I am so disappointed in this book - waaay too much mayan/native american boring stuff that just didn't make sense. Don't waste your money on this over-priced snoozerama - if I could return this book, I would.

I love the Dark Hunter novels and Sherrilyn Kenyon did not disappoint me with this one! Although I'm not a big romance novel reader these books have sucked me into them and I can't seem to get enough. Fantastic series, can't wait for the next one!
Dark Heir (Jane Yellowrock Book 9) :: Retribution (Dark-Hunter Novels) :: Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, Book 2) :: Dark Secret (The 'Dark' Carpathian Book 15) :: Dark Side of the Moon (Dark-Hunter Novels Book 9)

Sherilyn Kenyon is an author who I look for, I have read most everything she has written and even though I enjoy some of her dark hunter stories more than others, I really haven't found any I didn't enjoy on some level. This story will not be one I re-read over and over like dark play or acheron but was worth the price and i read it
in a day. I had put off buying it because of some of the negative reviews so was really surprised I liked it as much as I did, everyone finds something different in her stories or a character they like more than others so my advise is if you enjoy her writing get this book as well

Omg where to start, I loved this book simply because some people had a problem with meshing the God's from other religions together. For me it was easy, since that's what I believe lol, I still love the Acheron book the best of the series...but this has a special place in my heart now. Thank you Sherilynn, for sharing another amazing piece of your heart with us. <3

I goth this on whisper and kindle. Listening to it while reading it was great gave the story more depth. I won't do any spoilers so have to read it for yourself. But Hearing about Ash's hair was a laugh

I am addicted to this series, I know it is hard for her to keep it going- but it rocks- she manages to update concepts, I hope she will continue this series, and branch it out a little so it dosnt get stale, not a fan of her off world series.

First, I LOVE Sherrilynn Kenyon's novels. I have read all of her books. I adore her League universe, her Bellador universe, and everything Dark Hunter. What I want to know is - what is happening to her writing in the Dark Hunter series? Time Untime is one of the worst books I have ever read. Ever. It is confusing, disjointed, repetitive, and worst of all - boring. I did not finish the book because I just could not stomach any more long, rambling dialogues. After I get done writing this I am going to see if I can get a refund from the store. What is going on? I wasn't going to even write this cuz I really hate to be critical but there has been a steady decline in the quality of writing by this author who I came to so adore. I hope that Ms. Kenyon, her editors, and her publishers listen to her fans.
Priced at $12.99, Time Untime is one of the most expensive of Kindle books. The reason I took a chance and bought this book, in spite of the really bad reviews, was for the chance to get a peak at some of my favorite characters - Acheron, Urian, Talon, and Alexion. I NEVER thought I'd be saying this but even the few pages that feature Acheron were not worth the cost of the book. Sorry Ms. Kenyon. I look forward to your next release. I will be buying it but my commitment as one of your fans is beginning to be severely strained. Please, please listen to us. Editors and publishers, please collaborate to to help return the world of Acheron to the quality prose it deserves.

So far I had really liked all other dark-hunter books, this one was a gross dissapointment. I am not even finished with the book and am very tempted to return it and get my money back. I found myself simply skipping whole pages because the whole thing was so uninteresting.

Time Untime is another excellent Dark Hunter Novel. It about Kateri Avani, a Geologist at the University of Alabama. She doesn't know it yet but her destiny is to prevent the coming of Armageddon. Ren Waya, a Dark Hunter, is the only person who can help Kateri stop the events that will bring about end of the world. Both have lost people that they have loved and they have to learn to trust their instincts and each other. The journey is long and difficult as they both learn to love again.
I enjoyed this new installment in the Dark Hunter series. There were a lot of history to understand in order to follow the story, but it was well worth the time. We get to visit with old friends, such as Ash and another whose name I won't spoil for you're here. I highly recommend this book and all the other Dark Hunter books.

As a huge Sherrilyn Kenyon fan, I was not disappointed with her latest installment in her Dark-Hunter series. We get to see some new characters as well as some old ones. I gave it four stars instead of five because it does get a tad predictable. Overall it was a good read, though.

Time UnTime is the latest book in Sherrilyn Kenyon's world of the Dark Hunters (for those of you who didn't know) As with all Kenyon books this one was much anticipated and once again Sherrie doesn't fail us. Time UnTime had a seriously different feel to it. It wasn't that quirky, crazy, silly dialog that Sherrie is famous for. It didn't have those sensual scenes that many of us blush over (hello, Talon on the bar).. It even lacks Daimons.. and yet it is a wonderful addition to the Dark Hunters.
I have not read a single book of Sherrie's that I didn't love.. I have laughed at the insanity, wondered who the Alexion was going to be, cried when Nicky, well became "more". I have cringed at Sherrie's ability to describe a tortured past but never before has a Kenyon story entered my dreams and remind me of what was.. and what wasn't.
Ren (short for Renegade which btw, had my first daughter have been a boy his name would have been Renegade.. so for that alone I had to love him) was the son of a Greek Goddess and a Mayan Chieftain.. and nursed by a demon. Talk about family issues.. Resented by his father he is demeaned and debased by family and tribe. Leaving him with absolutely no self worth and a desperate need for love. Not knowing what real love was he fell for a woman who had an ulterior motive and lead him down the path that almost destroyed the world. After finding redemption he was betrayed by his brother yet again and killed. Artemis finds him and offers him her Dark Hunter Deal.. an unusual event for someone from South America and the Mayan Pantheon..He is almost as old as Ash and believe it or not, Ash was surprised when they finally met.. Once Ren accepts his Dark Hunter status he spends the next 11,000 years working to protect the world.
Kateri Avani the last of her bloodline on her Mother's side and the cousin to Sunshine Runningwolf. Although, Sunshine is her cousin she is not the granddauther of a goddess.. and as completely clueless to the "other" things that reside beside her. Kateri is the one person who has been ordained to reset time before it runs out and the Demons are released. But once she starts learning about who she is and what she has to do her amazing belief in the good of mankind shines through. She steps up well she accepts what she must do after she is dragged into everything.
There is just so much going on in this book it is amazing. This is not a transitional book although I do believe it is part of a dualogy with Retribution as part of story within a story of the Dark Hunters. As I said in the beginning this is not your typical Sherrie story. It is filled with Cherokee and Mayan Mythos.. a tip of the hat to 2012. We see Ash and Sundown and Sasha and Talon and Rain Runningwolf and Urian.. we don't see any of the women though.. rather interesting. Oh and we see Nicky and really learn something new about him.
*****************semi spoiler alert********************
For those of you who are mad at Nicky... you might find your opinions changed.. Nicky and Ash have a conversation that all but brought me to tears..
*************end of semi spoiler alert*******************
Although this book is way different to Sherrie's usual it has a definite appeal and I believe anyone who loves Kenyon will love this book.. and for those of you who have never read her.. you will find it an amazing read! Enjoy my friends

I won't do a summary as other reviewers have done that wonderfully. What I will say is that I found the first half of the book confusing. Heavy on the Native American mythology, I had a hard time getting into the flow. Ren's character was too similar to the majority of her other male heroes for me to fully immerse myself in the story, I kept thinking of zarek, xypher, Acheron and others. Kenyon's over use of phrases (like: and people in hell want ice water??) and kateri's endearments did not set her apart as a hero, they made her sound like tori. The characters felt like they were created from the standard formula. Kateri and ren could have been any pair in the last 4 books. I enjoyed everything with Sasha in it (he's a favorite) and of course Ash. if you can get beyond the first confusing chapters, it's worth reading for the catch up with old friends.

I just kept paging through trying to get hooked. The Native American mythology was too much for me after becoming familiar with the Greek and Roman pantheons. I was hopeful when I came across Talon and Ash but I still just could not get into the story.
It surprised me because I have devoured everything else Kenyon has written.
Take me back to New Orleans, Sanctuary, Wren, and the rest of the old gang.

At some point this series turned into explaining this series from every possible myth story and angle, then having former characters appear, and a couple of scenes of smart @ss comments, and end of the world as we know it refrains. Personally I like less of that explaining. This one was a day's read. I'm glad the world as we know it is still turning.
The two main character names were too close to other character names from other works and that seemed really odd.
But I do enjoy her books. Maybe one day we won't need the tome to explain and it'll just be fun again.

:( simple yet it encompasses how I am feeling-disappointed-the book was rushed and not well put together with many inconsistencies. I LOVE DH and have them all in hardback and in kindle form and was really looking forward to this since its been a while-to tell the truth the last few have made me feel the same way-rushed. When you read the first books in this series, you have no questions- you are pulled into the story-you feel the way they do-you see the picture that is being painted for you-this....well-Not this Time.....

Let me state for the record that I am a huge fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon, AND her Dark-Hunter series. But this book wasn't as great as others within this series. I liked Ren, and I did feel compassion and joy for him.(Sherrilyn and I seem to have an affinity for damaged men. LOL) But sadly, I felt no connection to the story as a whole.I barely tolerated Teri and the whole Native American story line. I believe that this topic appeals to a certain audience, and I am just not one of them. Overall, the story was just... plain... messy. It was so confusing trying to understand the backstory of both the Native American and Mayan cultures. In addition, there were too many characters with such difficult names, that I found myself deeply annoyed, and having to flip back to previous pages to remember a particular backstory. In addition, the book kept jumping from the present, to the past and then incorporated dreams and visions. Then there were the concepts of reincarnation, Gods, Daemons and Demons... aiyahaaiii... It was just too much! I did enjoy the re-appearance of past characters I adore- Ash anyone? And yes, I DID manage to finish the book, but I skimmed past as much as I could while still following the plot of the book. I don't recommend purchasing this one for your Sherrilyn collection. However, if you feel the need to read it, save yourself the heartache and borrow a copy from your local library.
I will continue to read Sherrilyn, but I'm hoping that her next release will be better than this one.

Let me start off by saying that this is the first book by this author that I have read. Obviously it is part of a series and so I was missing a lot of the background information. She does do a fairly good job of filling you in with the basics so that you can definitely follow the book, but I have to guess that I was missing some of the finer details. For example some of the characters are vampires. That does not come into the book until very close to the end and quite honestly doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the context of the story.
The story follows Ren, the typical half spring of a God, tortured soul, can't udnerstand how anyone could love such a worthless soul, etc, as he helps Kateri to reset the calendar and save all humanity. Kateri is a friendly lady who is dedicated to her work as a geologist and hasn't had much time for relationships in her life, with the exception of her grandmother, an American Indian medicine woman. She has heard all of the stories from her heritage but does really believe in any of them going into the story.
The book starts out on a fairly serious note, with a little background on Ren, and quickly gets into a fairly action packed story. Unfortunately she breaks up the action roughly every 4 lines with a joke. Some of them are pretty funny and do make the book a quick and amusing book, but many of them simply distract from the story line and make it hard to follow the action. In addition every male in the book seems to be Christian Grey type good looking with descriptions like "angelic", "sexiest man of all time", and "ferally beautiful." After a while this become a bit much, like I said, EVERY man in this book is beyond good looking, to the extent that frequently Kateri is about to die but is more interested in how someone's chest muscles ripple under the effort of fighting.
In addition she mixes SO many different types of myths and legends that it become quite difficult to tell what is going on. Is this the Mayan part? The Greek part, the new tribe that we have never heard of's part? But in the book they are all related, work together, and mix. Because of this it is hard to tell who really has what powers, each time you hear about someone being the most powerful she throws in a new character that is even more powerful. This too got old fairly quickly. How can everyone be unbeatable, but not as powerful as the next character?
Overall I did enjoy the book and will probably read another one of her's at some point, although I think I would try to start at the begining of the series rather than jump in part way through.

In the Mayan calendar the prediction is that the gates of spirit world will open up on 12/21/12 and they will get their revenge on the mortal realm. The key to saving the world is Kateri Avani and her stone. Teri is a geologist and doesn't believe in this destiny that her grandmother who told of her all the things that she would need to fulfill it. Ren is a dark hunter is sent to protect her to fulfill her destiny. Ren has never been loved and when Teri comes into his life he doesn't believe that she wants to love him. Teri is a little weary from Ren because in her dreams he is always there trying to kill her and in his visions she is always there to kill him. With two people who have lost all they have ever known they will have to trust each other in order to save the world.
As much as I love the Dark Hunter series this book has been my least favorite of the series. The story was confusing and there was a lot of going back and forth between visions from the past the present and frankly I got lost sometimes. Also the mix between Mayan mythology and Greek mythology was confusing at times and it was kind of a mess. I felt the story was more about the past then what was currently happening in the present. I love this series and I am looking forward to the next one and hopefully it goes back to the way it should.
I give this story 2 stars.

Kateri Avani is trouble by dreams of a tall dark warrior who no matter the dream kills her.
Kateri's grandmother was a healer and keeper of knowledge and often spoke of things with Kateri that she wasn't able to understand at the time, it all comes home fast.
Ren Waya a dark-hunter with a life as far back as Ashes, has one job protect the world from the end of time and that time has come. he will join into battle and kill who he must but what a shock when the key to the whole thing is not an aged wise man or woman but a beautiful geologist, The other surprise is not only she beautiful but she sees past his wall and into his heart, a heart she has the moment she calls him babe.
While others were put off some by the switch from the Greek-Atlantean line, I found it refreshing. Sherrilyn's Mayan and Cherokee prophecy's and their connecting themes was right on.
I was looking forward to having more of Sunny's family and heritage brought into play and it was a welcome change and one that I hope we see more of.
I can relate to many of things Ren felt and went through and it's partly because of Sherry's books that I am able to grow and move past the past and enjoy the love I have in my life. I will always be a fan even if I live to the ripe old age of 100.

First off I want everyone to know how honored I am to be writing this review. Because of Sherrilyn Kenyon's DH series I would not have the people in my life that I do now, and I probably wouldn't be in this position to be writing for this amazing site.
In this book you learn more about Sunshine and her brothers, Nick and Ash's relationship, how tight Ren and Sundown care considering him and Abigail name a child after him...sorry wont give that away. :D You also get to see a little more of Alexion. You also learn that the Mayan and Cherokee history/myth relate to each other. Kateri and Ren see each other in their dreams, but as soon as they come into physical contact neither them ever expected to fall in love with one another.
I have to say this is one of the most amazing books from her Dark-Hunter series. Considering how everyone is constantly talking about the end of the world coming, this was perfect timing. Kenyon always seems to bring more depth into her characters which allows us to get to know them so much better. The way she writes the action and emotions just jump off the page. Once I got a hold of the book I really didn't want to put it down. If you're a fan and follow this series then it is a MUST read. Besides wouldn't you like to know if this is the end of the world for our favorite characters, or if there is more to come?

I have mixed feelings about this book. I am giving it 3 stars and not less since I did find myself enjoying it for the most part. I know that with so many books, there has to be new ideas, new plots and characters to keep the story alive, but I am feeling more lost with the series. Unfortunately it has been awhile since I have read the series, but I can't remember what is up with Jaden, Savitar and that whole story line. What about Stryker..the fight with him? It just feels like Ms. Kenyon took a step off the original plot and started a new one with new characters and cameos from the original books.
But like I stated, I did find myself enjoying most of the story. It does have a lot of dialog and it is rushed to me, but I still like most of it. But the story could have been so much better with more detail and more story to begin with, like her book Archeron where the first half was Ash's past and the second half was the present day Ash and Tory story.
I would like her to take a step back and breath. Take the time to write, I don't mind waiting for a book if it is well written.

I was disappointed in this installment of Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. I feel like now that we seem to have exhausted the Greco-Roman/Atlantean mythologies, we are grasping at demons and any other legends and lore. I find it fascinating, but in this book it is just too much. Nothing seems to make sense, so many new characters and their histories has bogged this book down. I also did not feel the chemistry between Ren and Kateri. It lacked the spunk of Sunshine/Talon, Tabitha/Valerius, Amanda/Kyrian, and Bride/Vane. I only got to know the characters through stories told in the past/flashbacks. I never got to see them just be together because there was always a random demon attack. This seems to have been a book about chaos, and I didn't love it. I'm sad this series seems to be losing steam.

Of all the dark hunter stories, this one was the hardest to read. Why? The main character, Ren, had to have had the worst upbringing in the history of the world. The premise was getting time reset, as a result of the Mayan calendar end of the world. IMO there was way too much back story, too many explanations of who did what to whom. That would have been fine had there not been so much back story on Ren, what he suffered through at the hands of his brother Coyote and their father. And there was a lot of explaining, as if that would make the sequence of events with Ren and the entire Mayan calendar a bit easier to understand. Whoever thought that a character who is subjected to nothing but misery is a great person to root for was wrong. If anything, you wish a cataclysmic event would wipe out the entire lot and be done with it. I did not enjoy this as I enjoyed other books by this author but I am also not willing to give up, just yet.

Massive, crushing, disappointment from a once talented author. Kenyon, like author Dara Joy and many others, can do great male Alpha characters, but the women are too often "meh" and only thrown in for the sex/happy ending stuff. But even by Kenyon's modest standards, Kateri was such a clueless, whining bore that after half the book I could not bear to continue reading - even though my fav character Acheron finally appears. Not even Ash could make me wade through this misery, I'm sorry to say.
In fifty years of voracious fiction reading there's been no more than half-a dozen books I just could not manage to finish. "Time Untime" has just won the dubious honor of becoming one of them.

Kateri Avant doesn't realize how special she is, she does have strange dreams and her grandmother may have passed down some secrets, but not until December of 2012, just before what many think, according to the Mayan Calendar, may be the end of days does Kateri find out what her past has to do with the future of the world. This is a supernatural thriller with a lot of excitement. At first there is a lot going on and the book is a bit confusing, but the author takes the story ripe with evil to a whirlwind ending.

Another fabulous read from the Dark Hunter series and the feel of the story reminds me of Kenyon's earlier DH books. Yes, the tortured hero and heroine strong enough to heal him, the Dark Hunters camaraderie, sarcastic humor, the funny banter, action, battle between good and evil, and a sigh inducing romance.
But this book differs from the rest as the Atlantean and Greek mythology background is now combined with the Mayan mythology. It is full of background information and can be a bit overwhelming but it did not hinder what I felt for the book. I loved every bit of it.
Renegade Waya (Makah'alay Omawaya in his previous life) or Ren was the Guardian but lost his position to his conniving brother, Cayote. Mentally and physically abused by his father and brother, he became a loner and detached. Even as a Dark Hunter, he just never trusted anyone. Whereas Kateri is just out in the open, honest and more than willing to put herself out there. And when she got to know Ren her loving side was able to soften him up to trust again. I may have made her sound like a girly girl but let me assure you, she can hold her own in battle. Ren and Kateri are perfect of each other. They're journey to their HEA was a rough journey but damn they totally pull it off. The intimate scenes were not as hot but I felt thier romance grow to love within a timely manner. In fact, their love story made me cry. Kenyon was good to put these two together.
She also does a wonderful job with recap and while doing so, we get the chance see other Dark Hunters. Such as Talon, Sunshine, Sasha, Urian, Alexion and I'm sure I'm not alone when I say my heart skips a beat when Ash and Nick's name is mention on the page. Nick really had softened up a bit in this book and Ash has a new look I'm not sure I like. But as he and Tory said "it will grow back". I've really missed him. I'm sure we'll get a good amount of him in the next book, "Stixx" released August 6, 2013. And my prediction is that it will be as impressive as Acheron's book. I mean, almost as impressive. =)

Soon the apocalypse will be upon us and geologist Kateri Avani is the only one who can stop it but she doesn't know how. Kateri thought her grandmother's tales were just stories but realizes they were more when she's told she alone has the power to reset the calendar and save the world. Keeping her safe is Ren, a man she's been dreaming about for years. Dreams that always end in her death. Thousands of years ago Ren Waya allowed a great evil to use his body. Regretting it ever since, Ren will do anything to protect Kateri from that same evil and keep it from once again roaming free.
Unwanted son of the Keetoowah chief and a goddess he held nothing but contempt for, Ren was abused and neglected since the day he was born. My heart broke for him as each of his memories are revealed. Rather than pity him, something he'd never want, I admired his strength and the courage it took to continue on and become the great warrior he. Even with his mistakes, and he made a huge one that still has people fearing him 11,000 years later, I adored Ren and think he's one of the most interesting Dark Hunter characters in a long time.
Kateri has just learned she must restart the calendar (think of the Mayan one) and stop the world from ending. Seeing that she's only now learning about the paranormal world and has powers that are starting to manifest, I think she handled everything rather well. It's always good when a heroine doesn't spend half the book hiding behind denial. I liked Kateri yet I can't say there's anything unique about her beyond the obvious. She's like most of the women in this series; smart, strong minded and determined to make her male see that he's worthy of love. She's still a really good heroine and someone I'd like being friends with.
When it came to Kateri and Ren's relationship, it followed a familiar path. Ren thinks he's doesn't deserve love, Kateri is set on showing him otherwise, hot sex ensues, there's some miscommunication (or lack of) along the way that comes between them and then someone nearly dies. Predictable but it was still sad and sweet to watch Kateri show Ren he's worth loving after his own family cruelly rejected him. In the end I was happy for their HEA.
There's a lot of folklore and mythology in this book. It was fascinating to see how an Atlantien goddess ended up in ancient tribes oceans away and how Ren came to have greek ancestry while being raised in a Native American tribe. It seemed odd in the beginning but it all comes together and was something I couldn't get enough of.
The world is in Kateri and Ren's hands in Time Untime and they delivered an action filled and emotionally charged story that holds you captive till the very end. It feels very much like an early Dark Hunter book and we see several familiar faces. Talon, Sundown, Sasha, Urian and more all make appearances but it was a scene with Acheron and Nick that gives hope for change between them that had this Dark Hunter fan girl squeeing for more. I think fans of the series that liked the direction the last book took will really enjoy this one.

This is a thick book - with a story that could have been written on a pamphlet. I kept waiting for it to get better - so kept plowing through it. Not only do I resent the money spent on the book - but I really resent the time spent going through repetitious memories of the male character.

It was way too focused on the mythology of the characters for me. I started skimming by chapter 2 and didn't stop until the end. It got better at times but not much better. Even the introduction Acheron and Nick couldn't save it for me. The dialogue also bothered me. I was a super fan of Kenyon's books until Acheron. After that, it went downhill. I have an OCD obsession with completing an author's series. So I have hung in there with her...but she is making it harder and harder. This is one of the better of the after Acheron books, but not by much due to the complicated background.

Thank the gods of Olympus the book's over! The only other book in this series that was as boring was Retribution. At least this book had something to do with dark hunters and the mythology that we already know.
It was too much and too slow. I don't understand why SK keeps adding new mythologies as a main thread. I get it that there may need to be a small thread, like the Sumarian mythology, but this Mayan mythology was too much and it made my head hurt.
I also didn't like the switching from present to Ren's past. There were good lead ins, so it wasn't confusing, but it was too much and slowed the plot down. Most of the flashbacks did not contribute to the plot or character development.
There were several scenes that were enjoyable, but they were far and few between. I found my self speed reading through most of the book.

Review:
I have said it before and I will gladly say it again, Sherrilyn Kenyon is by far one of my favorite author's if not my favorite author. I have no idea how she gets her inspiration and manages to still keep things fresh after writing so many books. She knows just the right time to insert her dark humor and cause me to chuckle out loud, earning me strange looks from passer by's.
I think one of the best aspects of this author is the fact that love for them, is never easy, each relationship they have had to fight for their love. It is not freely given, nor is it easy to keep once attained.
Just when I think I have heard heartbreak, Mrs. Kenyon manages to weave another Dark-Hunter's tale that has me close to tears as I imagine what they had to go through, the betrayal that as Mrs. Kenyon writes " is so foul that their soul screams in such a volume that it reaches Olympus and Artemis's temple."
I loved the different culture she has started to explore, where most people are sticking to Greek mythology, Kenyon has the daring to branch off into many different shades of pantheon's.
I also liked that Nick and Ash are starting to understand one another once again, and even though there friendship is far from fixed it seems like it is slowly getting there, giving off that nothing is beyond hope.
One of my favorite things about this author's books is that she knows how to write a fight? So many author's rush it or make it seem so fake that you can't really get into the good action scene's, Kenyon has no problem melding action and drama into one beautiful sexy package.
Love never comes easy for her characters' but you become so invested in them that you can't help but turn the page and silently root for them and wish to be able to scream at them to wake up. I am truly excited to see the transition I have heard rumor's about, of this wonderful work being put on the big screen.
Memorable Quotes: (Bare with me, I couldn't seem to narrow it down anymore lol.)
1. "One 'oh shit ' moment can undo all of our best efforts to protect this world, and there's nothing more dangerous in this existence then a moron on a mission."
2." I don't know, that man scares me." She scoffed at Rain's words. "That's not saying much, cuz. As I recall, spiders render you catatonic and even lady bugs make you scream like a girl."
Rain stiffened indignantly. "Not my fault. I promise you. If you ever saw my dad dressed like a Killer Lady Bug with my uncle Seamus for Mardi Gras, you'd be terrified of them to. Just saying. Aint nothing more scarring then two straight men in drag singing. 'It's Rainging Men' to me and telling me I was named after that song. And if that wasn't damaging enough, my mom agreed with them. It wasn't until I was old enough to realize my birth predated the song that I finally calmed down."
3. " He has to request it,but yeah. In spite of the rumors, I haven't completely gone to the dark side yet. But damn, those cookies are good.." Come to the dark side. We have cookies. Someone spent way to much time on the Internet."
4. "You look like hell buddy." (Acheron Saying to Ren.)
" Ah,damn, " Ren said, trying not to move his busted jaw any more then necessary. "All those hours in the salon wasted. I'd just got my nails done, too."
"You're so not right. "
5." How will I know when I love someone like you did Grandpa, Grammy?"
" Oh baby " She'd said, brushing Kateri's hair back from her face. " That's an easy answer. When you know you'd b e willing to lay your life down to save theirs without thought or hesitation. When five o'clock comes and they're not home like they said they'd be and you panic and cant breathe for fear they're not coming through that door ever again. When the though of laying them in ground hits you so hard, you can't breathe for it. Most of all, when something good or bad happens to you and they're the first one you want to share the news with. That's how you'll know it's love baby. There wont be any doubt whatsoever."
6. "Sharing a life with me, and making it so that even the worst days I have now are still the best days I've ever known."

I am usually a huge fan of Kenyons books and would highly reccomend them...just not this particular one. I always make it a point to finish a story from a favorite author even if I'm not quite into it, but, unfortunetly, I was so not into this one that I accidently returned it to the library without finishing it. That's never happened to me before. I began to read this and got another book that was more to my liking, so this one got put aside to be finished at a later time. I didn't even realize that I only read about half of this book until about a week after I returned it. Well, obviously, it wasn't a must read for me, but hopefully the next one will be better.

I'm not sure who wrote this, but it cannot have been Sherrilyn Kenyon. It follows none of the original Dark Hunter themes, plots, or character feels. Time Untime does not just lag in some areas, the entire novel is one giant lag. It is one thing to mix it up with pantheons and characters, it is quite another to create yet another one as was done in Retribution and Time Untime. I have been a loyal reader for years, including owning all of the previous Dark Hunter novels. I gave this novel away after reading it once, as I did with Retribution. All my other Dark Hunter novels are worn with loving finger marks from reading repeatedly. Maybe Ms. Kenyon is finally tired of the Dark Hunter series. If so, end it with the proper bang and move on. Stop trying to push out loyal DH fans with this spew of nonsense just to keep the series going.

Another amazing addition to the dark hunter series. Love the added back stories and how strongly the characters emotions are written. Might seem like a tuff read but I strongly advise to read it all the way through.

Entertaining, but not my favorite. I liked Ren. I liked Kateri. I liked them together. I just wish they had... more. It is a bit interesting how SK merged Mayan, Cherokee, and Greek mythology. Entertaining read.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked this book. But all the native and Mayan and demon and whatever was so confusing that I decided to concentrate on Ren and Teri and forget that I did not understand the rest of the story. While I read and noted all the negative reviews, I still decided to read the book. Ren is the usual misunderstood and unloved hero and Teri is his savoir. That is all I needed to know and so I thoroughly enjoy reading this story. If it were not for all the confusing characters and names,I would have given this a five star rating.

I want to say that I love the Dark Hunter series. Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favorite authors. The characters are three-dimensional and I fall right into the stories--usually. Time Untime is similar to Retribution in that I really did not care about the characters and the plots felt like filler. The appearance of Acheron and other players from the main books seem cursory, as if the author knew that without them the books would in no way be linked to the rest of the series. Instead of considering these two books as additions to the series, I always think of them as "other"; some substandard books written by some author who is desperately trying to be like Kenyon. I hope that she gets back to how she was writing before or expands in another direction because this way clearly is not working.

I use to love all of Kenyon's books, I do not know what has happened but they are no longer worth hardcover prices.
You HAVE to read the previous book, or this one in unreadable. I think she has forgotten all of the characters that her fans have come to love. There is no chemistry between the hero and heroine and the book is boring.
I do not know if she is rushing her books, or none of her editors are telling her that the book is not any good.
Sorry Sherrilyn, I will not be buying any of your hardcover books, and might not even buy it in paperback if the reviews are as bad as this one.
Hopefully you will get back on track to being the author I know you are.

Thought this was a refreshing twist on the DH series. I loved the way some of the former DHs and Ash are entwined and then Nick gets thrown in the plot - WOW! This could open a whole new DH door.
It did get a bit confusing at times and I had to re-read a couple of pages.
No matter whether Greek, Roman, Mayan, or other ancient mythology, there are gods and goddesses 's and the commonality of good vs. evil that make all these books interesting and fun.
Looking forward to her next DH novel.

I'll try to avoid spoilers but I may have one or two. I'll mark them before I get too specific.
Let me get this out of the way, it is a very good book. Sherrilyn Kenyon is a helluva a writer. I think all of her Dark-Hunter books are, at the very least, highly enjoyable reads. She unfailingly turns out well-written books. I have no complaints about her writing, structure, or action. If you like SK's books- then this will make you very happy. If you aren't familiar with her work, this is probably not the place to start only because she has a painstakingly crafted inner mythology and story arc to her books. Start at the beginning- it is well worth your time and money. Just make sure you have a week or two handy to disappear from the world and your loved ones. She is the best and most addictive time-suck. If you like paranormal romances, I'm just shocked that you haven't already read twenty of her books. (Also, don't limit her to just paranormal romance. She does action very well. And the Dark-Hunter stories are fairly epic in their scope, so labeling her with some sci-fi is not entirely inaccurate.) At the very least, read the book prior to this- Sundance and Abigail's. It is kind of a companion piece.
I rarely bother with story summaries- others do it better and I tend to get bogged down in the details I love. Sometimes, the trees are just prettier than the forest.
Okay, I totally recommend the book. I do. It was an enjoyable read. I loved seeing Ash again. I just love Ash. I liked the Ash/Nick interaction. There are tons of reasons to read this book- especially for a fan. But, it wasn't perfect. It doesn't detract from the enjoyment of this particular book, though. I just felt that the inner mythology of the Dark-Hunters is getting a little too unwieldy to understand. And this book didn't help the overall story arc very much. As a stand-alone Dark-Hunter book? Absolutely. As a an important piece in the Dark-Hunter mythology? Not so much.
For her long-time fans, this feels very, very familiar. I think "Acheron" is probably my favorite book of hers and there are striking similarities between this book and "Acheron" (and probably others). And the problem is that "Acheron" was a helluva a book. A work of art. Her best work. So, any comparison to it ultimately fails as a lesser book. The Chief and his two sons. One born of Gods. One marked by inhuman differences. People trying to kill the babe. I could go on and on. I kept noting them as I read them. And, I couldn't get past the similarities between Tori and Teri (Soteria and Katari). Except, I think Tori is just a better, more fleshed out character. As was Acheron when compared to Ren. Aside from the fact that Ash and Tori got a lot more pages, it seemed we had a lot more interaction between the hero and heroine to break down the wall (in a believable manner) surrounding the hero. They had a fuller courtship which resonates more. Ren fell pretty quick. So this book seems a little pale in comparison.
Next, I'm confused. I've read all the Dark-Hunter universe books and I'm not a dummy. In my defense, it is a complicated universe. Everyone now belongs to a different pantheon. Each pantheon has its own ultimate harbinger of doom. And an Apocalypse bringer. And a Mother of the Apocalypse. Or just a sneaky end of the world nihilist. And then there are all the quick triggers to end the world. Kill Artemis- the world ends. Kill Apollo- the world ends. Fail to be in Vegas by 11:30- the world ends. And then there are the pantheon subsets. You have the Dream Hunters. You have the Daimons & Stryker (who seem to be the least of anyone's problems anymore). You have the Gallu. The Charonte. The Apollites. The Demons. Nick. The Sephiroth. Noir and Azura. That guy with two colored eyes - the deal-maker with the mysterious master (when are we getting his book, I like him?) All that underworld stuff we got in Vane's brother's book. The Cthonians (and WHEN are we getting Savitar's book, dammit!) It keeps going. I'm just getting more and more confused. I feel like I have to re-read twenty books to keep it all together in any semblance of order. Is there any order? I'm not even sure if I know who the bad guys are anymore. It seems that it is getting too complicated, that none of the threads are getting followed up. It is a little frustrating. I want answers!
That said, the addition of the American Indian mythology is a little frustrating. That does not mean it isn't interesting and make a very good basis for the individual story. This is a good book. But, I'm just more confused when it is added to the overall mythology of the Dark-Hunters.
I will warn readers, that Sundance's book is suddenly more important. As I didn't like that book as much, I've never re-read it since last year. So, I've forgotten loads. Which probably didn't help with this book. All I remember is Choocolata's name which always makes me sing Lady Marmalade in my head with Christina Aguilera singing, after I read that name, "Mocha Chocalata ya ya".
SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel like I can't critique this book's plot until I've read Sundance's book again. And, I'm not sure if that bothers me. You do sign up for the long haul when you become a Dark-Hunter fan. However, having the entire story relating to your hero and heroine in one book is more satisfying. It seemed like a lot of Ren's life and past was too complicated and a little vague. When was he mortal? When did he encounter the Grizzly Spirit? When did he leave Grizzly. When was the fight with the First Guardian? When did he hold Coyote? When did he die as a mortal? When did he enter Artemis' service? How long was he a Guardian? And the Thunderbird stuff? Is that a real thing? Is he a God or God-like creature? How are Coyote and Choocolata still alive? I felt his story was presented in a very non-linear fashion through Teri's visions and that confused me a bit. I hope it is Sundance's book because I am going to re-read that.
MORE SPOILERS!!!!!!!
And, two outright critiques. It seemed fairly simplistic that Ren could get out of his debt to Grizzly so easily. Huh? Grizzly doesn't seem like such a bad-ass now. And, what was with Teri's vision of the destruction of their little escape party from the Mayan hell? Where did that go? Yes, I remember that her visions don't always come true because other things happen- but what intervened? Did I miss something?
END OF THE SPOILERS!!!

Another of SLK's "Spirit Walk" books. So disappointing, and just plain boring, and confusing. Past, present, future, this incarnation, that incarnation; my head is spinning. These last 2 books have been like watching the long, slow, painful, death of an outstanding series. Is this really the end of the "Dark Hunter" series? I'll say the same thing, I said about last years disappointment. Just because you call it a "Dark Hunter" book, does not make it one; even if your the author. The "Dark Hunter" series has certain characteristics; namely, Ash, Simi, sanctuary, Artimis, Nick, and so on. These last 2 book have had little, if nothing, to do with the "Dark Hunter" world. SLK is a wonderful writer, and certainly knows how to tell a tale. Unfortunately, she hasn't told any I've been interested in, for the last 2 years.

This is my first book from this author. It was shelved on my library's Hot Picks List. I always finish a book even if I don't like it. Two-thirds through this book, I decided it was not worth my time. I was looking forward to being spell-bound. The cover looked so good and so on.... As I began reading, I kept asking myself is this a philosophy book or what?
The tone is preachy. I got fed up with Ren being so abused as a child. All right, all ready. I get it, stop using the same concept with different words over and over and over again.
The "B" word does not bother me when used appropriately. This author seemed to be trying for a rated R. The different characters were confusing, along w/ the confusing names that you can't pronounce and the sentences were convoluted.
What a disappointment!!!

This book deals with Mayan mythology, which was a nice change of pace. We are treated to a little more expansion into this universe with several Dark Hunters gaining more story. A few typos in this book, but still a rest read.

** Some Spoilers Ahead **
I'm normally a fan of SK books - especially the Darkhunters - but this is getting a little boring. All her latest books read the same way: tortured hero, which is okay, but not when they are all tortured in the same way.
Lately, it seems like all her heroes were abandoned/abused as children and so do not trust anyone, until the heroine shows up to sacrifice herself form him.
It seems like a lot of the newer DH stories are following this same path, with only the names and nationalities of those involved changing from book to book (Romans here, Greeks there, etc). There's no variety - every hero in every book is abused then betrayed/killed. How about a book about a hero who isn't so messed up in the head? I enjoyed Ash's story, and a bunch of the others, but a little change up once in a while would be nice.
I swear this read like an Ash-light story, only we'd never really gotten the chance to know the hero before so I didn't really care all that much about him, plus we've already gotten the Ash story (which was so much better than this one).
I also agree with another review that said these later books are becoming too confusing - too many different pantheons, too many characters to keep track of. It's getting to a point where I need to make a chart to figure out all the different relationships.

I'm a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon. I've read almost all of the Dark Hunter series. I particularly like Acheron. So, I am was extremely disappointed in this latest edition. Once I start a book, I almost always finish it even if I'm not really enjoying it. However, the beginning of this book was so confusing and ridiculous I could not continue reading it. I actually asked for a refund for this book which I have never ever done. So, save your money and read anything else.

This was a terrible book compared to SK'S others. Weaving the Native American mythology into the story is interesting, but it's hard to read it and have it seem believeable after having read all the other books with the Greek mythology theme. Apart from that whole mess, the dynamic between the two main characters, seriously? Could it be any worse and fake? They know each other for 2 days and are instantly in love, despite the fact that they really don't know each other at all. The love scenes (I do realize this isn't erotica) are the worst that I've ever read in any romance book. The book would have been ten times better without them, instead it really dragged the entire book down and made me think, "wow, I hope I never have a sexual experience like that." No heat, no emotion. I don't want to be told what to think and feel, I want to feel it, and SK definitely didn't deliver in this book. This also would have been a better book had it been cut down to the two thirds the length and put in an anthology.

Im getting to the point where I may just not read these anymore. I love love love when she does the Greeks and the pantheon but we seem to constantly veer off course from there and end up out in left field. I thought that after Acheron was out of the box we would get more Greeks and how they evolved like they did but instead we now have Indians. Really!? This makes no sense. Hate to say it but this is one book that confuses and just isnt grabbing my attention. Im about 100 pages in and still its bored me and cant even keep me. Maybe the next book will get my attention more. I got too many books to read to waste it on a bad one at this point. To the cyber unknown this will go. Dont waste your money go to the library or borrow it from someone if you really must read it.

Many millennia ago, Ren Waya was the Keetoowah warrior Guardian chosen to keep hell sealed while resetting the celestial calendar. Instead his closet friend, half-brother Coyote killed him. However, Ren returned as an acrimonious angry Dark Hunter.
Her late grandmother left Kateri Avani with a precious stone to protect as the Keeper of legend. She scoffs at her grandma's superstition until beasts like nothing she ever saw before attack her. When she meets Ren, Kateri recognizes him as the man who has haunted her dreams seemingly forever. However, she is not sure whether he is her fantasy savior-lover keeping her safe or the beast that kills her. With a depressed sense of déjà vu, Ren knows what he must do to keep the malevolence from arising but sacrificing his heart may save a world but kill him all over again as the Time Untime to reset the calendar is coming.
The latest Dark-Hunter urban fantasy (see Retribution and The Guardians) is a great fast-paced suspense thriller that uses the Mayan prophecy to great effect. Kateri is a wonderful scientist in distress unsure whom she should trust; while Ren is a fascinating haunted protagonist who has played this tune before but prays for an identical big picture ending and a better personal outcome. Fans will enjoy the countdown as time runs out.

Apocalypse Now! Ren Waya has come back from the dead to stop a prophecy - one of his own. To do so he must kill the one person he can't. His love Kateri Avani.
I loved Ren & Kateri's story. It definitely has a different feel to it - compared to the New Orleans stories. But altogether an exciting tale with characters (loved seeing Talon again) showing up from previous books. Time Untime is fresh, action packed with great romantic elements. For me this series never gets old, this is book number 17 in the series and it's still a joy to spend time in Ms. Kenyon's Dark-Hunter world.
Time Untime is narrated by Holter Graham. It took me a while to take a liking to his voice, but I'm loving it now. He does an excellent job, hopefully Mr. Graham will continue to narrate the Dark-Hunter books.
***Before reading Time Untime I would suggest reading Retribution first.

I like myths realistically pushed into the present, but this jumble of cultures stumbling all over each other is just chaotic nonsense. There's a sexy paranormal romance, if you're into that, but as a story, it's mostly the past colliding in deathless battles that recur without resolution until someone somehow dies. I was mostly confused, though I appreciated a few redeeming social values (like supporting a stutterer and overcoming bullying).

Though not as heart-wrenching as a few other of her books in this series, Kenyon's story of Ren was still a unique one to read. The stories and legends of the Maya, Native Americans, and First People are well worth their own tale in this novel that once again pits good and evil against each other, as well as highlights how the powers of envy and love can shape one's destiny.

I got this from the library because so many people told me it was awful. Well I disagree. This book was one of my favorites of the series. It had an actual story unlike some of the previous books that basically revolved around sex with a bad guy thrown in. That being said it made the love between Ren & Kateri more belivable.

I love my dark hunter series, but this....was bad for me. Normally I can NOT put down a Kenyon book and finish it the day I start. Can't say that for this one. It took 4 days and that's including all that I skipped over. Shame. Maybe because I haven't read the previous books in LONG time, I was found myself constantly saying..."why am I reading about this nobody Ren? who the heck is he?" (after skimming a few reviews, I was vaguely reminded that he was mentioned in another book) Since I am a fan of Greek mythology in general, unfortunately all the Mayan references were beyond snooze-ville. And the very FEW sex scenes were quite sub par in comparison to previous previous steamy romances. Speaking of romances, I sooooo did not get Ren and Kateri. This book was so boring for me and a serious struggle to finish. Highly disappointed. And am I tripping or is Nick like....not acting like the Nick we've come to know?? So very sad about the pedestal I put this book on before reading it. I returned it as soon as I was done. Now I must wait...again...and hope not to be disappointed.

Since the Dark Hunter books began straying away from Greek mythology into Native American folklore my interest in continuing to read further books in this series has steadily declined. Too many new characters suddenly introduced that hadn't been mentioned from the first book in the series up until just recently who are involved in ancient prophesies and conflicts stretching back to ancient Mayan civilization. This made it difficult to follow who is doing what to whom, for what reason, and to care enough about the outcome to continue reading.

I finally got time to finish Time Untime and while it is a little different from other Dark Hunter books, it was still great! Love learning a little about the Native American and Mayan myths as I do not know them as well as the Greek/Roman/Norse that I grew up reading about. Nice seeing some of the older characters pop in for a visit here and there too. I love the character Kateri and the way she thinks. Rain shows up and he is hilarious. Anyway just wanted to say that I think this was a great book and Way To Go Sherri!

I've enjoyed the majority of the Dark-hunter series but have to say this is pretty dreadful. It's not only that the story is pretty light but it's the way the characters speak that is so badly done. Calling your new man "sweetie" all the time, really? It's just seems like the pages are being thrown out and just seems to be written on the surface. Maybe the author has lost her spark as the books certainly seem to have.

I loved Retribution and Time Untime. Thought it was a beautiful twist to the storyline. She did an amazing job combining the native mythology along with the Greek. Loved the little bit of Celtic and lately the Egyptian she has thrown in. One of the best parts of Sherri I adore is she is not stuck in one mythos. She is diverse so you never know what isgoing to happen.
It also helped that I have been able to see more of my smexy Sasha in the last two books.

Kenyon needs to fire her proofreader. I lost track of how many spelling errors and instances of incorrect/missing punctuation I came across in this book. And the story itself was nothing spectacular, much like the previous one. I think I'll be waiting for the paperbacks (preferably a cheap used one!) of her Dark-Hunter books in the future.

Once again SK has written an excellent story continuing the Dark-Hunter theme. Too bad it was not released before December 21st to give us all a little trepidation of our future. This story, from the beginning flowed and toyed with our imaginations. Although I do not feel any book in this series will ever be as good as Ash's story, this was well done. Enjoy.

I love the dark-hunter series and am so glad Ms. Kenyon decided to delve into the Native American and Mayan cultures to keep the series alive. This story was definitely another dark hunter hit in my book. I love how she keeps you engrossed all the way to the end. Ren and Kateri are great characters, and I absolutely love the epilogue.

******Some Spoilers Alert************
Let me start by Saying....I was turned on to this Series & Sherrilyn Kenyon by a Co-Worker. And I've Read Every Dark-Hunter Book in the Series and Loved them All Some More than Others...and I've also Read Kenyon's Chronicles of Nick Series...and I Loved that as well and Can't Wait to Read "Inferno" the 4th novel in the CON Series in March 2013. I REALLY LIKED REN & KATERI and VERY MUCH ENJOYED THIS book....BUT I have Some Questions...Like I Thought Talon was Scottish Not British?? and on Kenyon's web site it says for (Time Untime) under Hints is says we'd meet Talon & Sunshine's Baby I Listened to the WHOLE Book Yesterday and heard No mention of their baby? did I MISS this?? Ok I did MISS this part (my Bad) it does mention their Son (declen) in chapter 7 ....
it also Says That Acheron is BACK in a BIG way and there's a Major Surprize with him?? the ONLY thing Different that I Heard was he Got HIS hair Cut...Did I MISS something??
Cabeza (Dog og War) new character it says on Kenyon site he would make an IMPRESSIVE Entrance OK...I Agree with that I LIKED him!!
it also Said Sasha would return he was in Zarek's Book he was Astrid's Friend (Zarek's Wife) was Nice to See a returning Character I liked Sasha's Character.
It also said there would be a few More Surprizes, And were Talking BIG Surprizes. Hmmmm.... What Were They???
I LOVE Kenyon's WRITING and THESE 2 SERIES and will Continue to READ BOTH....
Oh and there was Suppose to be Some MAJOR Reveal About NICK?? As he and ASH Work Together for the First time in a While. OK they did work together, which I Was Glad to See! So what was the MAJOR Reveal???? it also said there WAS Suppose to be a BIG Confrontation Between Nick and ASH I was thinking a different kind of confrontation...
and it Said that Jess & Abby are back with MAJOR NEWS?? what was it?? the Major News is....Makayla Now I See I did miss things and Jess was Buffalo Reincarnated and Abby was Reincarnated Butterfly....
and it said Learn More about Choo's Relationship with Ren....I Agree with that WE Did....
OoooooH and there's a BIT About ARTEMIS that will BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY....I DID NOT HEAR ANY MIND BLOWING THING About ARTEMIS???????was it when Artemis Swore to Protect Ren when he was little and lied to ZEUS??? if that's it that's not all that Mind Blowing..Artemis is always Doing Selfish and Stupid things! she only does things when there's something in it for her..and doing this was Only done to Protect her own behind....
SO.....I am Starting OVER and Listening to the WHOLE Book Again today to See if I Just Missed these things or What??????
and one More thing "SIMI" where was she?? how can ASH be there and NO Simi she's Part of HIM!! she was Only a passing thought of ASH'S in this Book....

This is the first book I've read by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Too difficult to follow-maybe because I haven't read the others or maybe it is just too complicated. I haven't finished it and it is unlikely that I will.

Time Untime was horrible! Kenyon where are you girl! Please get back to the actual Dark Hunter series! Or just end it and start a new series. But don't call it Dark Hunter when it is not! Very misleading and sad! DAMN!

I have all the books on this series and love them, I gave this one four stars because the stories have turned predictable, but I like the plots and I like to read about the other characters from the other books in the new ones.

Ren and Kateri are great characters, and I absolutely love the epilogue.

sorry Ms. Kenyon, you dropped the ball on this one.
I had to stop reading at chapter 3.
I had to force myself to finish reading Retribution but I refuse to do it with this one.
I have read everyone of the dark hunter books as well as the dream hunter ones.
and I loved everyone of them until now.
this one made no sense at all.
and i am native american and I am also aware of the myths and customs,
but most of this was confusing as hell.
I am sadly disappointed with this one.
I sure hope the ones that come after this one are better.

I have been looking forward to Ren's story. He captivated the moment I read the glimpse of his past. Kenyon has a unique way of mixing the patheons from across the world. You have to keep your mind open and not keep your ideas closed on old myths. Its annoying to see people being so negative towards Kenyon when less worthy authors are so loved. So stay with her Menyons and stop losing faith in her she knows what she's doing.

Title says it all. I actually got a headache reading this book. I only finished it to see if Ash made an appearance near the end. Seriously Mrs Kenyon you just had to work in the DoomsDay scenario? I am still trying to figure out the time/untime part.
This book is a jumble to thoughts that just rambles on and on. There is just too much crap to mention and to be honest it is just not worth the time. It is as bad as the last laurel hamilton novel.

very good, love this series. I read mostly paranormal and this is one of my favorites. The book holds your interest all the way through and makes you wish the next book was sitting next to you to continue the story.!
