5 Amazing and Brilliantly Written Stars!!!!!!

I LOVED the first book and had been waiting ever so impatiently, lol, for this book and OMG was it out of this world...above and beyond, what I expected! The writing was SUPERB, perfect, it was dark, it was twisted and warped and Ronan, oh my, his life since a child was horrific to say the least. The "training" he had to endure as an 8 year old was beyond f'ed up...it was brutal, it was terrorizing, it was so dark that I truly wondered if this beautifully scarred man could ever see the light and then......SASHA!!!! Oh gosh, she was the light in his very deep and dark tunnel and the way she brought him out into the light was utterly breathtaking and beautiful and yet she was oh so gentle and tender too at times. Ronan was like a frightened kitten, he was like a deer in the headlights, he had no idea what it was like to feel and even more so what feelings of love and compassion, etc were like! His backstory gutted me whole! My heart was obliterated into a million tiny pieces over time as I read about his past. I couldn't help but to root for this man through and through and hope and pray he would see the light, HIS light, that was right in front of him in the form of the beautiful Sasha!!!!

Now, Sasha, this girl was phenomenal.....serious girl-crush going on here for this beautifully wounded, fragile girl who had the weight of the world literally upon her shoulders. This girl was selfless and honestly the way her sister treated her at one point made me want to reach in and punch out Emily's lights, lol. Yeah, Sasha endured a whole lot and I couldn't help but hurt for her and yet admire her for her strength through it all. Yes, it was so hard to read about her almost ready to give up...the burdens, the heartache, the utter devastation that her life had become but through it all she never ever gave up and she never gave up on Ronan most importantly!!!!!!!

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book HARD! I loved the first book and this one was no exception. There are secondary characters who have intrigued me and left me wanting oh so much more on a lot of them and I cannot wait to continue with this series.

Author A. Zavarelli, you are officially a favorite author of mine and I will be awaiting all of your books in the future:) Congrats on another Masterpiece, another Grand Slam, another brilliantly and yet oh so beautifully told mafia story. The writing, the storyline, the characters were done perfectly and your attention to details had me feeling as though I was living in their moment, I felt like I was watching a movie because everyone, everything played out so perfectly in my head. I could "see" and relate to all of your characters.....BRAVO to you:) I am just in awe of your talents!

Mind blowing! Ronan is wonderful. My heart went out to him. I found myself wanting to comfort him and give him the affection he never had. I'm so glad that he got a happily ever after. If anyone deserves it it's him.

Five stars, "Reaper" is excellent! Ronan was a tortured soul who grew up without love. He fell for Sasha and carried a torch (stalk much?) for her for years before fate finally brought them together! Keep up the good work, A. Zavarelli!

Reaper has definitely earned a place in the Mafia genre Hall of Fame! What an awesome sequel in the phenomenal Boston Underworld series!

Ronan is the Reaper. "No one in 'the life' can kill a man in as many ways as the Reaper can...."says everyone! But underneath the tough, can't touch me exterior, beats the heart of a tortured soul. One doomed to live this life alone until he meets his heartbeat, the mate to his soul, Sasha.

Sasha has experienced a world of hurt and has sacrificed her life, her body, her existence to members of the Mafia to keep her mother and sister safe. She seems defeated and fated to be nothing more than what she is until her soul cries out for its other half.....Ronan.

Ronan and Sasha are in the middle of a war. A Mafia war. Someone wants to wipe out the Irish syndicate in Boston and is willing to do ANYTHING to make it happen. Ronan will do anything to protect the Syndicate and the Boss and anyone who tries will have to go through him. Can Ronan protect Sasha and the syndicate while conquering his own demons?

This is definitely a five- star read! It's a beautifully written, gut wrenching, poignant story of two tortured souls finding their niche as a couple in the Irish Mafia!

Sasha has a secret that involves an Irish Mobster Ronon. They share the knowledge of a murder together. They cannot afford for it to get out . Read and find the answers you will enjoy this book. This was given to me to give a true and honest review.

Narrator Review:
Tracy Marks is the same narrator as in book one and she was very consistent with her continuation of the characters in this series. I loved the accents and I would recommend this audible book.

Story Review:
Reaper is the continuation to a dark mob series that focus on one couple, however all the characters are in each book. You could read this as a standalone but I would recommend starting with book one.

I love how characters surprise me. In the first book, I wasn't really a fan of Ronin. He was pretty harsh with Mac and that didn't endear him to me. In this book? Wow! There was so much more to Ronin that completely changed my mind about him.

I didn't like that Ronin purposely stayed away from Sasha for so long, but when you learn his past... it makes so much sense. His childhood was just heartbreaking. It explained so much about who he is. You can't help but fall for him and want him to find that love he never had.

Sasha and Ronin both deserved to be happy. They have been through so much that most people would have given up on life long ago. Their story just makes me ready to jump right into the next book and see what we are gonna get next.

I purchased the kindle version of this book, however I was given this free review audio book copy at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

4 Stars for Zavrelli's Boston Underworld 2. REAPER is Ronan and Sasha's story. It is a beautiful story about two broken souls who love eachother unconditionally. It takes years for them both to finally get together. Can they stay together through the lies, betrayal and ugliness of being involved with the syndicate? Can Ronan tell Sasha of his past and his demons ?
Zavarelli surprised me with REAPER. Ronan's character is so complex and Sasha is a strong h always thinking of others and never for what her needs may be. Ronan changes all of insecurities and she finally decides to take what she wants. These two characters have to over come some big communication issues. I have enjoyed this series and REAPER. I am hoping Zavarelli continues with this story. I highly recommend REAPER , It can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading CROW. Some events are repeated from CROW in REAPER but it's from Sasha and Ronan's POV. These events are brought into the light. This is one thing I enjoyed so far with this series because she gives a glimpse at what her other characters were thinking.
. Happy Reading!

Considering how disgusting the first pages were in the 'hero's' (and I use the word loosely here) point of view, I did not finish.

Can someone pass the Clorox, please? I'd like to scrub my brain now. Utterly gross. I'm all for punishing rapists, but that was sick.

Also, from the heroine's point of view in first chapter, why doesn't he help her family out? They live in poverty, her mother is dying, and where is hero boy? He's supposedly fixated on her, so ... eh, never mind. I'm done.

This story is beautiful and smoothly follows Crow. If you read Crow, you have to read Reaper. The author does a great job of telling Ronan's story and developing his character throughout the book. I would recommend this book.
