Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat

Amazing story that gripped me till the very end. Ms. Pat is an inspiration to all women and those who weren’t born with a silver spoon. No matter what, never, ever, ever give up is a great motto for this riveting book! I couldn’t put it down and loved the various characters who influenced Ms. Pat. A true window to poverty on a whole new level.

The book shows you the trauma and family drama that followed children from generation to generation. When you know better do better ( Maya Angelou). It good to read a story like this that did not end in sadness to the point where there is no hope.

The best! Nothing like laughing through the tears. I love Ms. Pat! I am a teacher and have done a lot of reading about students living in trauma. The key to their success is having ONE caring adult. This book illustrates that perfectly!

Great book , so relatable and funny. Congratulations to Ms. Pat on all her success. I recommend this book to young women who are trying to find their way we’ve all been there before & it helps to hear from someone who made it through.

What a crazy and harrowing story. Patricia Williams is an inspiration to keep going when you just want to give up. I read this book in two days non stop. I felt so committed and interested in her life from a child to an adult and everything she had endured while constantly having these moments of self actualization and having to survive.

I saw Ms. Pat in Spokane last month and immediately ordered the book. Do not read this book on a plane. Or anywhere public. You’ll be laughing and crying and getting all sorts of strange looks. Entertaining, inspiring, and sometimes sad; this book will make you think.

I started reading Rabbit yesterday evening and finished this morning. I couldn't put it down. Ms. Pat's ability to share the raw truth of her journey with dry humor is a thing of beauty. I could hear her voice sharing her story with every page.

This book is poignant and shocking. It gives insight into the struggles poor people are fighting that I didn't even realize existed. Despite all the tragedy in this novel, its theme of hope and love is inspirational. It's one of the best books that I have read in years.

I couldn't stop listening! It was amazing and riveting and honest and unbelievable. I fell in love with her! This story needs to be heard by anyone curious about how hard life can be when you are born without boot straps to pull up.

I can't recommend this book highly enough. Even if you're not familiar with Ms. Pat's comedy or have no idea who she is you will be unable to stop turning the pages. From (barely) teen mother to drug dealer to established comedian, Ms. Pat has been through it all.
