"I can see that you and I suffer the same affliction. We love death."

I was intrigued by the blurb right from the start, because it was really unique. I had no idea what to expect so I went in with an open mind. It was different and the writing style (second person POV/internal monologue) threw me off in the first quarter of the book. It took me some time getting used to it but that didn't take away my interest in the story.

The two main characters Kate and Jude are very different from one another but also share some similarities. First of all they are both killers (I have a strange obsession with them!). While Kate was very impulsive in her behavior, Jude was more calculated and didn't act before thinking things through. However, they both had a very unique upbringing and handled some things the same way. They definitely brought balance and some type of peace to each other. However it didn't all go according plan and there were some major obstacles they had to overcome. When they first met they recognized something in each other, they both felt a connection that they couldn't ignore. Their coming together was inevitable.

Water Under The Bridge can be labeled as a suspenseful book with romantic elements. I was dragged into this story from the start and was intrigued by what would happen to the characters. Like I mentioned before, I had no idea what to expect but was very satisfied with how the story developed and concluded. The characters were very interesting and I wanted to know more about them. There was one loose end that I wish was explained. But nonetheless, I enjoyed this book a lot and will be on the look out for similar type of books.

Keeps you guessing what's coming next. Just when you think these two psychopaths can't surprise you, they do. There are a few holes in the storyline, but your imagination takes over and fills them in.

This was, hands down, the best book I've read in about four years and I read between two and three each week! I fell a bit in love with both characters and found myself tingly and anxious towards the end. I love when a novel makes you forget to breathe. You hold your breath and your skin tingles as you read to the very last word. Read this!

I was very impressed with this book. It keeps you engaged from the very beginning to the very end. Without giving anything away, you find yourself empathizing for the characters, even though they're not the best of people. Definitely has a Gone Girl feel, but I think it's even better and can see this as a motion picture. You won't regret reading this!

This is my first time reading this author and I really liked the anti hero theme. These characters are not perfect by any means of the word. Careful or you might find your sense of morality is blurring with this one.

I think Water Under The Bridge may just be Britney King's best work to date. Water Under The Bridge is written from dual points of view (Jude and Kate) but it's also written in a style that I haven't read much, if ever, where Jude and Kate go back and re-tell what happened as they recall it and as if they are speaking to the other. Britney once again does a great job of making you feel like you know the characters and like you are right there with them. She kept me very engrossed in Jude and Kate's story and let me tell you, the last 20% will keep you up way past your bed time because you won't be able to put it down, as you MUST know what happens next!

I would highly recommend this book to anybody who is looking for a great read or "something different" from their normal or needs some page turning excitement in their life. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I was never so engrossed by and ending! Jude and Kate are sick people but totally believable. I just want to find out if Kate kills Anne later! The twist of the therapist bought it all together – WELL DONE!

Rarely do I put a book down and not read it. This was one of the times I did and did so as quickly as possible. I read through several pages and frankly hated the way it was written. I skipped ahead to other chapters and it was the same format. It was wordy and boring. Not even worth the time to download it. My recommendation is don't bother with it.

Water Under The Bridge
by Britney King
Main Characters: Jude & Kate

4 1/2 out of 5 stars

Bought this book and boy was it different for me. This is the 1st book I have read that was written in the 2nd person POV. I did have to ask Britney about the way the story was written and It took me a little time to get used to it but I did get used to it. This is a Psychological Thriller and very dark content. I did not care for Kate's character very much and of course Jude was not much better but that is part of what the book is all about. It so reminded me of a movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that that is who I kept picturing. This book is a contemporary book and part of a 3 book series. Be prepared for a dark book but so well written. Very nice job by Britney King.

First I have to say that it's rare that I won't finish a book, but I didn't finish this one. I pushed myself to get as far as chapter eight, but I couldn't go any further. It's simply an awful story about even more awful people. It's not suspenseful, it's merely sick.
Even if it had a decent storyline, which clearly it didnt, there was too much monotonous dribble.

I'm so glade I decided to pick up this book. It's a great story about a couple trying to survive a life together and maybe settle down in a nice neighborhood with a family. The kinds of things every couple wants. To bad they're not like other couples. When the husband is a paid Hitman and the wife is a serial killer, marital problems get a little more complicated. I loved the two main characters and their POVs. I also loved the way it was written. I guess it would be called second person? I'm not sure. It's like they're talking to each other. It reminds me of the way the book YOU is written. If you are a fan of books like that or other of these type thrillers I think you'd really love this. I really did love this book. I read it in a few hours. I couldn't put it down. A most read.:)

I stumbled onto this book. I am so happy that I did.
Ms. King brings a completely new approach to the telling of a remarkable story. Initially, I was not sure about the alternating first person narratives...but as I became accustomed to this style, I found it to be very effective.
I am eager to begin reading the next book in the series, which I have just purchased.
An excellently written book.

Water under the bridge is a story about the dysfunction interpersonal relationship between two sociopaths. Through the key characters’ perspectives—Jude and Kate—the reader follows the couple’s unorthodox life journey. The issue is that the voice of the two characters is identical. This may have been a literary device to show antisocial personality disorder similarities, but there is a monochromatic tone to the novel. Although the author tells the reader “secrets” through the character’s perspective, details are hidden. By withholding facts in an obvious way, the lack of motivation creates random behavior that the first-person POV style can’t support. This is a trilogy and the open ending is expected, but elements of the plot require closure in order to propel the story forward. The dangling and dropped plotlines are frustrating. Act III feels rushed and disjointed. Reviews on Yelp are the sudden explanation for the couple identifying a professional predator, which borders on ridiculous.

At times, the interactions and mutual obsession of these two characters are oddly alluring. At times, there is an unapologetic honesty to the genuine lack of depth that antisocial personality’s exhibit. But without secondary and tertiary characters propping up the main characters, the result is lackluster. The concept of Water Under the Bridge had potential. Sadly, the structure, execution, and unresolved plot points fall flat.

I love the cover for Water Under The Bridge by Britney King. She designed it herself. It looks like it could be for a paranormal/supernatural novel, but this is so much better. We have not one, but two serial killers!!! And one is female!!! The is a love story like none I have ever read before.

Each chapter starts with a sketch and I like to try and figure out what it’s telling me.

The beginning is tantalizing, teasing me, making me have to know how we got to this point.

“Maybe you would be better off dead and I can’t help but wonder if I have it in me.”

What do you think of that?

Kate wants a divorce. She likes to be in control, but so does he. The judge says six months of counseling. Can you imagine a judge telling two serial killers they have to go to counseling? And then the counselor telling them to write a letter before their next appointment. What do you think would be in the letter? His is titled:

Water Under The Bridge

When they first meet, he never could have anticipated what the future held for them. It made me think of a Criminal Minds episode, you know, when two like minded individuals encounter each other and immediately know WHAT they are, and it ain’t normal.

I am so hooked, from the very beginning, devouring the words, knowing at 11% that I won’t be able to stop until it’s over.

I can’t say much about the story or the characters because it will give away too much of this deliciously evil and wicked story. The characters are so complex, so outside the norm, so twisted. We know they are both serial killers, so to think they can have a normal life is…well…difficult to imagine. Marriage? Children? Can sociopaths love?

Til death us do part may mean an entirely different thing to them.

I had wondered about their first meeting and what would be the outcome. The clues were there for me to figure out from the beginning, but this was a new twist I didn’t anticipate so I missed it. Nice one Britney. I love when an author makes me question my assumptions and Britney does, from the opening pages.

Britney King’s writing is fabulous, creating tension and suspense, the pacing whetting my sense of anticipation. One thing after another after another. I gotta know. I gotta know what comes next.

I find myself falling for these terribly flawed human beings and using the word flawed is putting it mildly! I want a happy ever after for these cold blooded killers.

There are so many wonderful surprises hidden between ‘the pages’ of this awesome, heartpounding, thrill ride. So…you better hold on tight

The ending…how marvelous. I am shocked, left with my mouth hanging open and lovin’ every minute of it. I know an author has come up with some great ideas when I am left feeling lost without more to read. But wait…

Water Under The Bridge by Britney King started out as a solo novel. Now, it will be a trilogy, but each book can stand alone. I am so happy.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Water Under The Bridge from Britney King.

Such a unique story - I have read this author before so I know she has a very different style of writing - if you are new to her it may take a bit to flow BUT if you are used to it you can appreciate the uniqueness right away. We have a dual POV but more so a dual POV letter writing back and forth !! Is there a name for this style ?? Who knows , maybe this author made it up !! Who cares - it works with this story because really this is anything but simple and easy.

A contract killer and a serial killer meet at a bar....
NO FOR REAL - this is our story !!

Why they meet up , how they know one another may be a mystery at first BUT those twists may just blow your mind !! It seems as if Jude has been watching Kate , for how long ?? He has learned of her habits , watched her change her persona and is now making his move to come face to face with this woman he has become a bit obsessed with. Kate may not kill to get paid but sometimes it does pay off !! She knows what she is doing and as we meet her present day she is into some dating profiles and looking to find a man to settle down with. Being that she is a serial killer we cannot be sure how this will work out and what will go on between her and Jude !! They have an immediate connection , they share so much more in common than they know , at the same time they keep many secrets. Is this new found relationship toxic or can it work ?? Join this crazy twisted ride with them and see how they come together , fulfill their desires and attempt to have a normal life !! There is drama , there is heartache and there are a few periods of time that seemed out of character BUT I honestly couldn't put this book down despite the fact that my head was spinning and I just couldn't figure these two out !! It was exciting and steamy , there was even a bit of romance !! Just because Jude and Kate are killers doesn't mean they can't love !!

3.5 Stars. Read on behalf of A Book Lovers Emporium Book Blog.
The blurb on this had me really, really excited that I was in for a total mind bender. The concept of the storyline is spot on, but unfortunately this fell a little short for me. This is definitely considered a suspense novel, and there are some dark topics in here but they are not written in the gory detail that would turn a reader off from the story. I think I expected this to be a book that sucked me in, left me unable to walk away from the kindle, and it just didn’t happen. It really didn’t hold my attention thoroughly until about halfway through. I started out full of anticipation, but ended up getting to the point where I was really just waiting for that point in the book where I went “WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!” and it just didn’t come, at least not until closer to the end when I starting thinking that the twists and turns were pretty clever.

The authors writing style in this book was unique in that it was a mix of a first person, dual POV and inner monologue. It was a way of telling the story of two characters and not only what they went through, but what they were thinking and feeling throughout. Generally I enjoyed it, but at times I just wanted to move along with the story rather than reading about what Jude or Kate, the main characters, were thinking. Even though we were supposed to be in their heads, I felt like I couldn’t connect with them, like there wasn’t a background where I felt that bond with their history and their story.

This book is a true standalone, and although the ending was abrupt, it provided a conclusion to the plot. No cliffhanger or anything, so for those looking for a suspense story with a unique style of writing, you may find that you really enjoy this book.

Jude and Kate are a fictional first for me. Kate is a serial killer...but then so is Jude. Serial killers have their similarities but they also have their differences, as is the case for Jude and Kate. They kill for different reasons and their methods vary, yet they're tied together by the need to do what they do. There's a purpose behind their actions, something that motivates them. When these two find one another, there's this unique feeling of creepiness and kismet, as if they were always meant to be together. And that's the thing: they fit in a way that would be impossible had one ended up with someone else. These two are tethered from the very beginning, and they bring out each other's best and worst. Apart, these two were unstoppable; together, they became invincible...and I couldn't help but root for them in Water Under the Bridge. Weird? Yes. Worth reading? Hell, yes. Five stars. ♥

What a trippy story!!! Everything about this story was unusual and different. The main characters Kate and Jude kill people (Jude does it for a living and I think Kate does it for fun). Not only is this storyline unique and different but it’s written in a point of view that had me scratching my head (but in a good way). This book was written in a point of view that you don’t see very often and after Googling POV’s I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it’s written in the second person’s point of view – it was just written in a style that you don’t see very often. I also found myself thinking that there was a bit of a Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibe to this story. Overall, I really liked this book, the writing was fantastic and I was impressed with the way this author tells a story. Heads up that this is the first book of a trilogy but doesn’t end in a cliffy!

Be prepared to be chilled to the bone with Britney King's Water Under the Bridge. This story is down right insanity and will leave your mouth agape at times with their every day "occurrences".

It's a story of a hit man, Jude, and a serial killer, Lydia, and how they fall in love and live in the real world. This story was bizarre and twisted and completely startling. The games they play not only with the outside world but with each other is something of another dimension. It's a constant struggle for power as each one loves but doesn't trust each other completely and probably never will. So how does a marriage survive on these terms? With these stakes and these secrets in the normal suburban life? Only one can tell...

The story line was thrilling and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was constantly turning these pages waiting for one of these loose cannons to drop the bomb. Jude kills for a living and Lydia kills for fun and to make a point. It's written, however, in second person and although it's not my favorite way to read a book, I think this is probably the only way to read this story.

I'm very curious to see where this story goes so Im stoked for "Dead In the Water" and to see how it turns out but Water Under the Bridge is a good way to start!

Water Under The Bridge: A Chilling Romantic Suspense by Britney King is the first book in The Water Trilogy.
Meet Jude and Kate. Both are to be divorced, but the judge orders them to 6 month counseling.
And so it begins.
Water Under The Bridge is told in a dual POV.
Both have secrets, and boy what secrets that are. They are psycho killers.
The story tells the highs and lows of their relationship and their twisted lovestory.
The story jumps between before and after. What before and after are? Read and find out. This book has it all, drama, murder, violence and love.

This book drew me in, from the beautiful cover to the interesting description. I just knew I had to read it. And the surprises didn't stop there. I can't remember the last time I read a book in 2nd person POV but this one is done so well I was captivated by Jude's and Kate's stories and points of view about their relationship. We get to read about what they think about themselves, about each other and about others. The suspense is fantastic and we get swept up in their obsessions. I don't think I took a breath until I came to the end.
Easy book to recommend if you enjoy psychological thrillers or romantic suspense.

I am a great fan of this author and her books. I read a lot but Bedrock has always stayed with me. It's one book I want to delete from my mind and read again for the first time. I want all those feels again. As soon as I heard she had another book I knew I needed it in my life. I just didn't realise how much I was going to love it.

Kate and Jude are two psychotic killers. This story is told through both of their points of view through inner monologues. For me this took a bit to get used to but once I got stuck in I couldn't think of a better way to read it.

Well I'll apologise for my vague review. When I read this the first time I tried to write a review and I came up with nothing so I do what I rarely do and jumped back in to re read it. As much as I loved the book the re read didn't help with my review as I really don't want to spoil it for anyone. So what I will say is if your looking for a crazy rollercoaster that will have you wondering what you've read then this is the story for you.
I've read lots of dark reads so I wouldn't say this is very dark. However it ain't a sweet romance either. Amazingly great read. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

What a fascinating story! I was intrigued when I read the synopsis of this book and thought it could be pretty interesting, but I wasn't prepared for what I found between the pages. Water Under the Bridge is like Dexter x2 with romance. I was pulled in immediately and loved the writing style and back and forth between the characters.

Kate and Jude are extremely unique characters. They are both serial killers attempting to find their place in the world among all of the bodies that they leave behind. Jude is a little more stable than Kate, who is messy and unstable. Each of the character's personalities leave you wondering what trouble they will get into next.

I loved the atmosphere King created in Water Under the Bridge. I was constantly attempting to guess how the story would end and I wasn't even close! There were a few slow spots and pretty unbelievable scenarios, but for the most part I really enjoyed the story. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy psych thrillers. Check it out!

Wow so this was one twisted story! But, I loved it as well and can't wait to read the next book in the series. Jude is essentially a hit man, he get's paid to kill people. But remember, it's people that deserve it he says. Kate is also a murderer to those she feels deserves it. Jude has been hired to bring her in, but what he doesn't expect is to fall in love with her. Can the two of them, with all of their secrets make a relationship last? Or will one eventually want to kill the other? In a twisted way because after all, this is just a story, I really enjoyed watching both Jude and Kate have the highs and lows in their relationship.

This was somewhat different from anything I've ever read before, a crazy story and a very different writing style.

This is the first I've read from this author and I initially had my doubts - as it took me a little while to get to grips with this authors style of writing, although I'm still not too sure if it's her style or the way the story is portrayed/told from the thoughts and views of deranged psychopaths.

Kate & Jude, where do I start? Kate kills whenever it suits her. Jude kills for money and is much more meticulous, planned and thought out.

The story itself is intriguing, captivating and kept me needing to know more throughout the book. I'm looking forward to getting started on the next book in this series.

Britney's characters are complicated. They neither Jude nor Kate are particularly easy to like and yet have special qualities that make them memorable. This is a dark romance that once you begin it you won't want to put it down. And after you finish reading it, you won't forget it. This is just the first book in this trilogy. Wow! Now I'm can't wait to go on to read the next 2 books in this series where we the readers will learn still more about these twisted yet lovable in their own strange way characters. It's a great read! Check it out.

I am so so disappointed in this book after having trouble getting a correct link to download the book. I have never read a book in 2nd person point of view with the character telling another character what she was doing, right or wrong, and how he could help her. Then it switched to 1st person point of view showing how the other character treats her dates. I also gave a low score due to the foul language and could not get past chapter 4. I won't be reading other books by this author.

It was crazy! The author put two psychotic killers together.
Jude was hire to kill and he always got the job done but for one that was Kate. Kate's was different. she heard voices to kill the bad people and becomes different person. After awhile they get married. Then have problems and kids but they picked and pieced everything back together in their crazy world.
At first it was hard to follow but after you get pasted the first couple of chapter's it pulls you right in.

I received a copy for an honest review (MNP)

Water Under The Bridge is a book like none that I have read. The blurb is what first caught my attention, I love Dark genre books, so this one looked right up my alley! The writing style took me by surprise. I did find myself none the less turning the pages all the way to the end! It took time to get use to the Monologue POV style writing, I wasn't too sure I was going to be able to finish it, but honestly I couldn't not see where this book was going to take me. It was dark, gritty, and suspenseful! It keeps you guessing, and was a fast read. If you like Britney King I would pick this one up. Its different, and will surprise you.

Wow…this is the first book I have read by this author but it definitely will not be the last!

Water Under the Bridge was a little hard for me to get into at the beginning due to its unique writing style, second person dual POV with internal monologue (thanks Betul for helping me describe this), but once I got used to it…boy did the characters and story suck me in!!! To the point I was up till 4:00 a.m. finishing it.

Written to not be read as a standalone even though one can definitely choose to do so if they are okay with not having all their questions answered, Britney King does an amazing job intertwining this story with characters not only in her Bedrock Trilogy but also several of her other books. This now has me itching to go read them all to help piece together some of the missing background elements I so badly want to further understand.

Great news for those like me who get sucked in to this dark, mysterious (some might even say romantic) web filled with so many unexpected twists and turns, I have firsthand insight that there is more to come and I for one am chomping at the bits to get my hands on the next book!

Water Under the Bridge is uniquely written in dual POVs and letter like. It took a while for me to get into the writing style but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kate and Jude are both killers but have completely different styles were Kate is driven by compulsion, Jude is calculated. The story is suspenseful and keeps you in your toes thinking about what happens next or could happen. I thought I knew what I was getting into but I had no idea!

Water Under the Bridge - Britney King

Britney King Does NOT fail to impress.
I am voluntarily reviewing an arc.
I found myself very intrigued the love story of Kate and Jude. Their whole relationship..HOLY MOTHER!!
Talk about Psychotic and deranged!..
There are so many twists and turns of this seemingly "normal" couple.
I never knew what to expect from one chapter to the next.
I enjoyed the second person pov that was Kate and Jude.
I found very realistic. I can see this as a series on ID tv. Wow..
I enjoyed the book. I think anyone who likes Mysteries and crime would like. There is suspense and mystery.
I can't wait to read more books by Britney King.
Highly recomend

OK, let me start by saying that I really struggled with the style of writing within this book. This was the first time I have read a novel written in 1st person and I really couldn’t do it. I mean have read and reviewed over 300 books in the past year and I have only given less than 3 or lower stars a couple of times. Unfortunately, this is going to be a low review.

So I enjoyed the actual story, but I could not tell who was talking 90% of the time. I really struggled to follow what was happening. While I did enjoy the story and liked the plot, the style was just not something I could really get into. I would recommend reading the sample provided to ensure the style is something that you can enjoy. It has nothing to do with the dark subject matter as that is my favorite genre. If you are able to follow the story and which POV is going on, you will likely enjoy the book.

Hero 3 Stars / Heroine 3 stars / Steam 2 stars / Plot 4 stars / Overall 3 Stars
Keys: Dual POV, MF, Intense, Slow, Hard to Follow.

I had a very hard time following this book. It switched from Jude to Kate in eaxh chapter. Kate was a murderer that killed not so innocent people. Jude was a hired man to take down Kate. His feelings got caught up in her though. I felt like Kate had some type of personality disorder. This book followed their relationship with each other and the situations that came up. They really are perfect for eachother. They are both twisted in their own ways and will do anything for one another. Even murder. - Mandi

I received for an honest review and loved it I thought it was so very amazing. It hooked me from page one and never let go. I love a story that just grabs me and I cant put it down to do anything. The story of Jude and Kate puts you on the edge of your seat turning the pages as fast as you can just waiting too see what is going to happen next. You feel like you are in the story and the characters are like real life with the events that happen in their life I so very highly recommend it!!

I was given this book for an honest review...
This was my first Britney King book. I have to say I enjoyed it. It took a few chapters for me to get used to her style of writing. Once that passed I loved it.
Kate and Jude were made for each other! They were both a little out there but none the less came together and really complimented each other. The twists and turns will have your head spinning. I am glad there is going to be more of Jude and Kate.
Thanks

Absolutely enthralling. The writing style drew me in from the moment I picked the book up and I simply couldn’t put it down. I love how this story deals with such complex ground and issues that, in theory, should be against our moral codes. But morality is such a huge concept and it can vary so much from one case to another. It’s obvious from the start that neither Kate nor Jude are exactly the sort of people we’re used to dealing with in everyday life. They both have childhoods that have scarred them in ways most of us can’t begin to imagine and their lifestyles are outside of the norm for sure. What I love most, though, is the way that they understand each other even when people on the outside wouldn’t.

I’m not saying that I support murder because I definitely don’t. But this novel lets you really get into the heads of two people who do see that as an option. The author does an incredible job of explaining their thought processes. In fact, there were times when one or both of them thought something through so thoroughly that I could almost believe that murder was the best option, that they were enacting some sort of vigilante justice in their own way and actually doing society a favor. That makes this both an incredibly interesting story and one that is relatively creepy. Understanding the motivations of such characters so thoroughly can definitely be psychologically chilling. But it’s chilling in a way that I can’t help but love.

My only disappointment was in reaching the end of this one. I want so much more! I know there’s a sequel coming out and I definitely plan to read and review that one, so stay tuned for that! I’d really love to know more about the Jude and Kate’s histories, though. Psychological development is incredibly interesting to me and, while I recognize that they both endured traumatic events as childhood and I’ve connected some dots to cover the holes in what I know about their past lives, I really do want to know more!

This book is written in a dual point of view but written as if the characters are retelling the story to each other. It was really intriguing and different. The author does a good job of keeping you interested and guessing as to what is going to happen as well and making the characters very well developed and well written. You feel like you really know them. Everything about this story is unusual in a good way. The last 25% or so...enthralling. I couldn't put it down! Britney King is def one of my new go to authors!!!

This author's unique and creative writing style took me a few chapters to get use to it and in to it as it is narrated in first person but once I fell in there, I was completely held captive by the story line and the characters. This is not your typical, everyday romance, and this was honestly an intriguing and thrilling read.

WOW! I was really impressed by the narration of the story. It was different. Good different.
I also liked the characters. Their past, their demeanor, their gritty love for each other, everything was well thought of and fit.

Overall, the story was simple but, the incidents were nothing short of Brilliant. Creative and SO gripping!

There were points where the story lagged and (for me) picked up only after about 60% (after which I just had to finish it in one sitting.)
The end was abrupt. Amazing in terms of plot twist, but abrupt. Which makes it a PERFECT STANDALONE.

This book is dual points of view from Jude and Kate. Kate is a killer and Jude is a killer but is hired to hunt down Kate and bring her in, instead he falls in love with her. You are hooked from the first words until the very end. It was interesting to see their different points of view on their relationship. The characters are well written and the story flows together nicely. Can't wait to read more from this author.

This book was a little different than what I'm used to in regards to POV. The story was interesting, The POV between these 2 characters was occasionally confusing but still kept me intrigued. There was a part in the story I wasn't expecting, and it made it that much more put together. This book was my first by this author, and I am very interested in book 2 to see where the author takes this story.

Water Under The Bridge is definitely a different book than most. It's suspenseful and dark. We get into the minds of psychopaths, literally. There isn't much dialog between Jude and Kate, we're in their head, and I really liked that concept. We get to know them on levels we don't get with other characters and books. It's an interweaving story, never know what's going to happen. It was brilliant!

This was described as a chilling psychological thriller, Well, one out of three ain't bad. There were few chills or thrills as far as I was concerned. The writing style is off- beat and quirky; and that certainly doesn't make for an easy read. I won't be tempted into the water for the rest of the trilogy.

I fell in love with this book. When I first started reading I just thought, "Wow this is twisted..." and I wasn't sure what I would think about it. The more I read though, the more I realized that it wasn't just some psychotic woman and some warped man doing all these crazy things. It actually has a great love story buried beneath all these insane events, and it kept me captivated the entire time. I don't think as badly of "Kate" and Jude as I probably should, and I was happy for their ending. I also enjoyed that they didn't give up on each other. Yes there were a lot of "omg, these people are nuts..." but still a great read!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book! I found the format to be very refreshing and original, giving both points of view in a growing relationship between two murderers. The characters are likeable people meting out justice to villains, but can their passion for each other survive their murdering habits? Britney King's books are new to me, but I will certainly be reading her other titles in the future, and recommending them to my friends.

I swear this book… I had no idea what I was reading through half the book! It was such a different book. Everything about this book is just different. We look into two different people… male and female… they both like and watch each other from afar. But these two people are different than what society terms “normal”. These people are murderers who long for love.

Again, this was such a differently written book that I did have to often check who I was reading. The book is set up as dual POV. Their voices are so similar though that I went back and forth a bit. I read to broaden my horizons though and to find art in the written word. This book is totally an art form! Unique and special! I was happy to see that this is just the start to a series or trilogy… but we’ll get more!

For as different as this book was, I found it utterly fascinating! I can’t say I devoured the words as I had to go back and check things out a few times as I got lost. I liked the characters but they were a bit hard to relate to even though they both faced some pretty normal occurrences these days… mental abuse, drugs, and control… There was also some stuff not so normal… I mean two serial killers IN LOVE! How so very different! So, do I recommend this book…? I think it depends on why you read. This isn’t an escape book… you need to be fully aware in this book. It’s good… different but good. I’ll read the others.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
