This was the first book by Christine Feehan I have ever read and I bought it solely based on the reviews. It was barely an ok book and my biggest gripe with it was the 'french' that made me cringe every time it came up. It's not even 'France-french' as one reviewer put it-I speak France french having been born in a french-speaking country with french as my second language. Nobody I know-French or French speaking-uses the phrases Gator uses. The curses were ridiculous and the supposed endearments just made me want to cover my face. Did the author even get a native French speaker, or even a real cajun person to proof-read this? I doubt it. Who on earth addresses their significant other as 'vous'? In French that is the formal way you address strangers not someone you just had a romantic moment with. That is just basic French 101 and that was one of the minor language errors. The others are so glaring I don't know where to begin. If this is the level of the research Ms. Feehan does for her books, I will not be reading any of her other offerings. Which is a pity because the book had a good premise.

Thrilling story of danger, edge of your seat suspense and unrelenting love.   Gator and Flame are so much alike and so different, so driven and passionate.  Love the charactors and the story.

Awesome. Would highly recommend. Gator's story is my favorite of the series so far. The Ghostwalker series takes you into the world of high level military ops while whipping up an intense love affair as well.
Bound Together (A Sea Haven Novel) :: Shadow Keeper (A Shadow Riders Novel) :: Samurai Game (A GhostWalker Novel) :: A Carpathian Novel (Carpathian Novels) - Dark Challenge :: Dark Legend (Dark Series)

All of Christine Feehan's books are quite detailed but I would certainly rather that my 3 Daughters's, 1 Son. And now 7Grand Daughters and 3 Grand Sons, and now a little 3yr old Great Gran. My curious Teens and pre- and then Post Teens all try to Tip-Toe around the house on Sleepover's . ALL of them will get truthful information from her books. They are fast paced, fun to read, and leave everyone young and old searching for dictionaries and encyclopedia's. I really do appreciate her consistent portrayal or women with respect, often enlightening both sexes to the importance of talking too and learning from each other. Often Demanding in her portrayal's just how critical it is to first form a deep friendship, which only serves to enhance and strengthen the bonds of Love.

This is by far the best of the GhostWalker series. Christine Feehan is a wonderful storyteller and she continues to grow in her writing ability. The characters are appealing, the story unfolds nicely with a good balance of action and romance, and it contains all of the elements that make for an engrossing read. We'd all like to play some Night Games with someone like Gator Fontenot. Two thumbs up on this one!

If you’re reading the books in order like I am then Gator was one of the ones you’ve been very excited about. The Cajun smooth-talker finally gets his book.

Gator has to be one of my favorite Ghostwalkers but his book did run a little long and with them finding out the same information separately, it was just a tad bit more repetitive than usual. Because of that, I gave it four stars instead of five.

I don’t know how many times I’ve read this book but I just noticed a typo a little more than halfway through the book. Maybe it’s because I was actually looking for typos? I mean, it’s what I’ve been doing since I started my blog and reviewing books.

It’s still difficult for me to properly review these books but I think I’m getting the hang of it. I’m trying to look at them like it’s the first time I’m reading them but, I still know I’m going to love them.

Usually, a side story like Joy’s would be overwhelming but, with how long the book was, it kept it from getting boring, especially with Wyatt and Ian. This is one of the few authors that can really write good side characters that help the story move along instead of being overwhelming and taking over or being completely forgettable.

It helps keep the readers interested and excited for their books, although the next book is about Jack Norton and we won’t get back to the Army Ghostwalkers for a good bit.

The ending almost wasn’t a happy one and that was a big risk that could have ruined the book but, it was emotional and making me tear up while keeping me turning the pages to get that happy ending.

Dr. Peter Whitney is a bad, bad man. We already knew he was an evil genius when the series began. After all, he was the mastermind behind the Ghostwalker project. He devised the experiment where select military men volunteered for psychic enhancement. Even worse, he experimented on young orphan girls with a predisposition for psychic gifts. But we could see him through the color of love his daughter Lily had for him. Plus, he seemed to have paid for his sins with his death. Only, his sins were worse than we knew. And he's not really dead.

Flame was one of the young orphans Whitney experimented on. But in addition to psychic manipulation, he made her genetically advanced. And gave her cancer. Then cured it; and repeated the process. She didn't escape him until she was 19. Now Lily is trying to find all the women who were part of that experiment as children. She gets a lead on Flame and sends a Ghostwalker named Gator to find her.

Flame is hiding out in the Louisiana bayous, Gator's home turf. He was going home anyway to investigate the disappearance of a local girl, Joy. It takes about a month for him to track down Flame. It turns out, they have the same powers: they can influence animals and manipulate sound. Of course, there is a major attraction. But Flame doesn't trust Gator and his easy charm. In fact, she trusts no one. Flame is very smart. She is the only person who realizes A) Whitney is still alive and B) He somehow genetically manipulated the men of the Ghostwalker program to match up with the women from his older experiments. Each half would compliment the other and let's not get started on the uber-babies they could make.

Most of the book, beyond the big Whitney revelations, focuses on the search for Joy; the questions about who can be trusted; and the developing relationship between Gator and Flame. It takes them longer to hook up than we have to wait in most Feehan books. And for me, they weren't quite as hot as some of the others. It felt like Whitney being alive is revisionist history; It seems the two sides of the man Lily could see in the beginning of the series didn't even exist. He was just a monster.

This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but the ongoing story developments make it one you shouldn't skip. In my opinion, the series really hits its stride with the next installment. 3 1/2 stars.

I read this year's ago, and due to tornadoes lost my book collection. I am trying to renew my favorite collections on my kindle so that won't happen again. I remember I loved this and the action . Unfortunately it's nearly 10$ to purchase kindle version and under 5 for the actual book. Yet the first book in this series is only 2.99$. I don't understand such differences in prices especially for an older book

This was the first Christine Feehan book I have ever read. I wasn't disappointed.

This is one of a series of books in the Ghostwalker series. You can read this book out of order because it was a great stand-alone story on its own.

This story centers around Gator, one of a group of enhanced soldiers called The Ghostwalkers. The Ghostwalkers can communicate telepathically and each has a different power. Gator's power is the ability to use sound to either communicate, or to kill.

Gator is sent to find Flame, a genetically enhanced female enhanced from childhood on by the evil mastermind who created special abilities in several female children, keeping them in cages like lab rats. He also infected Flame with cancer then put her into remission (no worries - this isn't a spoiler, it's told in the beginning of the book). The power she has is also the ability to use sound. Flame is no fading violet. I really liked her strong character.

Gator does find Flame. They embark together on a journey against unspeakable evil. To say more would destroy the suspense.

The only negative for me, it might not be a negative to you, is that her intimate scenes were long and extremely intense - one spanned three chapters. There was another one near the end of the book that I paged past because it went on and on and on.

I borrowed this book from the library and am strongly considering buying a copy as a keeper for my own bookshelf.

I didn't like the second book in this series. For some reason I couldn't connect with Nicholas and Dahlia. I was not looking forward to this one, mainly because the author had me thinking that Gator was a second string kind of player in the GhostWalker series. She seriously never hinted at him being as powerful as he is. If she hadn't made me like him so much then I would have been really angry. I liked this book. I actually liked it, I think, better than the first two. I like that we actually get surprised in this book. There are things that happen in this book that threw me off balance. Coming at this point in the series, that was refreshing. Ms. Feehan's willingness to keep us off balance with the thought that Peter Whitney isn't dead and that there might be someone giving him information is pure genius.

The chemistry between Gator and Flame is hot hot hot. She is just the right combination of vulnerability and strength that she kind of makes you love her right away. She fights the attraction a little too long in my opinion, but maybe this added something to the final product. Maybe it made it a little more meaningful when the sex finally happened. You know at that point that the characters are committed to each other. I very seriously recommend that you read this book. It really is good stuff.

The format of these new "easy reading" books, bugs the crap out of me. They are no easier to read than any other. They aren't doing you, the reader; any favors so don't be fooled. I have to think that this is a shameless ploy to extract just a little more of your hard earned money. They KNOW that this is a popular author and they KNOW that you will buy what she writes. Think what you will. I am just glad that I work for a bookstore and don't have to purchase amazing books in order to read them.

I was looking forward to this one, being the third in the Series

of Ghost Walkers and I was not disappointed at all. I bought the

book and read it in one sitting.I couldn't put it down! It not

only open your eyes more to who and what the Ghost Walkers are

but brought into it a new level of why they are what they are and

why its so damn important to find the girls the doctor had

worked on before.

Anyone who has read any of Christine Feehan's

book might find this one either

A- not enough hot sex in like her Carpathian stories

B- love it because of how it open your eyes.

About the real reasons why Dr. Lily Whitney-Miller is looking

for the girls that were so mistreated before the Ghost Walkers

gave about.

I can't wait for the next one in this series to come out about

the Ghost Walkers or even the Vampires series because no matter

what, you pick up her book(s) you better have time to read them

at one sitting or don't start reading! Her books suck you in and

take you away to a world that could be right next door to you

and you would never know.

In fact this series works closer together than her others do so

its better to read the first one:

Shadow Game then

Mind Game

before you start of Night Game only because you really will enjoy

it more if you know who and how the Ghost Walkers came about. You

love all the characters and its just easier to know who is who.

Most of Christine Feehan books are stand alone books and you

really don't need to know who all the characters are but this

series is a little different. So go ahead and get Pick up Night

Game but read Shadow Game first and get started to lost in the

minds, world and pain of the Ghost Walkers.

A must read for all Christine Feehan Fans!

I read Mind Game and looked forward to this one in the series and am happy to say it is even better!! Lily Whitney "daughter" of Dr. Peter Whitney and married to Captain Ryland Miller has been going through her recently deceased father's computers and papers to find more of the young female orphans now grown that Dr. Whitney experimented with performing psychic and physical enhancements of all kinds. In Mind Game the "Ghostwalkers" -- a group of Special Forces men also enhanced by Whiney -- found Dahlia who has special psychic powers.

Now two things are happening simultaneously, Raoul "Gator" Fontenot, a Ghostwalker, has been asked by his grandmother to find a young woman, Joy, who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances so he is going to New Orleans. Lily asks Gator to also look for Iris "Flame" Johnson while he is there as she believes that Flame is in the area and may be having a recurrence of the cancer that Dr. Whitney planted/cured/planted/cured... Raoul is uniquely qualified to find Flame as he has the same type of psychic and physical enhancements involving sound.

As Gator and Flame meet up and learn to work together, they are being pursued by various assassins and it also seems that it is possible that Lily Whitney's "father", Dr. Whitney, may not be dead!! The intrigue and mysteries and subplots are well detailed and so is Gator's family and the wonderful feeling of warmth from them. The sexual chemistry and romance between Gator and Flame is also well done but might be too graphic for some people.

A hard-to-put-down novel and can't wait for the next installment!

This is one of those books that stay with you long after the last line has been read. The plot and especially the characters, "Gator" from the Louisiana Bayou and "Flame", a wanderer, gets under your skin. This book is more than its eroticism. It is a Northern Star that guides the heart to a better place. Feehan is a master story teller that brings newness to every book of a series. After the last line is read....there is more.

This time it's personal. Raoul "Gator" Fontenot of the special-forces GhostWalker squad heads back to the Louisianna bayous where he was raised to find a missing woman with a psychic voice talent similar to his own. He's warned, though, that another woman may also be searching. Iris "Flame" Johnson escaped from the madman's program that enhanced her, Raoul, and the others--at the cost of making them experimental animals in his program. Iris has been on the run ever since, and is both in danger and a danger to the GhostWalker squad. If Raoul can bring her back, he'll be doing everyone a favor. The one small problem--Iris would rathre die than return to Whitney's control--and she, unlike the others, is convinced that Whitney is still alive and still very much in control of the GhostWalkers.

It doesn't take Raoul long to track Iris down--both her flaming tattoo and her psychic abilities give her away. He's drawn to her immediately. The two seem to share a connection that goes deeper than physical attraction, deeper, indeed, than the psychic bond that exists between all of the GhostWalkers. Still, Iris knows that she can never trust him. Voluntarily or not, he's still working for Whitney, the man who deliberately infected her with cancer for his own perverse purposes. They do, however, share a common goal--finding what happened to Joy, the missing woman.

With their psychic powers, handling local troublemakers is no problem. But it gradually becomes apparent that they are facing enemies far more deadly than cajun bad-boys.

Author Christine Feehan dishes up a spicy mix of action, paranormal magic, and steamy sex in NIGHT GAMES. After a somewhat talky first chapter, Feehan keeps the action coming. The attraction between Raoul and Iris grows very quickly, but the paranormal connection and their shared experiences at the hands of the evil Whitney help justify such a rapid escalation of the relationship.

If you're looking for a sexy paranormal thriller, you won't go wrong with NIGHT GAME.

I've enjoyed this series very much and in this one, getting to know one of the other characters. The horror of what was done to some of them comes across clearly and makes you cringe because it's possible to believe a project like this was secretly funded by our government. I hope not, but historically, our government has done studies on some of our soldiers that defy principles. Maybe that's why these books have a ring of truth to them even though they are extreme. The love story is nice and ends as you'd hope after some very difficult trials. A good read.

I love Feehans's work and this is one of my top 20 from her. I have read every series and book she has written. The story of Gator and Flame is one of the top of the Ghostwalkers series. Gator is perfect in my eyes and he loves Flame. Flame is a rough chick with a huge heart. I laughed and cried though out this book and it was worth it!!

Thought it was Jess Calhoun, but after reading Night Game--it is Gater or (Raoul) hands down! I absolutely love Flame as well! The cajun charm--was so enjoyable...and gater was nothing if he wasn't charming, and protective and very clever!

I felt so bad for Flame, here life had been rough--but there were times during the reading that I felt she could have taken some precautions against being hurt--bruised and torn up. The fact that she had cancer and it was out of remission should have made her less willing to endure pain--should have made her more cautious--but this is fiction,, after all!

I simple loved the fact that Gater kept getting excited over the knieves Flame carried, and Flame kept referring to him as a Perv! LOL!

Finally! We finally get to Gator's story - my personal favorite in the DreamWalkers series (#3). Charming, sexy, and easy-going, as is usual for a N'awlins Cajun, Gator returns to his hometown to help his family friends search for a missing girl - but he is also on a mission from Lily: find Flame. Sparks fly when Gator & Flame meet - putting it mildly. Neither is the type to easily trust, yet their surroundings and circumstances force them to work together. Both know that the end will be near - for both of them - if they don't find they answers they need quickly. I have been enjoying this romantic suspense/paranormal series - I like the humor along with the psychic possibilities.

I really enjoyed this book, not only for it's content, but the print was larger and so was the book. It was easier to handle and for those of us over 50 the print has been getting smaller and smaller.

Flame is one of the girls enhanced by Peter Whitney. She is a match for Gator. It seems Whitney may or may not be dead and, he may have planned for the two groups to meet and mate. Anything is possible for this weird evil genius.

Not only do we have these two people meeting, we have several sub plots going on. This adds considerably to the smoothness and interest in the story. I was unable to put it down.

I really liked the inclusion of others. Some of the first books in this series are good, but you feel each person is not a team player. In this book, they were, and it added so much more to the story.

Raoul "Gator" Fontenot is the charming, Cajun bad boy of the Ghostwalker team. There doesn't seem to be a female alive who doesn't succumb to his laid back, arrogant personality. Before he leaves to help out his family in New Orleans, Lily comes to him privately. She thinks another girl she was with as a child, Iris "Flame" Johnson, will be in the New Orleans area, and wants Gator to bring her back. Gator suspects Lily isn't telling him something important, but manages to wheedle it out of her. Gator agrees to look for Flame, even though his trust in Lily is starting to wane a bit. She has the same thirst for knowledge her father did, and it can be frightening.

After meeting and talking to Flame, Gator's distrust of Lily deepens. Flame has a strong, determined, independent, in-your-face mindset. She had to be to survive the horrific life Peter Whitney forged for her. She likes to play devil's advocate and opens Gator's eyes to other possibilities. Her intelligence can nearly rival Lily's. Her theories amplify Lily and Dahlia's earlier suspicions, and threaten the foundation of all their relationships, including what she and Gator feel for each other. Despite what she thinks, they can't ignore the powerful attraction they have. The sex between those two is full of kinky sex toys and interesting positions. LOL

Some may like Flame's character, but I wasn't too fond of her. I liked the fact that she has enough brains to think differently and present other unexplored prospects to everyone. I found her personality so strong, it was overpowering. Half the time I rolled my eyes at what she said and did, or I felt like going into the book to give her a good smack. ^^;;; Nevertheless, the series would be boring if there wasn't a character like her in it. Flame showcases how well Christine Feehan can write with numerous characters.

It looks as if Christine Feehan researched DNA manipulation and genetics heavily. I had to read the first chapter a few times to fully comprehend what Lily was trying to explain. This third installment is full of unexpected twists and surprises. It definitely takes the Ghostwalkers series into a new direction and makes everyone question what's really true.

I love Feehan's work and think the Game series of books are her best works, and I am a Carpathian nut, so this is saying a lot.

Reading a book by Feehan is like putting on my favorite fuzzy robe, I just know I am going to feel better curling up in it and I know it is going to be good. I also find myself enjoying reading other authors Feehan recommends. I trust Feehan, and her opinions and stories have clout with me. She is consistently good in my book.

And Night Game hits a home run in the Game Series. I felt like I was in the bayou. The characters were strong and the story moved with a lot of action, and it was very multifaceted. My heart was wrapped up with Gator and Flame and ached with them (my jaw dropped with the coco scene and my heart ached, I couldn't believe it). The sex scenes were a la Feehan HOT, man can she write 'em. And what I love about the Game books most is that both leads are strong, smart characters, that complement each other. Even though they may have emotional issues, they are very intelligent and possess extraordinary gifts.

This is a MUST read. As is the series. It has it all.

I have been a fan of Christine Feehan's work since Dark Prince, with the notable exception of Ocean of Fire. I am pleased to say that this book is a strong addition to the GhostWalker series. I found some of the dialogue and interaction in the first chapter to be forced, but beginning with Chapter Two the book really hit its stride. Iris ("Flame") is a strong female character who is not waiting around for anyone to save her. She has led a life filled with betrayal and pain and is cautious who she opens herself to. Too often it seems that characters' misgivings and problems are cast aside and the reader is meant to believe they share an immediate love. Feehan avoided that trap and worked hard to build the relationship between Iris and her male counterpart Raoul ("Gator"). It made the story much more enjoyable and realistic (as realistic as a paranormal story about two enhanced people can be). While there were sex scenes in the book, they never overwhelmed the plot. Secondary characters added to the storyline and you cared about them, but they did not detract too much attention from the main characters.

I did not rate this story a five because of problems with first chapter and the repetition regarding Iris' lack of trust. I think all readers understood that she did not like Peter Whitney or anything/anyone he was involved with and after a time it became unnecessary to have Iris say it once again.

I loved this book. I loved it for a lot of reasons. But, one of my main reasons for loving this book is for the heroine, Flame.

Although this book will certainly appeal to romance readers because the chemistry between Flame and Gator is so H-O-T!... although this book will appeal to action/adventure readers as well as sci fi lovers due to the paranormal elements...what I think this book really has going for it is the strength of the heroine.

We all have tradegy hit us and are expected to go about our daily routine, go to work, smile at the custormer, whatever...but it is at those times that we really see our true selves. In this book, Flame is seriously ill. You know soon into it that she realizes she will die. Her life is lonely. There's pain. But, at no point does she feel sorry for herself. She wants to make her last days count for something. She spends her time helping others. Fighting the good fight so to speak.

Then along comes Gator. Handsome, funny, sexy and everything any woman would want. He thinks he can save her. She doesn't want to be saved. When they team up to stop some really bad guys they find they have a lot in common. They both have supernatural powers. They both have a lonely life. And they both have a will of iron.

This romance is electric! If you want something so exciting that it will keep you up till 3AM reading...this is the book for you!

I have enjoyed each and every one of Christine Feehan's Ghost Walker series. This book wasn't any exception. I loved the character Raoul. He definitely stood out as an alpha male. Flame was tough, independent and sometimes a little annoying. I like it when a book makes the characters work at a relationship. The ending was exactly as I would have expected Raoul to behave. I already have the next two in the series and always look forward to sitting down and being entertained by the Ghost Walkers.

I have to agree with the others in saying that this 3rd installment of the GhostWalker series is the best! I love Christine Feehan, but I hate to say that I'm a little disappointed in her most recent Carpathians. Thank goodness her mediocre books still make most authors efforts seem lacking in some way. She's still an auto buy, but they are defiantly collecting a bit of dust lately by the time I grab them off my TBR shelf. But, low and behold, these GhostWalkers have me panting in anticipation for sequels. The Bayou setting was awesome, in fact now I need to read my latest Sandra Hill, "Red Hot Cajun." (Those are Hot, Hot, Hot and so funny!). I feel like I can't say much as not to give anything away. So, I'll sum it up by saying the villains were numerous and had me on the edge, the GhostWalkers past and future are awesome, the romance was HOT! But what I truly loved was Gator's charm, which never gets boring and Flame's responses..."you are such a freaking perv." They are so funny together! This book really focuses on a true romantic love where they have to learn to do the unthinkable in their world, trust. And later have to over come the worst, a betrayal. Not to mention Flames medical condition. This series is definitely exceeding my expectations. I'm thrilled because I was starting to fear that Feehan might be spreading herself too thin with all of the series' she's trying to keep going, and that I might be losing a favorite. I'd be happy if she put all her efforts into this series for a while and go back to writing Great stories. This is definitely one to read and savor, I promise you!

Both genetically enhanced, Iris "Flame" Johnson and Gator Fontemont met when he rescued her. They are attracted to one another, but Gator has always been a lone ranger so he struggles with his need to be with her and Flame trusts no one. However, he learns she remains in danger from Dr. Peter Whitney, whom Gator thought dead (see SHADOW GAME); he willingly risks his life to keep her safe.

Realizing he is enhanced like her, Flame fears Gator plans to return her to the evil Whitney. She detests the fact that she cannot get him out of her mind as she feels an irresistible attraction to him that she assumes is just one more inbreeding mechanism devised by Whitney. She distrusts her growing love for Gator as much as she expects him to betray her. Together they might defeat their common enemy, but separately they will probably die or worse be re-imprisoned by Whitney that is if he is the cat chasing them.

The latest Ghostwalker Game thriller is a terrific paranormal entry because of the personalities of two loners, both ready to explode (especially the heroine) and neither easily trusting others particularly those who Whitney experimented on. The story line is action-packed never slowing down, but also has the haunting of Katrina as pre-hurricane New Orleans serves as the backdrop. Christine Feehan is on her A-game with her latest paranormal thriller.

The Ghostwalker series the spot of my all time favorite books which was previously held by the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Night Game in particular stands out over other books just like every other Game book. The hero Gater and the heroin Flame are electrifying like only Feehan can create. Both of there abilities are incredible and it only adds to there personnalities and chemistries. Feehan makes sure to do extensive reasurch in everything from locations to weapons and tactical situations before puting anything in writing. This includes hand-to-hand combat, which she is a fourth degree blackbelt and knows several people who are highly trained in spec-ops tactics and situations, firing all kinds of firearms how highly trained spec-ops operaters discharge there weapons and execute precision tactical manuvers in the field. The Ghostwalkers have an incredible advantage over real spe-ops soldiers with there enhancements alowing them to perform fantasy manuvers as well but that just makes it that much more entertaining. I have the Ghostwalker crest tattooed on my chest in honor of my Aunt Chris and the success of the Ghostwalker series. Hoo-yah!

Ms. Feehan's GhostWalker series brings to the forefront the very real possibilities of our government and their doctors engaged in genetic enhancement and melds it with the love stories that she is so adept at. The action is non-stop in NIGHT GAMES and the dialoque is equally fast paced. She has also woven in a heartbreaking thread regarding what those who suffer with cancer go through rounding out this book on many different levels. As someone who has many cancer-survivor friends, there are moments that just tear your heart out. You will cheer Flame's independent streak, suffer with Gator as he makes the difficult decisions to save lives and grin ear to ear as Ms. Feehan's sense of humor shines through Gator's

Grand-mere's antics

NIGHT GAMES is one of Ms. Feehan's best works, which is saying a lot from this New York Best-selling author.

Ms. Feehan has written a great installment in the Ghostwalker series. She has created a fresh story, strong characters, and a very different kind of ending. The hero, Gator, was introduced in the earlier books, but is truly brought to life in this installment. Flame, as her name suggests, is warmth, beauty and danger. The plot pulls the reader in and won't let go until the very end, by which time the reader is a bit dazed from the twisting plot. It's worth the higher price due to the originality and for new details for upcoming stories.

Now this was a book that was worth the money! Gator is one of the sexiest alpha males and Flame his perfect foil.

I loved the sense of family. The sex was HOT and the action kept a bumpy plane ride back to Tampa in the back of my mind. Action from front to back and the feel of New Orleans's swamps was excellently portrayed by Ms. Feehan. I shall seek out more of her books on these Ghostwalkers. What an entertaining read!

This is the first Ghostwalker novel (another super market find,) that I've read but I could not believe how WELL WRITEN and involving it was when I was finished. As I've said recently, Christine Freehan has come into her prime as a writer and I look forward to her future publications.

This story was complex, emotive, steamy, fascinating, and thought provoking. Her depth in character developement has sky-rocketted since her earlier writings and I was greatly impressed with this novel. I not only enjoyed the story cover to cover, but I was literally beside myself with pride for the writers progress as an author.

Out of all the Ghostwalker books published so far this one is by far my favorite. Gator is a fun loving character which is a nice change from the dark, brooding, dominant male who is softened by a loving woman. Flame also has an attitude that matches well with Gator. It was great watching how they interact with each other and eventually come together. Definitely recommend this one.

At the beginning of the story, it was pretty interesting and a bit bland to me, but I wanted to finish reading the book.

It got pretty interesting toward half of the book. The only problem that I have is......well the sex scenes. Well, the reason is that the one scene that Flame loses her virginity, she had sex like how many times? Not regular sex but some kinky sex... Well, Feehan didn't write out those scenes....but implied that they used sex toys.....paddles.....eggs vibration or something like that??? wtf??!! 0-0

I like the story lines for this Ghostwalker series.....but please.....ease off on the sex scenes.....I sometimes skip the sex scenes since they are a bit too much for me.

God, are romance books is suppose to be all about sex? I never read a book that the couple had so much sex before!

But overall, the book was okay...although I do prefer the dark series still...

I love this series and Gator is my favorite so far! I love his relationship with his family and at times the book made me laugh as when Flame was holding a knife to Gator's throat and his brother walked in and said, having a little woman trouble, huh? I very much like the way Feehan develops each person's personalities. I can't wait to read the rest in the series!

I read a little over half and then became fed up. Coming from south, south Louisiana (better known as "Cajun Country") and being the daugther of cajun parents, whose first language is Cajun French, I found the story insulting and completely off base. Did Freehan even bother to visit here and speak to the people? The descriptions of the land, swamp, and wildlife was so far fetch I wanted to laugh at the audacity of her. Then the french phrases and comments Gator made were rediculous. Most of them are what northerners think we say from cheaply made movies, but no one I know bother's to speak that way. Even the curse words she used are not "cajun" french, but France-french. Then the drinking, boats, bar fights, and going to schol and living in the swamp? Please! Have you ever even been to a swamp in Louisiana?

I couldn't even enjoy the book with all problems I found.

BOO!

Christine just gets better with every book she writes. Gator is a very strong character like a modern knight out to slay the dragon and save his fair lady. Flame is a much damaged child and a brave woman. The book is wonderful a great read. The print format is definitly flawed some of the pages fell out because of the larger size and shape of the book. This in no way prevented me from reading a much awaited book. I just hope the publisher works out what is obviously their mistake before her next book is published.

This book continues in the same tradition as the other "Ghostwalker" books and combines romance with suspense. The characters are well developed and once again the author lets the reader really get to know and understand the motivations behind the actions of her characters.

I have to give this whole series a five star rating! When i tried reading the first Ghost Walker book, I was so enthralled with her Dark series and trying to find all the books I had missed, I gave up on this series before I had read past the second chapter! Now I am kicking myself and scrambling to find all the copies!!!

I love Christine Feehan's work. I can just sink into the fantasy and become immersed. This is my favortie book in my favorite series by Feehan. I laughed out loud, I held my breath, I fell in love. I will reread this one over and over. The characters are so real. You get a real feel for the bayou. The bad guys make you so mad. This a thriller/romance. There is a lot of graphic sex. Overall, a fantastic read!

Gater is a wonderful character. He is the kind of man that makes a womans mouth water. Night Game is a book that can be re read and enjoyed each time. This is the best book in the Ghost Walker series. I can't wait for the next one...Each book has gotten better and better. This book almost sets the pages on fire. How could the next one be any hotter.

The mind of Feehan creates the kind of man every woman dreams of. And Gater is almost perfect.

This is a great read with wonderful characters, very vivid setting of the bayou and great images of the other "stuff".

I have been reading the Ghostwalker series and the plots for each book are very interesting. The men and women have psychic abilities and their stories are very captivating. Flame and Gator were a great match because they both were of strong character, loyal, and we were able to see the caring side of Gator when he supported Flame with her illness and stuck with her until the end. The books in this series get better and better because there is character growth and you end up growing familiar with the characters because you feel as if you already know them.

I read Shadow Game and liked it - I thought it could have been better, but I thought it was okay.

Then I read Mind Game and really liked it - I though the story line and characters were much more heartfelt.

After reading Night Game, I'm not sure if I really liked. I mostly gave 4 stars because of Feehan's writing ability. I enjoyed the first 3/4 of the book, probably because of the life that Feehan gave Flame (girl after my own heart) and Gator (okay, but the french was really starting to get to me after awhile).

The book was entertaining, but (and I find this slightly funny) I had a few choice words after Gator took it in his own hands and did what he thought he had to to save Flame. Now looking back on it, I can see how Feehan portrayed it romantically.

However, if I was Flame and Gator did that to me, well, let me put it this way - I'd kick his gonads so hard that he would have two sets of tonsils.

yes i loved the book. CF has again done a good story. my complaint with this book ( and it's not just this book or just CF's books) is that the heroine or hero, whomever is "fighting the feeling", fights, and fights, and fights, and fights and......you get the drift. after more that several pages, several chapters and a third to half of the book, IT JUST GETS OLD!!!! For this reason i gave 4 instead of 5 stars.

I don't want to go into too much about describing the book, as this has been done by numerous readers here. I will say my honest review.

I really like this Ghostwalker book. Great storyline/plot and characters. I was really sorry when the book came to an end. I hope Ms. Feehan will write more of this kind of novels/books. Very enjoyable. Highly recommendable.

Night Game was a great book to read. I can not wait for the next one. I loved reading about the developing relationship between Gator and Flame. I felt that Flame could have been more understanding about the way Lidly felt about being experimented on, but it did add to the spice of the novel. It was really fun reading. You should really enjoy it.

This was a fun read. I finished in less than two days. I hate the new paperwork format and hope that this it not the way all paperbacks are going to be published. I look forward to Christine's next book - "Dark Demon" and hope its as well written and fun.

This book had some promising moments early on. The sequence where Flame steals from the local bad guy and tracks Gater back to his house was the best of the whole book. After that we went round and round with mostly background filler. The explanations of "enhancement" are given in every chapter. Yes, we get how Flame thinks Whitney is still alive and she's never going back. Wait, tell me again. Sorry, couldn't finish the book which is too bad cause I love a good series. I suggest the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R.Ward & early Anita Blake by Laurell Hamilton.

Christine Feehan is an amazing writer, I love the way her story lines overlap characters so that you feel like you know them. This series about real people with extraordinary abilities keeps you hooked until the last page.

I own this wonderful book and I think anyone who enjoys paranormal romance will enjoy this book. The characters are wonderful and well written. I own almost all of Christine Feehan's books and she continues to supply her readers old and new with exciting plots and storylines. 5 Stars...Feehan does it again!

Gator is a wildman in this book. Incredibly matched by Flame who has a fire all her own. Both of them make an incredible match. They're strong characters who make a great pair. No wilting femme fatales here.

It wasn't the best ghostwalker book.. but it was good enough to finish. If you like kinky sex scenes- you will like this one. To me, Christine Feehan's books are either hit or miss. To me this was a miss..

This book has to be the worst thing I have ever read. I stopped after about 100 pages but started reading again....hoping it would get better as it went along. I suffered through to the end. Was never so glad in my life to reach the last page in a book.

It is so very sad when an excellent writer feels he/she must add blantant sex scene's (you can go to and adult book store if you need sex books), in order to expand their audience. There was such a good story here, why ruin it by talking about a dripping shaft and other sexual phenomena. If the writer had put in the romance and left out the more than VIVID sex scene's this would have been a 5 star book. As it is I can't donate this book to a library where a person under 18 could read it. So I wasted my money and have to throw the book in the trash. What a great story to bad it was ruined
