I love J D Robb books, I know Nora Roberts writes them but the IN DEATH series are a lot better and I love the fact that she uses Eve Dallas,Roake, and Peabody in all her books. I get her books on my e-reader so that I can keep reading them and don't have to worry about losing them. J D Robb keep writing these books.

Just introduced my husband to the JD Robb collection. Being a former detective, he's completely hooked!! Always the best writing with suspenseful twists until the last page!! Also, so nice to be able to buy the books in a collection, in chronological order - not that it's necessary, but it makes the whole experience more enjoyable! Kudos to all!

I "met" this author in an anthology (out of This World) and decided to begin the series at the beginning - so I found this five book set at the public library - for download - and now I am BINGING. I do have a complaint, however... you cant put it down! I'm caught! the books are so VERY exciting. Story line is fab, set in the believable future, and you care about the characters! On to the next set.
Loyalty in Death :: Kindred in Death :: A Novel of Cosmic Horror (John Dies at the End) - What the Hell Did I Just Read :: The Unnoticeables: A Novel (The Vicious Circuit) :: Seduction in Death: In Death, Book 13

This is a series that I NEVER get tired of reading...over...and over again. There is nothing like a full novel written by Nora Roberts to make for an entertainingly scrumptious story that pulls you in and makes you feel homesick in between installments. And, when that installment comes out and you finally have a chance to read it, your back at home with life, death, intrigue and love.

You gotta love Roberts. She makes the best characters and stories.

Also, let me say that Susan Erickson's right on, talented and engrossing professional narration of Roberts' books is like icing on the cake. If you love the book, try it again with the audio enhancements...truly entertaining!

I'm giving it one star because of the pricing.

The five books from this collection can currently be purchased separately for a total of $31.58. A savings of $5.41.

Do yourself a favor-buy these books individually. You won't regret it. The In Death series is one that I used to buy in hardcover-would pre-order in hardcover in fact. I also picked up copies at used book stores/yard sales in paperback for convenience sake. When the arthritis in my hands made it hard to hold a book, I switched to a Kindle. Now I pre-order all the books and am slowing getting all the old ones as well. The quality of the writing, storylines, and characterizations has only gotten better with time. This is something few, if any, authors can say after 30+ books.

I *just* purchased all 5 books, separately, on Kindle for a total of $30.79 ($5.99 each for first 4, and $6.83 for "Ceremony"). I LOVE the series, but the publisher has got to get on the ball and fix the collection price, because it's idiotic for the collection to be $5 MORE expensive than the individual books! (and note date of review, just in case this price problem is fixed in the future *fingers crossed*)

This is just stupid, they charge more for the digital version than for new paper back! There's no further expenses, no paper, no binding, no editing, no further writing, but they think you should spend more for digital than for paper back.

I have been reading J. D. Robb for years but wanted to start from the beginning to read how Eve and Roark met and married. This set lets you go from one to the next because if you are like me, you don't ever want to stop reading her books. The fifth book that deals with witches is a little short but this set is worth reading. You won't be disappointed.

If only 1,000,000 people buy the collection that's a $40,000 profit over the indivdual price and as several people have noted I have the whole collection already. Have just reread the series for the 4th time 1-to the end and if you add in rereading them each time there was a new addition since book #10 that adds up to a great amount of reading. I really would love getting the kindle copies because even the soft covered books have gotten too heavy and I not only drop them on myself but also my cat. She realy hates it and I don't blame her. I've tried several ways so this doesn't happen but they don't work. My sisters got together to get me the kindle and it works great but the books are just too expensive to replace.

Who ever 'made up' this bundle should be SHOT!!!

This is my absolute favorite series of books and I
would love to also have them on my kindle but NOT
at this price or CONDENSED versions!!!!

Do yourself a favor and get them separately....

Pricing of this collection speaks volumes about the low opinions the publisher, the store, and the author have about the intelligence of her readers and potential readers, especially those of us who already have purchased Kindle versions of J.D Robb books at a lower individual price than is being charged in the collection. the store makes note of the fact that the publisher sets the price but the fact remains that the store and the author also directly benefit from doing this. Shame on all of you.

Great to have the first five books in one place. Like the touches of future science, strong & interesting characters & the relationships between them. I have read most of the series & look forward to more when I come across them. The plots are complicated but not so much that you loose the place. All most entertaining.

I noticed that in a lot of these reviews, the Kindle version is mentioned, however, the item itself is an unabridged AUDIOBOOK collection. I, like the rest of the reviewers, am a huge fan of the In Death series, so I was confused, when I saw the low ratings on some reviews. Please review the correct item before you give it 1 or 2 stars so these great stories are given the credit they're due. Thanks! :)

Gee, guess the publisher and author didn't get rich enough off of loyal readers. Because 98.9% of the purchasers of this particular product are loyal readers who already bought the books when first published, but want to repurchase for their electronic reading device. Well Nora & Company, you've finally convinced me. I got a library card yesterday. You all ain't getting a dime more off of me.

The grouping rate is higher than buyimg them individually. My fear is that the prices are going to raise individually soon, which makes it very hard to continue re-buying the series for my Kindle viewing. It sure would be nice to get a real deal, once in a while. I keep picturing some greedy, fat cat, with a smarmy mustache, rubbing his hands together and cackling that we readers are too stupid to get it.

I enjoy Dallas, Roarke, and yes, Summerset. The many crazy characters, Mavis, Peabody, Feeney. The mysteries are quite intriguing, I am rarely able until the end to figure out who did it. Lots of action, interesting and amusing relationships. A little too much sex
