This is another amazing book that continues the Infinity Blade series! This book takes place between the second and third game, and does not continue after the first book. The details of the story are gripping and give me such a new perspective on the game world of Infinity Blade. I think this book, as short as it is, deserves 5 stars.

After reading the first book, I was super excited to pick this one up and continue. I was not disappointed either. It was excellent. It had the perfect amount synchronization between the two stories that played out switching back in time. I loved this book and can't wait for the next one.

It fills in the gaps and answers the questions the games do not. when I played the first 2 games I was desperate for answers, but every boss I beat just added more questions. Read the books foe the whole story.

Great storyline. Makes you think about so many things, God's perspective, flawed humanity, the influence of power, so much to think about. Thinly crafted compared to much of Sanderson's work, but done so perfectly as this is a novella and speed is an important product.

I had first wread his work when he finished The Wheel of Time series and thought he did a seemles and well executed job. I then tried The Mistborn series. Loved it!! And now the Infinity Blade series. This guy can write and is very inovative in the ways he portrays magic. He has become one of my favorite authors in a short time.

I am really disappointed that there will be no more additions to this world that we got to know in these books. It is as fascinating and thrilling as all the other settings from Sanderson. I would love to read a whole series of this and especially on the early years of the Deathless.

The book was interesting with all the twists and turns. At the end of the book it tells the beginning of the third game and explains it even better than the game. If anyone wants a book with excitement that you can read and play than this is book (but first read the first infinity blade book, this book will make more sense).

I have played both games and decided to read this book for the sake of my curiosity, what I found surprised me, there was layers upon layers of contradictions, betrayals and lies and a wonderful backstory woven together, I'm surprised, but I think this was one of the best books I have read.

I believe this is one of the best books I've ever read. I just finished the first one the other day and this was an EPIC conclusion to the long since began journey that embarked on. I love this book!!!!!!

Highly action packed with just the right amount of intrigue and drama. The great thing about any Sanderson book is that he does not drag out the story and therefore keeps the audience griped till the very end.

I read the first "Infinity Blade" book and thought it was acceptable, but below Sanderson's potential. He has put out some excellent work.
He's also put out some clunkers. For example, I'm partway through this book and I can't force myself to care what happens next or to whom. I doubt I'll finish it, which is rare for me.

"Infinity Blade: Redemption" is the second installment in Brandon Sanderson's short story series. These books are based on the video game of the same name. I don't play video games, but enjoyed the first book despite that fact. I was excited to read this second one as I felt the story of the first book deserved a longer, more thorough exploration. I'm a big fan of Sanderson and before reading "Redemption" I had seen nothing from him that I considered less than excellent. That changed after reading this one.
"Redemption" is clunky in its storytelling and lacks the near perfect flow that most of Sanderson's other works have. This book opens with Siris and the godking trapped in some sort of prison for the soul, where for some period of time, they've been taking turns killing each other. (Apparently I missed something here - because when the last book ended, Sirius was a free man, and there's nothing in this book that explains how he and the godking (Raidriar) became trapped together) Isa comes back from the first book to rescue Siris (also called Ausar for much of this book) and he and the godking eventually team up to try and defeat "the worker" who has taken over control of all of the godking's lands and people while he's been imprisoned. At the end of the book, there is a big "Matrix-like" reveal and the godking has to make a choice to serve the Worker or to sacrifice himself for his people.
This second book is even more incomplete than the first one, and while I was able to put the pieces together the first time and enjoy the story, there's just too much missing here. I have to assume that people who play the video game have picked up the missing pieces through game play, but for people like myself who just read the books, this novella is a big disappointment. Too many holes, too many assumptions, too little character development, too much unrealized potential. This book is a disaster for Sanderson. There is no excuse for such an accomplished and gifted author to give his readers something like this. At the very least, there should have been some kind of prologue that explained what had happened between the two books so those of us who don't play the games weren't completely lost. Very disappointed.

This second installment of the series was even better than the first. It isn't a finish to the story, but there were some HUGE revelations. So it's hard to discuss the plot without giving away the surprises.
It's important to know it doesn't start where the last book left off. It starts where the game Infinity Blade II left off. So I can't even discuss that much without giving away the surprises in that plot ending.
And the surprises are at the heart of this book. The battle scenes are few and described broadly, rather than in detail. That's not to say the book is slow. It's very fast paced, with fights and death and even explosions. But they are overshadowed by the deeply emotional character changes and plot twists.
Love, love, loved this novella. But I'd strongly recommend playing the first game before reading the first book and the second game before reading this book--or at least reading about the plot of the games on the web. :)

i loved this book. Sanderson is the best writer whose work i have ever had the privledge of reading and this one taps into all my favorite subjects: expert duelists, magic, humor, technology, rebellions, assasins(or reformed theif) and a hero with a redemption story. although there are a few bumps and holes in the story, but i didnt see any problem with it. the roughness(for lack of a better term) adds a sense for the brutality of the time.
i have never wanted to play a game more than the one that follows the storyline of this book. unfortunately my kindle paperwhite is powered by a dinosaur on a hamster wheel and cant get the game.
my only regret is the length... or lack thereof. i wanted it to be 300 pages longer and include the defeat of the worker but unfortunately thats what the game is for.
in conclusion this book is amazing. and i hope against all logic that there will be a final installation to this series. probabely wont be though.
i can still dream, cant I?

This is a short story/novela and it is a tie-in to a game, but bearing that in mind I felt like it was better than the first Infinity Blade book and was setting up an intriguing premise. For a couple of dollars it is definitely worth it - once again a very short read, but a nice read between more substantial books.

It is interesting enough to read but very short and abrupt in the ending and does not feel like I read a book. More like part 2 of a book. Maybe that is the intent write the book in a parts so that the final sale price adds up to regularly priced novel. I have read several of his works. It could be great but not seeing it yet.

A bit different from the first installment, but in a very interesting way. I almost wish this was a full Sanderson-esque stand alonr 1000 page novel so that the questions could be offered up, explored, and answered, but all in all it's a solid novella in a very interesting world.

Brandon Sanderson finished Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. I thought he did a decent job, so I picked up Infinity Blade: Awakening. I thought is was a good book so I got Redemption also. The goodness continued; however, I was disappointed that there was no continuation of this series.

The first one is better because the secound one Raidrar and Siris are in the worker of secrets prison and it is just how many times they could kill each other. But i still havent finished so i am hoping it will git better.
