Surely, someone has pointed out to Mr. King by now that Storm of the Century contains a historical inaccuracy....loved the "Lost Colony" tie-in, but they disappeared from Roanoke Island(Manteo),North Carolina NOT Roanoke, Virginia! Glad to get this off my chest...it's been bugging me since the miniseries! By the way, I am a King fan!!

If you like stephen king this is the book to get. the plot was in maine in a town called "LITTLE TALL" and it was great. This guy named "LINOGE" was terrorizing the whole town and he killed a bunch of people. if you like horror this is the one to get!

Really enjoyed this diversion from his usual, and reading the story in screenplay text was not at all difficult, the way he plays the characters and effects, but I do have one question,,What is Croaton? Is it a place or anagram or ???

There are popular elements in this book, which means you really know what will happen next. When Linoge faces with with many town people, you expect that he will say dark things about them. Briefly story is good for o screen play but not good for a novel. I really disliked the photographs in the book. I imagined Linoge differently :(.

Stephen King has made another novel full of horror and suspense. The biggest storm ever is about to hit a town called Little Tall Island in Maine. While this storm is occuring a strange gentleman named Andre Linoge stops to visit. He walks up to a home owned by an old woman Martha Clarendon. Linoge charges in the old womans home and brutily murders her. Later, he purposly lets the police department arrest him.

I appreciate the necessity of community-wide idiocy of Little Tall Island's citizens. Without that, there'd be no story. Lots of blood without gore is also a nice touch and a Stephen King movie hallmark. Art-blood, if you will. All through the story, the wind is howling and "blowing houses down." We get the wolf motif the 1st night Linoge bears his fangs; then on night 2 we are told of Biblical Legion's invasion of the pigs ... on night 3 I waited for Linoge, faithful to the fairy-tale version, to finally tell people what he wanted them to give him so he could go away: THREE LITTLE PIGS. I was disappointed not to have a legitimate reason to laugh out loud and felt a bit guilty having laughed illegitimately the whole way through. Entertainment at its finest!
