This was a delightful read. The characters are well developed and their actions aren't always predictable. This is a complete novel but I'm sure the follow-ups will be just as good given Mr. Arseneault's obvious talents.

There really is no plot and no progression. Whole chapters were meaningless and did not add to the story. A lot of jibber jabber about the features of guns that in my mind came across as big plastic toy guns.

Not to inhibit readers of complicated sci-fi or dashing space battles even alien intrusion
but my fare runs also runs that gamut. Steven Arseneaults new ARMS series is not less
for the lack of that. The rumination of behavior drives the principals of a good story to
fruition. This less cluthered canvass colors the journey of two ex space marines to pair up to job seeking, then ARMS smuggling to the truce planets after Earth Force ran out
of a needed metal to build spaceships. Truce is not a cessation of war however as they
find the metal on Eden they plan to claim it by unsettling it with Earth colonists. However our marine duo are patriotic. Having been duped into Earths schemes by a
duplicitous redhead they aim to help correct their mistake. Their first mates agree also
in for a penny in for a pound.

It's always exciting to read The beginning of another Science Fiction Adventure Series from "Stephen Arsenault!
This begins with two adorable individuals (Male & Female) who were genetically enhanced (at birth) to be the perfect soldiers!
Unfortunately, when peace was established, there was no longer any use for the thousands of individuals bread for war!
At first, their lack of personal skills is hysterical, as they try to make a living as freight haulers, using a space ship that's hundreds of years old, amongst "Normal Looking Humans"
But soon, readers learn there is a lot more to these 2 outcasts then their "LOOKS!"
