The Chet & Bernie mystery series are page turners for me! Just love Chet. The story is always a good mystery with many twists and turns keeping you on the edge of your seat. The passage where Chet meets Iko, made my chest tight!!! Keep up the good work, Spencer Quinn.

I just love the Chet and Bernie series. Reading from Chet's point of view just makes the books even more grand. Lots of humor and of course, Chet and Bernie getting into lots of trouble. If you love animals and mysteries and humor..this is for you.

I think Quinn's stories are getting better and better. It seems like he keeps getting deeper into Chet's psyche and drolly reporting what the heck's going on. The love between Bernie and Chet is really representative of how so many of us feel about our canine companions.

This is the best insight into Chet's thinking yet, and of course he is always entertaining and downright hilarious. I love Chet and Bernie and it is really hard for me to keep in mind they are fictitious!! The sad part is realizing I have read the whole series and have to wait for the next book. Keep it up Spencer Quinn!!

I could read Spencer Quinn's books about Chet and Bernie all day. Chet the Jet is so funny. He gets distracted sometimes and most of the time it's about food. They always get their man or woman!!!!! The narration by Chet is hilarious and brilliant!

Have been reading this series since it began. Being a longtime dog lover, find the narrative from Chet (the jet), particularly endearing. Series is fast moving, great cast of characters,& always located in interesting local.

"Bernie, Bernie, Bernie," I'm sure Chet must have said to himself. "That fifty grand could have gotten us out of hock, kept the Porsche tip-top, and had us eating like kings." Read the book, and I bet you'll be thinking the same thing.

Another Chet and Bernie book. We buy them all because we enjoy them. If you liked the others, this one follows the formula. I got through this in a day and liked. This is not great literature but it is fun to read...if you like dogs

Super addition to the Chet and Bernie series. Quinn took some big steps out of his normal box and the Little Detective team had to work in a very different locale. Many new experiences for both of them, including rain.

I love the warmth and humor this series always delivers. I love Chet . I love the relationship. I hope my dogs think even a bit as much oh me as Chet does Bernie. Stories adventures are fun of course also. Keep them coming!

Once again Spencer Quinn has written a fun and curious story, as usual I love Chet and his devotion to Bernie, his thoughts amuse and keep the story funny... Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I really like Spencer Quinn's books. This one is funny and interesting mainly because of the locale. Like the narration of the dog, Chet. It gives another perception on what is happening--sort of another point of view. Bring on more of Chet and Bernie!

I have never been disappointed by the Chet and Bernie stories. Although Chet did a little to much talking in this one. His encounter in the water and with the Gator was awsome. Can't wait until the next adventure.

I love all the Spencer Quinn books, however he has outdone himself in the Sound and the Furry. I haven't finished this book yet, and I want it to go on forever. Thanks Spencer for giving me insight into the mind of a dog through Chet's narration.

This was another exciting adventure with Chet and Bernie. It was set in Louisiana which added another dimension to the story. My favorite is being in Chet' s mind. I wonder if that's how a dog really thinks?

Spencer Quinn doesn't disapppoint with this year's Chet and Bernie offering. You'd think it would get old, but it doesn't. Not at all. Chet is my favorite character in the history of fiction, I think. Can't wait for the next one.

So far I am enchanted with Chet and Bernie. Sometimes Bernie makes some dangerous errors in judgement and doesn't always take heed to Chet's common dog sense.
What a great and fulfilling series. Keep it up!

Chet the amazing mutt and his partner Bernie run the Little Detective Agency. I have read the entire series and each one is as great a read as the others. Highly recommend to dog lover, mystery lovers, etc.

So the stories are a little formulaic: Bernie gets in trouble, Chet saves him. Chet gets in trouble, Bernie saves him. But the writing is so entertaining--sometimes laugh out loud funny--that the books are always a good read.

We have enjoyed all of Spencer Quinn's books because they are a breath of fresh air; a story being told from a dog's perspective. We could just imagine the funny stories our own four dogs could tell.

Chet is so lovable with such cute sayings and his thoughts. He is an excellent detective, and also Bernie, of course! I have read every book in this series and look forward to the next one. Thank you, Spencer, for creating them and makIng them come alive in my mind as I read.

I thoroughly enjoyed all Mr Quinn series re/Chet and Bernie. Wish there would be more. Hopefully he will write more. I have read thousands od books by many authors but these books are the first of a kind for me and felt sad when I finished the last one.

Just finished The Sound and the Furry, by Spencer Quinn. I have enjoyed the series so far, but Quinn has really hit his stride here. The mystery is well-plotted and engaging and we get a better read on Bernie's character than in the previous books. There are very few narrators I enjoy better than Chet the dog. Not a main-course kind of book, but definitely a satisfying snack.

'My name is Chet, pure and simple' was down right hilarious in some of his musings. The previous Chet books had kind of lost some of his funny wit, but the author seems to have regained it, and then some!
