How this has not been hit with a copyright infringement is astonishing. It is almost word for word copied from Obsidian, Jennifer L. Armentrout's book. Save yourself the money and just buy Obsidian to support the real author.

You stole this book you just changed the names and stuff but this book is just like the luxury series I hope they get you for plagiarism I'm sorry to sound rude but you need to be original and not steal things people spent a lot of time working on.

Ok, it is nearly a complete copy of obsidian, scarily so that I can hardly remember the differences.. The characters are all the same and the only tangible difference being that it was demons, instead of aliens.
Regardless, I loved obsidian, so obviously I loved this book.. I would put this on the shelf next to my worn out Austen's, I prefer it to obsidian, only because I found the story more realistic in terms of emotional relationships.
I am sad that this book is so similar to obsidian, but I don't think that we should prejudice for that reason - I enjoyed it and eagerly await the sequel.
I gifted it 5 stars because I would have happily have thought this novel was awesome not knowing the lux series, nevertheless anyone not having read obsidian should know that it is a great read and pursue it eagerly.

And by "similar", I mean almost copied exactly, for this seems like only the names and a few details are changed from the first of the Lux series, Obsidian, by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Obsidian I did very much enjoy, so to see a derivative version (fan-fiction?) is upsetting. Don't waste your time with this free book, go buy the better written original. You won't regret that purchase.

This book stands on its own. Good authors are able to create they own unique worlds. That is what this book is, a unique world. Are there other books like it yes. Are they the exact replica
. no...

Only difference is there is demons instead of aliens
I regret buying it for $3.99. I am giving this review Only so no one else can mistake I made.
Author must come with new ideas instead of copying somebody else's.

After reading several reviews and those reviews stating that the Divisa series are knock offs of the Obsidian Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, I had to read this. I LOVE!!!! Love!!! the Obsidian series. There is not one thing I would change about it; other than more books. JLA actually did do a spin off from the Obsidian series called Obession. That was really good for those that like the Obsidian series.
Ok, back to the Divisa series. When I heard this series was like Obsidian series, I couldn't wait to start. I just wanted more books like the Obsidian series. I knew going in there would be alot of similarities but similarities are fine. If you read alot like me, most if not all books have some components that are similar to another book. The key - is to have us readers be able to separate them.
Unfortunately, I was not able to separate this Divisa book from Obsidian. Everything was initally the same; except for names and the paranormal aspect.
With all that being said, I did enjoy the book but the..
intensity was low
bantering felt more like whining
only in Angel's POV
writing style was ok
Half Demons? couldn't really tell except for the strength and eye changing.
Unfortunately, I did skim a little bit
This book would have been alot better in Dual POV.
Do I recommend? Only if you haven't read Obsidian and even then I would say GO read Obsidian.
I am sorry Ms. Weil. You may or may not have intentionally known you were writing a book comparable to another authors. If you did know, you should be ashamed. If not, You are getting bashed for your hard work and I would recommend you pull this book and make it different.
I will read book 2 to see how that goes.

sorry. this book started off fine. i liked all the characters and the premise. then the story picked up and the characters just became to juvenile. i got tired of the heroine forgiving the guy every time he was a jerk....which was a lot. there was just a lot a silly immature arguing that i found very annoying. then when the hero flew across the school parking lot to keep the heroine from getting hurt......Twilight anyone? thats when i decided i was done. i gave 3 stars because i did make it halfway and i didnt finish the book so it cant be a true review. just not my cup of tea

There are a lot of negative thoughts on this book but you always have to take it for what it is and I really liked it!
Angel was snarky and fun dealing with a lot having just moved to a new area. And is a great contrast with her interesting neighbours Chase, Travis and Lexi.
It was great to watch Angel interact with them and become friends with them. I liked the setting as well with the forest and beautiful nature around, I also really liked the writing style as well it really made you get into Angel's head a lot.
I did like the twist with the demons as well as it can really go anyway
Overall a good book and made me want to see what was next!

I've never read anything quite like this story. I like how the author took her time in painting this picture, yet didn't over do it and bore me to tears. I dislike books that rush and leave you scratching your head and not able to connect to the world or even the characters. This author allowed you to fully immerse yourself in the MC s world. It was a quick read because I simply couldn't put it down. The only thing I can think of to criticize is angel and chase's relationship sometimes. I get the back and forth banter and the love/hate relationship in the beginning. But I was expecting that to go away towards the end of the book. Its kind of getting old . I hope in the next installment, their relationship grows! I'm no grammar police, but I did notice a handful of errors. Misspellings, missing words, jumbled words, etc. It doesn't bother me, but a heads up for those OCD peeps out there.

nteresting concept, with the demon being the good-guy. I liked the twists and turns. The characters are believable and pretty well filled out. The plot-line has a little stutter, every once in a while. All-in-all, I liked this story. It's a lot more human in context, and that makes it much more like you would think it should go or be. I kept waiting for the kick ass, Surprise! Like when and how will Angel start to take care of herself, instead of having to rely on others. I'm sure that will be in the next book. I will read that one ....

This review does contain some SPOILERS and it has been a while since i read this book.I think I could have enjoyed this book more if I hadnt read obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout first. These to books are nearly identical with different names. In Obsidian it starts with a girl who is moving to a tiny town after her father dies from cancer, her mother is a workaholic and is never there. In Saving Angel it starts with a girl moving to a tiny town after her abusive father is jailed, her mother is also a workaholic who is never there. In obsidian they only have one neighbouring house where the hero lives,it is hate at first sight between the hero and heroine, the hero has a sister who is fun, bubbly ,cheerful and lonely(the heroine and sister instantly become friends-the siblings are incredibly beautiful.) In saving angel the MC has only one neighbouring house where the hero lives,it is hate at first sight....,the hero has a COUSIN who is fun , bubbly, cheerful..bla bla bla(they're also beautiful). It turns out in obsidian that the neighbours are aliens. In saving angel it turns out the neighbours are demons. The neighbours are hunted by the bad guys in both novels. There is a mean girl in both novels ,both mean girls in both novels have the delusion that they have rights to the hero because they had /think they're in a relationship with said hero.In the end in both books they end up somehow bonded together(the hero and heroine.)Do you see where I'm going with this,it just seems like there are too many similarities.

Not your typical love story. Demons, magic, and the girl stuck in the middle. Insta love but they push apart until the very last minute.
I admit I started this book a few times before finally making it through. But after I got past the beginning I read the first three books in a day. The series is so real with the emotions. And Chase has both the dark and the light. Making him the best swoon worthy guy around.

Wow, wow, WOW! Where to begin! Amazing book filled with outrageous sexual tension and near infuriating cold shoulder moments.
Angel is the new girl in a small town filled with dark, hellish secrets. With summer break coming to a close, Angel isn't exactly looking forward to being the new girl in school. Luckily for her, her new neighbors make it seem like a bareable fresh start... that is until she learns their family secret.
** I recieved a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book one in the series is character building. There are some challenges for the characters that were entertaining. A lot of laughing moments, and plenty of smirks that even I gave an A+. Chase is the bad boy half demon and his lovely neighbor is the only girl with a target on her back! Loved it, and the chuckles were so worth it.

i really liked this series its a great time killer if you enjoyed twilight youll like this series there are lines in the book that you would swear are hijacked from said series but there are many differences the protagonists have thier individuality outside thier interaction with each other angel and her mom have a great relationship despite her mom not being around much angel is new to her surroundings but acclimated quickly i could do without her near constant gushing about chase in some parts but all in all they are fast reads im about to start book 4 and im already starting to miss the characters lol
