An easy and inspiring read. Jon's thoughtful humor throughout the book not only made the book enjoyable, but helped to drive home so many lessons along the way. If you've started...and started...and started, but struggle with actually finishing, then this book is exactly what you're needing. If nothing else, you'll finish this book which will only help to motivate you to finish your other goals you've been putting off. Honestly, this book is a MUST READ for anyone.

Fantastic read. Love the humor, and the truth in this book. Over and over I kept saying “yeah I do that...”, or “no wonder that never worked before.” In reading this book I’ve already noticed a huge change in my behavior towards my goals, and a different t view point in some dreams I have.

Jon does a great job of explaining the reason why people often fail at achieving their goals. On a more basic sense his argument is based around perfectionism. I’be tried a lot of the strategies he suggests and have seen results. However, consistency is key.

Great food for thought. Like a good burger and batch of fries I would pair this book with another in tandem as to how to organize your day, projects, and goals of what truly matters. It's a refreshing read on keeping the main thing the main thing and building into a schedule of avoiding being over committed and keeping your motivations simple.

Look, if Jon Acuff suddenly decided to sell air, I'd buy in bulk. He's honest and hilarious, which will alone make me loyal to him and his brand for life. Add extremely valuable and inspirational content to the mix? Sold. This book is what I needed to finally launch my business and not lose hope. In fact, this book IS a breath of fresh air when your daunting task feels like it's suffocating you. It'll make you determined to defy the odds and FINISH.

Somehow, some way, Jon Acuff has been hiding in my house for the past five years. (Maybe he's been under the bed) He's watched me start and quit too many health, writing, lifestyle and exercise regimens, many of which never made it through the week. Jon's book showed me why following through was really for no one else but me and why I owe it to me. Thanks! And, if you don't mind, could you take care of some of those dust bunnies when you leave?

This book is not a light and quick motivational self-help. Don’t expect to read it in one sitting for some quick feel-goods and then move on. Instead, the book is full of actionable steps that, when applied, will improve your progress on whatever you’re striving to complete.

Jon does it again! His brilliant and down-to-earth practices for finishing our goals is the first time I felt like I could really accomplish something I've always dreamed of. This is a must read for every dreamer, goal-setter and doer who actually wants to see real progress.

With his signature humor and down-to-earth style, Acuff takes on the playground bully called perfectionism. After dissecting all the nefarious tactics it uses to keep us from accomplishing our goals, he offers powerful strategies and important questions to allow us "starters" to knock perfectionism to the ground and kick sand in its face.

I really found this book thought provoking. It has many solid ideas about perfectionism and its impact on finishing projects.
I initially bought an electronic version, but went back and bought the hard-cover version because I felt it was a helpful
book to have on my desk.

A fun look at how to overcome some common obstacles and actually get stuff done. Acuff is really encouraging toward goal accomplishment without being trite or devaluing the people around you who don't share those goals. Great book.

The research presented really support the practical steps. This book came out at a perfect time as I am in the process of finishing a few credits for a CPA certification. This book has helped me stay focused with my goal. Plus the humor made it easy to digest the content.

Lots of self help and motivational books give you ideas presented by the author and anecdotal evidence that what they are saying works. Finish has scientific studies and great humor to back it up. It's a great read and I encourage you to buy it ASAP

If you struggle with starting things and not finishing them (I may or may not identify with that problem!) you've got to read this book. It's so practical, which is often where books like this fall short, and funny. It will have you celebrating a finished goal in no time!

This book was such an inspiration and Jon is quite funny. It really gives you a science based approach as to why we do the things we do when it comes to accomplishing a goal. Never a dull or boring moment from beginning to end.

If you’ve rarely finished a project of any kind small or large, then this book will explain why. Buy this book, read it, and then get on living your life and live it the way you were supposed to. I now have deep fissures in my ego from what this book explained about me.

A well written book with great stories that kept my interest. I am a habitual starter and not a great finisher. I am so glad I read this book. It has given me some useful tools to become a finisher. I have already finished reading 3 books. I am excited to see what else I will finish.
