The Stuart Woods books are always good to pick up and read when you want to connect to some tried and true characters. The plots are predictable and the writing is not very complex, but the characters are fun.

Typical Stuart Woods- which I used to love. I really find his political bashing against Republicans so distasteful and obsession with Liberals, obnoxious - now a days, all of his stories are politically based and offensive to the reader, regardless of one's political orientation. Because I like Stone Barrington and the cast of
characters, I continue on to the next book . . .

I doubt this book has even been edited. The plot is just good thing happening to stone one after the other. The dialog is lack luster. It is as if he thought to himself "what is the easiest way to make the next good thing happen to stone" when writing the dialog.

Very disappointing. His last two books have been full of partisan Democrat party politics and the author has turned Stone into a political hack for Kate Lee, a thinly disguised Hillary Clinton. He also pictures the Republicans as obstructionists and has them murdering the whistleblower REALLY! All in all,I found the story to be boring and slow moving except for the Dolce subplots. I Have read all of his books to date and I wonder if Woods is using ghost writers now
as the writing style seems different. This will be my last Woods book unless he gets back to his old style
