Nix finally passes all the Vampire Court tests even though it looked like 2 of the court where working to have her fail. The fates are the last test and they confirmed it. Can't wait for the next one!

What more can I say. This book kept me guessing and rooting for the good guys. The relationships are very cohesive and makes you fall in love with them yourself. Awesome series. For now, onto the next one.

When we are at several books into a series, I get to the point I have no idea what to say in a review. When readers have made it this far, they already know what mostly to expect from an author and series. This is the case with this series. So, here goes: this book was great!! I have declared with each sister that I love the one currently even more than the last, and that is the case with Nix. I think I do like her the best. She is just so humble (not that the other ones weren’t) and level-headed. And, Ms. Hall’s signature great writing and great plots abound in this book. And, the action is heart-pounding and fun. Let’s also not forget Ares. He is just the perfect man for Nix. He just melts my heart. I always know that I am going to get a great book with this author, and this one does not disappoint. If you are already a fan, you will love this book. If you haven’t started this series, you need to! This series is one of my favorites and I hate to see it ever end! Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Just when I thought that these books couldn't get any better I picked up this one and had to change my mind. Although this is mainly Nix's story all the favourite characters are involved plus some new ones.
Loved the bit with the gossipy goddess in the bathing pool. Humour as well as plenty of action.
The book seems to be slightly faster paced than earlier books in the series, not rushed in any way, but it certainly doesn't drag. Ares is proving to be a good fit in my opinion and I think Nix could outshine both Cass and Del. If you haven't read the other books yet you need to at least read the one before this, but I recommend reading them all. I put off starting this book until I had a free day so I wouldn't get interrupted, and since I already have an advance copy of the next one I going to start that straight away.

Lindsey Hall hits it out of the park again with a well written story that is action packed with lots of magic and Ares! I really like Ares and Nix together and look forward to seeing more of their story unfold along with more of Nix's past revealed. I am really enjoying Nix's story and have to say I'm hooked. Each book has gotten better and I love how the series is split up, yet you still get all the other characters you've fallen in love with from previous stories in the current book. Truly a great series you won't be able to put down.

This is a fast-paced action packed story that moves us closer to the end of the series and the answers to all our questions. The trials that Nix undergoes in her effort to save herself and her sisters from being revealed as Firesouls are imaginative and exciting and her victories hard won but worth it. Throughout these trials she is guided by the Vampire enforcer Ares and their attraction to one another undeniable. Just delicious! Highly recommended.

Nix and Ares are at it again. If Nix doesn't want to be outed for a FireSoul, then she must pass the trials for the Vampires showing that she would be an ally. I love how their relationship changes throughout the story. The goddesses of fate were really cool too. The Triumvirate's job is almost over and I can't wait to see the finale.

Nix definitely doesn't trust easily. Meeting deities was really cool and finding out what they do in their free time was hilarious. In each of the series, the women seem to feel that they are relatively powerless. They learn that they are really not, but it struck me as a journey of self empowerment too. I realllllly like Ares haha. Too bad this series isn't more adult ;)

Foreal if all her day weeks are like this one she needs a little rest and relaxation at a funny farm or war zone. Things are heating up with her vampire enforcer. I predict by next month the story will be over and they'll be married. Okay I like this series it's hard for me to review individual books when I'm reading more. On to the next book.

This is a great sequel. Nix comes into her own. She always thought of herself as weak and not as strong as everyone around her. In this book she realizes she has a lot to offer and is equally strong. Trials bring out her true potential. Ares compliments her perfectly.i am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Fantastic! A missing artifact, trials of loyalty and a master evil intent on taking over the world. A great plot that you will devour in one sitting. Terrific characters that show insecurity that we all have. Must read especially if you have read the other books.

This book was mostly a series of cheesy action sequences that would have worked well in video game or Steven Sppielberg movie. There was a squicky romance where the author gradually tried to convince us the protagonist should trust & date the vampire who put a collar on the heroine on their first meeting and nearly got her killed many times. The characterization sort of worked.
