Life On Hold
Life On Hold

Review:It was interesting to see how Rae handled all of the upheavel and moves her family made, with her mother all the while clueless to Rae's true feelings. I liked Rae's almost unending positiveness, and eventually learned to stand her ground when the time is right and change the things in her life that needed it.

Great book for anyone, but especially those who might bond with the main character and find inspiration for their own challenges in their life. Read more

An Urban Fantasy Romance (The Marked Mage Chronicles
An Urban Fantasy Romance (The Marked Mage Chronicles

Review:I haven't been this excited about a fantasy book since reading the 'Sookie Stackhouse' series.it definitely has some grammatical errors that need fixed but I didn't even notice them until I went back and read the book for a second time. I never re-read books unless I truly enjoy them.'Insidious' has a new take on the usual fantasy romance and once the story gets rolling I found it impossible to put down. Read more

Meritropolis
Meritropolis

Review:This is unlike any dystopian I've ever read. Not only does Joel Ohman manage to keep the tension amped througout the book, he adds to this with amazing drawings at the beginning of each chapter. Ohman knows how to use foreshadowing. This series is definitely one for the collector's library. It just doesn't get much better than this. Read more

A Story of Survival in WW2 Holland - The Hidden Village
A Story of Survival in WW2 Holland - The Hidden Village

Review:This was the first time I ever heard of an underground hidden community in the woods where resisters and jews lived during WW2. It was compelling reading, and though it was a fictitious story, it represented what the people did endure as the years passed and they were forced to leave their families and hide away during the day in underground huts, coming out at night. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in history or the WW2 period. Read more

A Memoir of the Cultural Revolution - Red Scarf Girl
A Memoir of the Cultural Revolution - Red Scarf Girl

Review:It was a very touching book it made me realize how lucky I am. I kept on thinking to myself why couldn't they have left her alone she wasn't responsible for her background. I feel so sorry that she didn't get to grow up like a normal child. I wish her childhood hadn't been ruined by Chairman Mae. I really enjoyed the book because it let you know what happened while your parents were younger and how children got brutilized when they hadn't done anything wrong. I really feel sorry for Jiang...
