A Kiss in the Snow (Kindle Single) (Fool's Gold)

Susan Mallery is a great author and her stories never dissapoint me. I always look forward to a new book. I love that you can read as a stand alone book or as the series. I look forward to more happenings in Fools Gold.

I love Susan Mallery's writing and I love Fool's Gold...but this one missed the mark. It seemed rushed, under developed and not believable. A guy that leaves a girl 3 times, the last time at the alter isn't really a candidate for that same girls hero and husband.....the heroine came across as wimpy and not believable. Wish this one was a better sample of SM's writing.

I have read all the fools gold books & have truly enjoyed them. This book is disappointing, there is no plot or story. I have spent a great deal of money over the years for her books. & feel betrayed. It is very evident that she put little to no effort into this book.

This story had so much unrealized potential. The backstory was only hinted at and never fleshed out. Even a novella should be well-rounded. This story just hinted at of what it should have been. I never warmed up to Shep and I thought Nancee was an idiot. Even Gladys was a mere shadow of her usual outrageous self. There were just too many details left out of this. I feel like Susan just phoned this one in. I'm glad I only checked it out from my local public library.

I stayed up late to read "A Kiss In The Snow" all the way through, crying and laughing, and loving it so much along the way.. It's perfect. What a powerful, touching love story. Love the "happy ever after" and hope it brings. Loved getting to reconnect with several of "the girls" from Fool's Gold. Susan has definitely done it again. So looking forward to her new series Happily, Inc. coming out next year..

Welcome to Fool's Gold, where the people are warm, and love is always in the air. Shep left Nancee three times, and one of them, they were at the altar. Can Nancee trust that he will stay this time? This was a lovely short Christmas story.

Loved it! Just wish it had continued. I really hate to see the Fool's Gold series to end. As always, the novella was full of family, friends, laughter and, of course, love. The fourth time must have been the charm for Nancee, or was it the town? Then again Gladys was involved to help her great niece.

This series is usually fantastic ! But, not this one. The short story doesn't allow for much character evolution. And it felt very jerky.
I love the fools gold series in general, and almost always hate the short stories.

I have read almost all the Fools Gold books and although this was shorter than the others it was still a great story. I loved seeing the main characters find their love return after their past together and I loved seeing Gladys in her matchmaking ways. This story to me will give her more depth when I reread other Fools Gold books.

I love The Fools Gold Series.... Nancee is staying with her Aunt Gladys and runs into Shep..her ex boyfriend who has left her 3 times..sparks reunite but will she allow herself to try again...Life changes and love finds it's way back for Nancee and Shep!!
