I loved this book but I wish that it had been a bit longer. I would have enjoyed a bit more development for Isabel and Ford and for Conseulos and Kent and I wish that it had been a bit more realistic. Fool's Gold is definitely a place that I would love to live in if it were real and I love all of the crazy and caring characters in the series. Even though I've read the three latest ones, I'm only just now going back to read the rest of the series and I wish that I had read them in order. I'm one of those crazy people that reread the entire Harry Potter series in order right before the newest HP book would come out and I generally read all series in order so going back in Fool's Gold time has been an unexpected challenge. Overall, I love this book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series! I'm also one of those fortunate people who have been included in her review crew. This wasn't my favorite book by Susan Mallery but it's still extremely well written and a lot of fun to read!

Finally - Ford and Isabel's story! We have known for a few books how she feels for Ford, but not even Ford realizes what he feels for her. The guy is adorable, but he sure is dense. He does finally get it and lets his romantic side come out. Bonus is his brother Kent's foray back into the male/female world. Another bonus is so much of Felicia! Susan Mallery's characters have a way of grabbing you and not letting go. She leaves us eagerly waiting for the Fool's Gold book to see what everyone is doing now.

When Isabel Carlisle's older sister cheats on and dumps Ford Hendrix two weeks before their wedding, he runs off and enlists in the U.S. Navy. Due to a teenage crush, Isabel mails him "Dear John" letters for years. Despite never getting a response from him, she only stops when she herself gets married. Now both Isabel and Ford are back in Fools Gold laying claim to the only place they called home. Ford retired from the military and is determined to start his own bodyguard business, and, Isabel on the rebound from a broken marriage takes over her parent's bridal shop. Both don't want really want to stay in Fool's Gold forever and neither one of them is looking for love. But just sometimes, things are just better left up to fate.

I have been waiting for Ford's story for forever. This Fool's Gold installment was very sweet, and very cute. One of my favorites in the series.

Loved this latest installment of the Fool's Gold series. We all looked forward to Ford's homecoming and his fall into love. I think Ford was great. He was funny and kind. Isabelle was a great character as well. I liked that they didn't have too much of a falling out in the end, but just enough to make them realize they loved each other. Mallery sets us up for the next trilogy with the introduction of the football "boys". I really liked the lady that came with them. Fun book, quick read.

From the first Fool's Gold book I read I wanted Ford Hendrix's story.....It was well worth the wait! First of all Fool's Gold is a community I would love to be a part of! I love the willingness to help one another. And who hasn't had a crush on an older boy at one time or another so the way this story played out made the wait worth it! I think this is my favorite of the books so far. I will continue reading Fool's Gold stories as long as Susan Mallery continues to write them!!!!

When Isabel returns home to Fool's Gold to run her parent's bridal shop, she avoids her high school crush, well not really AVOIDS him...but, you know, she just makes sure they don't ever run into each other. Ford is well aware of the feelings Isabel had for him when he left for the Navy but she was his exgirlfriend's kid sister. Upon his return home, he realizes Isabel is no longer a "kid" but he can't fall in love, he's just not capable of it. Maybe they can just have some fun... This book had me entralled from the first page to the last. Great, quick read. Loved it! And there is a story within a story so BONUS!

Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series is amazing and Three Little Words adds depth and a plethora of characters and potential future love stories for this quaint, fictional Northern California town. I started reading the Fool's Gold series when the Hendrix triplets were high-lighted and their older brother, Ford, was just mentioned in passing as being in the military. Jump a few years later and now Ford is back home in Fool's Gold and get's his own love story in Three Little Words. Susan Mallery has a way of making community, history, friendships and families so endearing and cherished. You feel a part of this community and I like the tapestry of past characters to new characters. The bond and friendship that Ford shares with Isabel is sweet, and their ensuing romance that more interesting. At 14 Isabel had a crush on Ford, her older sister Maeve's fiance. Maeve and Ford break-up and Ford enlists. Isabel writes to him for many years, but Ford never responds. Jump 10 years later, and both Isabel and Ford are back in Fool's Gold for their own reasons. I like the aspect that Isabel wrote these letters to Ford, and he kept them all these years because they kept him going during his time in the military. How these two finally connect is both charming and heart-warming. The third book in the summer series definitely saved the best for last!

Much anticipated third visit to Fool's Gold this summer, with the last two Hendrix son's finding love. Three Little Words is Ford and Isabel's story along with a side romance between Kent and Consuelo. As always a special treat created by Susan Mallery with strong women, conflicted men, wonderful friendships, and happy endings. Love this series and that it is also readable as a stand alone. But be warned that once you read one you will "need" to read the rest... have fun and enjoy!

I am sure I have read ALL of Susan Mallery's books... But if Susan keeps writing the way she is, I think I will start looking elsewhere for a new author - and that will be a shame as, for the most part, I DO enjoy her books!

I am getting tired of Susan and other popular authors doing themselves harm by writing quite graphic and totally unnecessary sex scenes! Come on... you used to be able write a very enjoyable story and allowed the 'hint' of romance but left the details to the reader. After reading this book, there's not much left to anyone's imagination and I am getting tired of reading more and more smut attached to a wonderful story!

Fool's Gold was a great town to visit and I have so enjoyed getting to know all the townspeople... I will miss the various celebrations and meeting new residents - but... I won't miss the constant push of sex, sex, sex.... Come on, Susan! I know sex sells but so does a well written book!

I grew up reading romances since I was 10 years old and Fool's Gold is one of my favorite towns to escape to. I loved "Just One Kiss" and "Two of a Kind" that I had to read "Three Little Words." All summer I've been waiting for the story of Ford and Isabel. I was intrigued with the story line of how Isabel poured her heart out to Ford through letters. You can feel the teenage heartache even today when they run into each other after all those years. The reader keeps hoping that Ford secretly longed for Isabel and that Isabel can't forget Ford and how much she meant to him.
I couldn't stop reading the book once I started. I love that Kent's story is also in the book as that adds dimension to the story. Susan Mallery does a great job of keeping the emotions running high and by the time the book ends, you felt like you were on a rollercoaster of emotions. I can relate to the heroines in all the Fools Gold books; at some point you have felt the same joy and anger, heartache and bliss.
"Three Little Words" does not disappoint and if you haven't read it, stop what you are doing and pick up a copy!! It's a must read!

Hands down the best Fool's Gold book yet!! I love how we get to read Isabel's letters to Ford, not just have them being referred to. That helped to flesh out her character. I thought Ford was charming and sweet to the woman who loved him as a girl. Add in the "bonus" romance of complete opposites Kent and Consuelos and you've got the perfect end to this trilogy in the Fool's Gold series. Can't wait to read about the hunky football players that are moving into town!

Susan Mallery's gift is building characters with depth and reality. In Three Little Words, Ford Hendrix leaps off the pages.

When circumstances create a "friends with benefits" relationship between Ford and Isabel Beebe, Ford presents himself as an earnest, honest, straightforward guy. Unlike the characters in the movie, "Friends With Benefits," Ford and Isabel have a rich history together.

In Mallery's hands, their relationship moves forward through delightful conversations that sparkle with wit and honesty and make us love this couple. Three Little Words is a great capstone to the newest trio of titles set in Mallery's Fool's Gold, Calif. -- the land of happy endings. Make sure it's on your reading list.

I fell in love with Three Little Words, and I especially fell in love with Ford. It was so great to read an entire book centered around Ford. He's been the illusive and mysterious former Fool's Gold resident. Now, he's back and although still a bit mysterious we've now had the chance to meet and really get to know him as he makes a life in Fool's Gold and readjusts to being a civilian, not to mention that he explores his past and his present with Isabel.

A one-sided teenage crush turns into a pretend adult relationship to stop his mother from taking applications for a wife for him. This pretend relationship then becomes the real deal......a two-sided adult love. The journey has a few stumbles along the way but well worth every one of them. It's another good read you hate to put down because you want to see what's going to happen next. You come to the end and wish it could continue just a few more pages.

I absolutely LOVED the bodyguard books! Although this was not my favorite of the three it was still good! Im a little upset because I like consuelo and I feel her and Kent should have had their own book. I found myself anticipating their story more. I love Isabels character, heck I even liked Fords. But I was a tad upset. I am so tired of the guys breaking things off and the girls being left hurt. I just didnt like how the whole book played out. It is good don't get me wrong, but I wish Ford would have gone more in depth. I just felt like there was so much missing. I also felt like tue whole ending was rushed. Otherwise great book!

In Three Little Words (Fool's Gold # 12) by Susan Mallery, Ford Hendrix is still not sure coming back to Fool's Gold is a good idea. He loves the town and the people, but his mother is on a mission to get him married off. And the sooner the better as far as she's concerned. Ford just wants to get settled and get used to being back among civilians. Plus he's in no hurry to try his hand at a relationship again. He thinks of himself as a lifetime bachelor and not the stuff that great husbands are made of. He's seen too much death and destruction in the world while overseas as a Navy SEAL to think he could offer a woman anything long term. Ford figures that maybe if he could get someone to pretend to be his girlfriend it might throw his mother and sisters off his trail for a while. And who better to ask than Isabel Beebe, who professed her undying love for him when she was fourteen as he was headed off to join the Navy. He had been engaged to her sister until Maeve confessed to cheating on him. Isabel then began writing to Ford while he was serving in the military and she became his lifeline to the civilian world. He watched her grow up through the years via her writing and he kept every single letter she ever sent him. He could never quite write back, with all the different locations he traveled and there wasn't a lot he could tell her due to the secrecy of his missions. But Isabel's letters got him through some really tough situations.

"She gathered her resolve and smiled at him. "You're going to have to solve this another way because I'm not going to be your fake girlfriend."
He sighed heavily. "I'm doomed."
"So it would seem. Want a beer?"
His head came up and he grinned. "Sure."
"And like that, he's healed."
"Hey, I'm a simple guy."

It just so happens that Ford is renting the apartment above her parent's garage and Isabel is staying temporarily at her parent's as well, housesitting while they travel. After they are reintroduced to each other, having been apart for over a decade, Ford asks Isabel to be his "fake girlfriend". She turns him down flat. He continues to pester her until she finally concedes. They both know they have a serious mutual attraction going on and Ford hopes he can take advantage of that fact. Their first appearance at a local festival finds them kissing passionately and from there things heat up quickly. Isabel wasn't interested in a physical relationship at first after the way her marriage ended, but Ford proves to her that they can enjoy themselves and still keep emotionally detached. Or so he thinks. He soon finds out that he wants to spend all his time with Isabel, yet keeps telling himself that he's not falling for her. When she makes a huge decision about her future, Ford panics and unfortunately may have just thrown away the best thing that's ever happened to him.

"She laughed. The sweet sound kicked him in the gut. Or maybe a little lower. How was he supposed to think about business with Isabel next to him all night? Not that he wanted her to be anywhere else.
"You're messing with my head," he complained.
"I'm not doing anything."
"Then God help me if you start to try."

Isabel Beebe had a huge crush on Ford Hendrix throughout her teenage years. She can't believe her sister could be such a fool and let him go, driving him away to join the military. She's embarrassed now over the letters she wrote to him and how silly they must have sounded. If he ever actually read them, that is. But Ford is back in Fool's Gold now and staying next door. Isabel makes the first move to make sure things won't be too awkward between them and is surprised how incredibly sexy he still is when they meet for the first time. He's also cocky and quite sure of himself. She's shocked when Ford asks her to be his fake girlfriend. It's tempting, just to get the opportunity to spend a lot of time with him, but it's a bad, bad idea. She can feel the sparks between them already and knows it would only get more intense. But Ford finally wears her down. Isabel tells herself it will be fine because she'll be going back to New York to start her fashion business with a friend in a few months, so there's an exit in sight. Only, she can picture herself staying in Fool's Gold, taking over her family's business and having a future with Ford, even though he says he doesn't do relationships. He ignites something in her that she's never had with the few other men she's been with. Her business plans get thrown into a tailspin and Isabel then is forced to make some tough decisions. Should she stay in town and pursue her dreams here, Ford included, or should she cut and run, going back to New York to start fresh?

"In that heartbeat, fun, charming Ford was gone and in his place was a man hungry for a woman. Even with her limited experience, she recognized the need.
Her stomach clenched as unexpected wanting ripped through her. She forgot where she was and what they were talking about."

I feel like I say this every time I read a Fool's Gold book but...I LOVED this story! Susan Mallery has yet again given us a couple who are perfect together in every way but just can't admit it to themselves. Ford doesn't think he can love any woman--that he's destined to only have casual relationships, and Isabel has a hard time trusting her gut instinct after her divorce. The dialogue between them was fun and snappy, keeping me chuckling the whole time. And we also get to see Kent Hendrix and Consuelo Ly begin a relationship which made this worth reading for that part alone. Love it when we get a twofer! I guess I j

It seems like I've been waiting forever for Ford's story and it was definitely worth the wait. I've been crushing on Ford and I love the way this story unfolded. Isabel and Ford came together flawlessly and it was funny, and romantically written. Susan should look deeper into that family tree and find me some more Hendrix's boys to fall in love with! I finished this book on my birthday and it was a perfect end to my day! Fool's Gold is the best contemporary romance series and I highly recommend that you start it!

Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold novels are a continuing look into a sweet little town. With each one, we get a closer look at the lives of people in the community. In Three Little Words, we focus on Isabel and Ford, but we also get to catch up on the other characters that we have come to know and love. As always, these novels leave me feeling wishful that a place like this really exists.

Any book in the Fool's Gold series is always heartwarming to read, but Three Little Words definitely surpassed expectations. I loved reading the long-awaited stories of Isabel and Ford and Consuelo and Kent in this book. Like other Fool's Gold novels, the characters were well developed and the story had the right mix of storytelling, humor, and seriousness. Ford's mom went a little overboard in her quest to keep her son in Fool's Gold, but it created some very humorous moments in the story. The only thing I would change about this book or any other in the series would be to add a longer ending. I always feel like the characters get together and then the book is done. An epilogue wouldn't hurt every now and then is all I'm saying.

What I love the most about the Fool's Gold series is the sense of feminine empowerment present in each of the books. There are not many romance novels out there that show how strong and smart women can be, so I will definitely be reading any future Fool's Gold novels. Quite a few new interesting characters were introduced in this book, so I'm looking forward to reading their stories.

Omg! I have come to love all the citizens of Fools Gold, but this book is by far one of the best in the series. The characters Isabel and Ford were pretty sure they would never fall in love again. Due to the pressure of Fords mom on him to get a girl friend, he asked Isabel to be his pretend girl friend. They sort of set up house, and pretended to care about each other. While reading this the whole time you want then to figure out their true feelings. An excellent book that leaves you with an awe feeling! Read it, I promise you won't be disappointed!

I absolutely loved three little words Ford and Isabels story was heart warming and loving. I most liked Kents and Consuelos love affair as well. Ford and Isabel were young friends who never had a future as he was to marry her sister as a teenager. Much has happened since she last saw Ford and now he all Man is he to much for her young heart? Find out more in Fool's Gold and if the magic happens again with all the loving characters.

I loved this story! In the world we live in now with so many of our family members fighting for our country, I'm sure this story hits home for so many people. These letters being written and read and re-read just to give someone hope. I'm so glad this story had a happy ending. I have loved everyone of Susan's Fool's Gold series book but this one struck gold. Thank you Susan for a wonderful read. If you haven't picked up any of Susan's books yet, now is the time - I guarantee you'll come to love them like family!

I just finished Three Little Words by Susan Mallery. Susan Mallery has a knack for characters that you really care about and that remind you a bit of yourself. We get to watch what happens when Isabelle's path crosses with her childhood crush. It makes you wonder a bit, what would happen if your own childhood crush came back into your life. I always have to make sure I have time to read when I start one of her stories, since I just don't want to step away from the characters. Fool's Gold is a place that I would love to live.

I highly enjoyed Three Little Words and my trip back to Fool's Gold. This book brought a perfect ending for almost all of the men - and woman- of the CDS security firm. It was especially nice to finally see all of the Hendrix kids get their happily ever after. Although it isn't necessary to read the trilogy in order, I highly recommend doing so. It is like revisiting old friends. Now I really hope Angel gets a story soon.

This was by far my favorite for this grouping of 3 Fool's Gold stories. Isabel's letters were common everyday recordings of her life but they kept Ford sane throughout his career in the Armed Forces. They humanized things for him and when he realizes the importance of the letters and his feelings for Isabel it was pivotal. Great story - now can't wait for the next one!Three Little Words (Fool's Gold, Book 12) (Hqn)

I am a Susan Mallery addict, so I was waiting for this book to become available because I NEEDED to read the last of the Hendrix family story(ies).

This book is definitely a pick up and never put down type of book. The connection between Ford and Isabel is swoon-worthing. Kent and Consuelo also have a very unique start-up relationship. I wish the book was longer so that more of Kent and Consuelo's relationship could have been explained, but they aren't necessarily the main players in this book, just a side note.

The ending seemed a little rushed to me. I felt that it could have been drawn out a little bit more because it just didn't seem very realistic. Not that many romance novels are, but sometimes things can be too rushed. Other than that, this is a book that needs to be read...but more importantly, you should start at the beginning of the Fool's Gold books so you get all the stories straight.

I want to find a guy like the men in Fool's Gold! Ford Hendrix is my idea of a dream guy... I couldn't put this book down as I read about his developing relationship with Isabel. He took care of her lawn because "boyfriends do that sort of thing." Wow...sign me up. At my age, romance is as much about the practical gestures as anything else.

It was a bonus watching the relationship between Kent and Consuelo bloom because they seemed a much more unlikely couple. Susan also introduced more characters who I'm sure will get their own Fool's Gold book. I love Fool's Gold and have often wished I could find such a place in real life.

Definitely a page turner! Plus Mallery keeps you on edge of never quite knowing who will be on the next page. I loved "Watching" both Ford and Kent Hendrix lose their heart's. Also having Consuelo realize she was worth loving and going after it, is probably a paragraph full of cliches itself. I really enjoyed Isabel's character, but from the moment Consuelo stepped foot in Fools Gold I couldn't wait for her happy ending.

Romances, that is...
I love the whole Fool's Gold series, and was looking forward to Isabel & Ford's story. As good as it is, I think I enjoyed the romance of Kent & Consuelo even more. Was interesting to view a story from a female warrior's point of view.

I highly recommend this whole series (12 or 14 books by now) if you like sweet romances set in a fun fictional town. Read them in order if you can.

The story reads endearingly smooth! The characters are so well developed they quickly draw the audience to empathize and cheer for their challenges! Just enough romance Rama to keep readers captivated! Couldn't put it down! Will be seeking other "fools gold novels so I can have a deeper continued friendship with this lovely community town! Thanks Susan!

Susan Mallery hits another home run with Ford's story! Her mix of humor with the story telling is one reason I love her books. I want to move to Fool's Gold, but since I can't do that, reading about it is the next best thing. I have read her books several times each, especially when I need a pick-me-up. I usually laugh out at parts. Can't wait to read Angel's story, and find out about the newest characters moving into town.

I just love the Fool's Gold series, this is suppose to be a trilogy but really just another story about Fool's Gold and the people who live there. If every town was like Fool's Gold what a wonderful world this would be. Isabel has had feelings for Ford since she was a teenager and didn't think he returned those feelings. This is a wonderful story of how they meet again after many years and fall back in love.

This book was a continuation of the series that Susan Mallery did this summer. Just like always, you think you know how things are going to go, but she always have you laughing, crying and rooting for everyone in the book. How she wraps all her characters together from the first book of the Fools Gold series, till this one, it is amazing. When you think you have it figured out what is going to happen next, then she adds just a little twist to things. Susan brings her characters to life and you think they could be your next door neighbors. Thanks Susan, I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series and in all your other books.

I loved this story about a childhood crush that grows into a friendship then into a love. I also loved the secondary story of Kent and Consuela. A sign of a good story is how often I point out a part to my daughter (who does not share my love of romance novels); if I can get her laughing you know the conversation is funny. There were several times I pointed things out to her and had her laughing. I can't wait for more Fool's Gold stories.

Fool's Gold is such a fun town, and we finally get to meet Ford. Ford is the Hero that finally comes home to his family and friends and his "pen pal" that kept him going while he was fighting the war to keep us all free. He came home with lots of secret issues and didn't feel better till he admitted to loving Isabel. There are many side stories that tie all the friends together. Susan's books always make you feel good.

She just keeps bringing the stories to life. Ford finally comes home, after so many hints of him through multiple books. I simply love how she weaves all the characters together, yet you could still pick this book up and read it on it's own. Of course it's more fun if you've read the entire series. Thank you Susan for bringing laughter and tears to us all, I look forward to the next Fool's Gold adventure.

It takes time to find love or does it? Isabel wrote letter to Ford for many years without hearing from him while Consuelo and Kent have just meet. There are many secrets while plans and dreams have to adjust. Fool's Gold is the type of town we all wish that we live in. This books also shares with us how members of a family can have many different types of dreams. I love there is a wedding store and drama that goes on in the shop. The book sets up the next series and I can't wait to go back to Fools's Gold.

It is great to be back in Fool's Gold! If you a regular Fool's Gold reader you feel the same way I do, finally FORD'S STORY! I was so excited to read Ford's story that I unfortunately was a little let down that he had to share it with Kent's story and the intro to all the new characters. All in all, I would never miss a Fool's Gold book but I have to say I wanted more Ford...

Picking up a Fools Gold novel is like taking a trip back home, and Three Little Words is no exception. It is my favorite book in the series so far. I am a hugh Susan Mallery fan and wait anxiously for her new books.

Can the Fool's Gold series get any hotter? This book proves it can! I think we've all had a childhood crush, an infatuation with the cute older boy down the street, etc. What fun to read what happens when Isabel's crush, Ford, returns to Fool's Gold, and we discover that this crush wasn't necessarily one-sided. I also loved the addition of Kent and Consuelo's story. I can't wait to see who will fall under the Fool's Gold spell next.

I liked the book. Ford and Isabel are a nice interesting couple and you get to see the history of them as a couple even before they were one. The secondary characters of Kent and Consuelo are really strong and frankly I wished they had their own book because as a couple they were so interesting and a change of pace (the woman coming back from war).

First off let me say that, I'm a big fan of Susan Mallery's and the Fool's Gold series! I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best at reviews but you will be getting my honest opinion about the book and it's something I'm working on. In Three Little Word's we finally get to read Ford's story. I've been waiting for it for a while now so I will admit to some jumping up and down when I finally had it in my hands! Also every time I think there is no way Susan can top the last book she does! With Three Little Word's we get the very sweet story of Isabel and Ford and as a bonus Kent and Consuelo. I promise you will walk away loving both couples and that you will want your very own Kent or Ford for yourself! Don't miss out on the fun! Pick up Three Little Word's and start reading it today! Once again Susan Mallery makes us get to know and love her characters. If you read all the Fools Gold books like I have you always heard about Ford but never really met him. He was worth meeting and his story with Isabel was adorable! I loved that they had a relationship for years by her pouring her heart out to him in letters like a diary and that he unbeknownst to her cherished every one of them. The additional romance of Kent and Consuelo was a nice touch too. Now if only these types of men existed in the real world! sigh

Isabel and Ford's story is just another example of the great works published by Susan Mallery. There story was full of chemistry, although the relationship started out as a rouse to throw off Ford's mom. I love the fact that Isabel is running Paper Moon - I love all things weddings!

I also love that Consuelo got her happily ever after with Ford's brother, Kent.

I can see myself living in Fool's Gold and becoming friends with the women there!

Keep these wonderful books coming, Susan!

I was really excited to read Ford and Isabel's story as their "relationship" had been referenced in the last two books. Susan Mallery just seems to get better with each book in her series. Each summer I look forward to catching up with the people of Fools Gold, and she always delivers. It always seems that I like the last book of the summer the best, and this year Ford's story is no exception. I especially loved the humor. I thought this one will be like the rest of those "slow"moving stories. The kind you read when you want no complications and you want to enter the world of "chill". This book is like that and more. Unlike other slow books that becomes irritating in its slowness that you sometimes wish it would just end, this one makes you want to read it all the way to the end. Worth reading.

I love Susan Mallery; you can count on her to write a good story that leaves you feeling happy. While that is true of this book, it's not her best effort. I particularly enjoyed the added romance for Consuelo (I love her), and the main couple of Ford and Isabel was nice, too. My problem with the book was that the resolution felt rushed. It was slightly rushed for Consuelo and Kent, buy Ford and Isabel felt very rushed, as though the author had to wrap it up in 5 pages. It was just too pat; hence the 3 star rating.

Susan Mallery continues to enthrall readers with the goings on in Fool's Gold. Isabel and Ford have their lives turned upside down. Isabel winds up putting her dreams on hold in New York by coming back to Fool's Gold to prepare the family bridal business for sale. Ford just wants a quiet life back in Fool's Gold, but did not count on his mother's plan to find him a wife at any cost. Thrown together by need, driven down a path that neither saw ahead, Isabel and Ford find the magic that only Fool's Gold holds.

The third book in this Fool's Gold trilogy gives us two stories in one...Isabel and Ford, along with Consuelo and Kent. I loved being able to follow two love stories at once - just more "bang for your buck" from an author who has given us so much already. Isabel and Consuelo find relationships with two very different brothers to be as challenging as can be, both for themselves and for the brothers. Ford's character is the guy that most women dream about. The relationship between the two was great the way it was a slow burn in building up past friends of course all the banter between the two. This book made me laugh and smile all through it, I could barely put it down. All in all this is one of the best Fool's Gold books yet. I completely recommend picking it up for a nice day of reading.

Great addition to the series. Ford Hendrix is finally home in Fools Gold and Isabel who promised to love him forever is also back in town. Only problem, Ford claims he doesn't know how to love. Fans of the series will definitely love this one. Full of great secondary characters that I'm sure will get their own book soon!

If you are a fan of the Fools Gold Series, this installment won't disappoint. Both Ford and Kent Hendrix find some much needed romance. Their lovely ladies are both endearing as is their mother Denise Hendrix who can't wait for them to fall in love, marry and have children. Their stories made me laugh and cry and, as always, left me looking forward to the next Fools Gold book out this Fall.

This the the story we've been waiting For! Ford Hendrix and Isabel Beebe. Love their story; couldn't put it down. Susan Mallery has such great talent in her writing. I really enjoyed meeting the new characters that are introduced and will continue to look forward to all future Fools Gold books! Keep it going Susan Mallery!

I really enjoyed reading about Ford and Isabel. We finally find out Ford's history and how he depended on Isabel's letters to get him through the horrors of war. As a bonus, Ford's brother Kent meets and falls in love with Consuelos. Susan Mallery does a wonderful job adding in updates on characters from the previous books. I can't wait for the next Fool's Gold book!

Three little words was another awesome read by Susan Mallery. This book pulled me in from the start, I couldn't put it down! I loved the story of Isabel and Ford. It was such a good, wholesome love story that you wanted to work out from the beginning. It shows how the power of one person caring for another can mean so much. I also loved the side story of Kent and Consuela. It was a nice to see another Hendrix brother be happy! It is a great read and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I love that Isabelle has held on to that love for Ford all those years. I also love that Ford gave his heart to her with all the letters she wrote him over the years and kept him grounded. It was great that he kept all the letters even after he got back. This whole series has made me come back for more and couldn't wait for the next one.

Susan Malley once again gives her readers great character development and pure joy from beginning to end.

I love Susan Mallery's series Fools Gold. This is the next best title in the series. I loved Isabel's letters to Ford. It is nice to see that a macho man can be brought to a stop by the right female. Ford and Isabel's story was so much fun to read. From Isabel getting over her aversion to seeing Ford, to the 2 of them realizing they were meant to be, it was non stop fun. I also really enjoyed the secondary story line between Kent and Consuelo but I thought it could have been developed a little more. Their story may have been better off as a stand alone novel or even a novella. Overall I very much enjoyed this book and it was a wonderful addition to the Fool's Gold collection. Now if only I could actually find such a cool place to live, I'd be set!

I have to say I've loved all of Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold books. Three Little Words, her latest, did not disappoint. Isabel Beebe and Ford Hendrix have loved each other for a long time, but neither wanted to admit it (to each other or themselves). The book describes their struggle to come together and acknowlege that love, which they do in a kind of circuitous route by pretending to have a relationship, which of course, then becomes very real. An added bonus is the development of love for Kent, Ford's brother. I know all Mallery's books are going to be "happily ever afters", but I still get caught up in how her characters get there!

I have been a Fool's Gold fan from the beginning. I never miss a book and I have yet to be let down. Susan Mallery has done it yet again, by producing another #1 best seller in my eyes! Ford and Isabel are two different yet similarly solid characters. The connection between the two is an easy fit with funny banter in between. This novel involves many other Fool's Gold favorites so you can't go wrong. Well, you can, but only if you don't purchase it that is. So what are you waiting for...quit reading this and go buy the book. You won't regret it. Promise guaranteed!

You've met Ford's siblings in previous Fool's Gold books, but you've never got Ford's story till now. Part of Cerberus Defense Sector (CDS) Ford has come home to Fool's Gold and to Isabel, who wrote him letters while he was a SEAL. As Isabel helps Ford, they learn to love each other. Include Kent and Consuelo's new budding relationship and you have another amazing Fool's Gold story.

Three Little Words felt like two books in one to me (Not only did we finally get Ford's story, but Kent's as well!) I love how Isabel wrote to Ford as if he were the keeper of her secrets while he was off at war. The dynamic between these two always felt like a give and take, and really showed that love can come no matter the time, distance, or growing up in between!

This is the third book in a trilogy (though it technically is book 12 in Fool's Gold series books 10, 11, 12 can be read as a trilogy). This has been my favorite part of the overall Fool's Gold series. I really like this set of characters. While my favorite couple was the focus of the previous book they are still very much a part of this book. I also really liked the couple, Isabel & Ford, that this book focused on. Plus there's a subplot focused on characters that I really enjoyed too. Most of these characters are so relate-able. Sometimes it's hard to find a character you relate to in books these days. I want to live in this town.

Three Little Words follows in the footsteps of the other Fool's Gold books, as a fun, funny, romantic read. You can't help but love the characters, and discover who helps them discover the love they deserve. I love how the characters visit from prior books, and look forward to the next books. My favorite line was about Ford's Top Tens. He said you should have a Top Ten memory every day. Thanks again, Susan Mallery, for writing another good book!

.... for the price of one. As I read about Ford and Isabel' s on- going, fourteen year love story as well as Consuelo and Kent's ' 'nouveau amour', I realized that this was as the deal of the century. Well-developed characters and a plot that entwined the foursome and past Fool's Gold love struck residents so well that the story flowed easily onto the pages. It was like going home for a long overdue vacation and catching up with old friends and their lives. Loved it and would recommend it to all and I am waiting to read about Taryn and Angel' s triste.

"Have you ever wanted something this much, only to lose it?" Isabel asks Ford and Ford never ever wanted anything that much until he walked away from Isabel. Isabel and Ford had it all figured out until love messed up their plans. I was also surprised and delighted by Consuelo and Kent's story. Nice bonus! Now, I'm on the hook waiting for Taryn and Angel... or maybe Noelle's story and what about those hunky ex-football players! There are always new friends to meet and something exciting going on in Fools Gold!Three Little Words

I love Susan Mallery's books, especially the Fool's edition series. I really did enjoy "Three Little Words" I really liked Ford and identified with Isabel. The characters are easy to fall in love with. All though "Three Little Words" was not my absolute favorite in the series nor the most robust, it did a nice job in completing the summer series and gave a happy ending for our girls Patience, Felicia and Isabel and gave us three great guys to fall in love with this summer. The relationship between Ford and Isabel was romantic, realistic and relate-able. If you like love stories and reading about real relationships you will enjoy this book.

This latest Fool's Gold book gives us the story of Ford and Isabel, a retired Navy Seal and the woman who'd crushed on him as a 14-year-old. What a fun way to start a story with the letters from Isabel to Ford. It was a great span of Isabel's life and love and they were referred to often in the story and played such an important part in Ford's life. This was a good book. I probably would have rated it great with five stars except for one thing that really took me out of it. At some point near the beginning the hero hits someone and sends him to the hospital with a concussion. Now this man did something bad and feels regretful about it and wants the hero to hit him. The thing is that the hero then calls 911 and asks for an ambulance to come so he knows he's going to hit him that hard. Once that happened, I just felt it was hard to relate to the hero after that and it just really made me lose interest int he book. The writing is great, and you like the characters other than that. If you can get past that, then you will probably enjoy it. Solid contemporary romance otherwise.

I loved this book as I have loved all of Susan Mallery's Fools Gold series books. Those three little words are words we women love to hear from our man, so why was it so hard for Ford to say those words to Isabel? Just because her sister dumped him when he was younger, didn't mean he had to go off and live a dangerous life with the Navy. Get over it! Isabel had a crush on Ford way back when she was a teenager and never stopped loving him after she grew up. Follow Ford and Isabel's story in Three Little Words and you will fall in love with your "dream guy" too.
