In Name Only

The story was okay, but the errors were crazy. I have read two of her books now and I had the same problem with the 2nd book. Please let me know who is reading these books before they go to print. The errors make the author seem like she can't write. You spend some much time figuring out the errors that you somewhat lose the story.

This is my first book by Vivian rose Lee. I enjoyed this book very much. The book has a don't give up attitude and romance as well. All relationship have stumbles and couples need to know it take work, to make it work. . Love is worth it. Keep up the good writing

When I saw the reviews I thought I would try the book anyway.. in the reviews they complain about the poor editing...(can you say SPELL CHECK!!!) but the story is not bad reading.. wished it was a little longer

Reading this book was very frustrating. The plot of the book was typical, nothing exceptional. The plot wasn't the problem. There were grammatical and spelling errors on every page. It took the fun out of reading and enjoying the story. The worst part about the errors was that most of them seemed to be careless errors. Someone needs to do a better job of proofreading.
This was pretty sad.

I just love this book. The storyline is great. I am happy that Dina was not able to come between them, cause for a while it seemed like she was. What a beautiful ending. Is there a sequel to this one cause I will definitely read it.

I found it in the list for interracial romance. I paid got it and began to read. A few pages in, I learned that it was an African American story. Stopped reading and stopped caring and hated I wasted any money on it. I didn't want to rate but a have to,so one.

This was not a bad book. It covered a wide range of emotions. The initial attraction between Ben and Sky was sweet. It made you hope something good was going to happen in Sky's life.

When Ben went off the deep end about their situation, anger was the prevailing emotion, to put it mildly. To read about his family calling him out when he was wrong and supporting Sky was great.

I am obviously more vindictive than the author. I would have taken Dina down. The author made Ben much more gracious.

The other thing about this book was the way it flowed. Transitions from one scene to another were not always smooth. As I would read, sometimes I would be well into the next couple of paragraphs and wonder how did we get from there to here?

BRIEF SUMMARY
Skylar is very shy and keeps to herself. While designing a wedding dress for a bride, the mother of the bride invites her to the wedding. At the wedding, she meets the bride's brother, Benjamin. Benjamin is a US Naval Commander, who felt an immediate attraction to Skylar. When both succumb to their attraction, it results in an unwanted marriage in name only.

THOUGHTS
This was a really good story from start to finish. We get to read three main characters within this book, Skylar, Ben and Ben's family. I enjoyed the way the author incorporated everyone in the story, it allowed the family to play an important part throughout the story. This detailed book includes family, love and the big misunderstanding /mistake that the plot is based on. Sky was widowed at a young age. Her husband was a drunk and never had anything nice to say to her, which gave her a shy and reclusive personality. Ben was sexy and sweet until he became mean and selfish, but later redeemed himself. The opening scene of the book was the big wedding of Ben's sister. At the wedding, both Skylar and Ben's chemistry were so strong, that it sets the pace for the rest of the story. If you enjoy a good story with the ingredients of family, Sunday dinners and love, then this would be the read for you.

I never do this and I don't enjoy doing it for this review, however, I have to inform the readers. Normally, I don't care if a book is supported by a publishing company, self published, and or if it has errors I can bypass. However, this book had an enormous amount of errors, extreme volumes that even I found distracting. I was able to get through the book, because for me the story was good and enjoyable. This story deserves a 5 star rating, but I decided on 4 stars. My rating of the book is solely based upon the story but had to drop a star from the ratings. If you want to read the book based on the story, I encourage it. If you prefer differently, then this may annoy you and hinder you from enjoying the book. I will read more of the author's books because I think she is extremely talented.

This book had the potential to be very good. It failed. The plot was good but it's progression, the editing, and character development were all horrible. Almost from the first page, the grammatical errors were too much for me. I almost stopped reading at one point but I made myself continue. The reaction of the male protagonist to what he thought was the female's deception was completely out of left field. He did not seem as if he would react that way and it was not a valid reaction. In other words, there was no reason for him to behave the way he did. I was very disappointed and I wish I had read the reviews first.

Was this story created by using Dragon or something like it?

The basic story was good but the editing was lacking.

The author does herself and the readers an injustice.

this book had so much promise, but because of the amount of grammatical errors it was not a nice read. My advise to the author is please have it proof read before it is published. You have potential and I hope the next book is better or it can be edited and the mistakes removed.

Very good ,, it held my attention to the very end. I would recommend this book, spellbinding. The author did an excellent job. I am glad Skylar and Ben had a chance to really fall in love and for Skylar to reunite with her mother.

This is not an IR book!!!!!! idk if this an the store mistake or the author scamming readers. This pisses me off because Im paying for this ish and I expect to get what the HECK I paid for. GET IT TOGETHER!!!

This author is very talented and should continue writing these great novels. I agree with the others, if you get someone to edit your work before you actually publish it there would be no limits to how far you could go. I have read two of your novels and the plots are great.

Another great story by this talented young author. I am enjoying read all the books she has written so far. I don't know what I am going to reading once I have read all the books she has written. O..my what will I read. Help!!!!

This book had everything, lust, love, trust issues and a great family unit. I loved the characters and how they came to see what they had with each other. The idea was turned into a wonderful story.
