have to read the book to make any sense of that last line!).

My final word is for me to thank Jenetta for giving me the honor to not only advance read this book as well as Beta read this book, but for Jenetta to let us into this perfectly crafted world of her’s that is written “awesomely” and I can't wait to see where this book goes [In both this world and Avlyn's!] As I am sure I will say again and again and you will hear it about several books ... Just read it!

A wonderful read. Love futuristic type books, and this one did not disappoint. My only escape is books now days, and it's difficult finding a series I can focus on! This one has left me gripping my seat and eager to continue!

Configured is a wonderful dystopian novel that fans of Divegent would love. Intellect and genetics determines where one is placed in the caste system. Penner did an excellent job at incorporating a romance that shouldn't exist in a would where the only emotion exists is in a match that is best for society to create the best offspring. This book allows a person to enter a world where your intelligence is the most important thing.

As a massive fan of dystopian literature I was very excited to read Configured. The concept enticed me and it did not disappoint. It was compelling and very well written! The only thing was the love triangle. Personally I feel that love triangles are overdone in this genre and I would have liked to see more focus on Avlyn's character development. Apart from that I loved the book! Will definitely be looking forward to book 2!!!

Great read - the story really grabs you and the writing pulls you into the world that the author has created. Can't wait for books 2 and 3 in the trilogy!!!!

I received an ARC copy of the book at no cost from the author. I cannot say enough good things about this book. It kept me invested from the beginning, with its strong female character , and the question of which boy would she pick. This book makes you say "when does the next one come out." This is a must read for those who loved the divergent series.

When is the next book coming out? I'm impatient and I only finished Configured last night.

I am intrigued by a society that values intelligence over physical strength, yet still is so deeply flawed. Avlyn has to use her emotions and her intellect and is a fabulous heroine.

Great book, great pacing. I did find it dragged a little while Avlyn was training, but it is worth continuing. I really loved this book. When is the sequel?

I received an ARC. I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was a little choppy in places, but I thoroughly enjoyed the main character. She is completely believable in her reactions to the events that happen around her. I would totally recommend this book to anyone who like dystopian novels.

This is the first book I've read by Jenetta Penner. I really enjoyed it. It was fast-paced with a lot of action. The characters were very likable and the storyline was interesting to say the least.

It's not your average dystopian society YA fantasy fiction which seem to be all I read with the sci-fi angle it gives new life to a common concept. Character development is interesting throughout and has a truly compelling relationship between Meyer and Avalyn.

This was a really great book. I finished it wanting more and am very much looking forward to the rest of the trilogy! However, at times, I did feel like the train of thought got lost and I found myself having to reread more often then I would have liked.

I really loved this book. I received an ARC copy a while back but was unable to give a review until now. Great story line with a unique twist on dystopian fiction. Great character development. It was obvious how much work was put into this and how well thought out it was.

I received an ARC of the book, I'm only on chapter five. So far, I love the book. I'm not a big book reader but I have read some just not future techy books. But this book for me is definitely worth the read for me. It's a very hard book to put down. Can't wait for the next book and to see what happens next. :)

The descriptions of the settings and overall environment provided an immersion for the reader. Each situation brings you a step closer to what appears to be a conclusion, only to have a different and exciting twist of characters.

This was an interesting read. I liked the premise, but some aspects seemed a little tacked on. The romantic interest seemed forced and abrupt. I will read the sequel because the main plot is so engrossing. Loved it.

Amazing book! I loved the story line! It's fast paced and full of action. I couldn't put it down. I fully enjoyed the characters and the world building in this book. It had a slight Divergent feel to it, so if you liked Divergent I think you'll love this!

Loved it! Great pace. I was very sad when I found out the second book isn't out yet. I usually like to read series that have a few books out, so I was super bummed I couldn't start the next one. It was that good!
