This is a brilliant book that contains all nineteen books written by James Allen. Allen is the master that hasn't really been recognised for his outstanding writing. This book is an all round guide to how you should run your life. It will help people of all ages but would be paticularly instuctive for young people. If you are going to buy a "self help' book, buy this one...it is outstanding

I cannot believe they have such a wonderful collection for sooooo cheap. Highest quality reprint I have ever seen of James Allen. It is missing a few of his books so not quite the complete collection but very close and def. Read for the seeker of truth. Best book I own besides the Bible

Rock solid program, well written, The perfect follow up to "as a man thinketh" which is included. If you enjoy power thinkers, and aren't big on the "way out there" programs and prefer logic based guides this is your book.

I enjoy reading this book every night. It is amazing how many good lessons this book contains. If you are a skeptic about this book, I dare you to read it and not be convinced about the steps you should follow in life. Anyone that has read this book would recommend it to everybody that enjoys reading or wants to get in to reading.

Mind is the master is an incredible read, so far. I really just purchased it for the short book "as a man thinketh" This is a book that I will read over and over in small doses. Great for contemplation.

The books are awesome, yes, but this printing is like too much mass to carry, i dont read any more.... I loved reading "as a man thinketh" on beaches and wow.. but why a book 50 page is stuck in a 2 kg book... Not very useful. Thanks for the efforts though.

I was disappointed, because I had ask you to send it to someone in prison, and you sent it to my home. I can't send it to prison it has to come from you. I used my Discover rewards and it's going to cost me money to send the book back so I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

As another reviewer has stated, this book is truly a treasury, in every sense of the word. I have only just purchased and started reading this book, but I feel compelled to write this review even without finishing it because I can already say it is a gem and a crown jewel which should be read by everyone. Having gone through personal strife himself, and since then pursued all throughout his life that path of deep understanding and knowledge, I can honestly say that James Allen has truly achieved something special here. A deeply profound and inspiring read; every word, every sentence holds immense weight and thought-provoking ideas. It will change your life, and your outlook on life and all its various thorny issues, forever. This book tackles every aspect of life that may be worrying you, written in James Allen's very inspiring flowing way, it gives hope to the down-trodden and faith to those who are seeking a deeper meaning to their lives and what purpose they serve in the world and in relation to each other. If you are of the faithful kind, it will deepen your faith. I may add to this review in the upcoming months as I read more. But one thing I can say for sure is that you MUST purchase this inspiring book, read and digest it, read it everyday, read it to your family, your friends, your children, your co-workers.....everyone should read this book!

this is a library of all of James Allen writings, and he wrote a lot! this is a phenomenal spiritual book, every line reads like poetry and its simply amazing that one man wrote all this amazing work. everything in it is spiritually true and profound. that being said, its like a thousand pages, long pages and its simply too much to read! it will honestly take years to read this book, but I like to finish a book within a couple of weeks of starting it! its soooo sooooo good, but simply too much content. I guess I may keep the book to read bits and pieces, but my advice to you is: there so much content that you should not plan to reading it cover to cover and don't expect to finish it soon after receiving it. simply embrace the profound passages you read from it, and read as often as you like. its worth the purchase and you will be satisfied with what you do read from it. but once again, its the whole library of James Allen and how fast have you ever read through a small library?!

Here is another book that should be on the reading list of all high school students. This book is so foundational and crucial for establishing true prosperity. It is not really a hard book to read it is just long. I took last summer and read it a little every day and completed it in about two months. In this volume of writings is his most famous book, As a Man Thinkith which I read twice every year. And his other book that I found completely absorbing; From Poverty to Power.
If you want to renew your mind and begin thinking with a heightened knowledge this is a must read book.

This compilation of works is a great gift to humanity and should be read by all who seek truth. Although frequently classified as a motivational or prosperity author, his works transcend these limitations by pointing us toward our divine destiny as universal citizens striving toward our intellectual, ethical and spiritual ideal. Rising daily, before dawn, climbing a hill near his home in Ilfracombe, England, to meditate for hours, then returning to his desk to write with the pure aim of assisting in the illumination of the human consciousness and for overcoming our own self-imposed sufferings; he is poetic, profound, poignant and powerful.

Although more than a century has passed since his writings and some of his language reflects the syntax of his time, it is remarkably accessible for the seekers of truth. This large compilation of works is to be kept, studied and referenced often, for the acquisition and refinement of our intrinsic mental powers.

Deep gratitude is expressed to the publisher for this compilation of all his works, purely distilled, including those that have been out of print for some time. If this voluminous collection is too large and intimidating for the newcomer to Mr. Allen's work, please consider beginning with the smaller two book compilation from the same publisher; `As A Man Thinketh' & `From Poverty To Power'.As A Man Thinketh

I do not wish to disparage any work as all must have and serve their purpose. However, as 'The Secret' has referenced the works of Mr. Allen, I would humbly suggest that it is a distortion of the Truth that he has labored to provide to us. I would further suggest that Mr. Allen would not approve of the materialistic message that it puts forth. Nonetheless, 'The Secret' is acknowledged for utilizing our greedy western impulses to begin to light the small candles of understanding in our hearts and start us out on the path of comprehending our own divine nature.

Let me start out by echoing the other reviewers by saying that this is an amazing read. Turning randomly to any page will provide some sort of insight on work, productivity, values, character, etc.. Wonderful stuff.

While the content is inspiring, one major drawback to this tome on the whole is that the publisher neglected to include an index-- hence the 4 stars. The book is rather thick, and would be much more useful for personal study had all this content come with an index. I can turn to most books 1/6th of the size and find an index.

Yes, I suppose I could always make a personal index, but still, to not include an index is very disappointing. To me it's laziness on the part of the publisher.

This is one book worth reading and studying. This is simply said one of the best personal development books I have ever read. James Allen's work is one of the most valuable contributions to man kind. I am grateful for his complete work in one book. If this is the only book you ever read it would be your best choice. Of all the great works written by man - in my view he is King.

James Allen has indeed written masterful works that point directly to the truth. There is still work for the reader, however the trail has been blazed. Simply stay the course and you too shall arrive at heavens gates. #IAM

There is considerable wisdom in the book but too much repetition. I realize most of his postulations are perhaps timeless but his optimism for people to overcome the evil in themselves and the world is easy to say. And on top of that, he purposed that you must love those who have done unspeakable horrors to their fellow humans. More people were killed in the past century than in the history of mankind. If James Allen would have been at the mercy of the torture, disease, starvation, and poverty, he would have a different view of loving your torturers.
Despite his good words, his innocence in failing to recognize the reality of the world may have been due to living a short life.
I give it 3 stars because I did gain some wisdom from the book. .

I read the book (that is in this compilation) entitled, "As A Man Thinketh", many times. That was in my twenties. And at the time, I believed every word. As a result, I applied all the principals I learned in this book to my life. And in spite of the fact that I have always been a person who has a great deal of faith and a positive attitude, I still had many problems in life. Just as we all have problems in life. The problem with this book is that it tries to convince the reader that all of their problems are THEIR fault. That THEY are in control of God, not the other way around. The only thing this book has in common with the bible is the title. "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Those words are from the bible. However, there are hundreds of scriptures and stories that prove that God is in control of us. Jesus did not want to suffer. The gospels say that He feared suffering (not death) so much that He sweat drops of blood. Jesus prayed, "Father, let this cup pass from Me. Never the less, let Your will be done, not Mine." That is how God wants you to pray. Not to picture what you want to come true, and then blame yourself if it doesn't.
