I have been a fan of Bourdain from his shows and love the way he narrates. The passion he has, not just for the food, but for the culture/places that the food comes from. His views are always insightful and i actually started cooking when i was 32, inspired by his shows. Never cooked in my life before that.

Bourdain comes across and a bourgeois type but in my opinion he is just brutally honest and never really seems judgemental...this being an interview you see his personality and learn that what he does he does for the love of it.

While not necessarily forging new ground, this interview with Anthony Bourdain gets into some of the inner workings of the man. Certainly all fans of his will enjoy it, and those who are perhaps uninitiated or maybe even those who aren't fans would do well to take it in. An enjoyable read.

Blum's interview of Bourdain was a quick, but revealing look at the former chef's views on critics and what it means to be a chef in today's world. Not too detailed, but enough to make me interested in reading Bourdain's books.

so far so good! ...can't figure out how to continue reading this without leaving a review. so I suppose that says something considering being seemingly forced to review didn't make me just give up on it hahaha

I love his honesty about himself and when he lets us "see behind the curtain" or should I say kitchen door? I have read everything he authored, and can't wait for more. Keep cookin' and talkin' Tony!

This is truly a valuable insight on Bourdain’s love for humanity and family. The interview did a good job at helping me to realize the compassion that AB had for the world and the thankfulness he maintained for the ability to see and touch places he never imagined he would.

This book ended rather abruptly...
Didn't learn anything new here about Anthony Bourdain. Guess we all "knew him" because he was so frank and open on TV. What you saw on TV is exactly how he came across in this interview...nothing additional...just a nice interview...
