I was really happy with your service and the book's came in a good condition. I was also happy i could get these books with the cover as i was unable to find these kind of covers in a book store. However the books were not exactly what i thought they would be.

I am not a teen I am in my early 20's but have always been a lover of teen books as well as a James Patterson fan. I have never been so disappointed. This book is not even for 13 year olds its for 5 year olds. There are ridiculous holes in the story, no explanations for anything and ridiculous dialogue. There were times it was interesting and times I laughed at Max's comebacks but all in all if you are not wearing diapers I doubt you will get anything out of this series. Sorry Mr Patterson. Fail.

I read this book at first because my best friend had given it to me for my birthday, even after I had stated I wasn't interested. I got home at two o'clock, began reading, and kept going until eight, when my mother had to threaten me with grounding just to get me to put it down long enough to take a shower. After that, I went back to reading. At 1:30, I read chapter 74 three times and still couldn't comprehend it, so I decided it was finally time to go to sleep.

Since, the original trilogy is still on my top five list. Let's start with the pros:
1. Original. Even though this is just a younger version of his previous book, "When the Wind Blows," it is still different from other YA books that came before it.
2. Superpowers. These will always impress me.
3. Female Protagonist. Again, gotta love 'em.
4. Humor.
5. Fight scenes
6. Love interest that has long black hair. Okay, okay, back on topic.

Here are the cons.
1. Mood swings. The protagonist kisses her love interest, then claims she isn't interested, then gets mad when he gets another girlfriend, then she gets her own boyfriend, then kisses Fang AGAIN. It gets pretty tiring. Especially when she decides she doesn't like him anymore after that last kiss.
2. Talking dogs. This series can get ridiculous to the point of stupidity.
3. Max is a control freak. She repeatedly makes stupid rules for the other kids in her "flock" on a whim, and most of them make no sense.

Hope that helped!

I am a teenage girl who loves the classics. These books made me giggle. They kept me turning pages. They were really easy reads. Sure, there were a couple plot holes that beffuddled me, but only a couple. What you've got to remember is: this is a book for teenagers, kids, reluctant readers, and people who just need a break from the land of serious that many classics create. Max is snarky, sarcastic, and fun, and her flockmates are great characters. Reading any bad reviews makes me slightly bemused. If you read a bad review, disregard it! These are phenomenal books.

I honestly love the action, suspense, surprises, shock, amazement, humor, and romance in these books. I loved that the books were together so I wouldn't have time wait for another. But I am a sucker for romance (being a teenaged girl and all) so I wish there could've been more between Max and Fang. We all saw it coming at some point a little, but it's still great. I don't know, maybe there's more romance in the next books. Overall I loved it. I loved Gazzy's mimicry, New mutants, the characters, and well, I'm not gonna give it all away, but I felt like it was very well written. And as Max would say - emphasis on very.

If you are in LOVE with Harry Potter or Hunger Games, read this! The characters are amazing and very funny. It has a cuss word every so often, but doesn't appear more than once or twice. The boxed is a way better deal than buying the books one-by-one. There is a little bit of lovey-dovey stuff after the first book, but just a kiss or two... Patterson keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book. If you're looking for a book to curl up on the couch with, pick this series to get you started. Oh! And if you're not sure, you can just get the sample for free and see if you like it!

I picked this set up not knowing what it was about, and I'm glad I did. I have read all six books in the series, and I can't wait for the seventh one Angel to come out. I love the character Max. This series remindes me almost of a super hero comic book type. There is always action and adventure. It is about six kids trying to survive everyone trying to hunt them down, and trying to remain a normal family at the same time. Each kid has something diffrent about them. Enough said don't want to spoil it.

I love James Patterson and every book of his that I've ever read. He is an author that is impossible to put down. I purchased these books for my sons and plan on reading them for myself because I love to read. I was hoping his children books would be just as good as the adult books. I recommend anything written by him!! Fantastic author!!

I love these books and can't get enough of them. I have read all the books so far and eagerly awaiting for the 7th (i already have it on pre-order). My friends and I have always found a way to get the Maximum Ride series in our conversations. I'm in my early teens and highly recommend these books. There might be some gaps here and there but that is part of what makes the reader continue reading and begging for more. I love every page of this series and hope it stays that way. :)

These books are amazing and fun to read. I started reading them
hen i was an eleven year old, and max is weastly! (it means a woman beast) she can fly, is amazing at fighting, and yet she doesn't sound stupid at all. i really love how it makes you laugh, like one time i was reading under the covers of my bed and it was like, 12:00 am and my parents said they heard mw laughing.

These books are good. The first book tells an excellant story in the style for which James Patteson is so famous. The characters capture your imagination and make you want to know them better. My only con to the books is the underlying message: Humans have so messed up our world that they must be eliminated and let the smart folks start over to make a perfect world. Be warned, these books are a teaching tool for the global warming hoax.

The first book is terrific. James Patterson gives you a splendid thriller. There's plenty of comedy and tons of action. Max is a great leader even though she is just a kid.

The second book is just as great as the first. everyone can see that Max and Fang are getting closer. Throughout the series they gather enough powers to take down an army and I have to amit it was getting pretty annoying. The characters are independent but they have so many powers that it seems they could do anything. Which makes the story less interesting.

He should have left the story at the Max. It was rather boring beause the fact that he kept repeating their assignment on what they are suppse to concentrate on. But the ending was great for the love story.

SPOILER ALERT: For those who loves Fang. He does die in the novel Fang!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read an earlier book from James Patterson a second time a few weeks ago then handed it to my wife. She enjoyed it and explained to me that she wanted more from these kids. I told her that there were more and similar books around. I bought her the Box Set at a reasonable price. She whipped through the first one, took her time with the second and is now into the third book. She told me that her only concern was that the writing was for a younger audience but that once you get past that the books are very enjoyable.

I am a grandmother of 13. I like to read books before the kids do so I know what they are reading. Please tell me why is is more important to save the world from so called global warming than to search out and destroy evil scientists who torture, clone and mutate children, then keep them locked in dog crates. What ever happened to the sanctity of human life being our top priority. Shame on James Patterson for choosing to place children and human life second ( if at all) in the appalling actions of what is being done to the earth. I have read 5 of the Max series books. I don't want my grandchildren to be sucked into this sick twisted view!!!
