Excellent board book for babies to look at, enjoy and learn from for years and years. Do something positive with your mistakes. A 10 year old girl introduced me to this book when I was her reading buddy. Even though I am 79 I love the book and its message.

My child struggles with perfection and frustration. Hoping that"bEautiful Opps" will allow my little one to see that an accident can turn into a wonderful masterpiece. As of now, my child finds this book funny and the illustrations entertaining.

Such a cute story with great illustrations and lots of flaps and pieces to interact with. A very unique children's story! As a lifetime crafter, I love the lesson this book teaches that nothing is every ruined... Just another creative opportunity is created.

I rated this book along with the Saltzberg Oomph book, so I will repeat that both books are excellent, but it is in combination that they are really marvelous -- my five year old granddaughters now regularly talk about turning an oops into an oomph when they spill something or make a mistake. The two of these books are a demand read whenever I put them to bed.

I read this with my class every year in September. It's a great way to start a conversation about growth mindset. My kids often end up using the phrase "beautiful opps" to describe things that don't go as planned. I highly recommend this lovely book to everyone who works with kids!

A perfect gift for children or adults who appreciate children's books! Encourages the reader to seek beauty and be creative in moving past mistakes. I've also used it for children's sermons at church.
Easy read for all ages. Some pages do have moving parts, which could be easily torn by very young hands.

Another great Satzberg book! Pages turn a mistake into a beautiful solution. The, literally, torn page becomes an alligator's mouth. A spilled paint mistake becomes an elephant. Besides being a clever book, this teaches children (and adults, too) not to be discouraged when they make an "oops!" in art. HIGHLY recommended by this art teacher!

This book is so very clever! Children and adults alike will appreciate the creativity that can turn an "oops" into a work of art! You will not be disappointed with this book. My three-year-old niece enjoyed it very much.

Fun, fun, fun. Our daughter started going through a phase around 3.5 years old where she felt frustrated with her OOPS. I found this book a long time ago, but I knew this was a good time to purchase it. She really enjoys reading it and I think it's helping her understand the beauty of all her OOPS.

I was rather disappointed in this book. It has a very cute premise, but the book seems difficult to navigate. It seems disjointed and confusing for me. I hope my three-year-old can make heads or tails out it.

I have always been enamored with interactive books with their hands-on page activities, and this book doesn't disappoint. My only regret is that is isn't long enough, but that is inherent with this type of book, due to the thickness and quality of the product. It has inspired me to work on my own version of interactive book. Thanks, Mr. Saltzberg!!

What a great reminder. I read through it before wrapping it for my daughter-- and I think that I might have needed it read it more than her. It inspires you to celebrate mistakes, I mean oops, and turn them into something beautiful and fun. I think everyone is getting a copy for their birthday or Christmas. Everyone.

Sooo happy I bought this! My little one tends to get on the perfectionist side and I think this book is a must have for that. Now whenever she makes a mistake, she turns it into an opportunity for a creation - her artistic talents have developed so much further b/c of the message this book conveys. Huge thanks to the author Barney Saltzberg!!!

The concept of this book is darling, but I ordered two as gifts and both were defective - one was torn up the binding, and the other had the cover upside down relative to the content of the book (so it opened to the last page, upside down). Disappointing, to say the least.

This is one of the best books written about turning mistakes into opportunities. No, that's wrong; it's about seeing what is possible. I think it should be given to every new parent and should be read daily to children everywhere. If you've ever heard Sir Ken Robinson speak about what happens to children and their creativity once it is pounded out of them, there is a cure and this book is it.

I bought this for my grandson who loves doing art work. It was wonderful and creative. It teaches how if a mistake is made, using your imagination can change the situation. Very clever how they designed this book. I think it will be helpful especially for kids that tend to be perfectionist. Highly recommended.

I used this book as a motivator for my elementary students. The results have been amazing!!!! I could not have ever dreamed of the many way students "created" with just a page from an old art supply catalog. They seem to have released all pre-conceived notions of what is "art". YAY!!!

Very nice & imaginative book. Our son really enjoys it. We have to be with him each time he grabs this book as there a few pages that could be ruined due to pulling and curiosity (the crumpled up paper part especially). Kids can learn with this book.

A very creative way to look at mistakes. This book looks are how a mistake, although an oops, can be made beautiful and incorporated into your work. A good book to use to help teach that in art there can be a beautiful mistake or to teach adaptive skills to students who have trouble accepting mistakes or things not going perfectly.

I bought this book based on the store's recommendation. My grandson ripped out the wad of paper at the back of the book thinking it was a piece of trash. Oops! I glued it back in. No harm done, which is the point of the book. After I bought this book I saw it in an art museum gift shop, which made me feel cultured!

My son (almost 6) struggles with projects and art not turning out the way he wants (much like his father and I, sorry kid!). This is a great book to help him learn that, sometimes, mistakes are what make the art great, unique, or something great that you weren't even expecting. Each page is fun and interesting.

The most inventive book ever. Teaches kids to be creative with what might be a mistake at first. There is always a different way of seeing things. A great addition to anyone's collection, even adults.

Beautiful book that tells a great story. Not only is it okay to make a mistake, amazing things can come out of it. The story has resonated with our son who told us it's not okay to make a mistake. A must have for a perfectionist child, but an enjoyable book for all.

I have now purchased four copies of this book. I love giving it as a gift as it is often one that recipients, even my most bookish ones, haven't seen before. But I also own a copy as this book is imaginative and captivating even to grown-ups!
