Who would have thought Lucifer being a perfect match maker? lol The man in charge of Hell himself is setting up couples and they are falling in love. Seems odd but he is trying to build his army.
Katie is a crazy psycho. She enjoys killing. Unfortunately in her human life this is what cost her, her life. Even if she did only kill scum bags who really didn't deserve to live. Sadly Katie has a bad past and trusts no man. Now in Hell the even call her The Black Widow. Even if she doesn't trust men, the girl still has needs! But the men she decides to satisfy those needs with never see the light of another day. Remember I told you she was a psycho.
Then there is Xaphan who made a ridiculous vow some 300 yrs ago to never love another. And the crazy mofo has kept it. That is until a little psycho vixen walks in with her sexual innuendos and starts to shatter Mr. Grumpy's well kept walls. And its a good thing she does, a man that looks as good as Xaphan does should not be self pleasuring himself at all! Unless he is putting a show!
This dysfunctional couple was no easy match. Him with his burdens and Katie with hers. Even is she breaks through his shell and gets him in bed she still plans to kill him.
I have said it tons of times before but I freaking love Eve Langlais! She always gives me exactly what I want in a book. I feel almost like repeating all my gushing love for her again and again. But I don't want to keep saying the same thing! You just really need to check out her books! Trust me! And Welcome To Hell series is becoming one of my top favorites of hers. I can't wait to Lucifer's next pair he sets up!

In " A Demon and His Psycho" Eve Langlais continues to regale me with her innovative, humorous, sometimes a little over the top but always sizzling and provocative chronicle of romantic matches made in (heaven)oops, my mistake, that would be "Matches made in Hell." LOL In this edition, our unsuspecting parties/victims are Xaphan and Katie. Xaphan, a/k/a Mr. grumpy, is a half demon warrior who, although, physically mouth-wateringly sexy wouldn't know laughter or happiness unless it bit him in the rear which it does in the form of Katie. Katie, a/k/a the Psycho is hell's newest resident and is a cute, curvaceous, giggling, psychotic human killer and determined to see just how far she can push Xaphan before he snaps. The characters are a bit one dimensional but I liked and related to them both. The plot is a wee bit thin and Katie's sexual innuendos began to grate a bit but it didn't prevent me from being thoroughly entertained and utterly delighted with the HEA. There's lot of killing and mayhem, salacious sex scenes that will cruel your toes, humor and a rather superficial mystery that Xaphan and Katie are assigned to solve. it's a light hearted read that doesn't make one think too hard or that takes itself too seriously. This book, as well as, the entire series, does have the whole instant attraction thing that some readers apparently dislike. Whereas I on the other hand, think that it's perfectly plausible given that we are dealing with the world of the paranormal which is filled with the unexplainable and unimaginable. Consequently, being inexplicability and/or instantly attracted to one's destined mate seems quite reasonable.
I didn't quite enjoy this one as much as I did the first book in the series "A Demon and His Witch." Why? To be honest I'm not entirely sure. I guess that it's b/c I liked Remy and Ysabel as individuals and as a couple better and their mystery had more depth, danger and suspense. Moreover, I think that sometimes when one reads the books in a series back to back maybe the stories lose a bit of their freshness and/or uniqueness especially when a formula begins to appear. Nevertheless, a satisfying and entertaining read and, yes, I still plan to read the next book in the series "A Date With Death" as soon as I post this review. BTW, this, as well as, the first book in the series make an excellent stand alone read. Buy it, read it, Enjoy!

Another from Eve Langlais, and there are so many elements to enjoy that it is hard to pick just one. Lucifer is front and center in this story, perhaps in a marionette master sort of way: it is his machinations and matchmaking that is pairing his loyal minions with one purpose in mind: increasing the demon army in hell.
Katie is an executioner: she loves her job. No she really LOVES her job. Katie has anger issues, and is clinically diagnosable. But there is a deliciously wicked twist to Katie: she has adopted a very bubbly, giggly demeanor that makes her appear harmless, when she is anything but.
Lucifer enjoys Katie, in fact she is one of his favorites for getting a job done properly. But he needs her to team with Xaphan to find a missing dragon. And, somewhere in his devious brain he thinks that the two are the perfect team: for this job and for life.
Xaphan is a grumpy, semi-antisocial ex-warrior with a train load of baggage. Unused to working with anyone, the last thing he wants to do is run in search of someone’s pet, and certainly not paired with the chatty she of the questionable sanity Katie.
The two are cleverly paired: from annoying to distracting, there is something about Katie that Xaphan just can’t ignore. Even with the fact that she is known for killing every man she has ever had sex with. See, Katie doesn’t see that as odd: they all did something to break her trust or hurt her. She was just evening the odds. Yet Xaphan, with his peculiar honor and his pining over a long lost love show her what a good man can be, and is. And their interactions are priceless: the personalities just manage to play well with one another in dialog that is clever, witty and feels appropriate to their situation.
Both characters experience a wholesale change in their long-held opinions and attitudes, as they come together with sparks and steam. Their connection develops slowly, but is all the more convincing as their reliance on one another grows and strengthens. I could picture Lucifer with a satisfied grin on his face, as his plans for these two come to fruition.
I received an eBook copy of the title from the author for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Absolutely loved this story, who knew Lucifer was a match maker ! The dating agency from Hell quite literally.
These two are clearly perfect for each other and from the very first words I was intrigued and fast became completely invested in Katie and Xaphan.
Was it bloodthirsty in places ? Yep but what better way for a Demon and a Psycho to bond! I love the sarcasm and humour and as for heat, WOW, well what do you expect, they are in Hell.
I’ve already downloaded more books from this series, can’t wait to get stuck in.

I swear this book was written by a different author?!? I got this book as part of the WELCOME TO HELL trio & I'm so glad I didn't pay for it separately. Langlais' books can have a dark edge but this one.... was dark through & through. If not for the ocassional heat & humor, I would have skipped it completely. Some of her books have death in them, this one was wrapped, soaked & baked in death. Bodies, blood, dismemberment, chopping off heads, YUCK!! Katie was very annoying @ times, I realize she was using her dark humor as a shield, but I wasn't amused by it.
When I re-read this trio, I will definitely skip this one.... I'd delete it completely but I don't want to lose the other 2 books.

I love this series! I love the thought that Lucifer is playing matchmaker to add numbers to his army. I love the couples that Eve creates. I love the situations that she puts them in to put them together. I enjoy the quirkiness that makes what would seem like a dark book into a humorous read.
Katie is krazy. She not only loves her job as executioner, a job that she excels at, she lives for it. It helps her with her anger issues, which she has plenty of. Katie is not just a little off, she is way out there. Meds to treat psychosis were developed with her in mind. She is also the polar opposite of Xaphan, and the woman that landed him in Hell to begin with.
Xaphan is a touch grouchy. He is used to working alone on the mortal plane. Lucifer has decided to give him a partner for his current job, to add insult to injury Lucifer has sent him on a job to find a missing pet. The perky barely dressed blonde starts off as an annoying chatterbox, she turns into a temptress that he cannot keep his mind off of. The things that she makes him want to do to her forces him to question his loyalty to a vow he made three hundred years ago to another.
Xaphan shows Katie something she has never experienced before, descent man. Katie believes all men are selfish pigs. Xaphan is different from everything she has ever known about males. Katie makes Xaphan think and feel things he didn't know he was capable of. She also tries his patience and makes his question his own sanity. All in all this makes for a fantastically great book.
I can easily visualize Lucifer in a fancy suit kicked back in his office, mischievous gleam in his eyes, rubbing his hands together, head thrown back and laughing at his skills when it comes to pairing his employees.
My only complaint is that the guy on the cover is wearing entirely too much clothing.

Lucifer is setting up couples and they are falling in love. A Demon and His Psycho (Welcome to Hell #2) is another great read. This book is about Katie a psychotic and Xaphan who in the beginning of the book seems normal but turns out that he is almost as crazy as Katie. Lucifer partners the two up to find his granddaughters Pink dragon. There were a few funny spots and well to be truthful the sex was hot. I am really enjoying this series. Who knew that Lucifer was a matchmaker!

Katie is really bubbly and sweet which masks her truly deadly and crazy core. Xaphan starts off seeming normal but turns out that he is almost as crazy as she is. Overall, this is a wonderfully funny and sexy story. Both Katie and Xaphan are ridiculously psychotic but they can find a very lustful and oddly sweet HEA in Hell.

Lucifer is at it again match making he is pairing his most unlikely demons together. Katie is a psycho killer that is known as the black widow , she kills the men after she has sex with them and she is also the enforcer for Lucifer. Zaphan one of Lucifer's best warriors and grumpy because he had pledged his fidelity to the women he loved three hundred years ago and hadn't had sex with any woman in all that time. So Lucifer paired the two together with the task of finding his granddaughter's pink baby Dragon Fluffy. He watches to see if his plans for the two of them work. This series Welcome to Hell is great and very entertaining .

Really enjoyed all the books in this series.
Cute original stories. Somewhat descriptive
sex scenes if that’s not your thing, and some
people might object to a humorous Satan. I
thought it was an enjoyable, light read.

If you want me to like a psychotic, murdering (not in self defence) b*$%@, don't make her so annoying!
I'm going to stay away from this series.
