I like the series as you can really get to know the characters. Though it is predictable, I do like when the heroes prevail. Though not a literary masterpiece, it is a book where you don't have to do a lot of thinking.

That guy did it! No, it was that guy! No no no, it was her! Yep, that's the workings of my mind as Kendra took me on another adventure in the world of Mercy and Truman. Truly great story❤

You may want to take the day off to read this latest case that ensnares Mercy Kilpatrick. The tightly wrapped plot has unexpected twists and turns into threatening territory for Truman Daly .Kendra Elliot also sheds light on the disturbing under culture of Sovreign Citizenship .

This is a well written book which I enjoyed thoroughly. I am pleased to see that there will be two more Mercy Kilpatrick books, although I really think there ought to be more than that in the pipeline.

This was another solid and dark mystery. Added some really interesting characters for future books in the series. Mercy and Truman’s relationship continues to be tested and survive to grow stronger. Looking forward to the next one.

This book was fast paced, full of forensic detail, and an excellent read. The twists and turns had me guessing “who dun it” for quite a while before the ending was revealed. I recommend this book.

This is one of the tougher books that I have read in this series because of the content, but it's also really good. You may need your tissues.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I just love the cheacters in the Merciful books. I think this might have been my favorite. So much action and suspense you can't put it down. I certainly hope to see more of Ollie. Even just being introduced in this book, he is so endearing. You just want to see him succeed. Such great writing and storytelling. This series is a must read!

I enjoy reading both Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh they both have suspenseful books that get better with each book. Also, you get to really know their characters and can't wait to see what will happen in the next book.

Mercy Kilpatrick is a very likeable character. I have enjoyed the entire series, will hate to see it end. I love the suspense, trying to figure out who did it and it has the right amount of romance mixed in as well.

Such an education you get about this strange faction of society that lives in the northwest part of the state. Story line is always gripping and characters are never one dimensional. Love this series and will be sorry to see it end.

This book, as well as the others in this series, was extremely exciting and an" edge of your seat" page turner. My wish would be that the
author was able to write more, quicker! Cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Quite the page turner, intrigue, suspense...again! Each novel just keeps getting better--love the characters, and the science, but ability to write very descriptive details leaves you appropriately grossed out at details. Awesome!

The 4th book in the Mercy Kilpatrick "Mercy" series starts with a murder with a twist. Kendra Elliot has enriched the characters in this series with each new title. While you do not have to have read the first 3 to enjoy this one, the first books will build your knowledge and understanding of the main characters making this one much more enjoyable. An FBI agent with a prepper background can definitely look at crime scenes and evidence with a different outlook. Set in a small town in Oregon, the locals all have an opinion and feel it is their civic duty to share. With her boyfriend, who also happens to be the police chief, Mercy has to investigate a cold case in order to solve her current case. An enjoyable read all around.

Wow! What a powerful ride!!! There were two main stories/mysteries running at the same time! This was an amazing book and I didn't figure out how the guilty parties were until Kendra Elliot was ready to reveal them! I really enjoy the characters of Mercy and Truman and all their supporting characters! They are amazing people that feel real! There were some new wonderful characters introduced - hope to see them again. Can't wait until the next adventure...

Kendra Eliot’s “Mercy Kilpatrick” series continues as FBI Agent Mercy Kilpatrick and Police Chief Truman Daly guarding the little town of Eagle’s Nest, Oregon, a town that seems to harbor unexpected crimes and open long buried secrets.

“A Merciful Silence” throws Mercy Kilpatrick into the midst of a reprise of gruesome slaughters, two decades ago and now the discovery of bones in a downpour of a storm. As Mercy tries to unravel the mystery surrounding this murder, Truman is caught in the vice of the killer. And with time against them, Mercy has to find the killer before she loses Truman and Truman’s only goal is to get to Mercy at any cost.

“A Merciful Silence” is another brilliant fiction as Kendra takes another step in forging Mercy’s place in the little town. This story also takes Mercy and Truman’s relationship to another level, as they battle the very possibility of not surviving a killer’s madness.

Still paying great attention to the dynamics of the Kilpatrick family, Kendra Elliot weaves another intense story of family loyalties, loss and pain, hope and faith. And I’ve always loved her prowess of developing a personal relationship, layer by layer, book by book…my favorite attribute of hers.

Received an ARC from Montlake Romance via NetGalley for an honest review.

I haven’t read any other books in the Mercy series, but that wasn’t a deterrent from enjoying this book. I liked the characters and the story had enough twists and turns to keep me interested. I recommend and plan to read the entire series.
