The Malone family legend of finding a soulmate and being able to share thoughts, emotions and even memories with that person was awesome. I liked Amara as an heroine , she was strong and opinionated.Rory was devoted to Amara right from start but did have a cocky way of showing it.
Although I never felt the urge to skim, this was bogged down with too much inner dialogue and I'm not a fan of the countless flashbacks throughout the book.
At times they felt a bit disjointed and it was hard to keep track of the time jumps. It also felt like we missed out on what attracted these two and ultimately brought them together to begin with. The emotional connection was missing. We're told they love each other but we don't actually get to see them falling in love.
The mystery behind Amara's abduction had a few twists and turns I didn't see coming but was a bit rushed towards the end. Things were tied up too neatly and in the end felt anticlimactic.
Would I recommend? Lora Leight writes good romantic suspense with action and a lot of mystery and intrigue. Although not my favorite,I'm sure fans will like this new spin off series.

I have been waiting for Rory Malone’s book since Noah’s book and again in Jordan’s book. Again, Lora doesn’t disappoint. Her suspense kept me guessing and the heat between Amara and Rory was hot hot hot. The story opens after Amara was kidnapped and Rory is saving her, with the help of his brother’s Elite Ops team, during which Rory is injured badly as is Amara. The story jumps six months to when Amara seeks him out, worried about continued threats to her life but she has amnesia for the past year, not remembering Rory but knowing he is important.
Rory comes back into Amara’s life, not as her bodyguard but as her lover, refusing to be her dirty little secret any longer, vowing to not only save her life but claim her as his own. But he must first struggle first her own amnesia and help her remember the bond they had before they could commit to each other again, all the while figuring out who in their inner circle could want both of them dead.
As with all of Lora’s books, this book had plenty of steam and heat to satisfy anyone. But it also had suspense, twists and turns and the emotional depth between the two characters that made me root for the characters and fall in the love with them. The story was unexpected and takes the world of Elite Ops in a new direction and I can’t wait for more!

Rory and Amara were ripped apart six months ago. He had just rescued her from her abductors but was gravely injured in the process. Afterwards Amara cannot recall anything of the previous 6 months or her burgeoning romance with Rory.
Fast forward 6 months and Amara is plagued by snippets of memories and dreams of Rory. She manages to track him down and demands to know what went on between them. Rory has given Amara enough time to recuperate, he is ready to claim her as his and to hell with her trying to keep them secret from her former Russian Mob father.
But someone wants Amara dead and she has already managed to evade death..can she keep ducking those who want her dead?
Amara captures your imagination as she tried to piece together her missing months and struggles with her overwhelming feelings for Riordan. Riordan has the trifecta for the superb hero - Possessive, Persistent and Protective. He'll do whatever he can to keep Amara safe , even if it means allowing her to risk her safety and possibly her sanity to do so.
Lots of secondary characters keep your head on swivel, never really knowing who was the "bad guy" until the big reveal. Superb story, great characters and I want to read the next book NOW!

This is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading from this author and am amazed by her writing. She will definitely be on my list of top authors to one-click. This story will pull you in from the first chapter, keep you guessing, throw a few twists at you and leave you satisfied with the end.
Amara- Powerful daughter of a man

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
This book could be considered a spin-off of the Elite Ops series as many of the characters are revisited in this book. Its been a while since I've read the Elite Ops series and I think I would have benefited from a re-read to familiarize myself again with all the characters.
There is a lot going on in this book: torture, betrayal and memory loss.
Riordan Malone works for Elite Ops and during one his missions he fell in love with the beautiful Amara Resnova. While doing a side job for her father, Amara is kidnapped and during the rescue, Riordian is hurt. Now, six months later Amara shows up on his door and the only thing she knows is that he is the only one who can protect her from the people who are still trying to kill her.
Riordian doesn't understand what caused Amara's memory loss or her father's lack of concern about her safety. Not trusting anyone else with her safety, Riordian is determined to get to the people who are targeting his lover.
Lots of twists and turns that makes you want to keep reading until all hours of the night.

Lora Leigh has long been a favorite of mine, and I was excited to see she had this new series. Once I started reading though I figured out this is a spin off of her Elite Ops series. I've read books from the Bound Hearts and Men of Summer series, but never the Elite Ops, so while I didn't feel left behind, I did wish I had all the prior knowledge of these characters. I especially want to know about Noah, so his Elite Ops book has already been added to my wish list.
This story was fabulous! It was crazy sexy and beyond hot. It also had plenty of sustained tension and suspense. Through circumstances beyond their control, Amara and Riordan have been separated and turned against one another. A trauma has left Amara with altered memories and the inability to trust her feelings for Riordan. Her life is in danger though, so she needs him and his protection.
I loved Riordan's super bossy sexy take over alpha ways, and I also adored the way Amara gave flak right back to him. The Malone Irish curse/blessing was a great touch as well and really caught my interest. Now I'm hooked on these characters and need to read through Elite Ops series.
Net Galley provided an ARC.

Gifted read by Netgalley for an honest review.
I really liked the plot of this book, however the execution was discombobulated.
From the first chapter it felt like I was missing something, like this was the second book of a continued story. It was as if you the reader was plopped down in the middle of a story and characters you should already know and have a connection with. But you didn't!
I really liked the characters and the storyline, I just felt lost throughout the book. Had the execution been done differently this would have been an amazing read.
Romantic suspense, sexy times, intrigue, danger and a strong male and female lead should equal a great book! Sadly the characters alone couldn't get me there due to the lack of connection with the way this story was put together.
You can't just jump into a story and characters without some background without some knowledge of what the heck was going on! It was like the reader wasn't let in on this big secret of the background story.
Such potential :( 2.5 stars but soo could have been a 4star read.

Amara has lost a year of her life and now someone is trying to kill her. Will dreams lead to her salvation or her death?
Collision Point is first in a new series by Lora Leigh. While this is a new series, it is an off shoot of Ms. Leigh's Elite Ops' series and may of the characters make an appearance. I enjoyed meeting Amara. She is protecting those she loves but it comes at a price. I adored Riordan. He loves Amara and is now ready to take what is his. But can he protect her from the unknown? This story by Ms. Leigh pits Riordan against Amara's memory loss, even as evil stalks her. Can he find what she has hidden, even from herself? I loved seeing Riordan fight for Amara, even against Amara herself. I loved his determination to protect and have Amara in his world. Amara is equally determined to protect those she loves...even if she doesn't know who from. This story by Ms. Leigh is full of unexpected twists. I enjoyed Riordan and Amara's journey toward a happily ever after. And I can't wait to see where Ms. Leigh will take us in this new world she is creating.

Collision Point is a super sexy romantic suspense novel that hooks you from the first page and must be read in one sitting. Amara knows she's in danger and the only person she trusts is someone she cannot really remember. She hunts down Riordan from finding his face in her father's security files, the face that haunts her dreams and nightmares. She begs him to protect her from the menace she can feel. The soul deep bond they formed before she was abducted pulls them sensually together again as the danger builds around them. Amara's memories return slowly as the plot twists and turns to the truth of who tried to kill her and how deep the betrayal really goes. The story is very sensual without losing the plot with memorable characters. An alpha male hero and the strong willed woman, who loves him, battle their way through memory loss and danger to find their HEA. The story ends with the feeling that the danger is not over and will be continued into future installments in the series. Enthralling and engaging, the story draws the reader in to a fast-paced, sensuous journey. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

This is the first in the author's new Brute Force series and its a great start.
When Amara, daughter of a Russian mob boss approaches Rory to protect her from someone who is trying to kill her, she doesn't realize he was her bodyguard/lover before her kidnapping. But the intervening year is a blank-she doesn't remember the kidnapping, her rescue, or anything else. While Rory isn't happy that she doesn't recall him, there's no way he will let anything threaten the woman he loves. He returns to her father's house, hoping to rekindle their romance while keeping her safe.
I liked Amara. She is kind, concerned about others, and is willing to stand up for herself. Rory is a suitable mate for her, strong, sure and protective.
The author takes you on a convoluted adventure ride, and draws the readers right into the story. As always Lora Leigh is a master story teller with sex scenes hot enough to leave scorch marks on your e-reader. She draws her characters with a fine hand and makes you care what happens to them. I look forward to future books in this series.

Riordan “Rory” Malone is a force to be reckoned with. A member of the Brute Force Protection Agency and an operative working with the Elite Ops, Rory is the fiercest of the warriors and protectors. Honed from the strong Irish stock of their grandfather and sharpened to a razor’s edge, Malone men live for one single purpose: to protect the women who own them, body and soul. From the moment he saw Amara Resnova, he knew she could be that woman.
Let me start off by saying that Lora Leigh has been one of my favorite authors for years. That being said, I found some issues that really bugged me in this book. This is probably the first time I’ve given one of her books less than a 5 star. Unfortunately I felt that Amara’s character did a 360 from her initial conversation with Rory to when he was guarding her and it kept happening throughout the story. It didn’t deter from it too much and I still devoured the book as quickly as her others, but in the end it just wasn’t as good as her other books.

OMG! This book has it all.. sex, lies, secrets, surprises, and suspense. I can always count on Ms. Leigh to write fabulous stories. Be prepared to be on the edge of your seat and need a cold shower. This is the first book in a new series with some old friends.
Amara is part Russian and is kidnapped and beaten. When she awakes in the hospital, she has lost her memories going back almost a year. Riordan. works for Brute Force Security and is Amara’s bodyguard and lover before she is taken. He is shot during her rescue and takes awhile to get back on his feet. She goes looking for Riordan because there have been some incidents involving her life being in danger. She finds her by looking in her fathers files. She is starting to remember bits and pieces but not who kidnapped her.. The danger is closer than they think and the memories are coming back faster. Can Riordan keep her safe and not lose his heart or was his heart lost the first time he seen her?

I’ve been a fan of Lora Leigh since my first Elite Ops book but this one didn’t manage to grab me like those did. When I saw an opportunity to read an early copy in a new series, I was excited to read Collision Point, but I felt like the book assumed I had a lot of background information about some of the characters, which is fine as long as the reader has read the other stories recently. The plot was interesting and the characters were strong and likeable, but there may have actually been too much sex, so it got in the way of the story, rather than supporting it and moving things forward. I do love the idea of soul mates, and how it was portrayed, and the fact that the Malone men know when they meet “the one.” Although this one was a little work to read, I am interested in seeing what comes next in the Brute Force series.

A very interesting love story between bodyguard Riordan and Amra Russian ex-mafia daughter. A well-written story with full of suspense mystery and hot hot hot scenes between former lovers Riordan and Amra. Amra lost her memory and she doesn't remember what happened for the past year so she asks Riordan for help not knowing that he was more than a bodyguard to her. Someone wants Amra dead and Riordan is prepared to sacrifice his life again for the woman he loves. The story has an element of supernatural. I loved how until the end we didn't know why or who wants Amra dead that we discovered through her and with her about the life she was unable to remember. Amra and Riordan are both developed characters, interesting. I liked Riordan's eagerness to make Amra his the alpha male in him. I liked that Amra was not hundred percent devoted to Riordan until she didn't have her memories back and was capable to control her father and Riordan.

"Collision Point" is the first in the Brute Force series by Lora Leigh, but this is not a series that stands on its own precisely. It seems to be a spin off of the Elite Forces books by the same author, as references are made to characters and relationships that were clearly the focus of previous books. The plot of 'Collision Point' stands on its own, but I would caution readers against starting with this book. It's not that the backstory of the other characters is *necessary* per se, but there are references and details that I'm sure I didn't pick up on, since I've only read the Breed series by this author. Overall, I think readers will get more out of this book and enjoy it a lot more having connected with these characters previously (especially since I suspect the male lead is someone whose HEA fans have been anticipating).
The book itself was interesting - decent pacing, well constructed from a technical standpoint (and the few places where it wasn't perfect I'm willing to ignore because I was reading an uncorrected proof) and generally well written. Characters were three dimensional and engaging, and the suspense elements were well placed. This is most definitely a novel that trends more toward the erotic end of the spectrum - lots of explicit sex scenes, which is something Lora Leigh does in most (if not all) her work so I doubt most people will be surprised by it.
Overall I found the book an enjoyable way to pass the time. As a vacation, plane ride or bus commute book, this is a solid option and one that I think a number of fans will enjoy.

I give this 4.5⭐️
I personally loved this book. Lora Leigh didn’t disappoint once again. Wow! I truly had no idea who it was until the end. I loved the mix of mystery and suspense with some romance and hot sex mixed in. There were a few times when I wished there would have been a bit more but overall I would recommend this book to friends!
For those who haven’t read Lora Leigh you can absolutely read this as a stand alone. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books and this series.

I enjoyed this first book of this series & look forward to seeing what happens next. This focuses on Amara & Riordan. It starts off with a bang at Amara's rescue from a kidnapping. Riordan is there & is shot. Then we go to six months later. Amara is trying to recover the memory she has lost from a year before the kidnapping to the present. She approaches Riordan because he has appeared in her dreams (sometimes very erotic dreams). She wants answers as does he. We find out their back story as the book unfolds. They have a very steamy connection. Ivan, Amara's father, is keeping things from her & she doesn't like it. Amara is determined to figure out who took her. There's a lot to Ivan's story that I think the surface has just been scratched. The twists & turns throughout this book are exciting & keeps you guessing. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens & to prepare for book two.

Book one in the Brute Force series kicks off with a sizzling romance, action, and intrigue. Riordan turned out-almost as alpha as his big brother Nathan Malone/Noah Blake (H in Wild Card). He’s overprotective and has a mouth on him in the bedroom, but there’s still a gentleness about him you can’t miss. His love interest, Amara had me thinking diminutive princess in charge with some attitude..then again, she’s the daughter of a former, seriously overly protective Russian mobster. I found both characters to be smart and attractive, but they have some rather..large personal issues to overcome. The fireworks that resulted were pretty big, very hot, and definitely sweaty:)
Elite Ops members also had a decent side role! Getting to see some of the guys and catch up with them, along with Grampops..win/win! I’m hoping to see more of the guys in further installments.
I have to say, I’m really curious to see where this series will go next!

Lora Leigh hit another one out of the ballpark with Collision Point, loved it. As per her usual this book was full of angst, suspense & sexual fire right from the start. This book was an edge of your seat, not wanting to put it down read. The chemistry between Riordan & Amara was combustible right from the start. The heartbreak of loss & damage from brutally pushes Amara to block the last year from her mind, but with a killer after her she turns to the only person she feels a safe connection to...Riordan. Riordan for the last 6 months has been battling back from death with a determination to get his soul & Amara back. With his brother & their teams behind him they race against time to figure out who is behind everything that’s happened to Amara. I loved The Elite Ops series & this series looks to be as interesting & suspenseful as the others. Definitely recommend. I received this book from the publisher through Net Galley for an honest review.

Confusing at times. Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. Story started out with a lot of action and then lost me as it read as a historic romance and then was current times. Appeared that there was another book or storyline I wasn't aware of, but this book was listed as book 1, but references to Riordan's brother Nathan/Noah and Sabella kept popping up as if I needed to know their story before Riordan and Amara's. A lot of steamy sex scenes that became too much and took away from the story as every serious situation had them having sex that I started skimming through the scenes to get to the story and find out who kidnapped Amara and beat her so badly. Why did she lose her memory and who was ultimately behind it. Why she was mad at Riordan? It was ok. I will still give this author another shot and will leave the Brute Force Series alone.

Rory Malone is a powerful adversary. He'll protect what is his and Amara is his everything. He rescued her from her kidnappers and it nearly cost him his life. Now she's come to him desperate for his help. Someone is trying to kill her. Again. Rory and Amara have a powerful connection. I loved that even when apart they had an unbreakable bond and that when together passion flared between them. Amara's life has fallen apart. She can't remember the last year. I was touched by her circumstances. She is a brave woman. I liked Rory's family. I would like to learn more about them. Ivan Resnova, Amara's father, is such a powerful figure that he stands out. I definitely want to know his story. Lora Leigh wrote an exciting romantic suspense novel. I'm looking forward to more books in the Brute Force series.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinions.

Many thanks to the author / St. Martin's Press / Netgalley for the digital copy of this Romantic Suspense. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
Amara Resnova is the daughter of a crime lord. Due to a memory loss, she turns to Riordan Malone, an Elite Ops agent. She knows that someone is trying to kill her, but she doesn't know who ... or why.
They've met before when he fell in love with her and then broke her heart. But she's different now ... older, wiser, tougher. Riordan is still attracted, but he's afraid he's missed his only chance with her.
This book is typical Lora Leigh .. hunky guys, beautiful women, graphic sex hotter than an Arizona summer, revenge, murder. It's fast-paced, action-packed from start to finish.

This book is the first thing in the series but a spin off from the Elite Ops series by the same author. A lot of characters reappear from this series so it definitely helps to be familiar with it. I wasn’t, so it took a little more concentration to get into the new universe the author created.
This a a fascinating romance/erotica book. There are definitely a lot of “sexy times” between Amara and Riordan Malone and their chemistry is off the chart. After all, they are soulmates. The book starts with Amara being abducted and rescued by Riordan, her lover, only to find out that she forgot about him altogether later and doesn’t remember any of their time together. The plot was action filled and kept me at the edge of my seat. Also, the soulmate concept in that book is very interesting: “...the vow all Malone men give when they find their way to that one true love. The in whose soul will cling to theirs.”
I’d highly recommend this book and am looking forward to read the next story!!

Lora Leigh has been one of my favorite authors for years, and this book is exactly why. Very few authors can capture the essence of a true alpha male the way she does. When reading a romance, I love a good story and characters I can relate to, but most of all I want to fall in love.
Riordan and Amara have a history.... but it's one she can't remember. After being attacked and kidnapped, Amara has blacked out the memories from the last year of her life, including the time she spent involved with Riordan. She may have recovered physically and is working on overcoming her fears, but she can't get past the frustration of not knowing what happened and why.
Riordan knows the key to finding out who kidnapped Amara is in her memories... memories she has locked down tight. There are things he can tell her, but knows it's better for all involved if she remembers them on her own. The one thing he won't let her forget is how much they meant to each other. Their chemistry is electric and he uses the sensual nature of their relationship every chance he gets. He may have her back in his bed, but he won't be satisfied until he is back in her heart.
When danger threatens again, there is nobody better to protect Amara than the man who loves her above all else.
I adored Riordan in all his overprotective, bossy, sexy playfulness. He knew when to push and when to pull back with Amara, and wanted nothing more than to recapture what they had before her attack. Amara was a tougher nut to crack for me. I couldn't quite get a grasp on who she was and sometimes I didn't like her very much. Overall, though, this was a great book by a reliable author.

Riordan “Rory” Malone, special ops badass
Amera Resnova, lawyer and daughter of a Russian mafia figure
Rory rescues Amera from a kidnapping. He is injured in the process and isn’t able to see her for six months. She doesn’t know why he has disappeared. Amera just remembers that Rory is a special person for her. The kidnapper is still coming for her, so Rory returns to her father’s house to be her bodyguard. This book was problematic for me. I had a hard time following all the names in the story. Rory is an alpha hole. He is not my favorite hero. I loved Amera. She is wounded, but refuses to stay a victim. The author mentions a seaside resort, but the location is in New Mexico? There is lots of smexy times, but this is a Lora Leigh novel after all. You should expect nothing less.

This author knows how to make a grand entrance with a opener in a new series as she has in this one. I do love her paranormal but she does also write a mean contemporary that keeps you hanging. In this one the main characters Rory and Amara do just that from the get go. Rory is one that you just want to squeeze and not let go too. She starts this one with a bang that has you with your mouth open. Then you see why it had to when things really start rolling. The chemistry between the two melts your fingertips whenever they come together with the slow boil that will start. The danger element is also a puzzle with wondering who could possible be the culprit keeps you asking. His family has you wanting more on each of them too they also capture a readers attention. All in all this one will consume you leaving you to wonder how long until the next installment of this series.

This is the story of Riordan Malone and Amara. If you are familiar with Ms. Leigh's Elite Ops series, then you will know that this is Nathan's little brother, getting his fated mate and doing everything to protect her from some very dangerous people. The story opens up with Amara getting rescued, after being kidnapped. What happens during the kidnapping, is a series of events that caused her to lose her memory of not only Riordan, but a whole host of other things. The usual alpha OTT attitude, followed by a lot of steamy sex scenes and action filled with suspense are rife in this story. I liked this one but didn't love it. I found some repetition and Riordan's OTT attitude started to grate on my nerves. It just stopped being cute, you know? There are cameos from other characters from the Elite Ops series and maybe a book about Ivan and Syn? I hope so, Lol. 3.5 stars.

I was really excited to read this book. We last saw Rory Malone in Lora Leigh’s book, Wildcard. That book is one of my all-time favorites and is on my keeper shelf. I couldn’t wait to see how Rory matured, evolved into the leading man, and found his soul mate.
Unfortunately, the book felt a little flat for me. I feel like I was dropped into the middle of the story. The prologue started with Rory rescuing a badly beaten Amara from a cavern. She’s been abused and he’s been recently imprisoned by her father. It is clear that they are lovers. There’s no explanation of their relationship, who her father is, why he imprisoned Rory, and why she’s beaten. That was obviously covered in a previous book that I missed.
Then the first chapter starts several months later. Amara has amnesia and doesn’t remember their relationship. Rory is angry because she refused to see him months before after her rescue. I spent the first third of the book trying to put the pieces together and the remainder of the book mainly looking for scenes where Noah and Sabella were included (the main characters from Wildcard).

This is my first book by Lora Leigh, and won't be my last!
I enjoyed the way Ms. Leigh wrote the prologue! That definitely sucked me right into the book!
I loved the story line and her writing (although at times it was slightly confusing on whos POV it was, and then abruptly jumped scenes in a couple parts...nothing too serious, though) The concept of the characters was fantastic, and intriguing.
Collision Point is the first book of a new series, Brute Force. This story is of Riordan “Rory” Malone and Amara Resnova. Amara is kidnapped, and beaten, and loses a year of her memory...the time when she and Riordan were involved, unbeknownst to her father. As Amara begins to remember things, she wonders if it is remembering or dreaming. Can Riordan help her to regain their relationship now that it is out in the open?

Collision Point is the first book of a new series from Lora Leigh, Brute Force, but as I found out later, a spin off series from a previous series. Though this could be read as a standalone, there were a few things I wish I had had more of a background.
Amara is in danger, but now so is her heart. Riordan “Rory” Malone is set on helping help her, but can he keep her heart safe as well? Because she does not remember him. Rory is the definition of a strong, determined and total alpha male. He is determined to protect Amara. I loved how protective and possessive he was of her.
This story was a mix of steaminess and suspense. Rory is determined to make her remember him, even as he continues to keep her safe. As danger nears, can she remember the man that she truly loves before its too late?
Happy reading

Lora Leigh does it again! In this first installment of the Brute Force series, we finally get to see Rory get his story and his girl. From the first page, the action is in your face until the last surprise ending. Collision point could be a stand-alone for this spinoff series, but it certainly helped knowing the background of the supporting characters.
Rory is the bodyguard/boyfriend of Amara, the daughter of the Russian Resnova family. After being rescued from a kidnapping, she loses the memories of the previous year of her life but she has fleeting dreams of Rory. She tracks him down and they spend the rest of the book trying to figure out who they can trust and what happened before and after Amara's abduction.
The steamy scenes are textbook Lora Leigh and the alpha OTT actions of Rory just builds the reader up for more to this series. I can't wait to see what comes next. Syn's story, perhaps?

I received an ARC copy of this book for review. I was really excited when I saw this author was writing this book as I loved Rory from the elite ops books but was a little disappointed. While it was nice to see familiar characters like Nathan and Pos I felt the relationship between Rory and Amara felt forced. The prologue was action packed but made the rest of the story flow a little weirdly with the flashbacks/memories. While hot like most of her books are the actual relationship seemed to like substance. But there is hope as a lot of new characters were introduced with lots of possibilities for future books. While the start of a new series is often hard because of meeting new people I still feel like there were different ways do have the leads interact. Since I’m a big fan of Ms Leigh and own most of her books I still would have bought the book but not her best.

I have never read a Lora Leigh book before, but I was excited to get stuck into this book, after reading the synopsis. But I will have to say, that even though the synopsis is geared towards Riordan, the Eliete operative, who takes care of Amara, the daughter of a Russian mobsters, but the story actually is more focused on Amara, with a whole bunch of shocking surprised that are rolled in.
I actually really enjoyed the book, but in parts it was very fasted, and I stuggled to keep up with the plot, so I urge you not to read it fast. But on the whole, the story was great, the characters were intriguing, and I for one, am looking forward to the next book in the series!
I give Collision Point 4 stars.

COLLISION POINT – Lora Leigh
A Brute Force Novel, #1
St. Martin’s Press
March 2017
978-1-25-011032-9
Erotic Romantic Suspense
Colorado - Present Day
She was broken and bleeding when he found her, saved her and died.
Amara Resnova, daughter of Ivan Resnova, a man with powerful enemies, was kidnapped and tortured. But Amara remembers none of this, except in her nightmares. She lost a year of her life and no longer knows who to trust. But she dreams of a man with piercing blue eyes and man who comes to her in her dreams and chases away the nightmares with a fiery passion.
Riordan Malone nearly died saving the women he loves. After an agonizing recovery, he learns Amara wants nothing to do with him. But Riordan is not a man to take no for an answer. Once fully healed he will find her again, and not just in his dreams.
Driven to find answers to her lost memories, and sure her life is still in danger, Amara searchers for Riordan, the lover of her dreams. When she finds him, the desire for him is overwhelming. But can she trust him or is he part of a world that wants to see her dead?
Amara and Riordan strike a bargain. He will get back on her security detail to protect her from the current threats to her life and remind her that they are more than client and bodyguard, and she will learn to trust him again and remember him and the passion they shared.
COLLISION POINT is an intriguing story filled with suspense and raw passion. Amara and Riordan are well-developed characters, though he is a bit too bossy, and she is a bit too independent for a woman under threat. The dialogue flows well, and the mystery of who has tried to kill Amara unfolds slowly. The reader wonders who the true target is, Amara, her powerful father or the man who protects her and has secrets of his own.
For an exciting and sensual read, don’t miss COLLISION POINT, fans of Lora Leigh will not be disappointed.

This was a great start to a new series. It's a spin off from the Elite Ops. The long awaited story of Riordon (Rory) Malone was just as intense as I knew it would be. To have the connection of a Malone with his soulmate is like no other. Amara is that one for Riordon. This book took me on a roller coaster ride like no other. To experience what the one you love feels is exactly what the term "The ties that bind" mean. This story led me through a maze of feelings and emotions I wasn't expecting. The ending was a surprise that had me going "Are you kidding me?!" That's what I love about Lora Leigh's books. Her story telling always has me feeling all of the emotions of the characters. Another great book. I'm looking forward to the next book in the Brute Force series.#netgalley

Riordan Malone and Amara Resnova were once lovers until they had everything ripped away from them through lies and manipulation. Not only did they lose each other but the each almost lost their lives. Now Amara finds herself depending on Riordan once again to keep her safe. She can't remember everything that happened in the past but what she does know is that the passion and love they shared was all consuming. Now the more time they spend together the more the past is coming back to her and the more their love is reigniting. If they survive the current threat will they be able to get back what they lost?
This was a good and enjoyable read with lots of steam and a great romance. I would have like a little more suspense and action but overall I would recommend this one.

Lora Leigh knows how to mix her romances with hot alphas and strong women in a perfect medley of action, suspense, mystery and hot bedroom activity. I’m a big fan of the amnesia sub-plot, and reading about Amara remembering her and Riordan’s relationship and her abduction was intense, heartbreaking, scary, and uplifting. Lora did a great job keeping me guessing on who the villain was and how they fit into the plot. I second-guessed myself numerous times whenever the plot twisted in a new direction. Plus, since you were learning about Amara’s memories as she was, you were blind to a lot of the clues until the end and then bam! I was shocked. There were plenty of sexy times to enhance the plot, Riordan could not keep his hands off his lady love, Amara, and he loved the dirty talk.

For me, this was an enjoyable read. I know this is a series, Elite Ops of standalone books and I think I have read one or two of them, but have not been fully invested in the entire series. However, I happened onto this latest book which seems to be a spinoff of that series and decided to give it a try. I will definitely read more of these. Loved Riordan and his very Irish family. Amara and her family were harder for me to feel any emotions for, but the suspense plot line was good, and the story very engaging. I have liked many of Lora Leigh’s books, and this one was no exception. If you know the series, this is a definite for you, but even if you have not read any of the other stories in this series, this is a very good standalone, romantic suspense genre book.

I am not sure if it is because I have not read Ms. Leigh’s stories before (specifically Elite Ops) or if her style just does not jive with me but I had a really hard time getting into and then finishing this book. I did finish it though. The story itself was really good but I felt lost especially at the beginning and it seemed choppy. Did I come in the middle of the story? I know this is the first book in the series so I thought I would be okay but I do not know. Riordan and Amara’s trying to find their way back to each other was nice. Although I must say she had more “dreamy” moments than I have ever read in a book and having sex right in the middle of intense times was a little strange.

I was looking forward to this series, now I am happy that I only bought the first one, I won’t be continuing the series. This is the first time I haven’t finished a Lora Leigh book, made it about half way and had no interest in finishing. The characters are just blah! He just comes of as a jerk and the only thing he likes about her is that she looks good, it just doesn’t work! I didn’t like the characters, so I didn’t find their story engaging. I also hate female leads like this one, she knows someone is out to cause her harm, but goes out of her way to do stupid stuff, sometimes she seems like an adult and sometimes she seems like a spoiled teenager purposely causing problems and selfishly endangering others. Not for me.

I like Lora Leigh and have read some of her other Elite Ops and Breed series books but not that many. Luckily I did read Wild Card where Riordan "Rory" was first introduced as Noah's brother, so I at least had some information on him.
That being said, I do like this story but felt at times it was a little lost to the sex. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with sex in books at all, but when it overpowers the story sometimes it's tough for me to keep reading. I want more character development and more interactions of a vertical kind too, more guts and depth in a story. Riordan & Amara have some very hot and steamy horizontal times and the time they do spend bantering is really good just not enough of it for me. I think they are actually a perfect match!

So a lot happens in this book. You start the book 6 months earlier on a rescue mission. Rory rescues Amara but the rescue does not go smoothly. You then pick up the book 6 months later. Amara doesn't remember the last year. Amara's life is still in danger and Rory will do anything to protect the woman he loves. There is a lot of sex and sexual tension in this book, some of the sex is rough, not brutal just a little more then some people may be use to but it works for this story. The story follows with Amara getting her memory back and Rory protecting her. The ending is satisfying but also leaves it so you can add more to this story. I would read more in this series.

Lora Leigh is definitely one of my go to authors. I can always expect a great story from her. This one was probably not my favorite but also not my least favorite... fell somewhere in the middle.
There is a TON of angst in this book and it breaks your heart a bit if this is difficult for you but this story was one of those that was tough anyway. Lovers torn apart by circumstances, trying to find their way back to each other and find the connection that they once shared. Some tropes are not my fave and memory loss is one that is sort of hit or miss for me so this was a tough one.
Lots of heat though - which I personally enjoyed - but missed some of the connection to the story that I was looking for...

When I first started this one I thought I had read it before but quickly realized it was related to the Elite OP series. Amara was kidnapped and rescued and six months has passed and her memory is gone of the events of the kidnapping and all events leading up to it, however, she is still in danger. Riordan and Grandpops and the Elite Ops and Brute Force team are brought back to protect her. The amnesia was a tricky thing and the chemistry between Riordan and Amara was palpable and combustible but Riordan walking on eggshells around her at times didn't sit well. This was a typical Lora Leigh romance and full of steamy sex and that was not disappointing.

Riordan Malone was Amara Resnovas former body guard and lover. He rescued her after she was kidnapped and he almost lost his life in the process now he is back in her life but Amara has no memory of the last year of her life. Her life is still in danger and Riordan will do anything to protect her. Amara was no pushover but Riordan was a bit too much of a controlling male for my taste. Amara wasn’t afraid to call him out but he tended to try to roll right over her. There was a lot of sexual tension, which I don’t mind but I could have used a bit more focus on the plot. There was suspense in the book and the author did a good job of keeping you guessing as to who the bad guys were. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Collision is the first book in the Brute Force series by Lora Leigh! If you have read her Elite Ops series you will recognize some of the characters that show up in this series. You can, however, read this series without reading the other one.
Riordan is Nathan’s brother (Elite Ops) and is the personal bodyguard for Amara and involved in the security for her family under the scrutiny of her father. Circumstances in the past separate them, but they fight to find each other again not just physically, but emotionally. It is definitely challenging when Amara can’t remember the last year of her life.
This story is full of deception, family intrigue, hot steamy sex and a mystery to solve! This is definitely a must-read!

This is Book 1 in the Brute Force series. Riordan is rescuing Amara from a hole in the ground where her kidnappers left her. This was such an exciting book. I can honestly say that the author has another hit on her hands. She just keeps getting better and better with her books. There’s so much excitement from the beginning to the end that you just have to keep reading until you finish. I know because I didn’t get in bed until 1 am. I kept saying after the end of this chapter. That’s just how good it was. I thought I had it figured out but she sure surprised me with who the bad guys were. I can’t wait to read more about the guys in Brute Force security agency. I received an ARC from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

HOLY COW! I was glued to this book! Action, mystery, heat, and more. The story of Amara's kidnapping and memory loss, as well as who wants her dead had me on the edge of my chair the entire time. Riordan wants Amara to remember. Remember him and remember what happened when she was kidnapped and what happened before. Amara is strong and sassy, I love her personality. Riordan is a typical Irish man who is tough, deadly, and knows who is his. There were twist that I did not see coming and was in complete shock.

Romantic Suspense is generally my favorite genre. The plot of Collision Point has a lot of potential, but unfortunately it is overshadowed with the sex scenes. The book needed to focus more on the plot and the "passion" of the romance rather than just sex. . Alpha males can be fascinating heroes, but Riordan Malone needs a more rounded personality for this story to be in the "must read" list. I have found other Lora Leigh books a much better balance of suspense and romance which makes them more enjoyable reads.

This first book in a new series was a good read full of suspense, thrills, and sexy romance. There are lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I liked the characters of Amara and Rory and found them to be complex and compelling. I believe I would have enjoyed the story more if I had read the Elite Ops series, as several characters appearing in this book were in it and I felt I was missing something. She is kidnapped and loses a year of her life. She goes to find him so that she can reclaim that year and the man that she has dreamed was her lover as well. Sparks, heat, and danger abound in this book. Riordan is her bodyguard and must make sure that Amara stays alive as there are multiple threats against her life. This is a great start to a new series.

Again, don't get me wrong, I like sex but I couldn't understand how they could get anything done, and they had to do a lot..I kind of feel like there was so much going on, and If you are not familiar with her previous books, you will wonder what you missed, and yes you did miss stuff because Rory was from a previous book. anyhoo I didn't think I got the answer that I wanted..

Collision Point is the first book in the all new, exciting Brute Force Series from author Lora Leigh. One of the first things about this book that caught my attention was the cover. The cover was absolutely stunning. I loved the colors and the way that it was set up. My eyes were completely drawn to it, and it was that moment, that I knew I had to read the synopsis. And let me just say, if the cover wasn’t enough, the synopsis sealed the deal for me. I knew I just had to get my hands on this book and check it out.
Told from dual points of view, Collision Point follows the story Riordan and Amara. Riordan is a force to be reckoned with. He is tough. He is fierce. He is protective. He is the kind of guy that you would want standing up for you and keeping watch of your back. He is the best in his line of work. However, the one thing he never planned on, was Amara. From the moment he laid eyes on Amara, he knew she was the one. He would do anything for her. Anything to keep her safe. Even if it meant dying for her…Being the daughter of a notorious crime lord is anything but easy. But, don’t let that fool you, Amara is a force to be reckoned with. However, Amara’s world is about to be turned upside down. When she falls in love with the one person she’s not supposed to, all bets are off. With danger around every corner and a year of time that is unaccounted for, Amara is about to embark on the craziest ride yet…
Overall, I thought this book was an ok read. The prologue sucked me in and had me asking a million questions. I was totally captivated and couldn’t wait for more. I enjoyed Riordan and Amara together. You could tell that the two of them shared an intimate past and that they once meant the world to each other. I loved their chemistry and looked forward to when all the pieces to the puzzle clicked for Amara.
Collision Point is a fast paced romantic suspense novel that will keep you on the edge your seat and will leave you guessing the entire time. From kidnappings and danger around every corner to amnesia and the thirst for truth, to love and those unforgettable sexy moments, this book hits all the marks for a suspenseful read. I think this series is off to a solid start and would definitely be open to checking out more from this author in the future.

Oh my goodness, Amara and Riordan had chemistry off the charts. Lora Leigh did an amazing job of weaving their complicated relationship into the multifaceted suspense story. I loved that characters from her previous books showed up as secondary characters. I could not put this book down I so wanted to get to the end to see who the guilty culprits were. This is the first book in a the new series, Brute Force, which is an off shoot of the Elite Ops Series. Riordan Malone is more than a bodyguard to Amara Resnova. But after her abduction and torture she has no memory of what they were to each other. But her memory is slowly returning and along with it some very painful revelations. Riordan will also learn of a painful loss and he is determined to find out what is blocking Amara's memory. The truth will be painful and surprising.

I thoroughly loved reading the extraordinary first book in the Brute Force series. Even though Amara can't remember her lover and bodyguard, Riordan, saving her life and almost dying himself, she feels closely connected to him and needs him to protect her again. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of romance, intrigue, and mystery, and riveting the reader to the storyline. Can't wait to read the next book in the series by the incredibly talented Lora Leigh.

How could I choose two books in a week that has a confusing start? I didn't know it was a spin-off.
Once I got into it, I realized this book has a good story potential with an uber alpha male lead protecting his amnesiac lover. There are lots of flashbacks and some twist and turns and seemingly no one to trust. Even with all that going on, the sex overpowers the story. Pity.
It's a good book if you are looking for something with more sex and less story.

The premise of this story was great! There was twists and turns. Answers and lies hidden beneath missing memories. The only thing that kept this from being a concise story was all the sex scenes. Whenever Roardan and Amara would argue they’d have sex. The scenes went on and on. I have nothing against sex scenes except for when they take away from the storyline. Wow!!! This book definitely delivers! The prologue is intense, graphic, and thrilling. You would expect the book to fail to maintain that initial level of intensity but it doesn't. Instead, leigh's storytelling winds you up tighter and tighter in the plot leading to a heart pounding ending. The romance between Rory and Amara is perfection. Bad guys, an explosive romance and a plot that keeps you on your toes....what's not to love?

A big thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I admit I am a big fan of 'Ms. Leigh. I felt off balance at the beginning like I was a book behind. She jumped right in with limited introduction. I enjoyed the book. It was different and fast paced. Very sexual but less so than usual. Well worth the read. I think most romance readers would enjoy. I rated this a 3.5.

This is such a passionate story. The relationship between Riordan and Amara is never really in question it is just how it will redevelop. The part that kept me hooked was trying to second guess who was really the killer. The answer is so much a twist that I never could have guessed. This is a intense story and one I had a hard time putting down. I was given a free copy by NetGalley and this is a voluntary review.

I thoroughly enjoyed both the Elite Ops and the Callahan’s series. This book was good as well, however I had two issues with it. These assume you have read both series.
1) In Jordan’s book, the names of Noah’s kids are different. In fact I believe Erin was the name of Jordan’s daughter and Noah’s daughter’s name was Mira Paige. Missing little details like that make me wonder who is actually writing and ending these novels.
2) would have been nice to see Crowe and company in the story since Rory works for Brute Force.
Solid story but I would have gone a different way with the mystery, too. Maybe made her stepfather the actual villain.

I enjoyed this read. I didn't realize it was a spin off... but that didn't seem to bother me too much.
I was hooked to the characters and wanted to know what would happen next!
If you're into suspense, love, lies, sexy moments and everything in between this is the book for you!!!
4 stars from me.

Thoroughly enjoyed Riordan and Amara's story. The Malone men are worth waiting for! Amara's memory loss was tied to other losses and betrayal making the gradual return of those memories fraught with danger and sadness. Well written, sexy story.

This book was just ok to me. With characters, suspense and some hot, steamy moments it was an enjoyable read. In my opinion you'd greatly benefit from reading the authors Elite Ops series first. Overall a pretty good read.

This is one of my favorite authors. She never disappoints me with her stories. There is always great character development, an alpha male and off the charts steamy scenes with the strong heroine. Another winner.

Kidnapped and brutalized, Amara lost not only her memories of the past year but knew she had lost something else she couldn't remember. Her overprotective father insisted she had nothing to fear, yet three "accidents" sent her racing to a man who had been her body guard for help. Riordan, recovering from injuries received while rescuing her can't believe she finds him and doesn't remember him. Can he protect her and his heart or will his Irish soul bind him? Fast moving and an excellent storyline makes you zip through this book and chomp on the bit for the next!

Riordan considered Amara nothing but trouble. He would protect her always and when her life was threatened he would ensure she was safe and by his side. Having forgotten their time in the past he works to help her recover her memory as each new threat unfolds. Great story and the chemistry between the characters threatens to consume them both.

This was my first book by this author, I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The story was full of suspense and had an excellent storyline. The only thing I didn't like was I felt I was missing some of the back story, like how all the men knew each other and worked together. Otherwise a very good book that I couldn't put down until I knew how the story played out.

Collision Point by Lora Leigh. A romantic suspense with some spicy times mixed in. The first book in the Brute Force series. I've read and enjoyed other books by this author and this book hasn't disappointed me. It pulled me in from the first page with it's characters, dialogue and storyline. I look forward to reading more in this series and more books by Lora Leigh

This was a good read for me. I liked the story as well as the characters. Amara has been through a lot and is trying to get her memory back even as someone wants her dead. Can Rory help her find the answers she is looking for? Fast-paced read with lots of drama and suspense. The story held my interest throughout and the sex is steamy. An entertaining read.

You have got to read this one! What a crazy ride this book is. And the characters are fantastic. The fact that Amara is such a strong woman to her strong lover Riordan makes it even better! And on my these Irish guys. If you want some sizzle it's in here. I cannot wait to read the next one.

Hot read by Lora Leigh!! Very suspenseful with many twists and turns. I lm hoping Ivan’s book is next. I just didn’t really understand the memory loss thing. Kind of confusing at first but in the end it was an okay read. As a spin off from Elite Ops I had high hopes for this book slightly let down.

Not for me.
Please RateCollision Point: A Brute Force Novel
Well in Collison Point the first in Lora Leigh new series, Brute Force. Riordan “Ray” Malone an Elite Ops agent himself, whose whole future is on the line. When the woman he loves comes under attack. But the problem is Amara Resnova doesn’t remember who he is. The only thing she knows is Ray Malone is the only person she can trust to track down the person or persons out to kill her.
Collison Point was great. Fast-paced action and hot romance will have you readers up until the crack of dawn trying to solve the mystery. At one point I thought I had solved the mystery. If this was a movie no one could have changed my mind of who the assailant was. What a shock when the mystery person was revealed and the reason behind the attacks. This was certainly a great start to this new series. It is always a pleasure to revisit with old characters.
Collision Point on sale this month. I certainly recommend this story to any fan of mystery suspense or readers who loved Lora Leigh Elite Ops series.
