I thought it was interesting. I admire the ambition and drive of Rod Stewart. I thought the book was well written. Probably much more enjoyable to people who like football ( soccer). I would recommend it to people who like biographies of successful people.

I read about Rod Stewart's new autobiography in AARP magazine and ordered it right away, along with his new CD, "Merry Christmas, Baby." The book was a fun read after knowing of Rod Stewart but not paying much attention, but now I am hooked on his music and his style, and his very interesting life. He seems to have boundless energy and still a great voice. I hope he continues doing what he does best, entertaining the world with great gusto and adeptness.

One of the best showbiz autobiographies I've read, and quite possibly, the most enjoyable. It's fun, it's funny, it's concise, it's honest, it's revealing. I read it in 3 days and could have finished it in less, if I didn't have a job to attend each day. I dive into these books as a skeptic...how honest do I feel the subject is being with me, the reader? Will I like this person less when I finish the book? The answers here are: Very, and no way. I have an even greater affinity for Rod Stewart after finishing it. I'm sure you will too.

very well written.humerous. I really liked to hear of his life growing up and how fame effected his life.
I loved that he had such respect for his parents and he was very respectful to his prev wives.
I feel you really had a good understanding of him and I have always liked him, but now I have great respect for him.
well done

Rod writes with ease about his life - the good, the bad, and the out-of-control, without trying to impress anyone with his rock star life. He tells his story with honesty, and without making "name-dropping" a big issue. I liked this book a lot, and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the man.

The book was very interesting to say the least. I love Rod Stewart and always have. I guess I didn't know very much about him however. It was quite fascinating and sometimes disturbing. It appeared he didn't pull any punches with himself.

Excellent. Mr. Stewart comes across as an honest man. One who recognizes his impact on the world. He realizes his mistakes and bares them boldly. A story well told of a life well lived. Most enjoyable.

I really enjoyed Rod's autobiography. It was clearly written in his voice and the anecdotes on his music, family and the women he loved were touching and humorous. Also I have a new appreciation for soccer. An entertaining read!

Very quick read. This seems like a true autobiography.Self effacing, witty, and light as far as this type of book goes. Very funny and entertaining and showed a side of Rod Stewart that I was not aware of . Definite read!!

Considering the subject, I thought it was well written, with a lot of self-effacing humor. It was interesting to read about the rock start lifestyle and he clearly learned a lot about himself, both good and bad, never losing sight of where he came from. This book was very touching at times which also added to the appeal.

Rod Stewart held nothing back and told it all. Gave credit where credit was due. Gave compliments and regards to family, friends and others. He is a very caring, simple man who admittedly was weak to beautiful women falling at his feet. Turned out to be admired and a great song writer and entertainer!

Rod Stewart has written reasonably honest portrayal of how fun and exciting it is to be a rock star. Let's be real, who wouldn't want to be a rock star with stadiums full of screaming fans, mansions, fabulous cars and everyone at your bidding, at least for awhile?

Rod did and is still doing it and reports that he loves it! I loved reading about it and so will you. Enjoy!

This is a well written, thorough autobiography. While it is not a page turner, it is very interesting, and funny. He has quite a sense of humor. His ego is not as big as I had previously thought and he has no problem making fun of himself. I am enjoying this read.

Having grown up listening to Rod Stewart and having a friend recommend this book I thought I would love it. I do love biographies but this one was just a bit drawn out and long, and couldn't keep my interest.

This is a delightfully enlightening look into the ups and downs of life in the girl wind lifestyle of my absolute favorite singer he hid nothing and that brought a depth of realism to the story of his life. Thank you so much for sharing your life with all of us for so many years

Wow. 8 children with 5 different women!!! I think Rod Stewart did a good job in writing this book. It was most likely a
come clean and feel better about yourself. Alchol, drugs, cheating, you name it he did it.
I wish I would not have read it. I liked Rod much better before.

This is an easy and entertaining read about an aging rock star. I'm not that big a fan, but I'm enjoying the book, and I know my wife loved it (she's the one who wanted it). We saw Stewart perform in Las Vegas recently, and he put on a great show.

Interesting story of how Rod Stewart became a singer. Lots of background and info and tales of his relations with other musicians and romantic interests. He was quite a dog but comes off quite unscathed.

Grew up listening to Rod, have great memories "dancing the night's away". This book was well written, can almost hear his voice telling his story. I still hope to see him on stage soon. YES , I still think he's sexy! Get the book it's well worth it.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He is the ultimate Rod Stewart fan. So, this was one of his favorites. It's a pretty easy read. The nice thing is that Rod is totally honest about his life. That's kind of refreshing in an autobiography.

This book was very well written and the photographs were a bonus which I didn't expect! Having been a fan since the early 70' s, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about one of my favorite people. Thank you, Mr. Stewart. Love you & looking forward to your new album!

I really enjoyed this auto biography and found that it made me want to listen to more Rod Stewart music. I also got me listening to Long John Baldry music which I really enjoy. Its often great to learn how well known singers live.

While this book was lengthy, it was most enjoyable. It was a blast to read of Rod's early years, segueing through his teens, and all of his sexual escapades. I really have a new appreciation for him, because well into his 60's now, he has truly grown up and become a great man.

I always liked Rod Stewart a little bit but after reading this book I like him more. It seems very honest and also funny many times. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in the rock scene in the early days and in him as a person.

I have always loved Rod Stewart. After reading this book I feel he did a very honest autobiography of his life even though he was pretty much a bad boy. The tranaction went very easy and the book came in great condition. I only waited a few days for it to arrive.

This wasn't my favourite autobiography ever, but I still really enjoyed it. First of all I was quite impressed that for a seemingly sparsely educated boy, his writing is very good. What I liked best about it, however, was his honesty and his style of "chatting" to the reader. Good on yer Rod!

I've seen the reviews criticizing the way this "autobigraphy" was written. But I feel when it is written by a person about themselves they should be able to write the way they want. Whether it follows the "rules' or follows the way they may think or talk. This is clearly for people who love Rod Stewart and were interested in more of his life than the media could ever possibly know or give you. If you want honesty, raw emotions, funny bits, sad bits and a complete story. Read This.

Rod: The Autobiography is a great book telling of Rod's earlier life until the present. I wish that they were more pictures as most Rod Stewart fans would enjoy a bigger glimpse into Rod's family life.

Enjoyed the autobiography telling the story of Rod's history with the Faces and his solo career, along with his many girlfriends, wifes, and children. Traveling all over the world, his homes, his cars. Albums, live performances, song writing. A great career story and an entertaining book to read.

I skipped through about half of this book, but still enjoyed reading the other half of it. I remember when "Maggie May" was a huge hit. I was 18 years old. I liked "You Wear it Well" too. That's why I bought the book to see what Rod was up to back in 1971. Not my kind of guy or music, but a good story teller.
