Enjoy this new concept even though I questioned it because I typically am not a fan of vampire stories but now I look forward to the next book in this series. Even though I also am waiting for the next Sigma Force novel.

What a wonderful ending for this fantastic trilogy! As always, I was pulled deeply into the story and felt as if I were right beside them in the battles. Would love to see more of Erin and Jordan's adventures in the future.

There was very little to be disappointed with the entire series, except that it is over. I have always enjoyed these two authors and would recommend this series to all my friends. Awesome concept of redemption.

This was an excellent way to end the trilogy. All the story lines ended well, and there's room for another book if the writers wanted to continue it. I'm so glad I read this series, but sad it's over.

The historical facts, about the Blood Countess and John Dee, were true. I googled much from the book, countries and places like the Faust House in Prague, and the info used in the book was true. I learned a lot.
The premise in the story was amazingly believable as were the characters. The plot aimed toward the climax scary and based on biblical texts. A truly fascinating book. I recommend it to those people who enjoy a supernatural thriller of highest accolades!

I have really been enjoying this series -- the characters, the dialog, the action and suspense and the overall plot. The only problem I have had while reading it is the cognitive dissonance that results from reading a story ostensibly set in modern times but that seems to accept a very literal interpretation of biblical history. Everything that happens in the books only makes sense if you accept that the entire universe consists of the Earth and a bunch of shiny lights in the night sky, that the Earth was created 6000 years ago, that Noah was a historical figure, that Lucifer fought against the Archangel Michael right here on Earth, and that Hell is some place deep underground. I cringed when I read that the reason why the dark essences of strigoi defeated in battle wafted downward was because they were returning to Hell whence they came.
Even if you are religiously-minded, it's hard to reconcile such a medieval world view with the rest of the story that involves modern technology and attitudes. It just takes me out of what is otherwise a very interesting and well-written story.
In the end, I managed to convince myself that the story takes place, not in our modern world, but in some alternate universe where the Earth was created 6000 years ago and really the center of a very small universe, where God didn't have to worry about billions and billions of light years worth of other galaxies, where Satan really was banished underground, and where the Bible really is a historical record of actual events. I'm not saying you have to be a Young-Earth Creationist to enjoy this book, but it does help to imagine that this novel takes place in a universe where the Young-Earth Creationists are actually correct and all those pretty lights in the sky really are just pin holes in the fabric of the night sky.

This was not a typical subject matter that I read . But I found the clever use of fact and fiction , set in Italy to be entertaining and the development of the primary characters is what caused me to read MUST READ all 3 books .

The book slowed down. The writer was dragging it out to 3 full books. But the 2nd half speeds up, good action; good ending to the series. What will the writer do next? Go back to his Sigma series?

Highest praise doesn't do this one justice. Truly a page turner. You can't wait to see what happens next, but you hate for the story to end. It has all the fast paced action that any "Thriller" junkie could ask for.

The series of three books is amazing.....and definitely need to be read in order. Rollins always provides high adventure and energy to anything he writes. This book is no exception. The characters are strong and the plot line keeps you guessing. There is great detail without overburdening the reader with unnecessary facts. Enjoy!

I have read almost every book that James Rollins has written, so it's safe to say I'm a fan and that it's very likely I'll read his next book. Having said something nice, I have to say that Blood Infernal is disappointing. I won't spoil it for those who haven't yet read it, but even if you're not a Christian (which I happen to be), I think you'd find the ending implausible. Coleridge wrote that in order to truly appreciate poetry, the reader must have a willing suspension of disbelief. In order to appreciate the ending of this novel, the reader who is a believer has to willing suspend his or her beliefs. It has bothered me from the beginning that the premise of the whole series is that Lazarus was not miraculously raised from the dead by Christ but that he was a vampire who sustained himself on blessed wine (the "blood" of Christ). I could tolerate that, though, as a bit of poetic license. I can't tolerate the notion that Eve's "sin" in the garden was not following through on a promise to the serpent, Satan. Eve disobeyed God. Satan, Lucifer, whatever you want to call him, fell before humans were created, and Adam and Eve had nothing to do with his fall. I hope the next book is not such a disappointment.

James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell really did a number on this one. This is easily the best vampire book since Ann Rice dropped her magic on us. Strong characters make this book excellent and the plot is beyond creative!

Amazing! I loved these books. I couldn't stop thinking of them. I love the way the author writes. I could taste, smell, hear and feel everything because of the amazing descriptions. Thank you for these!
