The One Who Eats Monsters (Wind and Shadow) (Volume 1)

Honestly I wasn’t expecting to find this book. Scrolling through my recommended books this one caught my attention and held it. As a fan of Kresley Cole I’m well versed in what makes a good read, and this book was a great read. Fantastic world building, strong female protagonist. This book was literally everything I needed. You will not be able to put this book down, I certainly couldn’t. 10 out of 10 would recommend to every single person in the whole wide world.

Mathews has the beginnings of a fabulous series in this intriguing engulfing book. As I read I found myself entranced in the characters and their world. Waiting with great anticipation for the next installment!

This remains one of my favorite kindle unlimited reads. I didn’t put the book down. It’s an excellent lesbian fantasy novel, something I find isn’t always easy to find. Even 6 months later I find myself checking back for any information on a sequel or to see if Casey Matthews has written anything else.
