I loved this book. You must read One Dom to Love first, as this is the second book in the series. This book begins where the first left off and is a loving roller coaster ride from beginning to end. Excellent!

This book was a great continuation of the story. I can't decide if I like Liam or Hammer more. The only bad thing I can say is it ended way too soon and left me wondering if there is more to the story.

I need more details about book 3. We as readers love knowing the story will continue...We love the point that the characters we have grown to root for will have more then a rushed wam-bam thank you man story...however, if it will take the authors another year to write #3, I'm not sure I plan to buy it...:-(

I could not wait for book 2 to come out since I absolutely loved book 1, but this one was a let down. I had to push myself to even finish reading it. I'm shocked at how boring this was, and I'm not sure I will be reading book 3.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
I like the cover. I don't love it, because I don't really think it matches them. Sure the woman has the same features of Raine, but their clothes doesn't feel like them. I can see it would be a ménage, or a love triangle and that would be BDSM involved.
The book had a good pace, it kept me guessing and I've ended wanting more. There were no typo mistakes that I remember, it was cohesive.
It was panty-wetter, cold-shower hot! Jumping my husband kind of scenes. Great descriptions, creativity, it felt real and I did feel the chemistry between characters.
It was hard to put down, a pretty addictive read.
I'm really looking forward to book number THREE.
This is BDSM soap opera material, which kept it all interesting.
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
The characters are still my problem.
Also, a huge cliffhanger here. I just think, it should have been mentioned somewhere.
MY THOUGHTS
Hammer becomes the better man in this one, and Liam jealousy drives me insane.

The emotional ride that we as a reader are taken on in this book is beyond what I expected.
As Raine struggles to learn who she is and who she can be she knows one thing is certain, she can't be a complete person without Liam and Hammer. But the tension and anger and even some hate between the two men make her believe that having them both, loving them both will never happen.
When she returns to the club knowing she needs to be trained but also knowing that she can't become attached to the two men who she loves she decides that finding someone other than them to train her is the best option. She wants a Domme. But Liam and Hammer don't agree and with the help of their friends Beck and Seth they devise a plan that will allow them the option of training her, help tear down some walls, and get her to be more trusting and open. Raine isn't sure that will work but she reluctantly agrees and has one request for them, to not fight.
But the second day in the mountains is the breaking point. She's done everything they asked but sometimes it only takes one question and one answer to put everything in jeopardy. She knew when she answered she would be hurting one of them, but the point of everything was for her to be honest.
When she sees later that night exactly how her confession affected them she did what she's used to doing, she left. Even after they begged her to stay and even after a confession by Hammer, she still leaves with Beck.
While Beck is trying to get her to see exactly how they feel, why they are acting the way they were, and to tell her that even in all her sessions of being brutally honest, they still hadn't worked out everything with each other. And her confession was just that last straw that broke the camels back and forced Liam and Hammer into their fight about her.
And while they are faced with once again losing the one woman they love because of their stubbornness they know that it's time to get it out of their systems on why they are so angry with each other. A good old fight in the freezing snow helped them, and then actually talking about what the best thing to do is. Neither of them want to be with her alone because they know they would only ever be getting half of her but they need to know if they can handle being with her together.
Trust and honesty work both ways. Raine plans to show them that in order for her to move on they need to be honest with her as much as she's been with them. When she returns and she confronts them it will be a defining point. Can they put aside their pettiness and give her what she needs, both of them, or will everything she wants fall apart for good. Leaving her alone or with half her heart missing.
This book took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. I cried, laughed, I yelled and cursed out Liam and Hammer. I prayed they could work things out. They belong to each other. I just wanted them to see it as well. It was a long road for all of them.
I like how Beck and Seth are staying with them to help her and also help Liam and Hammer. They know the three of them belong together and they are there for moral and emotional support for Raine if she needs them. I see them as her mentors and her friends.
I don't usually like books with cliffhangers. But knowing that I can jump into the next book right away helped with my normal anger at cliffhangers. And while this wasn't a bad one, it does make you wake up and question what will happen next because I foresee a bumpy road for these three and that while they discover what they all need, life will throw a curveball that may threaten everything Raine wants and needs.

This is the second book in a contemporary BDSM menage romance and is best enjoyed when read in order.
Raine has spent six years in love with her dark knight, Macen "Master Hammer" Hammerman, ever since he took her in off the streets when she escaped her abusive father's attempted rape. Hammer may run a BDSM dungeon, but he'd never force a partner--and he's never wanted to abuse petite Raine. He's loved her, but fears his own dark desire might be too much for her. Plus, she's now connecting with his best friend and fellow Dom, Liam'O'Neill. Years ago Liam and Macen shared Macen's wife, Juliet. It seemed a perfect arrangement, but wasn't, and the men are gun-shy about sharing another sub.
Even if that's what Raine needs.
This book is all about working in the kinks, and part of that is Liam and Hammer learning how to share. Their bickering is freaking Raine out, even before they decide to try a menage. Liam has collared Raine, but she can't give her whole heart and submission to him, on account of having such a longing and respect for Macen. For my part, I was ready to kick Macen out of bed, empty chip bag or not. He's a mental whirlwind, and devious. In the previous book he did the unthinkable, tried to claim Raine after she accepted Liam as her Master--and his treachery isn't small, because he didn't protect Raine when she was truly vulnerable.
Liam's tender and loving, but he struggles with Raine's silence. She may not lie, but she sure doesn't tell the whole truth. His biggest gambit seems to all but fail, until some friends intervene. I really liked Beck, the dungeon's resident sadist, and how he was the right kind of tough to get Raine back on track. These guys are a little bit silly, to me. They practice D/s but they aren't hard 24/7 which was a relief. Liam and Hammer get on board with Beck's plan to work together, and that's the best part of the book--also the end, mostly. Expect a sated sub, two frazzled Doms and a smart aleck surgeon to save the day. While it's the end of the book, it's just the beginning of their new menage. I found this one to be both more sexy and more romantic than the first book.

Have you read One Dom to Love? If you haven't that is the first book in this series, and trust me when I say that this series should be read in order. So if you haven't read it please don't read this entire review. Just take my humble advice from a huge romance novel fan and purchase your copy of One Dom to Love and jump on this crazy roller coaster of love and crazy jealousy that someone how brings people together.
Now if you have read One Dom to Love you know that you are in for another great novel by these talented authors. They left us with a collaring ceremony between Liam and Raine, with a irate Hammer walking in and ending with a congratulations from Hammer to Raine.
In this second installment Raine's insecurities jeopardize her happiness with Liam, but it is her getting uncollared that gets this book moving. With Liam hella jealous and Hammer finally if only to himself admitting that he loves Raine. The two on again and off again friends decide to top her together only to unravel their progress as they complete for her love. In the end can Raine really have the them both forever or is her fantasy going to always remain a fantasy. Well you will need to read it all the way through and even then we won't have our ultimate answers as someone from Liam's past joins this fun storyline.
The authors did another fabulous job of keeping the pace of the book on point and moving through. I love the main characters, but I also love the side characters of Beck and Seth. I hope they end up with some type of novel or novella. Anyways back to The Young and the Submissive. In this book I feel such growth from Raine as she stands up and owns her wants and desires. Not gonna lie I was pissed off at Hammer and Liam cause they just couldn't seem to get it together and just admit their bulls***. Thank goodness for Beck and Seth. As our love triangle ends with a Menage a Trois...we are left wondering if this trio can make take one night and make it work for more than one night.
If you like romance give this series a try. If you LOVE romance you have to jump on board with this series. Remember that there is BDSM if the titles didn't warn you I am, so if you absolutely aren't into romance with some kink...I am sorry that you are gonna miss this love story, but perhaps you don't know what you are missing and should give it a try. In short READ this series. I am a huge fan of Black's and her many novels never leave me sorry that I read them only jonesing for the next in line.

Oh My Gosh, this series gets better with each book!
After book 1, I was hoping Liam and Hammer would get their act together about Raine! In this book Raine's period is five days late! Hammer knows this because he's kept up with EVERYTHING about Raine since he rescued her. He finally gave into his urge to have sex with her and unfortunately, he didn't use protection. Now she could be pregnant with his child. However, Liam, her Dom, has no idea when her periods are. She's collared by Liam but could be pregnant by Hammer....what a mess!!
Liam is working with her trying hard to get her to open up about her feelings and what she wants. But she's so stubborn and just shuts down. It just eats at Liam that she's told Hammer way more than she has told him. He loves her, and he punishes her, but she always seem to distract him. He's finally had enough and uncollars her to give her time to "think". She's devastated!
After Liam removed Raine's collar, she does what she always does. She runs! She doesn't feel as though she's worthy of anyone and they all leave her eventually. So she left first. She can't live with the fact that she has broken up two best friends. Of course, when Hammer and Liam figure out she's gone they are livid!! Raine has so many issues from her past, she just needs to go away and hopefully figure this all out. Will Liam and Hammer come after her? Maybe they should all three be together (that would be my vote)? Can Liam and Hammer once again be best friends? So many questions!! :)
The authors have created such an amazing series! However, I have never wanted to throw my kindle as much as I have wanted to reading it!! I want to shake Liam, Hammer and Raine!! Seems like the only one with any sense is Beck, which when you read this book you'll see why it's a big deal for Beck to have any sense! The Doms of Her Life series is the most frustrating series ever, but I LOVE IT!! It's a ........I can tune out the whole world while I get lost in their world kinda book! 5 stars isn't enough in my opinion!!

This book picks up right after the end of One Dom to Love. Raine still has her walls up; she is in love with both Liam and Hammer and doesn’t know what to do. Liam and Hammer are still at each other’s throats and both are in love with her. There is a lot of bickering, arguing, lack of trust and of course hot steamy sex! We find out more about Hammer and why he is the way he is. We see more of Beck, who I love and hope he gets his own book. Just when things FINALLY seem to be ok and everyone is on the same page, a phone call happens…….
Characters: The characters were well written and believable.
Sex: holy hotness

I received a copy in return for an honest review.
Okay, this is a continuation from book 1 in the series. You definitely need to have read it prior to this one. I must say I enjoyed this story more than the previous one. In this installment all the characters grow and mature. Raine isn't as much a victim as she started out to be. Both Liam and Hammer love Raine but neither appreciated her. It was more dog in mangerish for both men. But in this story Ms. Black, Ms. Jacob and Ms. LaPearl allowed the men to see that it should be about Raine and not them. But by the time they learned that lesson was it too late? I loved that Raine took stock and and took a stand. She understood that she was damaged but was equally determined to fix not only herself but the men she loves. But can I say, my favorite character turned out to be Beck. He was such an a-hole in the prior story but boy did we see he was soo much more. I hope the ladies decide to give him his happily ever after because after this one he deserved it. But back to the trio. I enjoyed seeing the growth these characters had. I grew to like them as they began to understand who they were and what they needed. But Ms. Black, Ms. Jacob and Ms. LaPearl didn't end their journey to happily ever after there and I can't wait to see what drama happens next!

*3.5 stars*
This is the second in the series that follows the relationship of Raine, Macen & Liam. Raine loved Macen for years and is now realizing her intense feelings for Liam as well. They both say they love her so there shouldn’t be any issues, right? Well, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
As in the first instalment, the enemies in this romance remain themselves. Complicated pasts and experiences are brought into a fragile relationship that needs only a small nudge to send it one direction or another. A scorecard is needed to understand what is happening in this moment as things change quickly….
“It feels like a f****** soap opera.”
And I don’t disagree but I can’t say that it isn’t entertaining. I liked that the three are starting to talk to each other and moving forward in a way that starts to make more sense to me. Nothing is easy, these are emotionally challenged individuals and talking things out, with each other, seems very difficult. The story continues to be steamy as the BDSM elements are felt throughout. This is the second in a four-part arc so I’m not surprised that the ending was another humdinger of a twist. One guaranteed to add more drama to the pot…

The Young and the Submissive picks up right where the first book in this series ended. Raine has developed real feelings for Liam, but her feelings for Hammer are still present and her refusal to communicate is causing problems with her submissive lifestyle.
Hammer and Liam cast away their friendship and fight for Raine. Raine is at odds on who to be with. Her home is with Hammer, but he’s never wanted her and Liam claims to love her, but she can’t seem to open up with him. It drives Liam crazy that Hammer knows Raine’s secrets and Hammer is in agony, knowing Raine and Liam share a special bond together.
Raine runs away, knowing she’s what caused the rift between Liam and Hammer. Both Liam and Hammer put their differences aside and tear the town up trying to find her. With the help of friends, Hammer and Liam finally get through to Raine and decide that they both will keep her. The book ends in yet another cliffhanger, but since the book has already been released, you can read it now.
I love both Hammer and Liam and I'm glad they finally figured out they both can have her. I also really enjoyed Beck's character. I didn't like him in the first book, but now I'm hoping the authors will give him his own story!

Book two. What can I say. I love Hammer and Liam.
The chemistry between them and Raine is really strong. Although not without problems. I loved how she found a new friend in Beck. She went to him when she left Shadows. He was also there and went with her, as she went to confront her father. Before kicking his arse.
I liked the fact, that both Seth and Beck were there to help in Raines progress. I think a book for them is a must please?
The time at the Lodge was sexy as hell. As they all start communicating, Liam and Hammer realise the mistakes they have made.
Then, when all seems to be going well. Jealousy along with some deep anger, rears its ugly head.
Hearing them argue, Raine decides to leave as they broke the only rule she gave them.
This leads to a fight between Liam and Hammer.
Beck and Seth help save the day.
They wanted trust and honesty from Raine. She now needs it from them.
They have a night filled with passion and amazing sex.
After they fall asleep, well except Liam. His old insecurities surface. Then he receives a phone call . Which c!ould cause a whole lot of new problems.
Book three is now a must!

Since admitting how much he wanted her, he couldn't seem to stop. But the elaborate collar that now dangled from her neck strangled him with one indisputable fact: She was owned. Taken. Completely off limits. Property of another.
That son of a b****, Liam O'Neill. His former best friend.
~Raine Kendall should be happy, she finally has everything she could want. Almost everything. She has been collared and is learning what it means to be a submissive, for the most part, under the guidance of a caring Dom. Liam is everything she could ask for but she still finds herself holding back, not fully giving herself over and yearning for the man she can't have.
~Liam O’Neill never expected to fall so quickly for the woman he only ever wanted to guide, he was simply trying to take care of a sub in desperate need of a Dom and maybe force his former best friend to pull his head outta his bum. Now he wants nothing more than to heal the woman he has come to love, but breaking through her walls is proving to be a task he wasn't prepared for. How can he get her to ever truly submit to him and she can't trust him or open up to him. In a desperate attempt to finally show her what she means to him and force her to break free of her demons he devises a plan that could very well blow up in his face and cost him everything.
~Macen Hammerman has loved Raine from a distance for six years, never believing he was what she needed or that he deserved her - but one night changed everything. After caving into his desire for her, he is finding it impossible to put the lid back on his feelings. But she is collared now, by his former best friend and seemingly out of reach. Watching Liam struggling to get her to let him in should make him ecstatic, it should give him hope that she is not lost to him yet, and it does...mostly. But he also sees that Raine needs help getting over her past, she is in pain and that kills him, and he also sees that she does truly care for Liam. But how far is he willing to go to help her break free and become the submissive he knows is hiding under all that sass and tears.
She'd seized his heart, gripping it more tightly every day until he wondered if he could even breathe without her. He had no bloody idea if she would ever love him in return, but he'd do whatever it took to earn her trust.
This series is killing me. Emotionally, I am all over the place. One minute I'm turned on like crazy, the next I'm crying, I go from a giggly school girl to ticked and frustrated as heck in the next breath. It. Is. Exhausting!! and I love every freakin minute of it. These characters have burrowed their way so deep into my skin that I'm having a hard time getting them outta my head. But that doesn't mean that I have loved them every minute of every page. There really was no love lost between me and Hammer in book one, the guy just rubbed me raw with the way he handled Raine for the last six years. Yes he took care of her physically, always made sure she had everything she ever needed and cared for her in his own way – but emotionally he freakin wrecked her. The fact that he waited to jump in bed with her until THE DAY she was finally claimed by someone else just grated me (but don't worry-I blamed a lot of my anger at that situation on Raine too). But he started to worm his way into my heart in this book.... eventually. It was clear just how much he loved Raine, how much he needed her, how much he wanted her, how much the demons from his past controlled him nearly broke me. So yeah – I get him a little better now. He can still be an douche though. Raine spent a lot of time on my bad side in this book. I get why the girl has trust issues, I get why she feels the way she does and understand she has some serious demons of her own, but crap-the level of this girls stubbornness bordered on ridiculous. A blind man could see how much these guys loved her, Liam in particular, but she refused to believe no matter what was said, no matter what was done, and she twisted things that were said to her so far out of whack I was banging my freakin head off the table. Liam stole my heart here and all I wanted to do was whisk him away and take care of him. Raine hurt him so freakin much with her inability to trust him, her refusal to let him in, her need to hold him back and her complete blindness to his love for her. It cheesed me off, broke my heart and brought me to tears. But the man Would. Not. Give up. The fact that he wouldn't walk away from her should have been a giant clue to her, but alas....hello clueless. I have found myself surprisingly drawn to Beck. When we first meet him he screams douchbag, but the man hidden underneath the Master Sadist came as a total surprise. And this time around we get the added bonus of Seth, a friend of Liam and Hammers from New York and a fellow Dom. Between the four men Raine has more care and support than she ever could have dreamed of and she eventually starts to pull her head outta her butt too. But that ending?! That ending left me with a stomach full of dread. We are finally lulled into a happy place before getting punched in the face and than cut off. If I didn't love this series and these author so much I would lose my ever-lovin' mind. As it is, I will be climbing the walls like a freaking monkey waiting for the next book. I am dying to see where this beautiful group of sadists (sorry-I mean authors) take me next.
“If I can't even handle Liam's expectations, how do you expect me to please him and Hammer?”
“They'll teach you. Stop fighting and pay attention. Figure your s*** out. You're smart, Raine. They've shared before. For the right woman, I think they'd do it again.”
Happy Reading xo Jenn @ BookwormBetties

The Young and the Submissive (Doms of Her Life Book 2
Shayla Black (Author), Jenna Jacob (Author), Isabella LaPearl (Author)
*****5 STARS****** (Would give 10 if I could)
Brilliant! Outstanding! Dynamic!
I was chomping at the bit to finally sit down and start reading this second book in the series Doms of Her Life and what a wonderful journey I have been on.
Quick note - If you have not read the first book in this series, One Dom to Love, please do so.One Dom To Love (Doms of Her Life Book 1)
Now as for book 2 - get the box of tissues and a change of panties ready as you will surely need them as you delve into the pages of this one.
We do pick up where we left off in book one. One very good reason to read ''One Dom to Love'' first so you don't miss anything that happened.
Our main characters are still Raine, Macen and Liam and we do get to see more of Liam and Macen's personalities emerge and get glimpses of Raine horrific past. Beck (can't get enough of Beck) is back with a stronger part this time around and we are introduced to Seth, another Dom and old friend of Liam's.
Now I rarely give anything away when I write a review, but if you read book one you know we have this love triangle thingy going on and the possibility of Raine being pregnant by Macen....and Liam and Macen both fighting for who gets to be king bull. So with that said..........
Let's just say that Liam does a very stupid thing, or so very stupid thing and all hell breaks out. Raine runs away, Beck saves the day. Raine returns with shocking news and realizes that she loves both Macen and Liam. (About damn time) ...................
And let's say that this plan is set into motion where 4, (Yes I said 4) hot Alpha DOMS and one lovely Raine take off for Liam's secluded cabin in the hoped of helping Raine truly learn the ways of submission and help her with her insecurities....................
And let's say we have Raine make a breakthrough and finally tells the truth to her two Alpha Males, who in turn realize they can't handle the truth...........
Now just for the hell of it let's add in some "my stick is bigger than yours" action and we are off on another amazing tale.
I will say there is one very gripping part that plays out in Chapter 18 where Raine shatters both Macen and Liam with her truths. I won't give you the play by play (Read the book) but let's just say -- You boys wanted honesty, you got honesty. My heart ached for all three of them and my box of tissues was empty after ready that part.
There is plenty of drama, the topsy turvy roller coaster ride continues, Ménage a Trios' comes into play and of course the OMG - Did not see that coming CLIFFHANGER.
So with that said go get this book and read it! I for one am counting down the days until I get to read the final chapter in this series. And maybe, just maybe, these amazing ladies will add another chapter with Beck and maybe Seth as the main players (Hell I can hope can't I?)
Great job ladies - you did not disappoint this reader in any way.

4.5 stars! I enjoyed that this was more about relationships, the past, trust, and starting to train Raine to be a submissive. Yes, there was hot sex! But this continues the story in book 1, One Dom to Love, in a way that I enjoyed. In book 1, Hammer annoyed me so much! I liked Liam until the last thing he pulled while Hammer was supposed to be away. At that point, I didn't think either was good enough for Raine.
In this story, it was clear that Raine was not the only one haunted by and affected by the past. There was much that was never discussed by Macen 'Hammer' and Liam about Juliet. The friendship that seemed to be teetering because of Raine, actually had been damaged previously. Hammer carried a lot of guilt, and Liam was left out. When Raine decides she can't handle the situation and runs, it''s her past and her pattern of running that needs to be faced by all three of them.
I really liked that friends of Liam and Hammer step up to assist. Both had me laughing at times. I liked what they added to the story. The search for Raine revealed more about her past and forced the two Doms to find a solution. I liked how the authors incorporated some things from book 1 into this one. I had questions from book 1, some of which were answered in this one.
The training of Raine took on a deeper meaning as a key element of bdsm, that at times is overlooked, was used: communication. It was great that initially it seemed that Raine was the only who had to deal with her past and lack of willingness to communicate, but it became an issue that both Hammer and Liam had to deal with as well. I laughed so hard as Hammer and Liam 'butted' heads.
I could appreciate Raine's anguish and fear of revealing her feelings after more of her past was revealed. An abusive past is not something you just get over. Its effects can haunt and taint a person and their relationships. I thought that was a strength in the story. As Raine comes to terms with her issues, it was emotional for me.
I think book 2 was better than book 1. I thought Hammer was a bit one-dimensional in it, and Liam seemed to care more to win Raine from his friend than he cared for her. In this book, Hammer was forced to reveal more and seemed more like a Dom; and Liam seemed to really care for Raine, not just see her as a prize. It was about the emotional component of bdsm.
The ending caught me by surprise, in a good way. I knew that there would be another book, but the authors set it up in a way that has me intrigued as to where it might go to next.
I received a review copy, and this is my honest review.

If I could pick the underlying theme of this read it would be that Trust is the most important part of any relationship. These three women once again take you on a sensual journey with two sexy alpha Doms and one bratty sub. Raine wants to give her mind, body, and soul to the two men she loves but she fears rejection, and that fear nearly tears this threesome apart.
I have read a lot of BDSM novels and many many menage stories and learned something about myself as I lost myself in this read. I do not have a submissive bone in my body. I can't tell you the level of unease I had when they have her naked not only in front of them but in front of Beck and Seth. I guess I have always been comfortable with the idea of a D/s relationship taking place in a BDSM club. At a club the norm is that everyone is naked, but when you take a retreat to a cabin and then bring along some friends it made me completely uncomfortable. Beck and Seth were there as her sounding board and to help teach her how to better communicate, however their presence not only made Raine uneasy at times but also myself. She had to take her clothes of and submit to everyone in the house. Seth and Beck never touched her but still. This made me a bit crazy and I feel like that is part of what makes this such an incredible read. When an author can evoke any emotion in a reader it is win. These ladies do an incredible job. They do especially well in the sexual frustration portion where Raine has to rein it in but so do Liam and Macen during Raine's training.
The two leading Doms in this story also learn about trust and communication and grow closer as friends and begin to realize that Raine is not complete without them both. Liam struggles with the idea of sharing Raine even after all the cards have been put on the table. He also has doubts as to whether or not she will ever love him as much as she loves Macen. Just when you think they have worked through this and come together as a solid trio, their blissful bubble pops and all hell breaks loose. I am so looking forward to book three on February.

The Young and the Submissive picks up right where One Dom to Love left off. Raine finds herself faced with having to make a choice between her longstanding love for Hammer and the new feelings shes developing for Liam. Each man bringing with him the power and desire that heats her core.
There is one major hurdle that Raine must overcome, their jealousy!
Hammer has years of pent up resentment towards his “best friend”, Liam. Will he be able to let go of the past to help Raine become the sub he needs her to be? Or will his ire destroy all that Raine has tried to become?
When Liam thought up this “brilliant” plan to train Raine, he never imagined her embedding herself so deeply in his heart. Now, he can’t imagine his life without her. The problem is she still burns deep for his old pal Hammer. Can Liam overcome his jealousy of Hammer and allow himself to give into her needs? If he can’t he may lose the one thing he has come to cherish most, Raine.
Seeing that her love for these two Alphas is destroying them, Raine decides to leave Shadows, the only place she feels safe. Her efforts to strike out on her own carry her to the last person she expected would save her, Beck the sadist. Beck takes her under his wing and gives her the space and offers the advise she needs to begin to rebuild herself. Realizing she must repair herself, Raine takes her past by the balls and makes positive steps toward her future. Where will her newfound strength and courage carry her?
Is Raine strong enough to ask for what she wants and except nothing less? Can Hammer and Liam look beyond their needs to see what really matters, healing Raine?
I really enjoyed the larger part that beck played in this book, he turned out to be an excellent mentor for Raine. I hope that we see more of Beck in the coming book(s). The addition of Seth (Liam’s friend from NY) throws a new twist in the story, at one point Hammer and Liam were acting so foolish, I hoped Raine would chose the other two Doms to train her.
As with the first book, i really enjoyed this story and found much of it scorchingly hot! These three authors certainly have a way of spinning a spicy tale. I am rating The Young and Submissive a 4.5 O’s not because i found it lacking but because I wished it hadn’t ended so abruptly. Thank goodness I don’t have long to wait for the next book.
*******Warning: If you are not into anticipation, teasing, and really hot threesomes, do not read this book ;)
***I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
There is so much going on in this book. It picks up right where One Dom to Love leaves us. Hammer (Macen) and his non ability to tell Raine how he feels about her, Liam collaring and training Raine, and Raine being in love with both men. There is so many emotions associated with this trio with all their ups and downs. They are all fighting for the same goal, but can they trust enough to do get there together? Just when you think they have it all figured out, nope jealousy rears it's ugly head. Can a HEA actually work for them?
I wonder what lies next for the trio, it can only get better right?
While Liam and Macen are running lead in this book, I really feel the need to learn more about Beck and Seth. I love the sensitive soft side mixed with the sexy sadist in Beck that we got to see more of in this book. Seth always seems to be the controlled understanding one, I would love to see him break out of that!

We continue following Raine and the Doms and other submissives at The Shadows in this book. We find things really coming to a head in this book with Hammer and Liam, why? What happens that causes Liam to seek out Seth for his sage wisdom? What plan do they come up with that backfires on Liam? Where does Raine turn? When Seth makes it to California to visit Liam, what does he walk into? What does Beck have to do with all of it? While Seth, Liam, and Hammer are talking, what happens? What do both Beck and Seth 'separately' suggest to Liam and Hammer? When Seth talks to Raine, what does he find out from her? What does he mention to the boys? What happens after that? Talk about a trip in reading this book. It is great watching Raine face down her past and what happened there. You need to read the first book, One Dom to Love before you read this one, to truly get a feel for how these relationships are working or not working. This is definitely a series to read in order.

The story continues where the first book leaves off and the love triangle between Macen Hammerman, Raine Kendall and Liam O’Neill just keeps getting better. If you have not read the first book, One Dom To Love, then you should go grab it!
As The Young And The Submissive begins, Liam has been trying everything he knows how to do to get Raine to open up and commit to him fully. Meanwhile Raine is struggling to deal with her feelings towards the two men and a possible pregnancy. It is not helping matters that she feels she is the cause of the antagonism between the men and ruining their friendship. When Liam decides to make a major change, all does not go according to his plan and suddenly Raine is nowhere to be found. Can the two men put aside their animosity and work together? Will Raine have her fantasy come true? There are so many questions.
I just could not put this book down. The chemistry between the three characters is scorching and the reader is just taken in for a ride that you never want to end….Thank goodness there is a third book and I cannot wait to delve right in.

As I sit here and try to collect my thoughts on this book one thing pops into my brain first. I'm not going to be able to keep any spoilers out of this. If you haven't read this book and don't want to read any spoilers PLEASE STOP HERE!!!
Ok now that we have that out of the way can I please have Seth?! OMG Yummy! Ok all that aside. I didn't think I would come to like Beck as much as I do. In the first book I found him annoying and chauvinistic. In this book he has truly because a nice guy who always seems to be there for Raine. I really do enjoy that aspect of his character more than my initial interpretation. I found this book enjoyable. Maybe not so much the typical male moments but that is because I might have wanted to crawl into the book and smack them myself :) I didn't plan on getting teary eyed while reading this book but alas, I found myself with tears. I want to much for these characters to work past their issues and be happy. I really thought that was where we were going with this book but the cliffhanger with Gwyneth has me thinking otherwise. Logically knowing that there is a book 3 and still to come a book 4 but I want happiness for Hammer, Liam and Raine not more insecurities and hurt. I guess I will have to go on and ready to find out what happens next!!!

This story picks up where One Dom to Love left off, and shouldn't be read as a standalone. Hammer is finally determined to claim Raine himself, but Liam has collared Raine, and what started as an attempt to force Hammer to face his feelings for the girl has turned into much more as Liam cares for Raine himself. But Raine is still in love with Hammer, and issues in her past have left her with trust issues and a reluctance to open up.
This series was very aptly named for soap operas as there is plenty of over the top drama. I liked both Hammer and Raine a little better in this one, and while the first 40% of the story still dragged at times, once Hammer and Liam started working together for Raine's sake, the story flowed much more smoothly for me and I enjoyed it a lot more. We got to know a couple of the very interesting secondary characters a bit more, and also got more background on all three of the main characters, which added a lot more depth to the story for me. An entertaining read. 3.5 to 4 stars

The second book in the series and the story of Rain, Liam and Mace continues.
It is a big book and that is a strength and a weakness at the same time. It is great that the authors are able to take their time and don’t rush any events, but at the same time it drags at times and you just want to speed things along at times.
I got frustrated with all the characters in the books. Liam’s jalousy, Mace just being a ass and Raine constant doubt and running away from everyone and everything.
And for a book where all the characters are into BDSM, there isn’t that much in the book.

Book two picks up right where book 1 stopped with a confused Raine Kendall and two alpha Dominants vying for her submission. It’s clear that both doms, Liam O’Neill and Macen Hammer “Hammer” want her. It was equally clear that Raine wanted them both, so both doms agree to share her. The shared arrangement however was wrought with bickering and jealousy. Both men were constantly fighting and Raine decided that she had come between Hammer and Liam, and her presence in their lives was hurting Liam and Hammer. Raine resolves that removing herself would allow the former best friends to mend fences with each other. Raine leaves without telling anyone but ends up contacting Beck.
Then Beck helps the three to figure out how to communicate their insecurities and wishes. Then Seth helps them set boundaries and play rules. The supporting cast, Beck and Seth really added some humor and common sense to this threesome. But Raine, Hammer and Liam have so much unresolved past issues that it continues to get in the way of building trust. Every time it appeared that a breakthrough was made, the characters would regress to past behaviors. This ménage was definitely an emotional rollercoaster.
I had a hard time figuring out how I felt about Raine. She was such an inconsistent character. Raine would appear like a strong person, but then she would reveal herself to be such an insecure and needy girl. She was didn’t appear to be a real submissive as she was very mouthy and disrespectful. Also the doms let her top from the bottom, which is why they lost control of their situation. I connected more with Liam, but I did like Hammer. I know that I am on in the minority, but I think three is a crowd here and I would like Raine to stay with Liam. I know that won’t happen, so I hope the author fleshes out the Dom/Submissive set up with more boundaries because it needs some work for it to be a rewarding experience for the participants.

The Young and the Submissive by Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob and Isabella Pearl is Book Two in the Doms of her Life series. It is a series and NOT a trilogy as we have been assured of more to come from Hammer, Liam and Raine. Book 2 picks up where Book One left off with Raine in training with Liam as his submissive and maintaining a working relationship with Hammer. After her unprotected experience with Hammer, Raine is "late" and Hammer is giving her ultimatums. Beck is a sadistic Dom at Shadows. When push comes to shove, Raine turns to Beck for help. Liam and Hammer with the help of their friend Seth must work through their differences and face their individual demons and pasts if they are to keep Raine.
I loved watching this story unfold. I would have a hard time choosing between the heavy demanding hand of Hammer and the sweet and sensual Liam. This book really explores the dynamic between Hammer and Liam and their relationship. I can see there are lots more twists and turns to come as we delve into Liam's past, as well as Seth and Beck. Shayla, Jenna and Isabella never fail to disappoint and have some of the hottest steamiest sex scenes around in print.

Man, oh man! This was intense. The collaboration between these authors on the love story between Raine, Hammer and Liam is nothing short of a masterpiece.
In the last book we get the start of these characters learning and dealing with feelings for each other. Resentment grows between our two Doms as they fight for Raine's love and submission.
In this book, we get a WHOLE LOT more!! These three characters grow so much in this installment. Hammer and Liam finally hash out issues from their pasts. Raine begins to deal with hers and they all struggle to see how they can all make it work.
I have to say, Hammer and Liam angry with each other??? That was quite comical at times. No matter how angry they were, it was still evident their friendship was there underneath it all.
And Beck? The resident Sadist at Shadows?? Yeah, he surprised me. Proof that you can't judge a book by its cover.
I laughed and cried with this one. It was quite emotional. My heart ached for each of them.
This was such a great read!!

This is the second book in this trilogy it picks up right where book one left off. Raine is with Liam she is his collared submissive but part of her is still in love with Macen it prevents her from acting the way she should. She keeps things from Liam and distracts him when he asks something she doesn’t want to talk about. It is the week of Thanksgiving and she still hasn’t gotten her period she could be pregnant with Macen’s baby while collared to Liam. What a mess that would be. She and Macen aren’t supposed to talk unless it’s about work. Things between her and Liam are strained she sometimes doesn’t even think about the things she does and how they will affect him or make him feel. Things get bad on Thanksgiving and the next day Liam lets her know that he is uncollaring her but with still be there for her. He wants to give her time to decide what she wants. She takes this to mean that he doesn’t want her anymore and that she isn’t worth the fight. So she does what she always thinks she should do which is leave. Liam and Macen go out of their mind when they can’t find her. She leaves her car and turns off her phone. She checks into a cheap motel and goes for a walk. She winds up going to Beck’s office in the hospital for advice. Her takes her to his place and helps her work through some things. He calls the guys to tell she is with them and he is helping her. Once she is ready he takes her home to the guys and she has some things to tell them. She wants to try a Domme. This in one thing the guys weren’t expecting and neither of them like it one bit. What will they come up with now? Beck and Seth let them know that she wants them both and that is best for her. Will they be able to share her? Will they be able to work together to help her and give her what she needs?
This series is great. In this book Raine really starts to come into herself. She realizes that in order to get what she wants she has to let them in. That is may not be as bad as she thinks. She doesn’t believe that it will be easy for her or for them but she doesn’t want to come between them anymore. This maybe be the best for everyone involved. Macen has been keeping things in since his wife died all those years ago. This may help him get them off his chest and finally get over her death. Liam learns things he never that had happened while they shared Macen’s late wife while she was alive and lead to her suicide. Beck and Seth, Liam’s friend are there for her. They are her sounding board. She can talk about how she feels about her sessions with the guys and what revelations if any she has through those sessions. They all learn things in this book about each other and their selves. Not everything is easily processed. Some things that are revealed are hard to digest and take some time to process. They even cause some disagreements. Will they all be able to continue or will it all blow up in their faces. I can’t wait to read the third book in this series.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

"No matter what you think, I've always wanted you, Raine. From the very minute I laid eyes on you. ~ Liam O'Neill
"I've tried to voice how I feel about you. I'm still not sure you actually understand how strong my feelings have become, but now isn't the time for talking. Open yourself to me and let me show you." ~ Liam O'Neill
"Everything that happened today tells me that you're right. I should have confessed my feelings a long time ago. I just let all the other fears get in the way. "Now that I'm ready to say it, it's not the right time or place..." ~ Macen Hammerman
Soooooo....The Young and the Submissive is the second book in the Doms of her life series. If you thought One Dom to Love was steamy, holy hell, you ain't seen nothing yet.
Let me give you a quick rundown of book one. Raine Kendall an abused runaway teenager was found beaten in an alley by Macen Hammerman, owner of BDSM club Shadows. He takes her in and takes care of her. Here's the thing, Raine falls in love with Hammer and he loves her back. Only he never lets his feelings for her out. Meet Liam O'Neill, Hammer's friend. Liam realizes Hammer is in love with Raine and plots to get them together. That plans backfires and Liam winds up falling in love with Raine himself. He collars her and his friendship with Hammer is in the toilet.
Fast forward to book two. You'll learn more about Raine, how she doesn't trust easily and she doesn't explain her feelings. Apparently, to be a good sub, we all know you need to give your trust entirely to your Dom. Well Raine doesn't and in a devastating move the first act of Liam in this book is to uncollar her.
If you know Raine, you know one of her greatest fears is people leaving her. She also hates to disappoint the ones she loves and feels like she's ruined everything. She doesn't have Hammer. She doesn't have Liam and the two of them are ready to kill each other.
Raine leaves Shadows. She takes what little she has and she bails. This of course sends Hammer and Liam into a complete frenzy. The two of them are so in love with her it's crazy. They go into freak out mode trying to find her. But, Raine is a smart girl. She doesn't want to be found and our two dueling alphas can't find her. During this time they go to Raine's childhood home and meet her disgusting piece of filth father. I wish our alphas did more, but let's just say, dad got his.
In an interesting turn of events, Raine finds a surprising ally in Beck. You remember him? Well he turns out he's really not the jackass that I thought he was in book one. He literally takes Raine under his wing and helps her. The best part?? He didn't try to take advantage of her and he didn't give her up to Hammer. He gives her a place to stay, feeds her, and gives her some pretty damn good advice. Part of this advice is a little unusual. He basically tells Raine she could probably have both men. Of course Raine thinks that's crazy and brushes the idea off. She believes she's genuinely in love with both men.
When Raine finally comes back to Shadows, she tells Hammer and Liam she wants to train as a sub, but she wants a domme. I was a little confused here but that's what she asks for. Hammer and Liam are basically appalled by this. So they send Raine off to bed and tell her they'll discuss this request in the morning. Then our boys seriously beat the crap out of each other. Really they do.
After a bottle of Patron, a knock down drag out fight and some strong words from Beck and also Liam's friend from New York Seth, Hammer and Liam come to a decision that well quite frankly blew me out of the water.
I'm going to stop here because YOU HAVE TO READ IT. Raine's training is beyond steamy and she is one lucky girl. Each page I read made my girly parts tingle more than the page before it. So there's Raines training and there's the very last page which is an "Oh damn." moment.
Two things. One is I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK THREE!! Next, I definitely flip flopped on which Dom I'd love more. Both Liam and Hammer are hot and fantastic lovers, but my choice from book one is definitely not my choice from book two. I think I'll tell everyone who I pick after book three.
A four lip smack review for The Young and the Submissive. If you enjoy BDSM and you haven't checked out this series now...one click away friends.

This book kicks up the heat several notches over book one. The writing is concise and the characters well developed. I loved the depth of emotion shared among the trio. The emotions are raw, the passion unbridled and the sex is off the charts. Raine is one lucky woman to have two men who love her to the depths of their souls. Raine's past will forever be a stumbling block to her happy future if she cannot learn to communicate and trust the men that she loves. While Liam tries to convince her of his love, she finds it difficult to believe in his feelings. Try as he might to teach her and try to make her open up, she always finds a way to deflect him, usually through sex. Hammer watches his former best friend, Liam and Raine in a silent fury. He has loved and supported Raine for ages, yet he fought his feelings, sure that he was not good enough for her.
When Liam institutes yet another plan, the results are unexpected. Raine turns to an unexpected ally and Liam and Hammer join forces, with unintended results. Raine is able to confront part of her painful past, under the protective watch of Shadows resident sadist. Secrets are revealed all around. Hammer's relationship with Liam was on shaky ground before Liam claimed Raine. Raine doesn't want the men to know how deeply she is broken and Liam hides how deeply the breakup of his marriage affected him. Raine deeply loves both men, how could she chose when they each hold half of her heart? Can the trio find an HEA or is the surprise visitor at the conclusion of the book going to ruin a triple happy ending? I am on pins and needles waiting for the next book.

You will not be disappointed in book two...so in love with Raine, Hammer and Liam...who to choose???
Even though Raine is collared to Liam she cant help her feelings towards Hammer and its stopping her from completely submitting to Liam and when Liam calls on his friend Seth to devise a plan to help Raine to submit to Liam it backfires at the get go.
Laim uncollars Raine in hopes that she will start to open up to him and truly submit, but she does the opposite as she thinks Liam has done what everyone else in her life has done to her and leave her. So Raine runs from the only home she has ever known back to the town where her father lives leaving Liam and Hammer desperate to find her. But Raine turns to the last person you would expect to help her, Beck the Dom who Hammer had punish her.
Beck helps Raine to realize that she needs both Liam and Hammer in her life but not before Raine returns home to her fathers house and teaches him a lesson for the way he treated her growing up.
When Raine returns home to Liam and Hammer she suggests that a dome teaches her how to submit but neither man will hear of that and once Seth talks to Raine he realizes what Beck did and that's that Raine needs both Liam and Hammer to teach her not not just one of them, her heart belongs to both of them.
When Laim and Hammer bring Raine back to the cabin to teach her her lessons together she is pleased to no end but will it last, can they truly submit the three of them and be together or will it all crumble in front of them????

And we are back! I was so looking forward to see if Macen has a comeback plan or not!
As we know Macen, Liam & Raine are all involved in a love triangle. Drama unfolds, hot sex, and tempers all over the place! Sigh! I'm in love!
Raine & Liam are finally finding some semblance of happiness and would be totally happy, except Raine keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop. She starts cutting off communication from Liam and he is getting tired of hitting the walls she is putting up. Meanwhile, Macen can't stop wanting Raine and it is tearing him up to know that Liam has her. Personally I think it serves him right but, I also feel sorta bad at the same time.
When the moment comes that Liam finally has had enough of Raine's walls, Raine runs! Macen & Liam must come together to find her and help her accept her submissive side. This is when the book just became my favorite! I mean we are now talking menage material, which I love to read! The three of them finally come to grips with their new reality with lot of bumps and temper flares along the way. But just when everything is looking peachy, it may not be after all!
Yup there is a more cliffhanger type ending in this book than in the first. I am kinda peeved about that but, I'll get over it.

The young and the submissive is the second book in the Doms of her Life series. This book was hot and I have to say that I truly enjoyed this book. Raine discovers that she needs to grow and decides that she wants to get training from a Domme, Liam and Hammer decides to work together and offer to train her together. This book showed growth for all characters especially Raine. I really liked seeing her transition into submission and learning to let people in. The friendship with Becks was great and he was a must have for this book. I finally got the ménage I was looking for and Liam, Raine and Hammer really complete each other. I will warn you that this book ends on a cliff hanger. You will not be disappointed has this has everything you would want in a book.

This is most definitely a must read! Nothing short of 5 stars and if the scale was ten stars would be all of ten stars!
How do two head strong dominant men get the love of their lives to communicate with them? How do they get her to TRUST them? How do Liam and Macen work out their own issues of blaming each other, being jealous of each other as they shared Macen's wife in the past? Macen ..... has his own issues of being scared because of what happened with his wife......stuff that Liam does not even know.... until Macen finally tells him that she had killed herself and that she had been pregnant at the time......so how do they make this relationship with Raine work? Can they get past their own issues, can they work it out without sacrificing their relationship with Raine? They try but they fail and get caught and Raine leaves.....but she does not leave alone......
If you haven't read this....you really should you will love it.. I did! I can't wait to read some more!

This author trio has done it again. They delivered a story that keeps you invested from beginning to end. They deliver emotions, raw emotions, and desire and want and such a great set of characters.
I love the fact that this book focused on the emotional aspects of Hammer, Liam and Raine. We got to see inside their emotional state, their heart and go through the emotional journey with them as they try to find their way. I felt each emotion as the story unfolded. I felt Raine's pain, Hammer and Liam's heartache, devotion and love.
These three authors have done such an amazing job on this series. It's written so beautifully and flawlessly. I was even drawn to the secondary characters, Beck and Seth. I'm hoping we get some more of these two because they're quite intriguing. I love this series. It has all the emotional baggage that shatters and mends your heart, and it has the perfect amount of sexiness to keep you squirming in your seat. I absolutely can't wait to read the next book.

I just finished the second of the 4 books in this series and wow! I am so glad to see Raine coming into her own. After the number her father did on her I can understand why she has so little sense of self worth. I loved the scene where she beat the s**t it of him! He deserved much more. Her growth as a woman was heartwarming. That couldn't have come about without Liam and Hammer finally getting their act together, despite the fact that they came to blows. They had issues of their own they needed to resolve, and hopefully with Raine's love they will grow into the supporting men she needs to continue on the path to recovery.
Seth and Beck were great additions to the cast of characters. In the first installment I wanted to kick Beck in the ass, but here we see a caring man totally unlike the first impression we had of him. He is a great support for Raine through this whole process. Seth is the sme for Liam and Hammer, talking some sense into the two idiots when they needed it.
The further into the story I get the more involve I become. That cliffhanger really threw me. Just when we think our characters are finally getting on the road to their HEA Liam's ex-wife shows up to throw a wrench into the whole thing! Now I can't wait to start book 3.

This books picks up where the first one leaves off. Lots of angst, misunderstandings and insecurites abound in Liam, Riane and Hammer.
Raine loves both men but is fearful of what the future will bring. She tries to be a good sub, but can't help but tests Liam's control. Liam knows that Raine has feelings but Hammer, the prick who only wants her now that she has moved on.
Hammer needs Raine and blames Liam for stealing her from him.
The only way to make Raine happy and to keep her is for Liam and Hammer to work together, but only time will tell if they can put aside their insecurites to focus on the woman that holds their hearts.

I said it with the first book and I say it again WOW. This series just keep getting better and better. The emotions of the characters are felt by the reader. I laughed and cried and cried some more. I wanted to yell at the characters and tell them what to do. Raine, Macen, and Liam will burrow into your heart with their past issues and how they try for a better future. I can't seem to put these books down once I start. The authors have done an amazing job with this series so far. I am anxiously awaiting the chance to read the next book. I am on the edge of my seat wanting to know if they have a future together. Hoping they can work out all problems that they face. This is by the far best series I have read.

We pick up where we lift off with Hammer, Raine and Liam trying to figure out the tangles web that has been woven... I LOVE this series and can't wait to see what happens next.

The Young and the Submissive picks up where One Dom to Love left off. Raine and Liam are back at Shadows but all is not well with all three of them - Raine, Liam, and Macen (Hammer). This book got into the minds of each character and what they were feeling and what in their past is haunting them. We got to understand what made each character "tick" and what issues from the past is haunting them. It was also nice to see how they brought the other characters - Beck and Seth - into the storyline and how both of them try to get Raine, Liam, and Macen back on track on their relationship.

The emotions and relationships in The Young and The Submissive were a train wreck. Raine admits her trust issues, but Liam and Macen's are just as overwhelming. They both have unresolved trust issues from the past. Their dominant natures don't allow them to express themselves fully and they are all a mess.
The Liam and Macen are forced to work together to help Raine. Even though they're still upset with each other they want what's best for Raine.
Beck also comes into this book a lot and we learn quite a bit about him. We also learn more about Macen and his wife and a lot more about Raine's childhood. Her trust issues stem from her childhood.
Finally there are quite a few steamy scenes. Overall a great book. I really can't wait for the next book.

I give this a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
Rain has been collared by Lliam. He had started to get through Rain until she felt like she had to be there for Hammer. When they returned thing did not go as Lliam had wanted.
Hammer tried to get in between Rain and Lliam at any chance he could. But when Thanksgiving came around things really took a turn. Hammer and Lliam had it out and Hammer laid things out that Lliam had no idea about.
After that day, the tension got worse and Rain shut down more. Would Rain ever find a way to repair the friendship between the guys? What actions would she take to try and fix herself to move forward?
This is a heartwarming part to Raine's journey. I would recommend this to my friends.

I love the characters and I love what could be blossoming between the three of them. I also have really grown to love Beck and I hope to see him in his own book or series.
Why only the three stars? Personally, it was very slow. I had a difficult time getting through the first half of the book. I get that everyone had to work their individual issues and it ended up better in the end.
Raine has run away because she is so insecure and has put up all these walls. I was honestly just getting really annoyed with her. (Which I was very surprised about. Shayla Black is one author who has never let me down with the main female character.) Beck helps her out for a few days before she decides to come back to the two Doms. By the way, I love Beck in this book, That man deserves a medal for having to deal with Raine, Hammer, Liam and all their crap. I look forward to seeing him find a woman of his own in the future. He is super sweet!
Raine, Hammer, Liam, Beck, and Seth all go to Liam's lodge (the one he took Raine to in the first book). There Hammer and Liam are put to the test to see if they can share Raine. They both love her and they both know she loves them, but it will not be easy to break down the Great Wall of Raine she has put around herself. With some ups and downs and a little help from Beck and Seth they are able to find a way to all love together... FINALLY.
Like I said, I love the characters and I love where the story is going. This book just dragged a little too much for my taste. It ends on a cliffhanger and from the sound of it there could be some major drama when everyone comes down the mountain and returns to club. I really can't wait to see how this all pans out. On that last page I said out loud "Whaaaaat?!?!"

Raine Kendall has everything that she could need to make her happy. Sexy as sin Dom Liam O’Neill collared her as his and is doing everything he can to make her happy. She just can’t get out of the past in her head enough to truly submit to him. It also doesn’t help that the man she’s loved for years is still there by her side letting her know that he wants her to be his either!
Will Macen Hammerman AKA Hammer succeed in coming between Raine and Liam or will he eventually put her needs ahead of his own and step back?

Loved this second installment in this soap opera! Raine has taken up the position as Liam's submissive. Liam never imagined he would fall for his friend's girl, but then he does and if Hammer is too blind to see what is in front of him, Liam will take it all. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions as Raine develops feelings for both men. Liam and Hammer both love Raine and there is jealousy between them. You will feel everything in this book and it's so good! Love the heat and chemistry between the three of them. Great read!

This book picks up right where the first left off, thankfully! I was a bit stunned with all that happened in this book, but damn, it was so good!! It seems that everything is going fine, but it's not. Everything falls apart, and the most unlikely person helps try to put things back together. I was speechless at a few different points in this book, and then when that passed I wanted to slap one of the characters upside the head. The character kept changing too. I am absolutely loving this series! I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I know it's not a long time, but I want to find out what happens next!!
These ladies, Shayla, Jenna & Isabella have a real winner of a series on their hands, and I love it!

I loved this one even more so than the first one! The first one took a little bit to get into since I really disliked some of the characters but I ended up wanting to know what happened. This one is great! I loved seeing how the characters evolve and learn from each other, seeing the emotions on how they work through their problems was heartwarming and of course it was HOT! While I love this series, this book got to me because it was hard to get through. All the drama and fighting among the three characters almost made me what to give up and stop reading it but I didn't. Things finally start getting better and while I was able to finish the book, I still have a hard time clicking with Raine. She can't make up her damn mind and that drives me crazy. I'm praying the next book will get things back in control .

I couldn't put this book down, I admit it. I probably read it faster than I normally would because I wanted to see what twist would turn next. A seamless continuation from Book 1 in the series, we continue to see how the relationship of 3 people develop and can either survive or burn up. I look forward to the 3rd novel coming out from these lovely ladies!

A great follow up to book one! The roller coaster of emotions Macen, Liam, and Raine all go through had me hooked from the first paragraph. Well, I have to say Hammer & Raine got on my LAST nerve. I understand that Liam is all wrapped up in Raine but this is too much. Can they possibly share her? Not sure that will work out even tho the guys have shared before. I love Beck & Seth. They need their own book. I am looking forward to see what happens since Liam's ex pops up at the end of the book.

I liked this one better than the first of the series. I got that the gimmick of this series is that it's all a soap opera. The emotional swings are wild and absurdly drastic - they hate each other, no, the love each other, she can make a life with Liam, no, she'll always love Hammer! It was a little exhausting, but it worked, as a sort of almost-parody.
Then they got down to actually dealing with emotions. Realistically. Having conversations that involved actual communication, not just grand declarations and histrionics. It kinda felt like the authors decided that the reader needed a dose of more low-key realism in the midst of the melodrama.
So, yes, the whole premise is so overblown it's almost too much. But it works. It does. And I really did enjoy the more down-to-earth interlude where they actually started getting it together.

I loved this series so much that it deserved a reread. Nobody does it better when it comes to menage romance than Shayla Black. The triad of Hammer, Raine and Liam is anything but smooth. Each of them bring their own insecurities and secrets to the relationship. That makes for a bumpy ride especially when trying to help each other. I have to say one of my favorite chapters was the one when Raine returned to Shadows with Back after running away. The drunken verbal sparring between Hammer and Liam was funny but adding Beck's droll commentary made the whole thing hilarious. I love Beck....Shayla,Beck needs his own book! Looking forward to books 3 and 4.

Macen and Liam work really hard as Doms to get Raine to submit to them. This means they have to actually work together to give Raine what he wants and needs. Will they be able to do that ? Are they too stubborn to give ? Will Raine finally lower her walls that have protected her since childhood ? This book is a continuation of book one.

This is the second installment of the series and did not disappoint. I think it was even better than the first book. You got to see a completely different side of Hammer in this book and he definitely redeemed himself. You also learn a lot more about Beck and Seth. During the first book, I hated Beck, but now that I have seen another side to him he is one of my favorites. It is a great addition to the series, and leaves you not being able to wait for the next book.

I am starting on the third one and am anxious to read it!

Raine is trying hard to put her past behind her but it constantly stops her from moving forward. Not giving up on her Liam and Hammer fights to protect her from herself and from losing her. Awaking her fully to the ultimate in passion and love they make her the center if their world. Just when you think everything is going great, it just got more complicated. Loved the moments of venerability by both Liam and Hammer. Looking forward to reading book three. LOVED IT!

Another great book by Shayla and and even better continuation of her series. I loved this book more than I did the first one for a lot of reasons. The main reason being that I'm elated Macen, Liam, and Raine are working out their relationship. They all have real people's and insecure they battle versus the superficial issues some people think make great angst in a story. I am so excited to reread and continue this series.

A second read in preparation for the new book coming out and I loved it just as much as the first time around. I found myself genuinely rooting for the characters to get their stuff together! Of course once they start to get on the same page, things get interesting once again. A great read!

What can I say.. Couldn't put book 1 down and definitely couldn't leave this one alone. I have to admit... Having 3 exceptional writers is most certainly seen in this series so far. You will be angry, sad, happy, excited throughout. The descriptive writing is amazing!! You will love it!!
