The Chase (Briar U Book 1)

Loved the Off Campus original 4 books, and this one seems to promise this will continue with this series! Loved Fitz-nerdy, built, deep thinker, hockey god. He meets his match in Summer. He thinks she is “fluff”, no real substance, but Summer shows Fitzy what she’s made of inside! Looking forward to the rest of this series!!

I loved everything about this fun and sexy story. The characters have depth and are realistic and I enjoyed all their arguing and bantering. There is also a cast of entertaining secondary characters added to the mix of this enchanting story. This is a wonderful start to a new college hockey series.

I am sooooo soooo sooo glad that Elle Kennedy has brought our Briar Boys back! This book was steamy and fun. I absolutely loved Summer, she was such a cute fun leading lady. Fitz was the perfect shy guy, but so masculine and swoon worthy! I can not wait until the next book of this series is in my hands!!!! February can’t come soon enough!!!

Very cute story..lots of back and forth that kept me wanting to both strangle and beg for more. Elle Kennedy has left her mark on the sports romance niche again. Can’t wait for more. I have my game plan all mapped out. Who should go where and the hookups are going to be epic!! Lol. Next please!!

Honestly, this was one of my most anticipated books of 2018. We're back at Briar U after the fantastic series that is Off Campus. Summer and Fitz have great chemistry, the sex scenes are smoking hot, and there's enough angst to power a small city. I can't wait to read the sequel! :)

This book reminded me why I love reading Elle Kennedy’s books. They’re not just fun and entertaining, they’re real and intense. Summer and Fitzy’s relationship was how one person made the other one better and their story was beautifully displayed. I can’t wait for Brenna’s story!

I found this book entertaining and humorous. Elle Kennedy had me laughing at the very first page. Summer was sassy and witty all the characteristics of a great heroine while who wouldn't fall for the hot Colin Fitzgerald. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This makes me so sad. I loved her original series with Garrett, Logan, Dean, and Tucker. In the other books Fitzy is mentioned and he’s a better character in those books than this book. There is no chemistry between him and Summer. He is so cold and awful and unappreciative toward her and she is desperate and pathetic for his attention and keeps coming back for more.

Great chemistry with authentic characters make The Chase an awesome addition to the Briar University Stories. I love the real world issues and choices the characters confront. If you enjoyed the Wait for You Series by J. Lynn, you’ll love Elle Kennedy’s new series.

- I was reluctant to read this because Summer is not the type of heroine I usually enjoy, but I gave her a shot because duh it's Elle Kennedy, it's the Briar hockey team again, and Fitz sounded hot. So glad I persisted. Can't wait to read Brenna's story.

This book definitely didn't disappoint at all. Summer and Fitzy's story is well written and catching on its own. However, being a fan of the Off- Campus it was also great to have certain characters pop up in this story! I can't wait for The Risk!

Elle Kennedy writes some great romances and this is no different with The Chase. I really enjoyed this one. At some points I felt like it was dragging a bit, but when it comes down to the whole thing, it's an exceptional read. I recommend it.

This author has always gotten my attention with the very first page. I’m obsessed with the Briar University characters and absolutely can’t wait to see what come next!
Fitz and Summer? Next level hot with all that tension and frustration!

I really, really enjoyed this book (and start of a new series!)! It was good to see characters from previous books, but I really liked the new ones being introduced. I couldn't put this book down and read it in one day! Absolutely loved!

Love the writing style and story elements. It's an influential read and to anyone who works hard and hits the wall with learning obstacles - we are soul sistas in this life because this book reveals our daily lives

This story was fantastic! I loved the next round of hockey Gods. Summer was an amazing female lead, strong, sexy and sweet. The chemistry was off the charts and the sarcasm and witty banter was in perfect form.

Elle Kennedy never disappoints! Love it. It was funny and just the right length; not too long, not too short. I never second guess my decision to buy a book by this author, and I’m already excited for the next one!

Love the previous series and I couldn’t wait for this one. This book didn’t disappoint and I can’t wait for the next. If you liked Dean’s book check out his little sister and Fitzy in this one.

I truly fell in love all over again with Elle's writing. However, I think this book lacked when they finally got together. It went by too fast and it almost lacked the substance that Off-Campus series had. It was explosive and then all of a sudden it hit a plateau. Excited for what's to come but wished this had just a bit...more.

I love this author’s new adult romances. This is hands down her best so far. She does an amazing job writing the H and h’s character growth throughout the story.

This story has such a great moral too, about judging people based on how they look or who they seem to be.

Super sweet (and sexy) and well-written read.

I recommend reading this book. It was a fun time. Loved the dialogue. I want a friend like Summer. I’m looking forward to the next book(s) in the series. I know Brenna’s story is next, but I hope Hunter gets a HEA too.
