I love this book! I love Lynsay Sands and all her Argeneau novels are wonderful. Sexy, funny, and always with heart and soul. If you need to slip away from this world for a while, read this book and all of her others. A big hit with me!

She has done it again. This is another book that makes me laugh out loud. I can't do better than that even though I'm not into as much sex as she is. I loved this book and will read it again as well as most of her other books that I own.

Tall, Dark & Hungry is another satisfying, hysterical, sexy vampire tale.
Bastien Argeneau has always been the dependable one, the got to guy, the mister fix the problems. So it was no shock that his soon to be sister in law asks that her cousin and maid of honor be put up in his home. Bastien was not expecting in all his four hundred plus years to be falling in love. Terri is a breath of fresh air, which was missing in his life.
Terri Simpson arrived early to help with her cousin Kate Leever to Lucern Argeneau. She moves into Bastien's penthouse and is surprised to find herself enjoying her host company. Bastien is a caring, thoughtful, sexy man.
As Bastien and Terri are thrown into last minute wedding preparations when Kate and Luc are called out of town, they become closer and realize how much they care. But Bastien has one little vampire secret that could change it all.
Lynsay Sands has written another fantastic book in her vampire family. The family dynamics are hysterical. The passion between Terri and Kate is so steamy and so tender.
I hope we get to see more of the wonderful family.

I like how she links what happened in single white vampire to this one. And how she links all of her books together so you know what is going on with the people you read about in otther books and it helps to read them in order to get an idea of what happened before.

Lyndsay gives us another member of the Argeneau family to find a lifemate. Her story keeps you looking forward to the next story and family member finding love. I enjoy the series building on itself, but can stand alone too.

Fall, Dark, & Hungry by Lynsay Sands is the fourth adventure in this exciting series. The vampires are amazing. Bastien is the one everyone goes to. Especially, when they have problems or need more bags of blood. Bastien's brother is getting married and he's starting to feel a bit lonely. Then, his brother forces him to tackle wedding stuff along with maid of honor. Bastien won't know what hit him, once she enters into his life. I laughed so hard and fell just as hard for these incredible life-like characters. The plot had me hooked from the beginning. I can't wait to read the next sexy installment. Overall, I recommend this vampire novel to all.
I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

Not even a catastrophe can stop this Argeneau wedding!
Bastien is the go to guy. He's the head of the family practically and runs the family business. His life is all about work and ensuring his family has everything they need. He runs on schedules and calm. But this wedding planning business is throwing Bastien's normal calm life for a tailspin. To make matters worse, the maid of honor may be his life.
Terri flew from England to New York to help her cousin with the last minute details for the wedding. Instead she's left with Bastien and the accident prone CK. Fate seems determined for this wedding to have as many problems as possible. If it isn't the flowers, it's the caterer, if it's not the catering they are at the hospital with CK latest accident.
Between all the mishaps Bastien still takes the time to wine and dine Terri in the hopes of convincing her to stay with him for eternity.
I absolutely love Bastien! He is such a softy and would do whatever necessary for those he loves. He's always there to lend a helping hand. He envious his brothers and sister's latest happiness found with their mates. All he wants is someone to belong to and someone to love him for eternity.

Terri had flown from England to help plan her cousin's wedding, but paying for a New York hotel room was like giving blood! She had an alternative: the new in-laws were offering lodging.Of course, the Argeneaus were a certifiably odd bunch. There was the sometimes chipper, sometimes brooding Lucern—a "vampire romance" writer. There was the wacky stage actor, Vincent. She couldn't imagine Broadway casting a more ravenous singing-and-dancing Dracula. And then there was Bastien. Of this unique cast of characters, he seemed the tallest, darkest and hungriest—and his effect on Terri was decidedly delicious. Just looking into his eyes made her want to serve up her innocence on a silver platter. And she had a feeling the love feast was about to begin
I was somewhat disappointed in Bastien's story. It was one I was looking forward to reading since I started reading the series. While it was sweet, it felt somewhat tame and almost more about the other members of the family than it was about him and Terri. Don't get me wrong, I like the whole odd ball unique family, but it just felt like it was missing something.
The wedding planning mishaps were funny and the mishaps just kept coming. Things really did keep Bastien and Terri busy trying to fix them and they did work well together. The ones getting married, Kate and Lucern were precious little help since they were handling their own crises. They were so crazy in love that they had eyes for each other only, which added to the troubles. One of those troubles was a man named, C.K. He wasn't evil, but if there was an accident about to happen, he was usually in the middle of it. Kate works with him and when he had an accident, he just HAD to help him out; which made it Bastien's problem as well. You'll have to read the book to see how that came about. Just let me say that C.K.'s mishaps go with the wedding planning mishaps, so there is some humor as well. Even in the middle of all of this, Bastien does find some time to show Terri around town. And eventually his bedroom, to mention one place.

This is definitely my new favorite of the series. Something about the combination of the workaholic Bastien and the fun-loving Terri just made the best coupling so far.
Bastien was overdue for a mate. He watched as his family found love and didn't want any part in it. Of course, he finds his mate in the form of his reluctant houseguest during the final planning phase of Kate and Luc's wedding. What could go wrong, right? Poor Chris (Kate's coworker from the last book) was adorably cursed and had Bastien and Terri putting out some crisis or another. Couple that with Kate and Luc abandoning the rest of the wedding preparations to Bastien and Terri and you get to watch this power couple in action. Caterer goes bankrupt? Flowers unavailable? They manage to work through just about anything, other than their own baggage.
The sizzle in this book really balanced all the drama and mayhem nicely. It was a perfect blend of fun, humor, wit, and romance (with some naughtiness thrown in to keep it spicy!). This series is quickly becoming my guilty pleasure.

I loved the quirky Kate and grumpy Lucern from SWV, but his brother Bastien Argeneau is now my favorite character...he is a sexy, romantic vampire and his relationship with Terri is sweet, sensuous, and passionate.
Terri arrives in New York from England to act as maid of honor for her cousin and best friend, Kate. Terri arrives two week early and ends up stsaying at Bastien's luxury penthouse. Terri has no idea the Argeneau's are vampires and when Bastien arrives at the penthouse with Terri, he finds his cousin Vincent feeding on his housekeeper and tries to hide this fact from Terri. Soon after, Kate arrives at the penthouse to drop off her injured and temporarily homeless boss, then takes off for a meeting in California in her boss' stead. Of course, havoc and craziness ensues.
Ever the responsible brother and gentleman, Bastien takes it upon himself to show Terri the town while her cousin is away and soon they realize how much they like each other. Their romance Terri and Bastien evolves slowly, sweetly, and tenderly.
Cousin Vincent, the misunderstood actor/vampire who has to feed the old school way, is absolutely hysterical and I can't wait to read his book.
The book's plotline is very well integrated with characters who are amusing, intelligent, and sweet. I found myself laughing out loud and was thouroughly entertained while reading. This Argeneau family series is fast becoming an addictive pleasure.

If you're looking for a Para-romance/comedy with a great family then you'll enjoy this series: ("A Quick Bite" (read them in this order), "Love Bites", "Single White Vampire", & "Tall, Dark and Hungry"). I did have to remind myself to stop comparing these stories to the more maudlin Vamp books by authors like Christine Feehan or Sherrilyn Kenyon whom have both created such awesome worlds, and whose books are full of action and suspense. When I read a "Vampire" book I'm used to expecting magic and suspense, shape shifting, "Evil" bad guys, etc. But while these stories are just about relationship development, it's a refreshing change. I just love this family! Yes, there was a comical vampire hunter in Love Bites but as far as vampirism; she takes a more comical route, which is fun and different. They preferred bagged blood as opposed to biting (which they considered "out of fashion" unless it was an emergency), which for me did seem to take a bit of the intimacy out of it. But it works, because there's just enough "nibbling" between just the right people. These heroes's were also not very "Alpha" men, as some would expect from this type of book. Greg was a psychologist, Etienne was a video game inventor, Lucern was an author, and Bastien was a businessman. There were only three instances where Greg, Etienne and then Lucern were put in "dangerous" positions where they encountered a vampire hunter (which was more comical than anything else). In "Tall, Dark and Hungry" there was absolutely nothing. But, like I said, these stories are not to be missed, all of the characters were great, and I'm really looking forward to the upcoming secondary characters stories, hopefully Thomas will be next, he's such a "Charmer!"

First I want to say that I enjoy these books. However, one of my biggest gripes is it is the same story every time. I mean, the exact same story. The only thing that changes is the circumstances by which the characters meet, and the characters that are involved. Vampire meets girl. Vampire feels strongly for girl but doesn't want to admit it. Girl doesn't want to like vampire. Vampire and girl get it on. Girl freaks out and runs away. Aunt jumps in and gets girl to come back. Everyone lives happily ever after. Don't get me wrong, it works...mostly. But I have to admit that I find myself rolling my eyes as I see repeated story sequences. Honestly, the first one with Lissianna was the only one that was remotely different. I'll give one more book a try, but I have to say, I'm starting to get serious feelings of deja vu everytime I read one of these books....
Another quick comment, I'm not really sure why Vincent and Chris (CK or CC) were in this book. Vincent may have been in the book to set up her next book. I had a serious premonition that the next book is Vincent finding love next. Hmmm.... But Chris leaves me completely baffled.

I've said it before, I'm a reading snob and love intense beautifully written books, sagas..my ereader has opened up whole new worlds for me - so along with my treasured books, I can carry around all of Lynsay's Argeneau series which is fun. In some books, her character development and conveying what they are thinking could be done a bit more fully - love her vampire lore, to me it's plausible, LOVE BASTIAN and TERRI in this one! She really worked on this (character development, inner thoughts) and I would put it in my top 5 (along with The Rogue Hunter and The Accidental Vampire)...still reading her books so stay tuned! My only critique is that the books could be a little longer and that the characters/couples could overlap and have more presence in each book.. it is a series after all and the characters are related, but never stick around very long - I like alot of these couples and could easily stand to have them around in various books and in on the story a bit more...Other than that love these books! Hope they NEVER STOP

Beautiful college professor Terri Simpson comes to New York for two weeks to help her best friend (and cousin) get ready for her wedding. She's expecting late nights giggling, last minute shopping, and maybe a bit of mild flirtation with the sexy groomsmen. But her cousin has other ideas--not wanting to be separated from her fiance, she puts Terri up with the groom's brother--Bastien. And Terri can't help notice the chemistry that flows between the sexy male and herself. But Bastien seems to have an alergy to sunlight and a strange proclivity to keep bags of blood around the house. It would be one thing if it was his cousin, Vincent, who is playing a vampire in a campy off-Broadway production, but Bastien? Worse, Terri has already lost one husband to a terrible disease and she's promised herself that she will never put herself in that position again.
After a few hundred years, Bastien thought he had seen everything. He'd had the one great love of his life--a human woman who rejected him when she learned he was a vampire. Now, he concentrates on his business--and he's very good at it. Of course, boredom has set in and he doesn't even bother eating any more as food has lost its appeal, but that's a small price to pay for eternal life. Terri walks into his life and suddenly he's noticing food, noticing sexual desire, wanting to do anything but go to work. He's learned one lesson, though. Human girls turn away quickly when they learn his secret.
When the bride is called out of town and the wedding plans turn to disaster, Bastien and Terri need to work together to solve each crisis, quickly transforming simple desire into something that feels like love. Still, each of them has been burned in the past--and see themselves about to make the same mistake. Can the two overcome their fears to find love?
Author Lynsay Sands makes vampires sexy but safe in this paranormal romantic comedy. Romance readers in the know will get a kick of the way Sands works her editor (Chris K) and Romantic Times publisher Katherine Falk into her story. I would have liked to see more of twists--a payoff to the disasters in the wedding plans and a real kick in the romantic resolution, but TALL, DARK & HUNGRY will certainly appeal to vampire fans who like their males well tamed.

Proving for sure that one doesn't need vampire killers or killer vampires to make a good vampire book Lynsay Sands follow up the events of Single White Vampire in a way that will be a hit for anyone who was ever a fan of The Munsters or The Addams Family. The Argeneau is your typical family next door. They're just a vampire of vampires.
Coming to New York Terri has flown from England for her cousin's wedding where she stays with Bastien and wacky vampire actor Vincent in the penthouse. The wedding to be is like sometime you'd expect from 1950s comedy movie with Doris Day or Lucille Ball as events unfold just as busted pipes wreaking some of the wedding decorations, the chef getting food posioning and having to be replace and Terri and Bastien falling in love. Even a vamp whose good talking in a business meeting isn't always good with talking to the woman he loves and need more help than most to win over the woman of his dreams.

I really enjoyed reading Bastien and Terri's story again. Bastien Argeneau is the go-to guy for the family. Whenever there is a problem or something needs to be taken care of, he is the one that gets called. It has been that way since his father died. He has been extra busy since his brother, Lucern, found his life mate and started planning his wedding. Terri is the bride, Kate's, best friend and cousin and she is flying in from England two weeks early to surprise her and help with the wedding.
Staying in New York is not cheap so her cousin arranges for her to stay at Bastien's penthouse apartment. No sooner does she arrive, then Kate has to leave to fly out to a writer's conference due to an unfortunate incident with a toliet. Throw in a vampire playing Dracula, a curse on wedding plans and a vindictive bee and the laughs just don't stop.
Terri has hangs up on relationships and it was lovely to watch her fall so hard for Bastien. Take the time to meet the Argeneau family. I am sure you will love them as much as I do!

Loved it, loved it, loved it! It was great. Seeing Bastien fall it love and relax was great. Don't want to give the story away but Bastien is a real type A workaholic and watching him transform into someone who would blow a meeting to spend time with someone special was great. Vincent was a crackup. Poor misunderstood guy who has to get his blood the old fashioned way and gets yelled at for having a taste off the housekeeper and then the editor. Really great. Wish I could think of another word besides great but the book was great, it was funny, it made you laugh throughout the book. I really love Lynsay Sands style of writing. If you are a Sandra Hill fan and a lover of vampires you will love this book and this series. Like Sandra, Lynsay will have you laughing outloud while you read. To me that is important. I loved to be entertained while reading and to feel the full range of emotions while reading and I get that from Lynsay Sands books.

I stumbled across this in the bookstore and picked it up on a whim. I was not disappointed. I haven't read the previous books in this series, and while I had a few questions on some of the back story, it didn't diminish my enjoyment one bit.
If you like your vampires dark and serious, this is not the book for you. If you can laugh at "creatures of the night" ala Angel, Spike and Harmony Kendall...okay, more Harmony than the boys...then I would definitely recommend it.
This is romantic comedy, a little light in the plot department sometimes (the author seemed to be setting up something that ended up being one too many coincidences), but the dialogue is charming, the pacing good, and I felt satisfied with the ending. As a bonus, there's some good give and take between the heroine that is not as all mean-spirited as some books I've read recently.
I enjoyed it enough to look for the earlier books and I hope Ms. Sands will be giving us Lucien's story soon.

I wish I could give this one more than 5 stars, but I felt that way about all of the Argeneau books! These brothers are hot, hot, hot! Bastian and Terri's love scenes are remarkably tender and sexy! Terri's past makes it hard for her to open her heart to Bastian, as does his. Both have been wounded in the past either by betrayal (in Bastian's case) or death (in Terri's case) and it's made them a bit skittish to give their hearts away again and risk the pain of loss. I know that in a good romance, the characters have to overcome obstacles to their love but this obstacle seems to be so real. I can, luckily, only imagine losing a spouse or parent to death but it would make it very hard to allow anyone that close again. The fact that the characters love one another enough to try is what makes this a wonderful love story.
I recommend that you read all three books (in order)! They are all terrific and not to be missed - whether you are just a vampire fan or a romance fan! There's enough of both elements for any serious fan to enjoy!!

Bastien Argeneau is a vamp in the grumpy mold of his brother Lucern (Single White Vampire), and his lovely curmudgeon ways was going to be put to the test, with the upcoming wedding of Lucern and Kate. Too lovey-dovey wrapped up with themselves, small details of the upcoming ceremony are slipping by them. Like the arrival of Kate's cousin, Terri.
Bastien has been living in the penthouse over the Argeneau offices, quite happily alone since Lucern had moved in with Kate. But that solitude is about to come crashing down around him as the wedding approaches. First Kate pressed Bastien into picking up Terri at the airport, since the loving couple had other business. Bastien has no problem with that request. It's the second favor Kate asks of her brother-in-law to be that puts the crimp into his quiet lifestyle ¯ she needs him to put Terri up while she is in town for the wedding. Seeing no real problem putting her up for a day or two, Bastien agrees. Only after he commits to the arrangement, Kate informs him that Terri is coming earlier than the rest of her family - two weeks earlier! But it's too late to make other arrangements, because Terri is due at the airport within minutes!
Bastien has viewed the pending nuptials with mixed emotions: happiness for Lucern, disgust at their frequent public displays of being besotted and a wee dram of envy. Bastien is not about to voice this aloud fearing mommy dearest Marguerite will sharpen her matchmaking efforts. She has always insisted her children need to be mated with someone who brings the zest for living back and the Lissianne and Etienne married and Lucern well onto his way, her crosshairs has come upon Bastien and he is feeling her breath down his neck.
Bastien fears logistical problems in having Terri around for two weeks. How do you hide that you are a vampire from a woman living under the same roof for that long? It gets worse when his nephew Thomas shows up. A wannabe actor, he is preparing for a roll on Broadway playing ¯ what else ¯ a vampire! Terri is instantly charmed by Thomas who tries to lure her in helping him "rehearse". Bastien is distracted by the physical attraction to Terri, but his befuddlement is compounded by having to keep an eye on Thomas - a vamp of the old style who likes to keep his fangs sharp!
Matters grows worse as Kate's boss, Chris, has one accident after another and Kate ends up installing the editor in Bastien's apartment while his is being repaired. (Note for those loving an inside jest Chris is loosely based on Chris Keeslar, editor at Dorchester Publishing ¯ Lynsay's editor for the vamp series!). All in all, it's another delightful Argeneau romp that will delight readers of the series! In a bidding frenzy, Avon books bought the rights to the Argeneaus. Lissianna's tales in being finished with at least four more planned. So, long live the Argeneaus!

Okay this book was awesome! I really really liked this one.. It was hilarious, sweet, etc... I love the Argeneau series anyway. The 1st 3 books were great. This one was even better. The chemistry with Bastien and Terri was "off the chain" The love scenes were waaaay hotter than the 1st 3 books. But what I really loved about this one, and it was a surprising step in a new direction, was that there was no villian in this one to threaten the lead characters @ all! And it was still very interesting. It was just a story about your normal everyday life events surrounding a blossoming love and how our insecurities, family and friends influence our reactions and decisions sometimes. With the added delicious twist of vampires of course LOL! This one was a really good read though. I could not put it down. I highly recommend it.

This is my first novel by Lynsay Sands. I bought the unabridged version of Tall, Dark & Hungry read by Jeffrey Cummings and I thought that it was pretty good. I agree with some reviewers that it was probably a bit boring if you read the novel, but I listened to it and I believe that it made a difference. There was a lot of wit, mishaps and humor which really came through as Jeffrey cummings told the story. I think that if I had read the novel that it would have been slow moving for a while before it picks up and I might have just put the book down and not returned to it. There are some good sex scenes and I really liked Bastien's total sappy devotion and love for Terri. They make an interesting as well as funny couple. As suggested, I will try another book in the Argeneau series to see if it is better.

As preparations for Lucern and Kate's wedding gel, Kate's cousin Terri arrives two weeks early to help. As a favor to the happy couple, Bastien agrees to let her stay in his penthouse. He did not anticipate a number of things happening; his cousin Vincent showing up and biting mortals, including his own housekeeper, a toilet falling on Kate's associate, Chris, forcing her to go on his business trip, the caterer comitting suicide, or the big one, falling for Terri. Terri has her own baggage. After becoming a young widow, falling for a man with a medical condition does not appeal to her, but given the clues she has, IV poles, blood in the fridge, serum... and so on, it's a logical conclusion to make that Bastien's secret is illness. Which will win, head or heart?
**** A subtitle could be "A Series of Unfortunate Events", but that's taken. Yet, out of the porcelain shards comes a great romance and fun read. Here's hoping the d'Argenau family has many branches to explore. ****

Bastien Argeneau is getting very tired of his brother's wedding preparations. Much as he loves Lucien and his bride-to-be, Kate, their demands are really intruding on his calm, ordered life. Now things are about to get worse: Kate's cousin Terri is flying in from England for the wedding and she needs somewhere to stay. In Bastien's penthouse.
So not only does he have to listen to his brother spouting about love and weddings incessantly, he's going to have to put up with sharing his home for the next two weeks. That would be bad enough for anyone used to living on his own; but considering that Bastien is a vampire and needs to drink blood regularly in order to remain healthy, it's a recipe for disaster. Oh, not that he actually drinks from humans - these vampires have it all sorted. Owning their own private blood-bank helps.
This is the third in Sands' vampire series, following Lucien and Kate's story in Single White Vampire and Etienne and Rachel's in Love Bites. Unfortunately, it feels as if it were written by a completely different author. Tall, Dark and Hungry has none of the frothy humour of the first two books. Instead, it is boring, repetitive and flat. It was a real struggle to finish. There's no humour this time - there are attempts at it, but all so ponderous that none of them work. Instead, as another reviewer comments, we are treated to page after page of descriptions of things we really don't need to know. Information is supplied in a mundane, uninteresting manner. Trivial details are given the importance of earth-shattering events. The book was incredibly disappointing.
Even the minor characters were tedious; I liked Chris, Kate's fellow editor, in Single White Vampire, but in this book he's a whiny pain in the [...]. And yet Terri notes, by the time of the wedding, that he's a nice guy! Excuse me? He's been nothing but a nuisance to all of them, whining and moaning and accident-prone as hell, complaining about absolutely everything and getting up everyone's nose. And yet she says he's nice? Um... how? As for Vincent, the campy actor, he had his moments but overall I could have done without him.
And then the Big Misunderstanding... big yawn here.
Sorry, Ms Sands, but this book was a flop. If there is another book in your vampire series - and I would like to read Lissianna and Greg's story - please rediscover your earlier flair.

I read the first all books in a series so far. The prior to this one was hilarious, and though I was looking forward to the next one, I was afraid it was hard to best that one. Well, I was not disappointed - this book, though not better than the 3rd one, is great and a story line of Argeneau's family is continue. Looking forward to reading the next one.

I wanted to like this book. I like vampires, I like romance stories, I like protagonists that are goody goody with a hint of hidden secrets- but this....this was just awful. How to explain. Well first-this may have spoilers. So cover your eyes if that's not your thing. The author writes a story with very little vampire like attributes to it. In fact- the big reveal that he's a vampire to the leading lady happens at the end. And of course she freaks, and her cousin (married to a diff vampire) tells her to think of it like a medical condition. Ooooh sexxy-, medical conditioned vampirism. Ugh. Every thought, every reasoning behind the thought, every sub reasoning thought is listed, in minute detail. Pages are spent on each characters introspection. Do they like me, why do they like me, do they not like me, why not? How come? And it just goes on and on with it. There's no inference allowed. It's written like I, the reader, am too lazy, or dumb to be able to link anything together. This was my first book by this author, so I was unprepared but how tedious it was. It's not bad, per se, but just, dribble dribble dribble. It's like when it's raining out, but not hard enough to take an umbrella so you figure you'll power through with a raincoat, but the whole time you wish you had an umbrella and or even better, that you'd just stayed inside.

This series justs gets better & better. Bastien is the 3rd brother to find his lifemate. Terri is Kate's cousin, came over from England for her wedding. She stays with Bastien at the penthouse. Like Kate & Rachel before her there is a lot of passion & a lot of misunderstandings until with help from other members of the family they are cleared up. At the wedding Terri misunderstands something about Bastien that she overhears & runs home to England. She thinks Bastien has a terminal illness, like Ian her husband had, but she couldn't be further from the truth. When she hears it she doesn't belive it. It takes Kate a detour on her honeymoon to straighten it out.
This is a fantastic series & I can't wait for the rest. A definate keeper.

I liked this book but it wasn't as good as the previous ones in this series and not nearly as funny.
I realize that this is a romance novel, but I find it hard to take a character seriously when she's supposed to be a professor with a Ph.D. but doesn't have the sense to even think about safe sex and gives up her job and moves to another country without putting any effort into getting a new job. Granted, her husband to be (assuming she says yes) is loaded, but the fact that she would just drop a job she loved without any thought to how this would affect her life really makes her character seem silly.

I thought this book was very refreshing. I have read so many other authors; Charlaine Harris, Christine Feehan, Laurell Hamilton, and MaryJanice Davidson to name a few. I LOVE all these authors and continue to read them, but sometimes it's nice to read something without all the blood and danger. All the stories have someone in danger and being rescued. It's all soooo much drama.
This book however was truly a romance. The characters were well thought out, likable, and believable. They had adventures, fun, disasters, and of course, Romance. Pretty much like normal people have relationships, just with a twist (vampires). A new, very FRESH view!
If your tired of the hero and heroine always in danger and whining over each other - give this book a try:)

This book was the first I read. I bought it at Walgreen's, and I am glad I picked it up. I would have never known about the brilliant Argeneau family if I had not. Even though I have only read up to book 5, Bastien is my favorite character. Conversely, this book was rather lacking in having an enriched plot. If you are a new reader to the series and don't have time to start from book 1 or don't want to wait for the "better novels," start with book 3 (Single, White Vampire) and book 5 (A Bite to Remember). In my opinion, the storyline were the best and had the most important information regarding family and genetic developments. This book was great for its "love" scenes. However, it was only a wedding preparation storyline and nothing more; referring to potential readers to not expect a true plot. In the end, it was a great read if you have free time on your hands. The male character, Bastien, was a true luscious fantasy to desire or envision over. Since this was the first book I read, I was really loving this until I read the others. I forgot to mention this is much better than Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and definitely True Blood/Charlaine Harris; Harris' novels were short stories, awful, and sounded like a 14 year old wrote them. Also, Sands books are for grownup as they have many suggestive and descriptive love scenes.

I read Single White Vampire and Love Bites in one night each, and thought them fresh and funny. It took me a week to slave through this book. It lacks all the humor the first two contained and therefore all the reasons I bothered reading all three. Come on people, does a reader REALLY need 300 descriptions on just how much one person thinks the other person is sexy. I got it the first 20 times it was said, thank you! None of these characters were endearing, funny, or interesting to me. The off the wall situations Sands introduced that (I'm guessing here) she thought would make people laugh, was unrealistic, and therefore unrelatiable.
Please give me some plot here!

When Terri Simpson comes to New York, she is expecting to spend two weeks with her cousin Kate, helping with any of the last few details of Kate's wedding. But an accident forces Kate and her fiance Luc out of town and Terri is stuck with Bastien, Luc's brother. The attraction between the two is immediate and intense...and that is about it. Lynsay Sands fails to give Bastien and Terri anything really interesting to do outside of handling a few wedding snafus. Most of the entertainment comes from actor Vincent and accident prone Chris. Just enough humor and spice to keep the reader from getting too bored, but a stronger plot would have been nice.

Take a grumpy Vampire and a bridesmaid who has no clue what her best friend has gotten into, plus a wedding that puts even Murphy's Law to the test and you have laughs around almost every corner.
Between trying to hide his being a vampire from Terri, his nephew showing up to stay for a while and tasting the housekeeper, and the assistant to the bride breaks his leg. This couple has a lot to do and a short time to get it done, the caterer goes out of business, the flowers get a disease and that's just the beginning. Don't miss this 3rd installment of a vampire series that isn't dark and moody. These guys don't go looking for dinner, it's delivered from a special blood bank.

I'm a reader who thoroughly enjoyed Love Bites and Single White Vampire. This latest installment (Tall, Dark, and Hungry) was just plain dull. Terri, the heroine, was "nice" but way too uninteresting to ever intrigue the romantic interest of a hot male like Bastien, much less inspire him to make her his one and only lifemate. The author seems to tell us how the main characters feel about each other rather than show us how this so-called romance and passion build. From our glimpses of Bastien in the earlier books, we would expect him to have many more dimensions than the boring, flat character we ended up seeing in his featured installment (T,D,and H) Also, many of the fun vampire antics and revelations we loved in the earlier novels were noticably absent here. Maybe the author thought readers would be bored by a repeat of these issues from the other books, but it just makes Terri look plain stupid not to comment on Margerite (sp?) looking like she could be Bastien's sister rather than his mother. The clannish sense of the Argeneau (Sp?) family is also sadly missing here. The one attempt at comedy (a minor character who has a run of bad luck accidents) didn't even earn a chuckle IMO. Tall, Dark and Hungry was disappointing and if you must read it, borrow it free from the library.

Tall, Dark & Hungry was another hot, sexy and funny book by Lynsay Sands.
I loved Bastien and Terri, their story was amazing! And it was really great that Lucern and Kate (from the previous book) were present in this story as well. Planning their wedding sure didn't go smoothly LOL
Oh, and I just love Vincent, the somewhat strange cousin. I hope there will be a book about him cause I want to get to know him better.
I'm curious to see who the next book will be about!

Sands writes great vampire books. I loved the humor and the fact that this particular novel wasn't dark and dreary, as so many others seem to be. Terri and Bastien were a wonderful couple to get to know, as was his cousin Vincent.

I have a strange fascination with bad romances - the type that defy all logical thought - where, no matter what horrible things happen to the hero and heroine during the story, somehow it all ends okay.
The Argeneau series is one of my secret pleasures. As a series, the books are cohesive and the storyline is amusing and sweet. Taken individually, these books typify the tacky romance genre. Can you tell that I adore them?
Tall, Dark & Hungry is a fabulous book if you can keep pushing your 'I Believe' button a little more often than most books would recommend. Most of the book focuses on the inability of a older vampire to deal with human society without making a fool of himself. The rest of the book is about the same vampire happily making a fool of himself. Yes, it's funny. Yes, I read it in one sitting, and several times after that. And yes, there is no logic. But such is True Romance.
And my husband, bless him, reads these books all the time complaining about 'men with their brains dribbling out of their ears'.
Ah, love.

I've tried reading several books from different series recently that just didn't live up to the first books. This one did. I read a couple of the other Argeneau books and loved them so I was looking forward to this one. It didn't disappoint! These books are what got me hooked on Vampire/Paranormal fiction.
Lynsay Sands does a great job keeping the action going and the reader entertained as she weaves a real romance. The love scenes were just right, hot and passionate, without being over-done. The friendship between the main characters was great. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Lynsay Sands.

I loved the chemistry between Bastien Argeneau and Terri Simpson. The only thing I didn't really like was the fact that most of the funny parts depended on Chris the editor getting hurt. From a toilet falling on him to bee stings he just wasn't having a good two weeks. This was still a really good book and I hope that there are more Argeneau family members for Sands to write about.

If you are reading the entire Argeneau series, you can't miss this one, because it provides some important back story to some of the later novels. Unfortunately, I found it to be the slowest paced of the entire series. I rated it a 3 because it's important to read it, or some of the later stories will not make any sense, but you may have to hold your eyes open if you're reading it before bed.

I borrowed my girlfriend's copy of this book on a delayed train journey and started reading with some trepidation. Romance is definitely not my thing. How wrong I was. I never thought I'd spend a three hour rail delay laughing my socks off, but thanks to Ms Sands anarchic sense of humour even travelling on the British railways can turn onto an unexpected pleasure. Now if I can just find where my better half has hidden the previous two novels in this hysterical vampire series I may be prepared for the next journey.

I've read all 3 of the series* and I do love the story of ettiene & rachel the best! Bastien & terri's seduction drove me to read page after page w/excitment! Lucern & Kate were such a sweet beginning, although I found her a bit demanding at first, but that's what lucern needed! All 3 books are great reads, and I couldn't put them down, and read them over & over again! I love vampire romance, the sex & seductions are the best! I would love to read about Lissiana & greg next? I recommend this to the romantics, as well as those who read anita blake, and sookie stackhouse! Also some other great reads are Trisha Baker, Cheri Scott, Mary Janice Davidson, Billie Sue Mosiman! What a wonderful story! This book, which tells Bastien -- the middle brother's -- story, really lived up to my expectations. After reading the first two in the series by Lynsay Sands, I was hooked. This book is a wonderful combination of the incredible humor found in the first, "Single White Vampire," and the sexual tension and passion from the secod, "Love Bites."
I definitely recommend this book whether you like vampire stories or not. It focuses on the hectic time before a brother's wedding where crisis after crisis occurs -- hilarity ensues. An all-around great read!!!

I always loved Bastian as a character and I was excited to read his story. I was a bit disappointed by it all when push came to shove and everything wrapped up. While this was a good book, it was not my favorite in the series.

Well, Sands didn't disappoint. When I am in the mood for some hot and steamy romance, I go grab my Argeneau series from my bookshelf. This is the story about one of the Argeneau brothers, Bastien.
The story was funny and you find yourself laughing out loud every now and then as a new scene unfolds.
Can't wait to read Argeneau books number 10 and 11. Sands, in her website, mentioned that book 10 will be out late this year while book 11 will come right after.

If you like this series I think you will love this book. It is very good and a great love story with the vampire twist. So far this is one of my favorite, but I am catching up slowly on the complete series to catch up.

Lynsay Sands has a fresh new take in her trilogy. "Love Bites" and "Single White Vampire" are the first two, though "Tall, Dark & Hungry" was the most refreshing of them. A new outlook on vampiric origins, and lots of wonderful comedy spliced in with vampires and romance. What could be better?

My introduction to the vampire series, it got me hooked and I had to buy the rest of the series to see what happened to the rest of the family. Fabulous story with a new twist on the old vamp standard, loved it!

All of the Argeneau Vampire series books are a hoot to read and, for those single women out there, these men leave you panting for a Vampire as your LifeMate. I know I do!!!

I wasted an entire evening reading this book, time I'll never get back. There's no chemistry between Bastien and and Terri and way too much internal monologue. Not the quality I've come to expect from Ms. Sands.
