This is one of the better LGBT narratives out there for teens. It's enlightening without being preachy, and I love it because instead of being about "gay issues" it's about "teen issues", which actually end up being "life issues", like love and insecurity. It's funny and thoughtful and occasionally a little bit silly, which is always nice when helping to normalize the LGBT community for teens who grew up in communities like mine, where being gay wasn't talked about because no one really knew anyone who was (openly) gay.
I'd recommend this book to anyone. Period.

My second John Green book .... took me a short while to get used to the lack of capitalisation in the chapters to differentiate the characters, but once I did I settled in and really enjoyed it. Not as good as The Fault in my Stars (excellent by the way), but it came pretty close.
Reaching Every Student in Every Class Every Day - Flip Your Classroom :: Flipped :: Flipped For Murder (A Country Store Mystery) :: and Climate Change - Field Notes from a Catastrophe :: Maskerade: (Discworld Novel 18) (Discworld series)

I'm a central office educator and reading non-fiction is my life, so I need to "schedule" time in to read literature and fiction. Our high school teachers and many of our students love John Green so I needed to give it a try. WG, WG is a great story and the point of view is very unique in that it alters from chapter to chapter. The character development is strong and this book will leave you cheering. I liked it so much that I've decided I'm going to read every John Green book...just finished Paper Towns...also very cool, but in a different way.

This was a great book, but I think character development could be worked on a little more. These kids seemed to have their issues define them, but there has to be more to them than that. I also think the book was ended a little too soon. Maybe they could end it a few days after the play? Otherwise I thought it was a good read. =)

These two authors make an interesting team. John Green has a humorous style that makes his Will Grayson a love able dork. The accompanying author David Levithan's Will Grayson is a damaged soul whos journey is touching. this is a great story.

This book is fantastic! I literally finished it in a day! It's confusing at first but it all comes together! The difference between the two wills and the role they play in everyone's lives is amazing! I highly suggest this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it was lighthearted and predictable and everything wanted in a quick read. I'm always a big fan of John green and his witty metaphors and surrealistic pictures of the lives of teenagers. This was my first read of David Levithan and I loved his will grayson and his pessimistic view on life. Call me crazy but I felt like he was a very relatable character and I loved reading the even chapters. There's a part of each Will Grayson in all of us.

I got Will, Grayson, Will Grayson beacause I am a John Green fan, but this book is only okay. It's just not as well written as, say, Paper Towns or Looking for Alaska. Maybe it's the addition of the other writer? The plot is thin and, at times, just plain silly. Don't get me wrong - I like the whole "tolerance of those who are different" thing; I love the idea that teenagers could so widely embrace their gay classmates - but I know high schoolers, and none of this is very realistic. And how could a teenage boy write, direct, and produce an entire musical by himself? When I was able to suspend my disbelief, I was able to enjoy parts of this book - certainly I finished it and was probably smiling as I did so- it was the whole suspension of disbelief that was an issue for me. It seems like something that might have been written in a college creative writing class.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson makes you feel better about that very strange time known as "being a teen". In fact, I've heard the term "terrible teen" so many times to describe the actions of our youth, like adults forgot what this book perfectly describes. The anxiety, the passion, the newness and unsure-ness of growing up.

For a non-native English speaker not always the easiest. Still an excellent book and greatly entertaining when it come to the Will's feelings and moods. And there is even another star in the story: Tiny.
Read it.

This book became my Christmas present and I loved it so much that I read it in 3 days, tops. I think if you've dealt with being an outcast, dealing with depression at a young age(or even at an older age), or friend issues then you probably will really like this book. It makes the characters much more relate-able so you want to continue reading to find out the outcome of the character's situation. Like a review previously said, the story goes from one Will Grayson to the other Will Grayson in alternating chapters. The well written chapter is the straight Will Grayson and the "poorly" written chapter is the gay Will Grayson. One of my friends believed that the entire story was just in the straight Will Grayson's POV but that every alternating chapter he was having some mood swings or something so she didn't understand much of the book(but she still enjoyed it).
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this book especially if you're a teenager, which I'm not but I definitely would have liked this especially if I were in my teenage years.

Absolutely excellent read! I'm 45 and my daughter is 14. There was so much content within the text to prompt great discussion about.sexual, financial and personality differences. Beautiful book! Thank you John Green for writing it!

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good YA. At first you think the books about lgbt bjht you slowly come to realize its about so much more! Depression, friendship, growing up. A mind opening book.
