The decent middle and end made up for the terrible beginning.

Spoilers!

Firstly: The character's mother was in a terrible relationship yet she's pushing her teenage daughter into getting into a serious relationship at an early age. Seems a little unlikely but also what kind of mother is freaking out over her 17 year old daughter still being single. If she were in her 30s or even late 20s, I'd kind of understand but what message are you sending to young girls out there? If you don't have a man in high school, you're worthless? Not ideal. Your teenage years and early twenties should be fun filled. If it involves a boyfriend, great. But if it doesn't, that's fine too.

Secondly, the whole annoying best friend trying to set her up with someone is, well, super annoying. Also, perhaps it was just me that felt slightly offended in relation to setting her up with a lesbian. Who cares if she's gay or not, but what if she was lesbian, is it really appropriate to force her out the closet like that? What if she wasn't emotionally ready to come out. I guess it was meant to be funny, but it felt a little mean.

All that being said, once I got over the awkward introduction, the characters grew on me and I really like the story.

I chose this rating because I thought this was an adorable, heart-felt book that deserves the credit it has earned. Great, action-packed, heart-beating romance story. Not much can beat this. I would definitely recommend this book to all romantics (I happen to be one too!) It's a great read!

Such a fun and well written book. Easy, quick read that is enjoyable the whole way through. I was honestly sad when it was over because I loved the characters so much. Truly just a fun girlie adorkable book.

Enjoyable, fun, one sitting read. I laughed out loud several times which is rare. Becks and Ash are lovely, but Lillian and the protagonist who's name I already forgot were kind of annoying sometimes and b|t©#y. Typical teenagers, really.
The story is fine I guess, nothing seriously extraordinary. It's a light summer afternoon YA, good for relaxing :) I give 3,49 for it, 1 taken for the protagonists' missing communication skills and stupidity, and another half for the fact that every girl in this book was put in a little box wrapped in pink cover "your typical ordinary girl" written on it.
