It was interesting to see how Rae handled all of the upheavel and moves her family made, with her mother all the while clueless to Rae's true feelings. I liked Rae's almost unending positiveness, and eventually learned to stand her ground when the time is right and change the things in her life that needed it.

Great book for anyone, but especially those who might bond with the main character and find inspiration for their own challenges in their life.

i thought this book was really great and i would recommend it to anyone! i really got into it, i finished it in 1 day and im hungry for more! although it had a sastifying ending! i got really engrossed in rae maddox`s life. her friends, with their different attitudes and personalitys, bubbly and friendly, new girl with mysterious past and depressed from tragic past, funny and geeky, and kind beyond belief, patient, trusting and mot importantly very kissable... also her moms constant need to move shapes raes childhood as one trying not to get attachd to anyone since she will just leave them by the end of the semester. finding out the mystery of raes dad that her mom wont say a word about helps shape this story into being truly a treasure. i`ll be reading more karen mcquestion for sure. she should have her books published beyond the internet. i loved this book and i say everyone NEED to read it!!

In typical adolescent fiction fashion, this novel is filled with twists, turns, and drama on nearly every page. Author Karen McQuestion does a great job developing the plot line and bringing the characters in the story to life. Though there are some family fights along the way, things seem to be resolved at the end of the book, though not in a realistic or role-model fashion.

My main complaint with this book is the somewhat frequent use of swearing (along with a few references to crude email). I've never understood why authors would include swearing in books aimed at the preteen/teen crowd. To seem more realistic? Just take the high road folks.

Other than that, Rae (the main character) has seemed to develop some genuine friendships worth emulating, has a pretty stable relationship with her mother, and her grandparents are painted in a very favorable light. Even her relationship with her boyfriend seems to be in good taste. Though there were a few "make-out" scenes, they weren't overly graphic and never led to more than kissing.

At times, the book certainly keeps you turning page after page, but it lacks momentum in other places. Great work for a beginning author, but not the best Young Adult fiction I've ever read.

I enjoyed this book for the most part but the ending felt slightly rushed and incomplete. If the author is looking to make it a series it may eventually be okay but as a stand alone novel I felt the ending wasn't as good as the rest of the story.

I gave it a five star rating because this book was great! I liked how it kept your interest and never was boring. I would recommend this to anyone who like suspense, romance, or some deep heart-felt things.

This book is inspiring to teens everywhere about how everyone is going through their own personal struggle and how finding your way home isn't as important as the journey that you take to get there and the people that you meet along the way.

Review from my 13 year old: I like the character development of Rae (the main character) and the story is relatable for kids who find themselves in a new place. However, I think there's a bit too much drama and arguing going on -- and It doesn't give a good example to teens when it shows the main character always arguing with her mom, as if to say that to argue with one's parents is ok to do.

the book as a whole was a quick read. it is geared toward teenager girls who will identify with the high school kids in the book. I thought the book was a pretty good read, although it ended a bit oddly, too abrupt.

This is a book for Young Adults and it is a little predictable. It was a easy read and thought it was OK but not something I would have ever picked up at the store for myself. I thought this book was a little disappointing to me.
I think if are a young adult you might enjoy this one.

Nice little book. Quick and easy read. Good for all ages. I found this story to be a page turner! Even with the abrupt ending, the story was well told. Not an easy feat especially written in the first person context. Worth the few $ it costs.

I would recommend this book to people. The author possesses many skills and doesn't focus on irrelevant stuff so you are never bored. I chose a for star rating because some of the details in the book were not corresponding but I really like it.

But life has a way of finding us, anyway, and drawing us in. This is an excellent book for anybody twelve years or older. The author does a good job of presenting various perspectives, and keeping the reader on the edge of the chair.

I really enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend this book. Having been a new student many times, the situations Rae discussed rang so true to me. I don't believe I put it down the whole time I was reading it

Well, first off, this was GREAT! I felt like i was watching a movie as the words ran throughh my head. From Nick Dunstan to Allison... Man it was good. There were parts where I wanted to scream at Gina and there were parts where I wanted to take Rae's place when she was with Nick. I reccomend this quick read to EVERYONE!!! :D
